Sebastian entered the empty lift but it didn't bother him. He was rather pleased to be alone because of the load of work he had to do on his first day.

"Welcome Sebastian Innes , Patents Division, which floor?" a voice came from nowhere.

"The Atrium" he said very pleased that he was returning home.

After a few moments the lift came to a halt and he exited it.

"The Atrium." Came the voice again.

Theo stepped wearily into the lift. He pressed the Level Six button with very little effort. His head hung against his chest as he waited, deep in thought. He hoped noone would interrupt his little session.

Lorraine swayed a bit side-to-side with little effort as the lift took her up to Level Seven. Truthfully she wasn't sure why she was going, except she had wanted to apologize to Theo and his wife about the wedding. Even though he should be the one apologizing, but men...

Closing her eyes, she leaned against the back wall, until the lift stopped. Upon opening them, she nearly gasped as Theo entered. "Theo," she said politely, nodding. "I was just coming to see you."

Theo looked up, his face rather solemn. "Lorraine. I was just going up to see you. How...odd," he said, his voice quieter than usual. He didn't really have to put on an effort, since he wasn't working with anyone, he was just in a lift.

"Now why might you be coming to find me? I am not worthy of such company surely," he smiled, a rather vacant smile.

Was it just her or did he look more serious than usual? Where was his usual humor? "Very odd," she replied, noting his quiet tone. The level seven dept head seemed peculiar - more so than usual, at least.

"Of course you are," she offered a faint smile in return, really confused by his expressions now. "I'll tell you, but first tell me what in merlin's beard has eaten you? You look like you've been hit by the knight bus!"

"Eaten? Knight Bus?" Theo frowned. "I would rather have been run over by the Knight Bus." He thrust his hands into his pocket. "I think Alina hates me, and is going after a younger model."

Lorraine listened to Theo talk, even though he said only a few words. It was enough make her feel some pity on him. Then he did something that annoyed her most; thrusting hands into his pockets. That was thing she knew was a sign that a man was truly annoyed, and thus to steer clear of him.

"Well you look like you have been," she commented casually, maintaining her hazel eyes fixed upon his face. It was always better to keep eye contact when trying to comfort someone. "Oh no Theo! How could she hate you? I highly doubt that. Do you want to talk about it?"

Another tip: always leave it up to the man if he wants to talk about it. She knew better than to pry too much, but leading was more than acceptable.

"Oh thanks," Theo sighed. "You haven't seen her with that Security guy. I don't know his name, but I will find out."

He tried to thrust his hands deeper into his pockets but it wasn't possible, so he began shredding the paper handkerchief that was in his right pocket. He hadn't used his cloth ones in a while, since he hadn't done any washing.

"I don't know how to stop her hating me."

"Anytime," Lorraine teased, but quickly bit her lower lip to stop herself from any laughing. "No I haven't seen that. Nor do I know what security guy you're talking about. Why don't we head down there and you could point him out?" she suggested.

She watched him shove his hands deep into his pockets. If there was one thing she was sure of, he was upset. Theo wasn't the type to act like this over little things.

"Why does she hate you?" she asked cautiously. "I mean what prompted it? Between her and the security guard." She bit her lip nervously, having this weird feeling she already knew. However, she wanted to hear it from him ... to know if she was right in her thinking.

"I don't recognise him. Well I did only see the back of his head. But that isn't the point. I think I have seen them together before. I can't remember," Theo shrugged, "Sure. I would love to go read through their filing cabinet."

Theo continued to shred the handkerchief. It wasn't quite small enough yet.

"You know why," he sighed, "Because of what she saw at the wedding." He didn't want to say anymore. He couldn't.

Lorraine listened as he told her that he wouldn't recognize him. She smirked when he saw the back of his head; like that was really going to help. Then he suggested something that caused Lorraine to shake her head. "No. We can't go read through their file cabinet, because one, you don't know who it is, and two, it is impractical and against all privacy regulations."

It took her some time to realize this, but finally she realized that she would be needing to treat him like a small child. Except she hated small children; her niece and nephew were quite enough.

"Look Theo," she said more calmly than she had been. "That's what I came up here to talk to you about. I was hoping to talk with her as well, but you first. Shall we head into your office or perhaps down to the cafeteria? I recommend the latter of the two." Truthfully, the thought of being in a private location with Theo terrified her; she didn't know when his temptation would overtake him again.

Sebastian entered the lifts really tired from his work,his head aching so much as if it was about to blow.

"Atleast i have a happy thought of going home."He said to himself.

The door openned and he entered. There were two people in there besides him but he didn't recognise them so he kept quiet.

"Welcome Sebastian Innes, Patents Division,Which floor?" Came the voice again.
"The Atrium."

He really was not in a mood to talk ,he just wanted to get home and take some rest.He didn't have the slightest idea that he would have to do so mich work on his first day.
"Maybe I'll get used to it."He thought.

The lift stopped,"The Atrium."

And he stepped out of it.

Theo saw one of his employees enter the lift. He held his hands tightly behind his back, the handkerchief was nicely shredded. He would have fun pulling it out of his pocket later.

He waited for the employee to leave. "Cafeteria might be good. Alina is up in my office area. And I don't really want to see her right now." He followed his little employee out.

"Can I get you a cup of tea or something?"

Sebastian entered the lift.He couldn't believe he was in his office for 10 hours.Time flied today.

Theo waited for the door to ping on him, so he could leave the lift.

He continued to rock, jumping at the ping. He had been waiting for it, but obviously hadn't been expecting it so soon. He exited the lift and stormed off towards his office.

This was going to get boring as they went further through the ministry, that much Apha could tell. The MLES officer sighed. Though she'd never visited this floor, she knew it would be a lot harder to check than level eight. For one thing; divisions.

She rolled her eyes. 'How do you want to do zis?' she asked Nathan, running through the floor plan in her mind. Maybe if they each took a couple of sections they could get it done quickly so the Ministers could have their tour?

Forgetting himself for a moment, Nathan scratched his arm distractedly (Nicoli may have charmed these robes but they were still darn uncomfortable), gazing off down the corridor. Lots of doors... Just great. This was going to take longer than Level Eight.

“Erm...” he started. “...why don't we split up. ...How about you take..” he glanced at the directory on the wall. “...the manager's office, Ludicrous Patents and the Quidditch offices; and I'll take the other three rooms?” he suggested, stopping his scratching to look back at her.

Throwing a glance at Nathan, Apha couldn't help but notice his obvious discomfort in the robes they had been given. Deciding to be nice and not comment, she merely nodded at his suggestion.

'Sounds like a good idea. Shall we meet back here in about five to send zat note?' she offered, hand finding her wand again. Without giving Nathan a chance to answer so she could hear him - if anything, Apha was determined to do this job right - she stepped out of the lifts and onto the level. Taking a deep breath, she made her way towards the Quidditch offices.

Nathan nodded. “Alright love. I'll see you in five then.” But she was gone before he finished speaking. He shrugged his shoulders and made his way down the corridor to the break room.

Not pleasant was Apha's experience as she made her way back to the lifts, waiting for Nathan to show up, finished. She'd probably looked like a right fool, glancing around the divisions without seeming to move - these robes were rather good at hiding the small flicks of her wand in her pocket.

Well, at least the three areas she'd taken were clear. She hoped Nathan's were too as she leant against the back of the lift, waiting.

Nathan walked towards Apha at the other end of the corridor. “Well that was fun.” he said sarcastically and pulled a face. “...But at least we didn't end up working with the Aurors again.” he added with a small smirk. “That would have been even more fun.” ... not.

“All clear for me. I take it yours were too?” He asked looking at her. God, she looked more bored than him. “You want to sent that memo this time?” he asked her.

She laughed softly. 'All clear,' she confirmed. Though she wasn't too pleased it had been busy with employees - that was the bit she hadn't liked at all.

Though it would've been even worse if they ended up with the Aurors. For that, she was grateful this was what they'd been given.

She nodded, reaching into one of the pockets of the robes. She'd managed to sneak in some parchment and a self-inking quill when no one was looking from one of the offices. It wasn't exactly stealing, if it was to help the Ministry with the Ministers.

With a cheeky wink at Nathan - surely he'd work it out quickly - she quickly scribbled a memo on the paper and tapped it once with her wand.

He smirked when she winked at him. Yep. He still had it. He winked back before realising what she was getting at. “Oh!” he said in understanding. Stealing stuff. “It's for a good cause.” he shrugged. It wasn't as if Nate hadn't stolen the odd paperclip or notepad... or er laptop

He watched as she scribbled out the memo. “Wonder where Nicoli will send us next.” he thought aloud. He smirked at her. “Fancy a drink in the caff while we wait to hear from him?” Anything to escape this current tedium.

She smirked, pleased that Nathan didn't think too bad of her for "borrowing" the items from an office, as she slipped them back into a pocket ready for the next time they'd finished a level. Whichever one that was.

Apha shrugged, reaching over to press a button in the lifts to take them to the cafeteria. A break sounded good right now. 'A break is probably a good idea,' she agreed.
