| | |  Minister of Magic's Office
The door to the Minister's office is heavy wood and quite imposing. Aside from being a carved masterpiece detailing the history of the founding of the Ministry of Magic, it was also charmed with innumberable spells intended to provide the man or woman inside the office with privacy and safety. It had worked, too, as no Minister had been killed or spied on within these walls in years. Outside of these walls... that was a totally different story.
Once inside the office, the furniture was dark wood and forest green leather. It was a somber place, but very dignified and important. The desk was massive, wrought with brass detailing and a variety of drawers with several locks each. The plate on the desk had scrolling letters:
Brennan A. Cooper, Minister of Magic
The most significant aspect of the office, though, was that it had the traditional magnificent view associated with a man of such rank. Two large windows looked out over the city. It took a careful eye to realize that the first view of London was much higher than any building should be, especially considering the office was underground. The second view revealed itself to not even be a view of London at all. It was Paris, as the Eiffel Tower was visible in the distance. | |

Mackenzie noted that the Minister became very short with her and thought perhaps she had said something to make him uncomfortable or offended. Concerned that Minister Cooper was unhappy with her, but obviously not wanting to address the matter, Mackenzie's face showed a small frown for a momemt but then changed into an attempt at a cheerful smile. As she grasped the door handle, Mackenzie replied simply, "Yes, sir." and exited the Minister' office.

Rhiannon entered the office of the Minister with a purposeful stride. Giving the man behind the desk a pleasant smile, she stood before him and extended her hand.
"Its a pleasure to meet you Minister Cooper. I don't believe we have been formerly introduced. Rhiannon Knight, Death Chamber Division Head."
Shaking his hand firmly if not briefly, Rhiannon immediately pressed on to the matter at hand. She was never one for too many pleasantries when there was a job to be done. Tucking a long strand of dark hair behind her ear, she brought the Minister up to speed.
"As you may know sir, the Brain Room is in dire need of brains to the point where it is unable to function properly. My Department Head Elijah Wright has made it my assignment to assist Professor Branxton in procuring more brains. Which brings me why I am here now. I have met with Professor Branxton and he has informed me that he is in need of at least three brains as soon as possible. Fortunatley, I have been able to find three donors in storage that I feel may fit the requirements needed. Emmeline Vance, Amelia Susan Bones, and Igor Karkaroff. Since the brain extraction process is somewhat timely and delicate I decided to meet you in person rather than send a memo. This way I will be able to begin right away and hopefully help get the Department of Mysteries back on track all the sooner. So if I may get your approval on these three donors I will be able to get started. I already have my employees preparing the equipment in the hopes we can start soon."
Rhiannon took a deep breath at the end of her speech and placed the authorization papers in front of the Minister. She was a bit shocked at herself to find she felt a little nervous. She wasn't one to be nervous at all, especially after serving as an Auror for two years. As she waited for the Minister to answer her, Rhiannon couldn't help but notice that Cooper was by far the best looking Minister she had seen. OI! What was wrong with her?! Feeling her cheeks flush, another thing that never happened, Rhiannon lowered her eyes and cleared her throat self-consciously. She hoped he didn't notice her silliness. Usually she quite prided herself on being professional at all times.

"Ah, my dear... I'm happy to help," he signed the paper with a flourish and grinned at her hugely. "But you MUST do me a turn as well. Be sure you tell Mr. Branxton that I'm doing this as a special favor to him. Payment for services rendered. Please be sure you tell him that from me." He shoved the paper back at her.

Rhiannon was a bit taken back by the Minister's huge smile, but thankfully took the approval papers from him. Her brow furrowed slightly at his strange remark, but, she nodded curtly and returned his smile. "Thank you Minister Cooper. And I will deliver your message as you requested sir." Making a graceful turn, she made her way to the door her long dark hair swaying behind her. Somehow, she had a feeling there was a lot of history between the Minister of Magic and the Brain Room Division Head. Smiling to herself, Rhiannon left the Minister's office with the thought that she would find out what the mystery was. After all, mysteries were right up her alley.
