Katherine listened quietly to the talk about what had happened at Hogwarts. Shrugging, she said, "I didn't really know anyone who was there this last term. But I can say that nothing like that had happened while I was there. I would hope there was some sort of investigation going on." She couldn't imagine what it was like for those poor students.

I hope this next year, is much quieter, that's for sure...

Jack listened to Katherine and Liz, "There probably won't be any sort of problem next year, they'll be extra careful now" even though Hogwarts tends to be pretty unpredictable, he just believed that the professors wouldn't let their students hurt, that thought seemed to tranquilize him.

"It could have gotten worse, thank God they only turned into animals that weren't dangerous enough" he continued, nodding.

My niece was in the classroom when the monkey and cheetah came in. Merlin, what a combination!

Catlin walked into the breakroom and could part of the conversation, some mentioning a monkey and a cheetah in a classroom, Wow what have i missed she laughed hoping not to seem like she was being nosey. she walked over to the cupbored and got a mug out to make herself a hot chocolate

"Yes, it was all so odd, and not a easy distraction to deal with" he could only imagine how it must have been like, the confusion of the students and everything. It must have been very hard, but it was over, apparently.

Jack looked at the woman who entered, he'd seen her before in the House-Elf Relocation Office, "You are aware of what happened in Hogwarts during this summer, right Catlin?" he asked, there were still many wizards unaware of the transformation of some students into animals, of course, not intended.

Noticing Jack was talking to her, No i'm not, what happened was it serious? she couldnt help but sound dumb at this point its just shes been staying at her fathers who is a muggle for the past year as he had been ill but now hes better she took the oportunity to get back into magical life

Oh, no! I'd better get back to the office. I have some research to get finished. She says as she stands up. It was great talking to you, Jack and Katherine.

Throwing her garbage in the trash, Liz walks out the door.

Jack wasn't surprised, not many had heard the incidents, he started to tell about how some animals were constantly being seen by the staff and the students, the sudden disappearances, and anything that wasn't Hogwarts-normal, "So, long story short, the missing students were transfigured into those animals, now, it isn't something you deal with very easily" he ended, standing to get some water, he became thristy all of the sudden.

"Bye Liz" Jack managed to say, before Liz disappeared in the hallway, he went to take a seat by the table.

Wow did they ever find out who was transiguring the students, Catlin all of a sudden didnt feel so excited for her niece to be starting Hogwarts this year. Did you know any of the students? are the okay now though?

"Well, I'm not sure they did find out, or that's something I haven't heard" he said, Jack was positive Hogwarts made or was making an investigation about it, but the truth wouldn't turn out so easy.

"Yes, neither got hurted, there was one that was very upset about what happened, but they're okay" he chuckled, he remembered listening about this boy, whose transfiguration didn't amuse him whatsoever, his chuckle turn into a 'clearing-his-throat' kind of sound, it was inappropiate of him to consider it funny.

Katherine had been sitting sipping her coffee, listening to the conversation around her and ejoying the sensation of the caffeine seeping into her. And then she realized that Liz had left, and Jack was now talking to someone else.

Oh well. That's what happens when you don't pay attention. She placed her mug back onto the table in front of her, still seated on the floor. Which could seem strange to anyone now, since they wouldn't have known what hse had been doing earlier.

Well thats good then, i hope it doesnt happen again this year as my niece Crystal is starting Hogwarts soon. she started to think about the children being turned into animals she tryed her hardest not to laugh, even though it was exactly funny the idea of random animals wandering around the school tickled her for some reason, she turned towards the door for a minute to hid the tiny grin on her face

"I don't think it'll happen again, their security must have increased very much, it is Hogwarts and there might always be something strange going on but I know the students are in good hands" he said, that was something he truly believe, the Headmistress and the professors were protecting their students as if they were their own children.

Jack smiled, "My daughter will start her third year now, I'll ask her to keep an eye on Crystal if your niece gets sorted into Hufflepuff" he said, he was never going to forget how happy his daughter was to belong in Hufflepuff, it was the same house he was in.

Thank you, im hoping that she will be in Hufflepuff just like her mum and me, she smiled thinking back to when she was at school.

Oh i know that the staff would never let anything happen to the children, i cant help but worry though. changing the subject she asks: Do you know if there is any work coming our way soon?

"She probably will, well, hopefully" he said to Catlin, and nodded while she talked about the school, and he agreed with her, you will always worry, no matter where they are.

Jack chuckled, "We hope so" and looked over at Katherine, most of the Department didn't have much to do at the moment, and Katherine couldn't find any traces of work when she was reading the cards earlier, he ended to drink his glass of water and placed it on the table.

ahh okay, i might go down to cafe soon to get something to eat while saying this she though about going to see if her friend Issy on floor 7 has had lunch yet

Sparky the house elf apparated into the break room, going about a typical elf's routine of cleaning out the wastebins and cleansing tables so as not to attract attention. He watched the wizards in the room silently, making no unusual manuevers, as he waited for the other rebels to arrive.

There was something unusual about the elf cleaning this room, at that hour and with the sight of everyone on him, probably, "Hey there" he looked suspiciusly at the elf, then he saw an Erkling and a Sphynx go by the door in the other direction, "What?" was all he said, Jack thought they kept those in the Holding Room and left the Break Room in that way.

From her position on the floor, Katherine was almost eye level with the elf, who seemed like he was acting suspiciously. She didn;t think they liked cleaning when people were around. And then in her peripheral vision, she saw something go past the doorway.

Then she heard Jack exclaim. Raising an eyebrow, she boosted herself back up onto the couch, so she would be more able to jump into action if it was deemed necessary.

on her way down to the Atrium to find out what was going on she ran across a Erkling and a Sphynx which was very unusual as they were ment to be in the holding room. she ran straight into the break room, nearlly knocked the house elf off its feet and exclaimed, Hey did you guys just see that? I thought they were ment to be locked up!

Lola stumbled into the break room. She held her wand in her muddy hand. Beads of sweat were dripping down her face. She looked like she had crawled out of a hole in the ground. The normally shy, polite woman saw the elf. Her eyes widened with fear. "Stupefy!" she shouted and pointed her wand at the tiny elf.

The looked at the few people in the room. "Well don't just stand there, tie that blasted thing up," she directed her wand at the elf. She didn't feel the need to explain her actions, after what the other House-elves had put her though.

Lola poured herself a glass of water and sat down. "I was thinking," she said aloud, to no one in particular. "Even though the elves are rebelling, don't they still have magical restrictions." She took a sip of water. All this running about made her thirsty. "So if I revive that thing, and tell it not to apparate, it physically can't!" she smiled deviously. "Because if that works, then I have an idea." She put her cup down and nervously tapped her foot.

Catlin looked on with shock and confusion as Lola came running in, Huh whats going on, what rebellion? in a way she was glad that she hadnt made it down to the atrium by the looks of Lola. Erm well yeah if you tell him not to apperate then im pretty sure that he should listen although if they are rebelioning then there is a chance he will just ignore you, she added hoping not to make things worse

Lola looked down at her feet. She had kicked off her shoes on Level 8, and they were starting to hurt her. She carefully stood up and circled the unconscious elf. "But aren't elves magically bonded to their masters? Doesn't that mean they HAVE to obey, even if they don't want to?" she paced back and forth. If the elves could disobey the masters, there was little they could do to stop them.

Lola was unfamiliar with this floor and what was on it. "Do you have any sort of holding room for renegade beasts? I think that's where we ought to put the elf." She looked at the stunned woman in the room. "Let's go and I'll try to tell you what's going on." she patted her on the shoulder. "You didn't happened to see any children around, did you?" she asked, staying focused on the primary objective.

erm i think there is but im not sure where as im new here, she looked confused still. Where are we going? she thought for a second erm no i havent seen any children but i have seen a Erkling and a Sphynx if that helps
