Through a frosted glass door behind the security desk in the Atrium lies a few offices. Down a short hallway and to your left lies the office for the Security Division Head. Continue down the hallway and at the very end is a blue and yellow door with round glass cut outs.

Egypt Greenwood

Department Head for Maintenance and Security

Is the nameplate stuck to the door. Walking into the office your feet are massages by the blue plush carpet under your feet. One expansive wall is covered from top to bottom with books of varying subjects, and on the other there are pictures of her family. Her husband and children can be seen running in and out of most of them. In the center of the room is a round Lucite desk with a blue chair behind.

Egypt's door is always open to her employees and co-worker. She is not big on ceremonies like knocking. Just be respectful if someone else is already inside. If Mrs. Greenwood is not in her office feel free to have a seat on the couch in front of her desk and help yourself to the chocolates on her desk and wait. Or leave her a nice little note and she will get back to you as soon as possible.

"So how are you liking things on Level 8. I know this isn't the glamor of the Ministry, but this place wouldn't run without all of our hard work, and I appreciate everything that you do here." She said honestly.

"Thanks for the appreciation. I usually don't get thanked. People just walk right by. Then they expect me to clean up the hallway or stop it raining in their office. I don't mind the hard work, though." Egypt began shuffling papers. "I know I haven't been working here for the longest time, but i was just wondering if you could allow for a little wiggle room and bump me a tad higher up?" Sam asked. She wasn't entirely hopeful that a newbie like her would get a higher job.

Egypt leaned back and listened to Sam. "Well I know we are the grunts in the Ministry,but I want you to know that as far as I am concerned I thank you for the hard work that you do." She said earnestly. She looked at her when she asked about a promotion. "Sam I myself can't grant you a promotion. That is done on Level one, but I did speak to Ms. Taylor and explained that I need a Lead Maintenance worker. That would be a promotion. If you go down to the HR department you can pick up a division head application." Egypt explained. "It is a lot more work and responsibility. So be sure you want to do that extra work before you apply. But if would be nice to see you advance. You are a very good worker." Egypt said smiling at her.

Attica raised her arm in a gesture of weak protest. "I'm fine, I'm fine. If I had to sit at home one more day I was going to scream, but if you don't mind, I'd appreciate it if you allowed me light duties for a few days until I get properly back on my feet."

Attica had been missing from the roster of the ministry office for quite some time now due to an unfortunate illness she had contracted while visiting family back home in Canada. She was just now being to feel better, but it would take some time before she would be back up to her usual chipper and detail oriented self. She hoped that Egypt would realize this and be understanding. From what she knew of the woman, Attica was sure she would be.

"I hope I didn't leave you in too much of a lurch while I was gone." said Attica apologetically. "I did try to come back as soon as I was able. I'm afraid I am a little out of the loop as to what sorts of special projects we might be working on. Could you perhaps fill me in?"

Egypt shook her head no. "Think nothing of it. We all have things that pop up in out lives that can't be avoided. I completely understand. The work got done. The important thing is that you are on the mend." She nodded with a smile. "Well I think we have had all the floors that we were asked to clean done, and security has swept all the floors. The gift shop is stocked. So it looks like you can take it easy till the conference starts." She told her with a smile.

dan walks up to the desk to ask, "Good morning Madame, I am dan Arjay, I received an owl back at home requesting my appearance to you for a job opening." Its been some day that i received it but i wasn't able to respond due to some problem at home... So what can i do to help?

Cambell stopped by the Security office that she had been to once before. "Hello, I have a memo here that you should put up for all your employies to see." She said pulling out the parchment.

"Thank you, and who should I talk to about changing the weather in Mrs. Taylor's office? DO I go straight to the Weather Control Offices or am I in the right place?" She asked.

Anastasia entered the office and saw a woman sitting behind a desk, "Good morning Miss Greenwood, I am Anastasia Willson, I was just sorted in to the maigcal security" she stated, "I was just wondering what you would like me to do today"

"And, just her office please. She would like a sunny autumn day through her window; colorful fall leaves on the trees and a bit of a breeze so she can see them moving." Cambell said, remebering all the details. "And thank you very much for pointing me in the correct location!" Cambell said smiling at her.

She looked up Anastasia when she walked into her office. "Oh please call me Egypt." She said with a smile and a wave of her hand. "Well if you could please just check level 2. I know that is the law department, but sometimes those Aurors overlook basic security." She said with a giggle. "Just make sure everything is alright. Don't bother with Mr. Wordsmith's office. Cambell laughed and she took a few steps backward, heading for the door. "Thank you very much!" She responded. "She will be happy to hear that!" Cambell said as she reached the door. "Goodbye!" She said joyfully as she left the office.

Egypt smiled at her. "Well you can check on the new bulletin board for the job announcement now." Egypt mentally kicked herself for not thinking of a bulletin board before now. "Who has a tornado in their office?" she asked.

Attica gave her boss an appreciative glance. "Thanks." she said, and meant it. "I will go and give the breakroom a bit of a once over, make sure everything is stocked and clean. Would you like me to do anything else? Has the maintenance cupboard been inventoried lately? We may be low on supplies with all of the recent activity here."

"No problem. I just want you to get better." Egypt told her. "Yes I don't think our break room has been cleaned so that would be gracious of you to clean that. I was in the cupboard a few weeks ago to sort it out but if may need another once over." She said pulling out a stock list and handing it to Attica. "Thats what we should have in there and in what quantities. If something needs to be ordered just leave a list in my inbox." She explained to her.

Sam tried to remember something about a tornado in an office. "Tornando...tornado..Oh! Someone on the fifth floor has a problem with 'em. They keep popping up every couple of days. It's actually kind of cool when you see it. It just sucks up everything! I swear I didn't do it."

Her brow furrowed as she listened to Sam. "I haven't heard anything about a tornado on level five. Is is on the whole level? Or is it in a specific place?" She said honestly. If the weather was acting up she should be the first to know. She spent hours making sure it was correct on everyone floor and she took pride in that. She didn't like it when it went all out of whack. "I know you didn't do it. I would like you to take care of it. I will go to the weather room and check that the frame isn't loose or anything." She told her.

After the lady had had her seat, Jasper took his. Still clutching his leather-bound tightly to his chest, he looked around rather nervously. Would she understand the dire urgency of what had brought him there in the first place? Only one way to find out.

"I'm very sorry about earlier, Mrs. ...", he looked towards her name placque. "Greenwood, but you see...I've been...", he began to struggle with how to communicate his reasons, although he'd rehearsed it in front of a mirror at home prior to comming down to the Ministry. "I've been...I've been trying to figure something out...in my visions. One in particular! It will affect the Ministry...all of Wizarding Britain! And I don't know what it means, but I think it's bad and I'm afraid."

'Please, I need to be down there and show them.' Was all he could think, but he didn't want to lose any way gained by trying to be calm.

She sat and listened to him talk. "No its alright." She said about his apology. Sometimes a person just needs to shout. Egypt didn't take offense to any of it. Her ears perked up when he mentioned visions. There hadn't been a Seer in the Ministry in quite sometime and she did not want to be the one to turn away a Seer who had a vision that could affect the Ministry. She would rather get in trouble for letting a crazy loon down into the bowels of the department of mysteries than to be in trouble for turning away someone who had important information that the ministry needed to hear. "Ok sir. I am going to escort you down to the department of mysteries, but if you have taken my kindness for weakness and you are jesting with me I will haul you in front of the Wizengamot myself." She said sternly as she stood up from her desk. She didn't want to be cruel but they were too close to the international conference for a crackpot to running amok in the Ministry. "Edward I will go alone thank you for help." She told her head of security. She opened the door to her office. "Sir if you will follow me." She told him.

Jessica approaches the door slowly, and raps on it gently. "Ms., I mean, Egypt, can I come in?", she asks wondering whether Egypt might be cross at her for some reason. She wasn't sure her first assigned tasks went very smoothly.

She looked up from the papers on her desk at the knock on the door. "Yes Jessica come in please." She said with a warm smile on her face. The other ministers were starting to arrive and she wanted to make sure everything on her end was speck and span and clean.
