Located off the Elevator Lobby, the Cafeteria is a large room with numerous round tables,lots of comfy chairs, large (albeit fake) windows and constant background noise. On the left wall of the Cafeteria is a counter selling fresh sandwiches and salads, while a range of hot and cold beverages (and junk food) is available from the table-top vending machine.

The table top vending machines work using a table-mounted menu of items. You touch the item you want on the list, then watch your head! as your selected item descends from the ceiling. The cans of Pumpkin Juice can be particularly painful if one hits you on the head.

A team of busboys (and girls, and possibly some House Elves) will clear your plates as soon as you are done.

Hannah entered the Cafetaria and took a look around it. It was a busy place. She thought of making new friends as she is straight to ministry finishing her studies but she saw three of them chatting and laughing loudly and there were some others too. She just thought to herself "life is really busy" seeing this people.So she decided to buy something for her and then think about it.

Chelsea shook her head. He didn't understand what she said. The reason why she didn't like someone paying for her, it was because she had a certain pride to her independent. "I didn't mind that I didn't accept you as friend, it's just that I'm not used to someone paying for me. I'm someone who always took care of myself. I know it can be painful sometimes." She drank a little bit of her coffee while listening to what he had to say next.
"I have to admit that I had to improve it a little. Muggle product are good but sometimes aren't as good as I wish it will be."

She laughed at the fact he mention she was workaholic, which was very true. She always took a pleasure of working but sometimes, some tasks were more painful than others. "I have to admit that I am. I love my job and I do my best to try to make it the best of my knowledge." Smiling at the fact that he was finding it interesting to work here wasn't surprising her at all. "That's a nice way to start."

Gerald looked around for a minute. He saw a young girl? Yes, girl sitting alone and looking around the place. Seemed looking for someone to talk. He went over there and said, "Hi, if you dont mind, you can join with us. Sitting alone is not nice" he said with a warm smile.

Gerald always likes arguments. And he'd some luck to win most of the time. He looked straight into her eyes. Obviously her hair interfered everytime he tried to look her eyes. The colour made the difference.
"I understand. But you should allow others too to take some advantage at sometime Miss.Chelsea. It'll help to make more friends. I love to do it. Try for this..." he said as he pushed aside his hair which fell on his face.

Estelle was starting to get a little annoyed now because her fellow Death Chamber employee's hadn't turned up yet to help her clean those disgusting equipment. So after sitting in that chamber, doing her work, Estelle had finally decided she needed a big break from there. She just had to get away from the smell of that cleaning potion.

She noticed that the room was very crowded. She found an empty seat somewhere in the middle of the buzzing cafeteria and sat down, sighing.

Chelsea didn't want to argue with him and never had troubles making friends yet either. Letting him pushing aside her hair, she replied to him. "You are the first one to tell me this. I never had troubles and always been straight forward to everybody I talk to." Wanted to change subject she add:"Talking about the wizardry cloathing, I never had much troubles since I'm making my own stuff."

She was glad that he love sports too. Quidditch was so popular in her family that it was a ritual talking about it. "That's awesome for you two. I know that one of my cousins is Quidditch captain for his house at school and I remember playing for my house. It so much fun. I mean the speed and everything."She nodded as she heard about the car race. It wasn't her favorite sport but she had to admit that it was rather fun to watch. "It's a nice sport but I'm more into hockey for winter sport and soccer for summer sport as muggle game. Both can be violent but so much fun to play."

Estelle did't. She didn't like animals. Well, she liked curps and small harmless animals and stuff, but she was terrified of bugs and spiders and any of those creepy animals. And the big ones of course.

"Department of Mysteries." She answered Nevarna's question and hoped she wouldn't enquire about the work they do down there.

Finally there was something to speak for both of them in common. Gerald let out a whistle very mildly.
"Yeah..my two cousins are the quidditch captains in their school. They're still studying. I dont believe the past. I had three firebolts for my own. Two of them are the presents given by our Quidditch teachers. They loved me and my speediness." he said but slightly looked like drowing into his school days.
"Sorryyyy...I never watched the hockey and I do watch soccer sometime. Because I love the individual sports mostly" he finished and still watching the other two young workers of the Ministry.

Luriken escaped his department and went down to the cafeteria. He saw Estelle and stopped, a smile appeared on his face but he went to the food counter and bought two chocolate muffins and some cookies.

Walking over to Estelle he bowed slightly at the girl talking to her and set the cookies down on the table "I heard you really like these." he broke a piece of his muffin and popped it into his mouth.

Luriken smiled and bit his muffin "So you escaped the Department Of Mysteries?" he sat across from her and pulled his chair up. He set his muffin on the table and ate it peice by peice.

"I didn't escape my department." She lied and blushed a little. "I like my job. I am here just for a ~~big~~ small break." That wasn't entirely a lie. She did like it, but she just didn't think scrubbing knives was her kind of thing. One thing she did want to know is what others thought happened in the department of Mysteries. it would be really funny to knew what all they come up with.

She bit into her cookie again and then looked at Nevarana and then back at Luriken. Of course she hadn't introduced them, unless they already knew each other, which she doubted.

"Nevarana, meet Luriken." She said. "And Luriken meet Nevarana." She beamed at the two of them and looked back at Luriken.

Luriken chuckled at Estelle "Ok, whatever you say." he looked at her friend "Hello Nevarana, what department are you?" he decided not to smile anymore it wasn't hard his face was just getting tired and Estelle wasn't making it easy on his cheeks. He bit the muffin and found a section with melting chocolate, smiling slightly he dipped his finger in it and popped it into his mouth.

Blushing a little he pulled his finger from his mouth and ate the rest of his muffin.

"Thats cool" Nevarna replied coolly. Nevarna happily took a cookie and exclaimed "Yep, those are genuine!" "Hi Luriken" she added. She blushed when Estelle pronounced her name wrong "Its Ne-varn-a" she muttered quietly. "I work in the Department For the Control of Magical Creatures. What about you?"

Estelle felt guilty about pronouncing Nevarna's name wrong. She was still red. "So sorry again." She said again. She felt horrible because she had a few people who couldn't pronounce her name right which annoyed her a great deal. in fact there was thei boy in her year at Hogwarts who...never mind.

Aha! He smiled! She didn't know why, but she loved it when he smiled. It sort of made her smile for some strange reason.

Hang on one minute.

Him smiling made her smile? What if she liked him as more than just a friend. What if she....Nah. She has just read tooo many romance books. God. She sure has to keep her hands off them for a while. Yes. That's it. Nothing more. Nope. "Nothing more." She whispered to herself.
