Wow, this lady sure giggles a lot, thought Jenkins.

"Iridescent, I'm not familiar with that color," admitted Jenkins.

"O....ummmm..." she paused for a minute to think about how to explain it..."Well it's a color that kind of changes...it's usually a collection of pastel colors and depending on how the light or sun hits it you see a different pastel color." she hoped that wasn't too confusing.

"Sounds cool," said Jenkins not completely following her. She seemed...fun. Maybe she would like his quidditch idea.

"I was thinking of suggesting quidditch matches between the different divisions in international cooperation, it would at least spice things up around here. I mean we wouldn't practice or anything but... does that sound to unprofessional to you?"

Iridesca thought about it for a few minutes..."Well, it might be fun if we did it outside of work hours...you know as a fun get together or cook out or something..." she wasn't really sure what the rules for that kind of thing was but she didn't see any harm in it...but she loved Quidditch...I mean didn't everyone!

"Yeah, I guess... outside of work hours," Jenkins said, "So did you go to hogwarts?"

She could hear the disappointment in his voice from her answer, so she welcomed the change in subject. "Yes, I did. I'm a proud Hogwarts Ravenclaw Graduate! How bout you?"

"Slytherin. I graduated a couple months ago, and you?" Jenkins asked, he was curious to know how old she was... she looked young.
"I'm 18," he added.

"O I graduated about nine years ago..." she could already imagine how he was going to react..."I know I look younger than I am..I'm 27....I traveled for a few years and then I worked for Weasley's Wizarding Wheazes for a few years as a Sales Management Exec traveling the world opening new stores and revamping old stores." she reached into her bag and pulled out package of gummy cauldrons..."Would you like one?" she offered.

"Oh no thank you," he said about the gummies.

"9 years ago, ummm... traveled though...that's what i wanted to do, but my father said he'd stop paying for me if I left so i applied here for an international job thought maybe I'd travel through work while saving up," said Jenkins, he was slightly dissapointed though, about her being 9 years older. Maybe they could just be friends though.

"Well, I didn't really give my parents a choice about me traveling after graduation...I just started working in between terms and saving up...and then during my final year of Hogwarts my grandmother passed away and she left me some money, so that helped..." she paused thinking about her grandmother...then continued..."So since I had the money I just took off...it was def an adventure..."

"Cool," Jenkins said, "Not about your grandmother dying though," he added quickly.

"Have you seen any other guys around here?" he said changing the subject again, "I've met you, Abilee, and Ms. Hayman... no boys though. Apparently my division head is a guy but I haven't seen him. Ms. Hayman seemed worried about that."

"Well, I have to admit that this is just my second day on the job. You're actually the first person other than Lili that I've met. That's why I wanted to throw this Luau so we could all meet each other and have some fun in the process." she really did hope a lot of peeps in the department showed up.

"All right... just wondering,"he said,"So I probably should get back to work I've been in here over an hour talking to Abilee and then you. But feel free to drop by my cubicle."

He stood up to leave.

She waved, "Nice to meet you." wow she hoped everyone was as nice as her first acquaintance in the Department. She grabbed a cup of hot stuff and headed back to her office.

Jenkins grabbed a cup of tea and sat down at a table. He was hoping to maybe meet a fellow worker again, after all he had met Abilee and Iridesca in here yesterday.

Lili needed something to drink. She felt like she had been working a lot since she was asked to step up as department head. Maybe she should put a kettle in her office. No. That won't do, she thought just after that, it would mean that I would never get out of the office at all.

So after the rush of people had left her office she made her way to the breakroom in search of a cup of tea. It may no be breakfast time, but she was looking for a breakfast blend. If they didn't have any, she'd just have to make sure she bought some and brought it in.

Walking over to the counter she opened up a cupboard and selected her favourite mug. It simply just had flowers on it. She put the kettle on to boil and got the sugar dish out of the cupboard and the milk from the counter that was permantly under a cooling spell. After rumaging through the draw with all the tea in it, she found what she was finally looking for and put the tea bag into her mug and added a bit of sugar and milk. Opening another drawer she pulled out a spoon and sat it beside her mug and then went and sat down on one of the couches in the room while she waited for the kettle to boil.

Jenkins saw the department head sitting on a couch seemingly waiting for some tea or coffee.

"Hello," he said, "Mind if I join you?"

"Not at all," Lili said as the boy that was in her office yesterday asked if she could join her. "Take a seat," she said, still listening for the kettle to boil.

"So..." Jenkins said, "Are you going to the luau on Wendsday?"

"Yes," she told him, just as the kettle finally boiled. She got up and made her way over to the counter and poured water into her mug. After she stirred it for a couple minutes she went back over to the couch with her tea in hand. "Sorry bout that," she said, "are you going?"

"Hopefully," Jenkins said.

"So are you enjoying your place in the ministry so far?" Lili asked him. She knew that it was a little dull around here right now, because all they were doing was making sure everything was in order, and they hadn't heard back from France yet, so she didn't know what was going on, but she hoped that things would pick up soon.

"Not really," said Jenkins, "The actual work is boring. I've met 2 people, besides you, and they're both very nice. Iredesca and Abigail. Are there any other males that work here? I asked Iridesca but she didn't know."

She decided that she was going to ignore his comment about it being boring for now. "The other two division heads on this level are male, Iain Hunter, and Jacob Webster. But primarily most of the employees are female, but there are some males. If you like, you can always go down to the cafeteria, there is bound to be other people from the ministry there," she told him, but he'd have to make sure he came back up here to work. In the meantime, she should track down Iain, she really was starting to wonder where he'd gone, and she also wanted to know if he wanted to go out tonight.

"You want to go down to the cafeteria with me?" he asked, hopefully.

He pulled his wand out, playfully threatening her, "I'll hex you if you won't have lunch with me."
