Iris entered the Breakroom in order to have some coffee. She knew that drinking coffee with an empty stomach would ruin her health but she didn't care. She had a seat at the most remoted corner of the empty Breakroom and started sipping her coffee slowly and silently. She took out the Daily Prophet again, placed it in front of her and started to read. After a while, though, she gave up as she couldn't concentrate; her mind was at her own concerns. So this is the place where my parents used to work, she thought. This is the place where they spent their days when they were alive. And I hope that this is also the place where they collected with their work all the money they left me. But where else could all this money possibly come from? she wondered for the hundredth time. Confused, she sighed and started drawing a serpent on the margin of the front page of the issue of the Daily Prophet laying in front of her.

What Dora liked most at the Breakroom was that it had been very stylish decorated, just as she liked. She came in after finishing some of her paperwork and took a seat.
After having coffee in the morning, she decided it would be better to drink a tea instead of coffee now. Actually, she was quite a fan of tea as well.
She noticed another employee there and wanted to start a conversation with her so she moved closer. "Hello, my name is Dora Mackenzie!"she introduced herself, and asked if it was ok for her to sit there.

Iris was lost in her thoughts when she heard a young woman, around 25 years old she guessed, introduce herself and ask for permission to sit with her. Iris smiled "Of course. Have a seat," she said. "My name is Iris Melissa Frey, but everyone calls me Iris. I'm in the International Magical Cooperation Division. What Division are you in? And," Iris hesitated, "where are you from? Although you speak English perfectly, your features are foreign. At least that's how they appear to me," she mumbled while taking another sip of coffee and adding a few touches to the serpent she had been drawing on the front page of the Daiy Prophet.

"Nice to meet you,Iris!Looks like we're in the same division!"Dora said. " I was born in Ireland, but I have Irish,English, Romanian and German heritage so I don't look very British,indeed!"she added, smiling.
"International Cooperation is exactly where I wished to be because I enjoy travelling and meeting people from different countries. My biggest dream now is to have a holiday in Egypt as soon as possible. I'm fascinated of the Egyptian culture."she said.
"Is there anything interesting in the newspaper today?"Dora asked with curiousity, as she was beginning to drink her tea.

A blonde woman in a blue buissness suit walked in. She flipped her hair and sighed. She applied some pink eyeshadow and some black eyeliner. She put on some mascara and took off her suit jacket. She was wearing a pink cami underneath.She sighed and ordered a coffee. She picked a flower from the boquet at her table and put it in her hair. She sat up tall and hoped a guy would notice her.She took her coffee and her jacket and walked out the door.

"No, not really," Iris replied. "Nothing new. So you have Irish, English, Romanian and German heritage? That's great! I'm British with Greek heritage. My mother was Greek. And, believe it or not, Egypt is one of my favorite holiday destinations as well! Along with Japan, of course. Ever been to Japan?" she asked while finishing her cup of coffee.

"No, I've never been to Japan, although I have read much about it. I've seen China,though. The Chinese Wall was really impressive, and so was the Forbidden City. " Dora replied.
After finishing her tea, she searched for her lipstick in her bag, and for her tiny mirror as well. She re-applied her make-up and freshened up a bit. Then she added:
"I live in London now, but every weekend I go home in Ireland, to see my family. Do you live in London too? she asked her new friend.

"Yes, I do now. But I only moved in a few months ago. Since I finished Beauxbatons I've been travelling all over the world working as a reporter for the Daily Prophet. I've been to South Africa, China, America, Spain, Italy, Greece and a bunch of other countries I don't remember right now. It was very exciting. Do you have any previous jobs?" Iris asked, carefully folded the Daily Prophet and put it again in her bag. She then took out a small notebook, looked something up and placed it again in her pocket. "And, by the way," she continued, "do you happen to know what I should do on my first day at work? I talked to Mrs Murdoch, my Division's Head, but she was too busy to help me out and I kind of don't know what to do."

"I have worked at Gringotts as a curse breaker for 6 years together with my father before I decided to get a job at the Ministry." Dora replied. "Don't worry, I believe that Constanza Murdoch will find a few minutes to talk to you and answer all your questions. There's not much to do yet if you're new here." Dora said.
"I think I'll return to work now, if you'll excuse me. I'd love to chat more with you, however. What do you say if we meet at the cafeteria later?

"Sure, why not? I'll see you later," Iris waved. She watched Dora leave then decided it would be better to leave the cafeteria herself and look for something to do. She sighed, carefully caught her hair in a ponytail and left the Breakroom taking her handbag with her.

Kayleen stepped tenatively into the deserted breakroom. She more that glad that it was empty after her little tumble in the office area. She walked over to the counter and poured herself a cup of coffee. After pouring a bit of cream and sugar in it, she walked over to a table and sipped it gently. Setting it down, she reached for the hem of her trousers and noticed a small rip. "That won't do," she mumbled and pulled her long slender wand out from the inside pocket of her jacket. She waved it in one fluid motion and the tear sealed itself.

Chad was still working on his hot chocolate from the cafeteria when he paused at the entrance at the doorway, a soft smile on his face and a joyful glint in his eye. His eyes landed on each person in the break room, taking in their appearance. He would have to work with this people at times after all. Names were important too, but that would be left until after he met the department head.

He finished his hot chocolate and crumpled up the cup and bent his elbow at a 90 degree angle, and then took a shot for the nearest garbage can. The crumbled ball arched in the air and landed directly in the center of the can. Swish.

With a satisfying smirk, Chad turned on his heel and continued on his frolicing through the department.

Kayleen glanced up as someone walked in and threw a cardboard cup into the garbage. "Hello," she said tenatively. But he exited the room as quickly as he had entered. She frowned and continued to sit, nursing her coffee, and dreading her re-entrance to the department area.

Katherine walked into the room, it was nicely decorated. She took a seat, getting a cup of hot Coco and sipped it lightly, waiting for Lizeth to come. She smiled at everyone sitting in the room as she sat alone. Katie had always walked quite fast so she was sure she just left Lizeth behind. She sat back into her seat and closed her eyes. She was sure she should most likely write Austin at Hogwarts for his mother Jane.

In the distance, it sounded like somebody was....singing? A few seconds later, Chad was sliding in the room and was just belting out, "How sweet it is...to be loved by youu!" He chuckled softly and straightened up in an attempt to save what little dignity he had left.

He then noticed that Katie had already gone and gotten comfortable, and looked like her eyes had been closed, "Oh dear, I am sorry, did I disturb you?" He chuckled again and stroked his chin, "I seem to be doing that a lot aujourd'hui."

Chad prepared himself a cup of hot chocolate and took a seat at the table, sitting across from Katie. He smiled warmly and took a sip of his drink, before placing the cup softly down on the table. "I hope you don't mind a little bit of company...I can leave if you want me too...ce n'est pas une probleme!"

Katie opened her eyes, and leaned forward."No, not at all. I was just resting for a moment."She smiled, sipping at her hot chocolate."So..how do you like the ministry?"She cradled her cup in both of her hands. For the few minutes she was there, the drink seemed to have gotten hotter instead of cooling down, like it should have.

Chad smiled and relaxed more when she mentioned that it was ok. He leaned back in his chair. He took another sip of his chocolate, before getting up again and rummaging through the cupboards. He appeared a few seconds later, a smile on his face, and a thing of cookies in his hand. "Can't have cocoa without cookies."

He put them on the table and took one out and began to eat it, pondering the question. "Je l'aime! The ministry is so much fun...granted, I haven't gotten much work yet, but I still think that even then, it'll still be fun."

He continued to munch on his cookie, eyeing her, "How do you like the Ministry?"

Lizeth walked in after Chad and Katherine. She grabbed a cup of coffee and went to sit with them. She got to the table just in time to hear Chad ask Katherine if she liked working at the ministry. She sat down and said, "How could you not like working here?"

Katherine looked at her cup then back up,"The ministry is what I wanted since I was a firstie in Hogwarts. But lets just say that It came with a price. I love it here so I think I made the right choice but, in the long run, I lost something important."Katie tried to smile but It slightly turned into straight face.

Lizeth wanted to ask what the price was, but seeing the pain that was obvious on Katies face she kept herself from asking. "I've always wanted to work here too."

Kayleen picked up the stir stick from her table in the corner and stirred another sugar cube into her coffee. She was really feeling the need for comfort food and her sweet tooth was begging for more. She pursed her lips and raised her coffee. One gulp, one sip, one more gulp. Nearly empty, now. She tips the cup to the ceiling and drains the last of her golden brown elixir.

Standing slowly, she stepped over to the trash can and disposed of her empty cup, and made her exit.

Tonya Anne wandered into the breakroom and noticed it almost empty. She was hoping to meet other members from her division but she had no luck. She walked over and got a cup of tea, sat at an empty table. looked around again and sighed.

Dora decided to take a break from work, so she went in the breakroom and looked for a seat. She noticed one of her colleagues sitting alone and walked over there to meet her.
" Hello, would you mind if I join you? My name is Dora Mackenzie." she said, also taking a cup of coffee and slowly beginning to drink from it.

Tonya Anne looked up from her tea and smiled, "Nice to meet you Dora. I'm Tonya Anne Springs but you can call me T.A. or Tonya which ever you prefer." she said motioning to the empty seat at the table, "Sure have a seat." she added. "How long haveyou worked in the Ministry?" she asked politely brushing a stray hair out of her eyes.
