Between shifts, before work, during lunch, and after work, if you ever need a place to cool off, sit down, have a chat, this is the place to do it. The public isn't allowed in here, only the employees of the Ministry, particularly those of Level Four, are permitted to be here. There is a sink and microwave on the counter in the back of the room, with a refridgerator next to it, and several small, round tables with 4 chairs each positioned in the room. There is also a coffee maker and some cupboards, with mugs of various colors and sizes stored inside.
In the fartheset corner, there is a large, overly-long couch, one that would never be seen in the muggle world, designed for all the hard workers to have somewhere comfortable to sit while they relax during their breaks. | |

James put down the paper when a familar voice interrupted his reading. " Hey!" HE smiled and nodded towards the chair. " course you can." he folded the paper and placed it on the table in front of him. He reachd and slightly loosened the tie he had on. making a mental note to never bother with the thing again.

A young woman of about twenty-five entered the break room from her office in the Centaur Liaison division. She had long, shiny brown hair, that was wavy from having been in a bun all day. (She had taken it out because it was pulled so tight it gave her a headache.) She had sparkling, dark-turquoise eyes. Her name was Violet Lakeshell.
Violet sat down in the corner, away from everyone else. She stood up again after about five seconds though, and got a big blue mug from the cupboard. She filled it with coffee and returned to her seat. She drank her coffee, watching all the other Ministry employees laugh and chat.

James who seemed to have tripped and fallen into a downward spiral for thoughts for about 5 seconds and looked at jocelyn with a confused expression as his thoughts returned to the reality. " Huh, wha.. no did you say something?"James shook his head slightly and laughed his distraction off. " I think I need a day out of the office.... So... about this Lunch... what did you have in mind?"

"Shall we then," Jocelyn asked pulling herself up out of her chair. She smiled at James as he stood along side her and they headed toward the door together. Smiling as he done so she thanked him with a slight nod, which when they reach outside the departments break room she held her arm out toward him. James laughed lightly when she paused at the door. He smirked and pulled the door open allowing her to exit first. Once in the hallway he took her arm in his. " Three days.. didn't take you long to get spoiled to gentlemanly behavior." He grinned down at her. as they approached the lifts. He pushed the button and waited. " You don't mind if we ride to the park do you? My brother and his girlfriend dropped by unannounced this morning and I had to use muggle transportation." He explained. even though it wasn't that he didn't enjoy riding his motorcycle in fact he loved it. But it had always been more convenient to use magical methods to get to and from work.

Emily entered the reak room yawning loudly. It had been a ruought month for her. Taking care of a sick three year old plus having her nephew come living with her had taken a toll on her. Plus the fact that there was still nothing for her to do around here either. Not bothering to ask for work she moved to her favorite spot in thw break room, taking out her issue of the Daily Prophet and began reading, sifting through the boring rumors.
A few moments passed before she relaized she didn't have her coffee with her. Frowning she got up, leaving her purse on her paper and picked up her favorite mug. Cleaning it with a qiuick charm she poured herself a cup and added some cream and sugar before sitting back down and taking a long sip.
Things had been slow all around, though she had been hearing some rumors lately. She doubted they were true but she couldn't tell and didn't want to ask. It wasn't anything to do with her department and that's all she cared about. Sipping her coffee she stopped blinking as she looked down at page 12 of the paper.

Katherine made her way into the breakroom, loking for some caffeine as well as a place to relax outside of her desk. Which was quickly becoming a place she didn't want to be at. They hadn't had any assignments since Mr. Kerr, which Rosalie had said she would take care of. So when she was at her desk, she ended up just sitting staring off into space.
Going over to the cupboards, she takes out her black mug, and fills it with coffee. Walking over to the couch, she sits on the floor in front of it, placing her mug on the low table and withdrawing her Tarot deck from her pocket. She had started carrying it around simply so she would have something to do. Shuffling the deck, she starts idly dealing them out, waiting to see what they will say to her. There were other people in the room, but she chose not to notice them for the moment.
