He rubbed his hands together in anticipation. “Excellent.” he said with a smile.

He liked the wicked grin. He rarely saw that face on Egypt but it made him mirror the expression in response.

“I don't understand it. Warren's been pretty open about the subject with me but he just closes up when he speaks to Alexa.” he shook his head. “I don't get it. Alexa was in a right state the other day.”

He laughed. “Good coffee would make for happier more constructive workers. Cooper needs to get his priorities right.” he muttered quietly so only Egypt would hear. Woe betide anyone heard speaking ill about the Minister of Magic... or so Nathan had heard from (un)reliable sources.

“Ah.. that's bad. You'll be grateful for these breaks when the elves start rebelling again though.” he teased. If security actually got involved this time that is. “You know I requested their help that day and only one fella helped. One. Richard... keep an eye out for him. He's a good chap.” He told her.

She smiled at how excited he was to be cooking her a celebration dinner. "Well I am glad you are doing this for me Nathan. Thank you." She told him.

She saw the grin creeping up on his face. They were going to be naughty.

"Alexa seems to be a little more open with me as well." She said. "Maybe we should spend more time with them as a couple. Let them see us in action." As soon as she said that it gave her a giggle. "Well not in action, but just let them see how easy it is to love someone and show them that love." She told him.

"I will make sure I bring enough then. I want everyone to like work as much as we do." She said with a giggle. She raised an eyebrow when he questioned the the Minister's priorities. "Careful Mr. Greenwood. I heard Mrs. Copper had someone fired for bumping into her." She said quietly leaning toward him to speak so they wouldn't be overheard.

"Well security will be more involved if that ever happens again. I hope it doesn't." She added. She didn't want any security breaches happening at all during her watch. She was new to the job she didn't want anything to go wrong in her department or even in the Ministry. "Richard, I will make sure to watch out for him." She said with a giggle.

“My pleasure.” he smiled. He'd be shaking his booty around the kitchen in his pinny with his wine and having a ball tonight. Cooking was hardly a chore to him – it was great fun. Tweet would be able to wash those pans later on – give the wee elf something to do and show her that Nathan wasn't trying to put her out of a job.

He laughed at her slip and winked in response. “That's a really good idea. We should have them over to dinner one night. Invite them separately so they don't know the other's going to be there.” he suggested. Alexa would probably beat Nathan up for pulling such a stunt but it would definitely be worth it.

He nodded when she told him to be careful. “Is that actually true about someone getting fired for bumping into Mrs Cooper?” He raised his eyebrows. "That's nuts." Angelina Gilmore had better watch out.. she was the clumsiest woman Nathan had ever met.. and she worked in the Minister's office!

“Glad to hear it.” What hell the the Law Department... albeit a fraction of the Law Department endured that day. Things would have been a lot easier with security on their side.

"Well it will be my pleasure to enjoy your dinner," she told him with a smile.

"Yes we can make a night of it. Paris has been begging to go to the Liverpool game, we can send Tommy with her and get rid of the kids for the night and have them over for a nice little dinner party." She said brightly. Warren would take more prodding then Alexa more than likely, but she knew she could get him to go with her.

She leaned forward in her chair, "Yes some poor bloke lost his job for bumping into her. She wasn't even his wife then." She told him. "Yes it is very crazy, but what can we do about it you know." She said. It was very sad that a woman would be so shallow as to cause someone to lose their job just because they bumped into them

"Have you got much longer on your break. Or is this one of your special breaks?" She asked him, her finger tracing a pattern on the back of his hand looking up at him. "I think I may need some help restocking the higher up shelves in the supply closet." She told him.

“Good.” he replied. “Liverpool!? How on earth did my daughter get to be a Liverpool supporter?” he made a disgusted face. If she wanted to support an non-Scottish team she could have at least gone a bit further up North – Newcastle United for example. The Geordies were practically Scots anyway being right on the doorstep. “I think it sounds like a cunning plan. You can use your feminine powers of persuasion on Warren ...and I'll speak to Alexa.” he suggested. “Just don't get too persuasive... don't want to make your husband jealous now do you?” he teased.

“That's dreadful. Do we wizards not have unions like muggles do for unfair dismissal and working rights?” Obviously not.

“My special breaks?” he raised his eyebrows. “I'll have you know I work very hard for my pitiful wage Lady Greenwood.” Yeah right. Nathan did have it pretty easy when he wasn't out on a mission. He looked down at her finger tracing the back of his hand. It left a trail of goosebumps behind. “I think I have time to help out with such things.” he winked turning his hand over and curling his fingers around her hand. He stood and helped her up. “Where abouts is this supply closet?”

Abigail walked in and noticed the Notice up on the wall. She read trhoguh it quickly and spotted her name down. She nodded politely and walked back out ready to clean the Minisdtyr.

Attica manuveured herself slowly into the level eight breakroom and began tidying the mess she found there. 'For a maintenance department breakroom, you would think people would clean up after themselves.' she chuckled to herself as she got to work scrubbing a bunch of coffee stains off of the counters. She paused for a moment as a wave of dizziness passed over her. Her eyes blinked rapidly, and she clutched the counter until it subsided. Taking a deep breath, she went back to work.

After she finished wiping the counters, Attica moved on to tidying the various couches and chairs resting around the room. Normally she would have done this by hand, but in her weakened condition, she felt sure she would pass out if she had to exert herself that much. She pulled out her wand from the inside pocket of her coveralls and tidied the room quickly. By the time she was finished, it was spotless and shined with the particular glimmer you can only get from magical cleaning. Attica wiped the sweat off of her forehead with her handkerchief, then exited the room, shutting the door behind her.

Abigail walked in and began to clean the windows. They had a large maintenance group but still it looked as though the windows had never had a spot of cleaning donce to them. As Abigail manually scrubbed the inches of thick grime off the windows, it did make her feel a tad queazy. Perhaps a transfer would do her well.

Never mind. Continue scrubbing Ab. Gah. She winced at the pain of sliding her finger along and uneven part of the glass. No blood, which happened to be alright. There were another 4 windows to clean. Happily, this one seemed to actually be the dirtiest. She continued to clean taht window.

Dan stepped into what it seems to e a new breakroom. It was very clean and indeed maintained for the events. He approached his locker and fetched a bench robe and sat on a bench while he fixed his shoes. he can even smell the lavander soap used on the bathroom. He stood and left the room.

Dan entered the breakroom to get his robes that needs to be repairing. He muttered "Reparo" And the robe was automatically fixed He then waited outside for he received a note from a colleague that she will meet him there.

"Hey, I'm Lisa, what's your name?"Lisa entered the breakroom and saw a girl,and introduced herself.She didn't know a lot of people here and like they all say it wouldn't hurt to make a new friend.


Jessica noticed Dan and waved at him"Hi,"she said smiling.

Abigail looked at the girl and smiled. "Hey Im Abigail." She smiled. "New here?" She looked a tad quiet as if she didnt have many friends at the place. She would soon get some.

Jess just smiled at the girl."Yeah, I dont know a lot of people here..you know."Jessica trailed off.

Abigail smiled. "Yeah I know. Its hard. I dont speak to anyone here really. Its hard y'know."

Jessica smiled back. "Yeah, it's like sometimes you want to go and talk to someone but you feel really shy and you like hope they would make the first move. That happens to me a lot,"she said smiling, not aware of the fact that she was sort of blabbering.

As one of her first duties as division head, Attica wished to ensure she knew each and every member of her department. As such, she went around to various locations on level eight and posted a notice.

Dan was vey eage the meet and geet the new Divisions Head for the Maagical Maintenance team so he was vey early that only a few was there already.

Jessica watched as one of the workers came in and posted a notice.She walked over to it and read it carefully.New head of Division?she frowned. She looked around quickly to see if the room was clean, and fortunately it was.She sighed with relief, and sat down on one of the couches.

Abigail walked in and looked at the other people in there. New head of department.. Odd. She smiled at the girl she recognised for speaking to before.

Lisa smiled at the girl she had met once before in the breakroom."Hi,"she mumbled to her.Lisa glanced at her watch once again.

"Hey." Abigail smiled at her as she again looked up at the large clock on the wall waiting for the meeting to start.

It had taken Attica far longer to get over to the breakroom to commence her meeting than she would have liked. She had to admit that she was quite nervous. This would be her first management position, and she really wanted everything to go well. As she placed her hand on the handle of the door to the breakroom, she peered inside, taking a first glance at those young men and women who were her staff. They seemed eager, and she noticed that they had started to get to know one another. With a sigh, she straightened her shoulders, turned the handle and walked inside.

"Hello everyone!" she said brightly, trying to smile while her insides turned to jello. "If you would all care to take a seat at the couches, I think it is time we began our meeting. I apologise for the delay in starting."

Jessica sat back down on the couch, and watched the New Head make her way in.She couldn't wait for the meeting to begin.Lisa smiled brightly as Attica came in.She lloked nice and kind of nervous.

Abigail smiled at Jessica as she sat beside her with a smile at the new head of department.

"Okay," said Attica, tucking a strand of her long red hair back behind the kerchief she was wearing to restrain it. "Is everyone nice and comfy? Very good." Attica stopped to take a breath and looked over at the eager-eyed crew before her.

"So go ahead and introduce yourselves. If you could tell me your name, your age, and one thing you would like to accomplish as a Maintenance worker, that would be good to start I think. I will go first to make things easier. My name is Attica L'Agneau, but please, just call me Attica. You will make me feel old if you start calling me Miss or Ma'am. Just Attica is perfect. I'm 34 years old and I have been in the department for about half a year now. I trust you all have figured out by now that we have a very important job here at the Ministry. Most people look down on Maintenance staff as second class citizens, but I assure you that this is not the case. The Ministry couldn't run without us keeping everything in tip top order, and coming to the rescue when unexpected things happen. I don't know how many of you were here for the giant bug infestation we had a while back, but let me tell you, we had to use all of the skills and tools at our disposal to rid the Ministry of those pests. Even now, we have the Wizarding Conference going on, and it is up to us to make sure that the Ministry makes a favourable impression on our honoured guests. I would love to see the Maintenance department working as a team to really make a difference here in the Ministry. I would like us to branch out from simply cleaning and see if we can find a more creative and interesting role for us here at the Ministry."

Having finished her little spiel, Attica looked over to the person sitting on her left. "Go ahead when you're ready." she said.

Jessica blushed slightly when she realised that it was her turn to go first."Umm, hi everyone.I'm Jessica Thomas, and I'm 20."she said slowly, and then waited for the next person to have their turn.
