"Hello" said Dan to the one who had arrived "This dress will not let go " He had made a yellow light come out of his wand and go to the dress now he was trying to get the dress off and pulled away.

"I think you should keep your nose out of my business, Missy. I can stay I can stay in here for as long as I like." She Huffed.

Sheree's mind slipped into a happy place, everything was right again and she stayed in a sleepy state.

Oh! it all made sense to Miranda now. "Yes my dear. That's all i wanted to hear. An explanation. I wasn't asking much." She said opening up the dressing room. "I appreciate your honesty, dear. It's not easy to make mistakes and have to admit them.

The dress was under attack! He was starting to slow down and struggle. He wouldn't let them win so easily. Must, keep, fighting!

It wasn't working, he could feel that he was getting beaten.

Jack breathed a sigh of relief as he saw the dress begin to slow down. Deep inside he feared throwing himself between the dress and the muggles would lead to an embarrassing attack - but it was working! The dress was almost tiring! However, he couldn't do it himself. He needed one more wand to join him.

"Over here!!" he yelled out, hoping someone from his team would respond. "I have it tiring. One more wand should do the trick! Quick slow it down with "Impedimenta and then knock it off with "finite!" and I think we have this dress under control!" Jake cried.

As he held his wand steady waiting for back up, he continued to move himself around the dress, keeping his body between the muggles and himself. "Don't worry," he reassured the muggles "It's just a silly prank gone wrong. You know kids now adays. It will be over before you know it." He told them - as he laughed to himself knowing how true that statement really was - the muggles would not remember a thing about this once the obliviators were through with them.

"Thank you this isn`t working I`ll try that" Dan said he shouted"Impedimenta,finite" then he reterned to pulling at the dresss again

That's it! The dress was gone. He still continued to try and fight..but it really was no use. He could hardly move. He lowered to the ground, still fighting a little, he couldn't attack any more. The dress used it's last bit of energy and landed on the man starting the attacks.

"Finnaly Accio dress" said Dan and the fress came into hius arms he then muttered something that magnified his voice "The dress is now harmless please all people report here to be cheaked by our freinds" said Dan so that the obliviators could do there job "What now Jack?"

A small pop in the corner signalled Madeline's arrival on the scene. Normally, if she had a need to run to the scene of a catstrophe she was usually there to help, but she had something totally different in mind this time. "Ivan!" she called, looking around for the Obliviator. She spotted someone else nearby, and realized it was Dan. "Hello Dan!" she said cheerfully. "Do you happen to know where Ivan is?"

She looked at the dress in his arms and blinked. "My goodness, what has happened here?"

"Well we just got rid of the dress no I don`t know where he is but I called the muggles out" said Dan.

Madeline blinked. "I'm going to be completely honest with you Dan...something terrible just happened up in the Committee on Experimental Charms and I'm afraid my memory has gone completely haywire. I honestly have no idea what you are talking about," she said sadly. "But it sounds like a good thing! Keep up the good work!"

"Now, where is Ivan?" she muttered. "I must go find him, excuse me," she added, walking down the hall and craning her head looking him. It was quite obvious that the Department Head was not in her right mind.

Ivan patted Katya on the shoulder again. "Good work. Now you just patch her up with a plausible memory...say, there's Maddy." Ivan stood, stepped over the prone muggle and meandered up to his boss.

"Looks like things are getting under control. Ivan gestured behind him and then shoved both hands deep into his pockets, grinning proudly.

Jake breathed a huge sigh of relief as the dress finally collapsed on him. "Not exactly my color or style is it?" He laughed as he held the dress up on himself. "I should hang on to this as a keepsake. This was one unique mission." Jake said still laughing.

"Madeline! Great to see you. You missed a good task here. Too bad you didn't join us sooner, you could have had a great dance with this dress here. Luckily everything's now under control. We just have to take care of these muggles and we'll head on out of here." Jake smiled. "What brings you out here anyway? Everything ok?"

"Thank goodness that's done and over with. Let's take a look around and make sure all the muggles are accounted for and help the obliviators round them up. Then we need to take care of this mess here. It's amazing the mess a simple dress can create. And to think a child started all this. Her parents will have quite the story to share with her when she gets older."

"Oh yes I wish I did something like that as a child it must have been so fun" said Dan "Maddelline isn`t ok she`s forgetten something I think but I don`t think it`s too bad"

"Ivan!" Madeline cried in delight as she noticed the Obliviatior had come over to her, "Oh my goodness, I'm so glad I found you!"

With that, she flung herself into his arms and smiled widely, a smile that made her look crazied. Something was obviously not right with the woman. "Something terrible happened at the Ministry, I need you to come back and help some people...their memories are all mixed up! I knew that you could do it, you're so talented! And you're the head of your Division, of course!"

She began to tug on his arm, "Come on, let's go! We must not waste any time!"

"No, I'm afraid it's not ok," she said sadly to Jake, "And why does everyone keep talking about a dress? Oh well, you said you got it under control, so...keep up the good work!"

"Oh, but it is bad, Dan! Bad, bad, very bad! The Committee of Experimental Charms is in shambles, and I'm afraid there is going to be some extensive water damage. Ivan, I'll explain everything when we get there, let's go!" she said, tugging on his arm once more.

Bertina hurried around the corner and spotted her Division Head, Jake. "Hi Jake, nothing out of the ordinary seems to be happening in other parts of the mall...everyone else seems to be going about their daily shopping as if nothing has happened." she informed her boss.

"Oh, hello Miss Grau, is something wrong?" she asked, noticing that the Head was there.

Ivan's surprise at having his boss throw herself at him was only surpassed by his surprise that she was complimenting him. Usually she gave him a pleasant smile, followed by a thoroughly deserved dressing-down for his shoddily constructed paperwork (literally - he tended to have to piece the bits back together with glue after they'd been inadvertantly blown up, transfigured, eaten by a kneazle and so forth).

"Uh...nice to..uh..okay." She was already dragging him along, and babbling (Babbling!) at people they passed. Yes, indeedy, something was very, very wrong!

"What did you say happened again?"

"Oh, hello Bertina!" she said happily, waving at her employee, "Yes, something is wrong, but dear Ivan here is coming to fix it, so don't worry!" she explained as they passed.

"Well, it started with this Corranda Melvicks woman," Madeline began, still dragging the poor man as she continued her story. She turned around so she was facing him and began walking backwards. "She said that she had a spell to present to the Committee on Experimental Charms, and I'm not sure what happened in there but I went to check up on them, and they were all celebrating the fact that her spell had been passed. So we were all toasting drinks and suddenly everyone started getting sick, and then something got dumped on my head!" she exclaimed.

She took a deep breath and then continued her story. "Anyways, I'm not sure what happened then, I think I passed out, but then Corranda was making it snow in the office, and I'm not sure what happened then but someone pulled me out of the office and I was in the hall with everyone else. Someone ended up getting Corranda bound to a chair and I think the Aurors are there, I'm not sure, and someone is going to get Healers. And everyone's memory seems to be going berserk, like with me. I didn't know where the Healers where! Isn't that silly?" she giggled and accidentally walked backwards into a nearby wall. "I'm not sure what is going on back there...actually, it seems like I'm not sure about a lot of stuff!"

And with that the woman collapsed into a fit of giggles again, but she still continued to drag Ivan out of the shopping mall.

"I don't know what I'd do if my child pulled something like this. At least I could probably keep the incident quite and just have the team secretly set things right. The poor parents of this kid must be mortified. I haven't seen them yet... in fact we should make sure the wand is back with Mom, or we may be finding ourselves in for a really long day here."

Jake paused he heard Dan tell him about Madeline. "Wait...wait slow down...what happened?" He began to ask, as Madeline interrupted the conversation.

"Never mind the dress...what do you mean everything isn't alright? What happened? How can I help? Just say the word and I'll give final instructions for my team and accompany you back to the Ministry. We're just wrapping things up here anyway now that the attacking dress has been tamed." Jake grinned, shaking his head at the crazy situation around him.

"I don`t know something about memory loss and Committee on Experimental Charms and something about a woman called Corranda Melvicks" said Dan you go on ahead I`ll start repairing the site and the obliviators will do there job then I`ll join you' said Dan and with that he started fixing things very quickly

As they passed the man (Ivan couldn't remember his name), Ivan twirled his finger around by his temple - the universal 'gone cuckoo' sign - and then pointed at Madeline. Obviously she'd been hit hard with a spell of some sort, and Ivan could only imagine how everyone else might be doing. This could be fun... Ivan mentally rubbed his hands together in delighted anticipation.

"So do you have any idea which spell she used? Potion-based? Incantation?" But perhaps he ought to start with the basics. "Do you know your name? How old you are?" He was just curious about that last bit.

Madeline giggled, "Silly Ivan, of course I know my name and age! I'm Madeline Christina Grau, Department Head, and I am 28 years old," she answered with confidence. "I can't remember much that has happened today, though." she added sadly, "So I'm afraid I have no idea what kind of spell she used...I'm pretty sure it was a potion though, I do remember something wet being dumped on my head, and as far as I know, I'm the only one with any memory problems at the moment."

"Jake, just finish up whatever you need to do here and then you can come back," she told him, because she still had no idea what was going on in the shopping mall, "Come along, Ivan, we need to apparate back to the Ministry ASAP!"

"Memory loss? While she was at the Ministry? But how?" Jake thought aloud. "What is going on back there? I guess we need to wrap things up a bit more quickly then I thought and head back to the Ministry. By the sounds of it, it looks like we're needed there just as badly as we're needed here."

Jake watched the Obiliviator give him the cuckoo sign as he pointed at Madeline. Jake bit his lip and tried not to laugh. In reality it wasn't a funny situation, but watching Madeline stand there so cluelessly was something he just wasn't used to. "Go ahead," Jake said to the obliviator. "I'll secure the scene here. You're needed more back at the Ministry then here. I'll check in on things as soon as I return."

"Alright Madeline, but I'm checking in with you as soon as I get back. I want to hear the full story of what happened...well as much as you can remember anyway. Seeing as you haven't lost your full memory, I think you'll be just fine. Besides you're in very good hands here. Be careful heading back." Jake cautioned, not knowing what was happening back at the Ministry. "I'll see you soon." Jake said as he turned and grabbed Dan's shoulder to head him back to find all the muggles and make sure they were alright, too.

"28? Hmmm...I couldn't sworn you looked..." No, better not say. "So..uh, potion...you know, I don't really--" But she was urging him to apparate them. So, Ivan took his memory-impaired boss and apparated them both (no point in taking the chance she apparate herself into a wall).

Madeline smiled at Jack as he walked away. He seemed to have...whatever was happening here under control. "Alright, let's go back to the Ministry!" she said happily to Ivan as he grabbed her arm and they Apparated back to the office.

ooc: To the Committee on Experimental Charms office back on Level 3

Seeing everything was ok with his team, Jake went back to take care of the muggles he had just thrown himself in front of. One of them looked fairly dazed and appeared to have what looked like a trumpet on his head. "Oh this will be fun," Jack thought to himself as he went over to the guy and genty tried to lift it off his head but it was stuck. "Well this creates a dilemma." Jack found himself grunting aloud.

He put his hand on the muggle's shoulder. Everything's going to be ok. There was an errmmm... earthquake and things got pretty badly shaken around the shop. It looks as though you were standing among the musical instruments as they came crashing down. Rotten luck eh? No worries though, I'm a police officer and I'm here to help you. If you'll just relax, I'll have this off you in no time." Jake told the muggle as he took out his wand and wracked his brain for a solution.

Realizing there was still another muggle a few feet away from him that had tried to step in and help his muggle companion. Jake gasped. He had forgotten the guy was there. Calling out to one of his teammates, Jake tried to talk in code. "Hey can another officer..." Jake hoped they'd realize by officer he meant ministry worker "come over here and help this mug...err.. customer. He appears to be rather shaken up. It seems some clothing racks came down on him during this earthquake" Jake winked "and he being in shock thought the clothes were attacking him, so of course is a bit confused and needs some tending to."

Noticing that Jake had gotten rid of the dress and basically taken care of everything (except a trumpet on a some poor muggle man's head) Kallisto turned back to the lady and smiled at her. "Thank you so much so coming out. Now can you please come with me? I have to talk to my boss for a quickly second then find the best way to get you out of here." She said grabbing the old lady's arm and pulling her with her as she walked up to Jake.

"I got her convinced that this was all some sort of muggle movie thing. I'm not to good at modifying people's memories so I need some help on that." Kallisto muttered from the conner of her mouth, making sure that the lady would not hear her. "Oh and Evanesco; the vanishing spell would work will with that." She added quietly pointing to the man with the trumpet on his head.
