Angelina took a long slip of her hot coffee while she walked by the magic is might fount with a book on her hands.
She stopped in front of the fount while she looked at it. She really needed to focus a little bit more on her work, it seemed like she hadn’t been working at all.
At least to her.
After taking a deep breath she turned her eyes from the beautiful fount and slowly started making her way back to the level one.

Nathan was making his way out of the cafeteria lost in his thoughts about the nutter who had burst in and started yelling stuff about death eaters. He hoped the poor bloke would find his way to St Mungo’s without too many hitches along the way.
He wasn’t looking where he was going and bumped slap bang into the back of someone a carrying a book. The book went flying and he immediately bent down pick it up. It took him a good few seconds to realise who the young woman was he had bumped into. “Angelina.” He said as recognition hit him. “I’m so sorry, love. Are you alright?”

While she started to walk, Angelina was passing her eyes by her large book. It wasn’t behind as much interesting was she hopped too, but she surely was determinate to finish it.
It would take some time.
Maybe more than just some time.
The woman was slowly walking when she felt someone bumping into her back, and felt her book flying out of her hands and mentally said to herself that she should start holding things tighter while she let an “outch” escape.
She turned around and raised an eyebrow when she saw the person that had bumped into her picking up the book, she was sure she knew him from somewhere.
When the man started talking she raised the other eyebrow. Now she was sure that he knew her.. but she couldn’t remember who he was.
She looked at him again. “Oh.” The winged horse man. “I’m fine ..Nathan.”The woman prayed mentally that she got the name right, she usually never got names wrong but you never know when it could be the first time. “ I think we are even. I left my book falling on your table and now you bump into me.” She shrugged with a smile. “Its always a nice way to meet someone.”
No it wasn't.
But she wasnt really thinking about that.

Nathan smiled sheepishly at Angelina. It seemed that she didn’t recognise him. They had shared many drinks in the Raven’s Claw and had the most bizarre conversation he had ever had, and she didn’t remember him… he’d been the one on the alcohol, hadn’t he? He breathed a sigh of relief when she eventually said his name. He wasn’t that forgettable it seemed.
“Seems like as good a way as any.” He replied with a shrug of the shoulders. “How are you?” he asked. “Still working on the Minister's wedding plans?”

Angelina had seen better ways to meet someone.. but she wasn’t the perfect person to talk about that.
Dropping books on someone’s table because you are clumsy isn’t the best way to meet someone.
Or maybe it was.
“If you say so..” She said calmly with a nice voice while she turned her eyes slightly to her book that he was still holding, then looked back at Nathan. “.. I’m not going to be the one saying that you are wrong”
Weird mood. Very weird mood. That was what it was.
Or maybe it was the coffee.
His next question made her remember that she should be walking back to work. She was about to pass her eyes by her clock but she didn’t have one this time, so she just turned her brown eyes to Nathan and answered to his question with a smile. “Yes. I’m still working on that. And I think that I will continue to work on that for a long time.”
She was actually enjoying it.. but there were some people in her level that surely should take a break.
And she was the one that was workaholic.
“How about you, Nathan?” she asked before drinking some coffee.

Nathan sighed inwardly. He was a laid back sort of bloke but he could feel himself becoming anxious just talking to Angelina. She had a knack of making him feel very small and insignificant.
“Ah, your words imply that you do think I’m wrong.” He replied with small sheepish smile. He had just been trying to make light hearted conversation.
“Tough job, but someone’s got to do it.”
“Me? Oh I’m fine. Work is completely manic at the moment.” He answered. “Any problems in the ministry and people seem to come running to the MLES office.” He pulled a face. Even thought Angelina frustrated him, it was better being here chatting to her than returning to that chaotic office.
“How are the winged horses?” he asked with a cheeky smile and winked at her. Oh, the déjà vu of it.

Angelina was had stopped in front on the font while she was talking with Nathan, she turned her eyes at it just for a little while and then turned them back to Nathan when he spoke.
“I do not.” She told him while she raised both eyebrows with a smile. “I was actually saying that you were right.” At least she thought she was, but it seemed that Angelina was too confusing. “ I’m not going to say that there aren’t better ways to meet someone..” she said then added “But I’m surely not going to say that this is a bad way to meet someone.”
Ange almost laughed at his words. “It isn’t that tough.. I think. I think yours is pretty tougher than mine.” That was something a little hard to compare since their jobs were pretty different. “But I think that is hard to compare our jobs.. no?”
“It seems that people really like the MLES office.” She told him jokingly. That coffee wasn’t really making any good to her head. “I think that every single department of this ministry is maniac. Everyone is full of work. ” She told him with a shrug.
“Hum?” she blinked for a while she looked at him. Last time she had speak to Nathan, Ange had the slight impression that he was full of winged horses… but it seemed that she was wrong.
“They are fine.. I think. I haven’t seen them a lot.” She told him while she looked at him surprised by his question about the winged horses. “Do you remember when you told me about those muggle books? I actually tried to read one.”Tried.. yes.
Finished… no.

She was the only woman he’d met so far in the ministry who brought out this slightly wicked side in him. “I’m an officer of the law, I know these things.” He tapped the side of his nose as he teased her playfully. “I know everything.”
“Ok, bumping into someone isn’t the best way of meeting someone.” He admitted, “but I least I got your attention.” Even if she didn’t know who he was, despite all the drinks he’d bought her with his pitiful wage in the Raven’s Claw. "That had been my plan all along." Er.. sarcastic much?
“It’s because I work there.” Oh, she was giving him too much here. “People are just drawn to me.” He smirked. “Particularly the fairer sex.” Riiiiiight. “But seriously, I’d hate to have to plan something like a wedding. So much responsibility. And the Minister is hard to please, so I’ve heard.”
Why on earth did he bring up that damn subject of winged horses again. To make conversation? Brilliant. Had he not learned from last time? Obviously not. Could he not have asked her about her broken arms instead? That would have been a much more fun topic of conversation, right? WRONG! “I’m glad.” He answered. “Because you still owe me a few lessons.” D’oh! No way! He subconsciously backed away a couple of steps from Angelina. Why did she make him so nervous that his brain froze and his mouth did all the work instead?
“Oh really?” he raised his eyebrows, “Good for you, love. What did you read?” he asked with genuine interest.

She remembered that too.. and when her coffee slipped of her hands..... but that was something that wasn’t very good to be remembered.

“Well, yes.” He agreed. “It is a very comfortable office.” He said thinking about his large cosy desk in the dark corner and his extremely comfortable chair. “But the décor’s a bit lacking.” He thought for a moment. “Nah, I think it’s me they all come to get a glimpse of.” He chuckled lightly. And who could blame them?
“Well I couldn’t do it.” But then again, Angelina probably couldn’t do his job very well… she was far too scary. Floyd Flooing would have run a mile with Angelina on his case. “Have you met the Minister?” Nathan asked with interest. Rather her than him.
He nodded. “That makes… sense?” Probably. No winged horse riding for Nathan and no muggle London for Angelina. Seemed fair enough. “But I can always make time for you, love.” Not. Stupid mouth.
“Page ten is a very good start. Muggle books can be confusing beyond words. ...even to muggles” He agreed, “What was the book? Maybe I could help you understand it a bit better."

“No Nathan I haven’t.” she answered politely. Why did everyone had to ask her that question? “I work in the same level that he works.. but that doesn’t mean that I’ve meet him. Its quite hard if you want to walk into his office. His secretary really knows how to do her job.”
Angelina admired that woman. She seemed to be a very hard working person.

Angelina was looking at him funny. Yeah, he was teasing her, but there was no need to look at him that way. He shuddered inwardly – Angelina was a very intimidating woman. He noticed her take a step back and this made him smirk however. Keep this up and she would be in the lifts on the way back to level one in no time. “I wasn’t lying.” He said trying his best to look offended. “Seriously, love, your voice is like a choir of angels.” Yes. A choir of Angels screaming blue murder at each other! “Good. Because it was a compliment.” Wasn’t it? He couldn’t remember now.
He looked up at the headless wizard distractedly. “Have you noticed that?” he said pointing at the wizard. “The elves are rebelling.” Apparently. “I think it’s a vast improvement.” He nodded and looked back at Angelina.
Thank Merlin she did stay on level one. He would probably hide under his desk in terror if Angelina showed her face in the Law offices. He smiled at her words and leaned forward to look into her eyes, “Everything.” He repeated.
It would certainly be an interesting wedding if left up to Nathan to organise. He wouldn’t know where in Merlins undies to start, but at least there would be an open bar - and that would make for a great wedding.
“Don’t you work in the minister’s office then?” Nathan asked confused. He would have expected the minister to at least take the time to meet his own staff. Oh well… wrong again, Nate.
“Stephen Something King?” Nathan raised his eyebrows and thought for a moment. “Nah. Never heard of him. I’ve heard of Stephen King though. You should watch the film first and then read it. That should help. Just cover your eyes during the execution scenes.” He warned. Horrible horrible.

She didn’t know if he was going to take that question as if she was saying that he was boring or whatever that he might think.
Because she wasn’t.

She couldn’t imagine him doing that. It was a picture that just didn’t enter her head. Quote: “Don’t you work in the minister’s office then?” Nathan asked confused. He would have expected the minister to at least take the time to meet his own staff. Oh well… wrong again, Nate. “Yes, I work there.” She nodded “But I don’t work directly with him.. at least not yet. I’m like a mediary between the minister’s office and the Department of Magical Transportation.”

She had her arms crossed, was speaking in a sarcastic tone and called him ‘love’ in return – this had to be bad. He took a step back from her. Why hadn’t she run off back to her own department yet? Nathan was loosing his touch. He smirked rather sheepishly and scratched the back of his head uncomfortably as she asked him if he wanted to tell her something. “Nothing’s too much for you, my love.” His voice cracking slightly with nerves. This was bad. Very bad.
“The time?” Oh thank merlin! Nathan was boring her to death. He looked at his arm but wasn’t wearing a watch. He shrugged. “Dunno… sorry. Why? Should you be back at work?” One can hope
“Took some courage to do that.” He said looking back up at the wizard and then down in the water where his head still was. But it could have repercussions for the elves as Egypt had pointed out. Nathan should really be taking the whole thing a little more seriously.
Mister Perfect. So she did remember their first meeting. “Actually.” He said taking another step back. “I know everything except how to plan a wedding.”
So, lets get this straight. “You mediate between transport and his office. But you’ve never met him.” Yes. That’s what she just said. Good one Nate. “Do you know Dmitry Sychev? He works in the Floo network department.” he asked, trying to sidestep the conversation a little.
“Oh is it? I thought you were talking about two different writers. Silly me.” He said with a small smirk. “Cover your eyes because muggles films can be very realistic.” Nathan had been utterly shocked and sickened the first time he saw a muggle movie. All blood, guts and gore – and it all looked so damn real.

She wasn’t liking that conversation at all.
The young woman’s only movement was when she pulled a lock of her hair behind her hear and then stood still, with her arms crossed pressing her lips against each other thinking on something to say.
“There is always something that is too much ,love.”
Erm..Right.

She raised an eyebrow. SO muggles weren't only weird but they were also very scary.
"Thank you for the suggestion.. But I think I'm going to stick with the book."
Oh yes she was. "Not that I wouldn't like to see it but.. its hard for me to see a movie.. or even go to a place where I can see one."
Well, she wasn't lying...

She wasn’t moving. She still had her arms crossed and her lips pursed. Her body language indicated that she may, at any give moment, send a fist flying Nathan’s way. Better to be beaten up by a group of drunken muggles than a witch with a humongous chip on her shoulder. He wished he hadn’t gone along this route – his plan to scare her away had well and truly backfired. “N-not for you.” He said trying not to let his fear show… but he was sure she could smell it. Women like Angelina always could.
He looked at the headless wizard distractedly and blinked a couple of times when Angelina said she had half an hour… or more! She didn’t necessarily have to spend this time with Nate, did she? He looked back at her and gave her a weak smile, “That’s great. Because I have all the time in the world for you, sweet thing.” He replied with a wink. Yep. Great. Nate had already established that flirting wasn’t going to get rid of her, and yet here he was - still at it. Genius, he was. Not.
He slapped his hand to his forehead. “You know what? You’re right. I know everything except how to plan a wedding and what time it is right now.” This woman had no sense of humour whatsoever.
“Blaze Phoenix?” he asked brightly. “That has to be the single most brilliant name I’ve ever heard.” Sounded like a muggle superhero. “I wish I had a cool name like that.” He looked thoughtfully into the distance. “Maybe I’ll change mine.” He pondered. “to something more crime fightery.” Hah! Not. Egypt would murder him… besides, he liked it when she called him ‘Lord Greenwood.’
He raised an eyebrow and gave Angelina a sideways look. “You thought I was perfect?” he asked, ignoring the ‘shame’ bit, unable to repress a small smirk. “Why Angelina. You say the nicest things.”

Nathan had lost his mind. And it wasn’t just a small piece of it that he had lost.. it was the whole thing!
Perhaps she should run, not walk, run, back to level one.

She kept her lips pursed and her arms crossed. Why should she say something when she hadn't received an answer?
And that wasn’t good.. at all. At least for her.
Well, she could tell that he was, obviously, lying.. still she couldn’t think of anything to tell him.
“You know what, Nathan, I just remembered that I have something to do.” She told him keeping her nice smile as she took a step back.
She did not have anything to do in that moment, in fact, she was waiting for an answer so she could start working.
But, she could find something to do. She just didn’t know what.
Angelina raised an eyebrow with a confused smile. “Yes, its a..erm.. nice name.” Sounded like a normal name to her. Different, but normal. “But why would you want to change your name? You have a nice name.”
Right Ange. Now just wallkk away.
The young woman nodded for a little while but then stopped.
Wait..what?
She had to think about what she had said.
Well, she did say that.. but she was being sarcastic.. right?
Oh well, she couldn’t really remember but she probably was.
“Yeah, sometimes I have those sympathy attacks.” She said while she asked herself what that really meant.

Nathan was getting scared… or, indeed, more scared by the expression on Angelina’s face. She did not look happy. He raised his eyebrows when she said she remembered she had to do something. He was tempted to just let her go, but then again, it would eat away at his conscience all day that he had let her leave in such a way, thinking goodness knows what about Nathan. “Ah, look Angelina. I’m only teasing.” He told her as she took a step back. “Here, let me get you another coffee in the cafeteria to make up for it.” He couldn’t let her leave like that.
“Why thank you.” He replied and gave her a smile. “I just think as an officer of the law, I could have something a bit more…. brave sounding?” He chuckled. “You have a very nice name too. ...Angelina the Angel.” Cheesy much? Oh yes.
“Sympathy attacks.” He thought for a moment, the smile sliding off his face as it dawned on him what she meant. “Yeah.” He replied. “A lot of people seem to have those when they’re around me.” Funny that - not.

So her thoughts were right… well.. her first thoughts.
He really was a lousy liar.
“Yes. You could be teasing all day but my work will still be on my desk when I get to my department.” Not a good answer. At all. But she couldn’t find another one.
Coffee? Hot delicious coffee?
Yummy, that was music to her ears.
But wait a minute.. make up? For what? Was he teasing, or whatever that he was doing, something that when you finish doing it you have to make that person up?
As far as Angelina Gilmore was concerned no. It wasn’t.
“I think I don’t need another coffee.” Whaaat!? “But I would love to have my book back. You know... My book that you picked up off the floor but that is still in your hands..”
Close it Ange! Just close your mouth!
Angelina closed her mouth and pressed her lips against each other to avoid saying something even more stupidly impolite.
What was she thinking!?
The woman raised an eyebrow and laughed for a little while. “Brave sounding?” she repeated “Brave sounding ? But that is just.. crazy.” She told him with a smile on her face. “I mean it. As I said before, you have a nice name. I honestly don’t think that is something more brave sounding.” Okay.. that wasn’t coming out the way she wanted too. “What I’m trying to say is that you actually have a brave sounding name.”
She pulled a lock of her brown hair behind her hear.

She pressed her lips even more against each other.
First her voice was like a choir of angels.. and now she was Angelina the Angel.
That was a new one. A brand new one.
"Well.. Thank you Nathan."
Her mind was totally black.

So that was all she said.

He did know what she meant right?
At least what she meant now.. It was a mixture of sarcasm and teasing.
She honestly didn’t know what she meant very well.
But she would get there.
“You know.. those when you just start being nice, and saying nice things without knowing why.”
She preferred to be in the conference room with me minister and her superiors than being there.. opening her mouth and saying those things.

He raised an eyebrow. He wasn’t quite sure what she meant by that. “Me and my teasing really don’t want to keep you from your work, Angelina.” He replied. He wasn’t going to stop her leaving if she really wanted to get back to her office…. And by the sounds of it, she did.
“Fine.” He said slightly coldly. He had tried to make amends for his silly teasing, but to no avail. He handed her the book back and took a step back himself. It was about time he got back to his own office. Least the people there seemed to like him. “Be careful you don’t trip and drop that book on some poor unsuspecting person.” Or victim he should have said. He was through being friendly to this woman. Nathan had enough going on his life to even try and bother to be pleasant to her any longer.
But then again, she was so unpredictable! He felt so confused when he was around Angelina, like she’d confunded him or something… Her next words were friendly. Almost humorous! He grinned, unable to keep up the coldness. He put his hands on his hips and suck his nose in the air. “Nathan Greenwood. Crime fighter extraordinaire.” He said in a posh English accent. “Hm… It doesn’t sound as good as Blaze Phoenix.” He replied and chuckled lightly.
“My pleasure. You don’t mind if I call you Angel from now on, do you?” he smirked. “Angelina is quite a mouthful.” When you’re lazy with your speech that is.
”Oh.” He replied again. “I thought you meant something else.” That she took pity on Nathan and was just humouring him. “Why thank you, Angel.” He smiled and winked. He couldn’t stay annoyed for long, could Nathan.
