Egypt walked through the atrium. The fountain was imposing and it dwarfed all who milled around it. She walked over to it and stood up and stared at it. The mighty wizard looked as if he had just walked in from a huge battle with a muggle foe or something. Her mother would love this fountain. She had drilled the magic is might philosophy into their heads that she could recite the creed in her head in her sleep.

The fountain sickened her, and it made her sad at the same time. All those years she had wasted living in that city cut off from the rest of the world. She watched witches and wizards from all walks of life, muggleborns and half halfs, coming and going to work.

"There is, and we do... other things..." Chiara seems a little offended...

Chiara blushed, "No one yet, though I have someone in mind..." she smiled at him.

"I am sorry, I really must cut this short," she began walking towards the floo, "Thank you Alison for speaking with me, and Theo, pleasure... not quite as always, but a pleasure none the less..." She waved and departed.

Alison stuffed away a smirk and replied, "Not yet, Theodore... Not quite..." She mumbled, thinking of something. She should tell him... Fraternal triplets, she thought, was going to add 3 more... So there would be 10 kids to look after. She groaned inwardsly, wishing that there would be less kids. She loved them all, but it was just so much.

"You having just the one?" Theo asked, "Alina had twins. Love them to pieces, both of them. Little bundles of joy." Junior was adorable and Nia could be a handful.

Alison shook her head. "They're saying it should be more than one." She said, not willing to give up the number to someone before she told Chris. He would be... Umm, actually, she didn't know what he'd be like. Oh well. She stifled a sigh and smiled. Twins, huh... Twins were nice. But she had little triplets... Which would add up to 10 kids, she reminded herself, this time sighing. Well, 3 were grads, 1 was troubled, one had been silent before, and the other acted like a girl. She suppressed rolling her eyes, to make sure she was being polite.

"More than one?" Theo frowned, "That must be tough. I wish you good luck with that." More than one child? Must be hard on her.

"Thank you." Alison said graciously. Nice man, he was. She wondered where Chris was - Hopefully, he was... Around. Meaning, he was not in trouble. She giggled quietly. There wasn't much to talk about now - But she wanted to sit a bit longer here, and if she got up she'd have to go to the liason's office and complete about 20 different papers. She sighed.

"You are welcome. I learnt from my mother to treat ladies nicely, no matter how they treat you. Would you like walking back to your department?" Theo asked, smiling nicely, "If not, I shall sit with you until you require movement. If you do not mind of course."

Alison smiled, a slight bitter tone in her voice now. "Actually, I'm trying to avoid some people..." She said, thinking about Mr. Wordsmith. Strange, she didn't care what the other interns might think, but with Mr. Wordsmith? Every little detail seemed to matter. No matter what.

She suppressed a sigh. Sometimes, she thought, I think this entire thing was just another screw-up. She didn't suppress it this time - a heavy sigh, that explained so much more than her actual reasoning did. She shook her head. "Actually, you know what? I think I can get up." She said, getting up. "I need to see my husband, anyways." She added, hoping that would help.

"Avoiding people? Why do you think I came down here. I wanted to get out of my office. So I know how you feel," Theo laughed.

"Do you mind if I walk you to your husband?" he asked, "The longer I stay out of the office, the better really."

Alison smiled. Obviously, everybody was human - Right? She got up and dusted herself off, smiling. "Of course, of course." She murmured, getting up.

"It's 4th level." She said, smiling. Mr. Newtington made for pleasant conversation.

"Fourth level? I can take you there," Theo smiled. This lady was lovely. Maybe while he was on that floor he would go and talk to AJ. Or the Spirit guy. He sounded quite interesting. "That is the Creature department isn't it? I get kind of lost remembering such details. I have been working here 5 years and I still forget."

Egypt clicked through the atrium and found herself once again in front of that fountain. She was wearing yellow calf boots and blue robes, her sister was out doing herself withe the wizard fashions, and she was loving it.

She looked at the fountain, it reminded her of all the things wrong with her homeland. She was so mad at that sort of thinking. If she had bought into all that garbage, she would never had met Nathan, never known true love. She wanted to blast the thing apart and burn the rubble.

She pulled put her purse and a few galleons and tossed them into the fountain. "For a better future." she whispered.

Elizabeth's eyes at once caught sight of the large fountain domineering over the Atrium. She had often heard of it [her father thought it was fantastic and represented the way things should be] but had never before seen it. Her impression before entering the Ministry was that she would most definetly dislike it, and after she saw it her thoughts were confirmed. Her family sprung to mind when she looked at it, and that was something she didn't like. After staring at it for some time, Aura moved on towards the lifts and her first time in the Department Of Magical Law Enforcement.

He hated that fountain with a passion that could only be matched by a hundred burning suns. Sparky wanted nothing more then to see the ministry and the fountain burn. But setting things on fire would bring to much attention and he certainly didn't want that.

With a moment of utter concentration and with a quick snap of he's fingers. The wizard's head was chopped off in one neat slice. He laugh with happiness as he watch the head fall into the water below. He wasn't a killer, he was more of a vigilante at the most. On the walls of the fountain once again he marked them with he's words of anger.

Sparky grinned happily as he looked over at he's beautiful handy work. With a snap of he's bony fingers, he was off to level four.

As Edward passed the fountain on the way back to his office, he noticed the defacing of the fountain.

He sent a memo to the security desk and to Delilah to let her know.

Egypt had been avoiding the fountain since she had gotten a job at the Ministry. Her mouth fell open when she saw what had befallen the dreaded fountain. "What is Merlin's Beard?" She asked gawking at it. She wondered if anyone else had seen it? She headed off to level two to let someone know, even if she agreed with the message it was still a criminal act.

Nathan followed Egypt into the atrium. His eyes slowly moved up the fountain and stopped at the wizard’s head… or the space where the wizard’s head was supposed to be. That smirk crept up his face again. This had made his day – he would very much like to shake the culprit by the hand for their handiwork – be it elf or wizard. He quickly forced his face straight again as he looked down into the water below to see the massive missing head. The walls of the fountain read ‘THE ELF REBELLION HAS BEGUN’ - He didn’t have a clue where to start looking for the person responsible, but really he had just wanted to take a look... and it was a good excuse to get out the office... with Egypt. He looked at Egypt, “Yep. I think it was an elf.” He said resisting the urge to grin stupidly at her.

She saw the creeping smirk on Nathan, she wanted to smile too. She wholly agreed with the utter destruction of the fountain, but there was a way to do things, and this was not one of those ways.

"Do you realize what will happen to the magical creatures if a elf is found responsible for this?" She asked looking around wondering why the Security personnel was nowhere to be found. "They've got it bad enough and this is just going to give wizards ammunition against them. I mean there are no laws stopping your office from using an unforgivable curse on a magical creature." She told him.

Nathan wiped the stupid expression off his face as Egypt started to speak. It was a good job she was around sometimes – she was always so realistic about things and had a habit of bringing Nathan crashing back down to earth. “It’s 2064. Magical creatures have more rights in this day and age. ...in this country.” He replied. “But, you’re right. This has to be kept within the walls of the ministry if possible.” He shook his head at her next words. He put his arm around her and hugged her closer to him. “No one in my department is capable of doing such a thing.” He said tyring to reasure her.

"They only have the rights we have allowed them to have. Do you see an elf in the Wizengamot? Do we have centaurs in the Minister's office?" She asked him looking around. "I can just imagine the headlines if someone from the Daily Prophet got a hold of this?"

"I hope no one in your office could ever do something like that. I don't think I could work here if the Ministry came down like that." She said. She was not going to let her mother and people who thought like her win anymore.

He frowned and shook his head at her words. “I know, love. It’s terrible, but there’s nothing I can do to stop this from leaking to the press. Do you know how many witches and wizards pass here everyday?” The news was bound to get out… and wasn’t there a journalist actually based in the Ministry? – he thought it best not to mention this to Egypt who was already sick with worry. He kissed the top of her head… he was so proud of her. She was quite a woman to have risen above her terrible upbringing.

“Of course they wouldn’t!” he replied slightly taken aback that she would even suggest such a thing. “Not in the MLES.” He knew them all pretty well now. They were a compassionate, understanding group of people, although he wasn’t sure about the Aurors… and he had only met one of the hit wizards. “Anyone who tried something like that would be brought before the wizengamot themselves.” He hated to see Egypt so distressed. He leaned forward and whispered in her ear, “You know... I could always magically stick his head back on. ...But I think I’d be in big trouble destroying evidence.” He took her hand, “C’mon. We better get back to Level 2.”

"I know Nathan, I'm sorry." She didn't want to unload on him, but she knew this was going to be used as fuel to further the anti-magical creatures campaign that had snuck up in the past few years. This whole thing was bringing back horrible memories and she couldn't live through that again.

"I know they wouldn't. I didn't mean to imply anything about anyone in your office, I'm sorry." She didn't want to turn a molehill into a mountain. "Yes, let's go." She said letting Nathan steer her away.

He turned to look at her. “Don’t apologise. There’s no need to apologise.” He didn’t mind her offloading onto him. He hoped that she would when she was distressed, but he knew he couldn’t say or do anything to make her feel better in this particular situation. “If it was an elf, he must have known what he was doing. Elves aren’t stupid – he must have realised that this may cause a backlash… maybe this will be good for the elves – they can have their own 'mini' revolution and free themselves from oppression… like the French… or Scottish.” He was waffling but he didn’t know how to make Egypt feel better. He hated to feel powerless to help her. If he could, he would take away all her negative emotions and carry them on his own shoulders.

“Stop apologising, please love.” He said again as she apologised yet again. It was time he should get back to work and speak to Nicoli about this. "Do you want to speak to my head of department about this or shall I?" he asked her - she may feel happier talking to someone more senior than Nate and he wouldn't blame her. He took her by the hand and led her towards the lifts.

She had to pull herself together, this was just bringing back bad memories of the genocide in the Republic of Congo of the Kapuchin Monkies. Ghana was a big supporter of that mass roundup and subsistent murder of over a million warrior monkies. Egypt couldn't live through that again.

"Ok, I'm fine." She told giving him a smile, he was being so sweet about her overreacting to this situation that may not even be anything at all. "No, No, you can speak to him. I just thought someone in your office should know, and you were the only one I knew in there." She gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Let's get back to work." She gave him a smile that didn't reach up where it normally would if she were really smiling.
