The Magical Security Desk, where visitors to the Ministry check-in. The desk is made of dark, shiny wood. A complex device is placed on top of it. It is used for weighing wands. Beside the device is a small machine that prints out wand reciepts.
Only members of the Magical Security Office are allowed behind the desk. Guests to the Ministry of Magic, please step up and state your reason for visiting.
OOC: Do not Role-Play for a worker at the Security Desk. We will respond to your character and help them with their check-in, but it may take a little time. Please be patient. | |

As Rhiannon arrived at the security desk, she saw Cassandra Trelawney ahead of her. She heard the Slytherin say what she was at the Ministry for, and thought, Guess I'm not the only student wanting to get licensed.
Taking her wand out of her bag, wanting to be ready once someone was available to help her, she waited quietly for someone to speak to her.

Lauren checked each of the wands carefully even though she knew that there would probably be no reason to check them. Lauren replied to them. "Here are your visitor badges, if you could just give it back to me when you are done" lauren carefully handed the two women their visitor passes. She remembered how exciting apparation testing was when she had been seventeen. "Good luck" she smiled to the two.

Nathan wandered into the security offices, looking for someone to assist him. He had dirt smeared across his forehead where he had brushed his soaking wet hair out of his eyes. He was trying his best to remain calm, but the lack of security in this place was just abysmal. Children, muggle children at that, had been swiped by some mischievous house elves right under the noses of them all. He cleared his throat and gave the person behind the desk the best smile he could muster. “Excuse me?” he said politely. “I’m not sure if I’m in the right place. I need to report an incident which took place by the fountain in the atrium a few minutes ago.”

“Go and take a look, mate.” Nathan said pointing out the door with a muddy finger. “The house elves have gone mental. Rain and dirt everywhere in the atrium.” He frowned at the man behind the desk. “And to make matters worse they've vanished, taking some children with them.” He shook his head slightly. “I have a horrible suspicion that they were muggle children. I have no idea how they came to be in the Ministry.” Lack of security was the most likely explanation - the place was in absolute chaos. “My colleagues and I are busy searching the premises for them all. But a little assistance from you lot would be very helpful.” He told the man.
