Connor noticed out of the corner of his eye a young lady enter and sit down.

She looked, just as he did, incredibly nervous. He made his way over.

Hi, name's Connor. Are you new here as well?" Connor said with a grin.

DH was starting to feel a little freaked by the weird light he saw in the Planet Room that he decided to walk to the Break Room and found that it wasn't empty.

He saw 2 new faces, a division Head and the Department Head. He smiled at everybody and approached the Department Head, "Good day, Ms. Vivaldi. Do you need some assistance?" he asked and then looked at the others.

He then nodded at the new ones and, if he had more time, he would give them a tour of the whole department. But for now, it is to start this party as soon as possible.

Kris noticed the new entrance of an incredibly nervous looking employee, and another Division Head. He began to smile at the Division Head, but once he went to the Department Head, he turned his smile to the other employees.

It wasn't empty in here for once.

Wandering back into the breakroom, Alyss could feel her will slipping. Her head was possibly allergic to the new dye she'd used that morning. But it was too good to resist. When she was fifteen, she'd been dying her hair all sorts of colours, pink and black... Blue and blonde.. Etc etc, but never ever ginger, it looked nice on her, she was sure. But her head hurt waay too much.

But it could be all to do with the fact that Winter had a new baby.

UGH. She could of killed the little bundle last night. Grabbing a coffee from the machine, Alyss grimaced. It wailed all night long, until he went in and... Sung to it. Why anyone would want her uncle singing to them, was beyond her. Leaning against the side, she closed her eyes. If ANY one came up and talked to her, she was going to eat them.

After sending his Patronus to his employees in the Hall of Prophecy, Aidon stepped out of the Hall and took a deep breath. He had been in there simply too long. He ran his hand through his hair again before pocketing his wand and making his way to the break room.
As he entered he pulled up a vacant chair and conjured himself a goblet of pumpkin juice. He sighed deeply.

One moment the break room had only one or two others and the next there seemed to be an uncanny amount of people in it. The newer ones seemed nervous and shy, while others seemed to chatter about. That Connor guy though was quite social enough.

And then someone else addressed her, whom was quite well dressed given his tie and charm. What was his name though? No matter . . . he knew her name, and that was what was important. Right? Of course right.

"Greetings, yes, a pleasure," she smiled artificially at him.

But then someone else addressed her, offering assistance. To this figure she knew as the Planet Room Division Head, since he had politely introduced himself and welcomed her. Nice wizard, DH was, yes, very nice indeed.

"Good day, DH," Sophia replied, hesitating for a moment. "No. I think everything is all set and ready to begin." Even the employees had started arriving, which meant only one thing: it was time to get this party started.

Clearing her throat - in the most ladylike fashion as possible - Sophia half-smiled out to the gathering around the tables before she began. "Thank you all for coming out this afternoon to celebrate a new era in the Ministry. For those who don't know me," And let's be realistic, who doesn't? "My name is Sophia Vivaldi, the Head of the Department of Mysteries. And as most of you have seen in the headlines, Reagan Taylor has been elected as our new Minister. So in the spirits of the change in leadership, both globally for our Minister and specific to this department with myself and some of the Division Heads, please enjoy the refreshments and opportunity to mingle with some of your colleagues. Thank you again."

Once finished, the brunette approached the refreshment table and poured herself a cup of tea with light cream and selected a single pastry before making her way over towards the tables to mingle as well.

Stacey-Ann was shy she didn't know where to go or where to start she had been missing from the department for so long that there were so many new faces since she had been off she headed over to the refreshment table and grabbed a cup of coffee and sighed as she took a sip and looked about for somebody to chat to

Oh. Wasn't that kind of her. She was actually allowing them to mingle with each other. Oh JOY! Finally they were free from the evil oppression of those who chose to keep them from each other. Raising an eyebrow at their new Department head, Alyss turned from her position in whence she was looking at the woman, and turned back to the refreshment table. Okay, so maybe she was considering this woman harshly, like she had done at first with Marina. Maybe it was just her pride getting in the way of change. Rolling her eyes at her own thoughts, she wandered over to one of the windows, and leaned against the wall surrounding the glass.

Ugh. Perhaps she was being too judgemental, maybe she was just set in her ways. Closing her eyes and running a free hand through her brushed mane of hair, Alyss felt a small smile creasing over her lips. God, she was changing, now she was considering that being judgemental was wrong. Funny how things played around your life.

Melina had walked in just in time to catch Ms. Vivaldi's speech, which was quite lovely. She walked over to the coffee pot and poured herself a cup. As she took a sip, her eyes scanned the room for someone to talk with.

Edilson had been quite distant from the break room in the past few days, he didn't feel like mingling with anyone and was rather hoping for a few moments of peace after what happened in the lo---, never mind. Shrugging, Edi pushed open the door, hoping for it to be less crowded and more airy, however, the room was buzzing with employees from every division.

Edi silently listened to what the new head was gushing about and sighed, refreshments sounds like a good plan. He walked over the to newspaper stand and picked up the latest copy of the Daily Prophet, he grimaced and flopped the newspaper back on the stand, after all who wants to read about the elections or Reagan Taylor 24/7 and it seemed to be the only hot topic for the newspapers at the moment. Running a hand through his hair, Edi marched over to the long refreshment table and grabbed a cupcake, a few cookies and a glass of orange juice.

As he was about to turn and leave, Edi spotted Alyss, yeah.. the same lady which had been the centre of his attention for a week or so. He met her gaze and tried to suppress his ever broad grin, "Hi." Edi muttered casually and extended his free hand to her.

Still rapped up in her own thoughts about... Herself, Alyss was only half aware that someone had intoned a greeting toward her. Her mind was going through all the different things that the noise could be, until her eyes un-misted, and she looked, with a tiny amount of shock, at a hand that was held out toward her. Her eyebrows furrowed for a moment, and then her hazel eyes swiveled up to look at the owner of the hand.

Ah. The last time she'd seen him, she'd glared at him. Not a lot of people came back for more. Taking the proffered hand, and actually wondering how her own hands got to be so small, the corner of her lips twitched. He'd said the greeting as if he was bored with himself, or her already. "Hello." She replied, keeping her voice as casual as his. Two could play at that game. Not bothering to add anything else, she removed her hand from his, and placed her empty cup down. Now, there was a reason that she'd glared at him earlier that week... But what was it..?

... Did there need to be a reason?

Kris raised an eyebrow slightly at the way his boss addressed him. As he listened to her speech, he went to the refreshments to get himself something to drink and a pastry, while waiting for her to be done. Once she was, he casually waited for her to wander over to the table.

His luck, she did just that. He waited until she had chewed her own pastry, before introducing himself.

"Ms. Vivaldi," he said. "I'm Kristofer Atkins. Time Room Division Head. Unfortunately, we hadn't properly been introduced. It's a pleasure to meet you."

He saw a rather unhappy looking woman in the corner, and he tilted his head as he tried to catch her eye. It wasn't so bad, and all this up and turn of power was sure to make anyone cranky.

His look was trying to say he'd be there to rescue her in a minute.


Good. One of his employees was here. It was a good day for him to see someone being out of the blasted Time Room, with the apparent ticking that had been going on. That, and the weird sounds.

And why Kris kept sneezing. Anyway, Kris was glad to see Melina out of the room, and nodded politely at her in order to address her.

Aha. So someone else was brave enough to approach the woman before he got the chance too. Oh well. The man who did, his name was like... Edilson, or something. He had met him in here actually, when Edi was new. He also smiled politely at him, and made a note to talk to them later, once he was done adressing Vivaldi.

On that note, he turned his attention back to her, awaiting to see her reaction and to silently assess her.

Seeing Kris nod to her, she smiled. "Hi. It's nice to be out and mingling with everyone, isn't it?", she said brightly.

Melina wouldn't admit it but was very happy to be out of the Time Room, what with the strange noises and all going on, even if some were a normal occurance.

Aidon nodded to Sophia's brief speech. He raised his goblet as she spoke and finished his Pumpkin Juice. He stood up and made his way to the refreshment table. He grabbed a thick cauldron cake and took a small bite of it, savoring the taste of the tasty treat. His thirst coming back again, he made his way to get a drink, standing beside Sophia as he poured himself some chilled tea.
"That was a very nice speech, Sophia," he said kindly to her.

Rosalie entered the Break Room just in time to hear the Head of Department of Mysteries,Sophia Vivaldi making an anouncement about the new Minister Reagan Taylor.She thought she really liked Sophia right from her voice to her presence.Rose was also shocked because she didn't expect the Break Room to be so vast or cozy.She just expected a small coffee room or something.

Unsure of what to do and feeling mightily intimidated by the large number of colleagues around her ,Rose decided to wait for the only person whom she know in the Ministry ..none other than her department head DH..Glancing every minute or so at the door for DH to appear, Rose sank comfortably at the nearest soft chintz chair debating whether to get a refreshment for her or not while waiting for him.

And in her mind she also had the desire to meet Sophia Vivaldi who looked quite kind and likeable. Her greatest worry now was that would DH be irritated with her accompanying him everywhere .But Rose really didn't know what else to do because all the people around her were strangers to her.

Edi felt sort of nervous around her, she didn't seem very fond of having him around and this made him more and more exasperated. Honestly, they had only met each other briefly and yet she looked as if she is holding a grudge against him for years! Shurgging, Edi took a sip of his drink and decided to take this conversation a little further, "The name's Edilson, Nice to meet you Miss..?" Edi narrowed his eyes, how can he not know her name? Playing a little lost can't hurt, can it? But in Alyss's case it might bite him back.

"Glass, Alyss Glass." Not bothering to do her age old thing of spelling out her first name, she let a little polite smile creep onto the corner of her mouth. Unfortunately, she didn't fare well when it came down to being polite, so it came out slightly more playful than she'd intended. See, the total problem with being allowed to be "herself" when she was at home, and not tamed down or shown how to act in public had really taken it's toll. She could feel him backing away just slightly, and cursed herself for the total lack of social skills. Also, how could it be nice to meet her? Unless he had some sort of fetish for people who were similar to herself, it seemed an odd thing to say.

"You haven't worked here long, have you?" She asked, surprising herself with the piece of small talk that she was able to produce without thinking about it. Taking a better look at him now that he was right in front of her, she put her head on it's side, and almost grinned. He looked almost exactly like that guy she'd seen in the Leaky Cauldr... Oh. Oh... Dear.

Alice made it into the Break Room just in time to here her Ms. Vivaldi's speech about the election... and quite an excellent speech at that. Alice, being as shy as she was when it came to things such as talking in front of a large group of people, was more impressed with her confidence than anything though. She could handle talking in front of the people in her division... but Alice wasn't sure she'd be able to handle speaking in front of the entire Department like her boss had just done. Quite brave, really...

She lingered shyly in the doorway, sipping her morning coffee for a few more moments, before deciding she'd best sit down and join the other members of her Department in 'mingling', as Sofia said. But, first to get something to eat... Alice wandered over to the refreshment table, catching sight of Sofia. As she did Alice gave her a small rather nervous smile in greeting. "Nice speech, if I do say so myself, Ms. Vivaldi." she said politely, picking up a Danish and wrapping it neatly in a napkin so she didn't get the sticky glaze all over her hands.

Alice glanced up at the rest of the Department as she finished grabbing her snack, wondering just where she was going to sit, and with whom. Her brown eyes scanned the room anxiously for a member of her division, she could sit with... for anyone she knew in the Department, really. It couldn't hurt to get more acquainted with the employees on Level Nine.

You know, unless she somehow managed to make huge fool out of her self in her process.

Hmm, she'd try to think positively...

...Now where to sit?

Gabs (Gabriella) made her way to the break room.She sat down on a chair,drinking her juice.

Rose decided there is no point in waiting for DH as he might have some duties to attend to.She just glanced across the room when she saw a girl sitting alone on a chair sipping her juice.So Rosalie got up from her seat and made her way towards the girl pausing only to choose a butterbeer for her to drink.She sat down near the girl(Gabriella)and extended her hand and said,''Hello,my name is Rosalie.. I am a new employee at the Planet Room.What's your name...?

It wasn't long at all before Sophia heard her name and looked up from her tea cup smiling falsely at the gentlemen, who was evidently one of her division heads. "No, it seems we have not. Nice to finally meet the man behind the words who allowed me to hire such," she commented lightly before saying his name, more for her own memory although she would likely forget the name. "But please, call me 'Sophia'. Kristofer Atkins." Any guy was welcome to call her Sophia, naturally!

The brunette frowned though when she followed his gaze towards a rather unhappy woman who seemed to be glaring at her. Blinking and feeling slightly self-consciously - a difficult feat for Sophia but with another woman glaring at her was totally happening - she was grateful when a man seemed to distract her and the department head looked back to Kristofer.

Oh. A compliment!! How lovely; Sophia adored those who complimented her, even if she didn't know who they were. But it was from a man, so she didn't care either. "Ah, thank you, thank you." A [flirtatious] smile clearly planted on her face now.

As enticing as it was being surrounded by those two gentlemen and fauned over (so she thought anyway XD!), Sophia nonetheless took notice as a woman entered and seemed relatively confused. The woman was no doubt a new hire, which it was a wonder she even found the break room at all.

About to rise, albeit reluctantly, to greet and welcome her, Sophia stopped herself when she seemed to strike conversation with another employee. Good, she decided, grateful for some more time to get to know the two fine-looking wizards....

... And she spoke, or thought rather, too soon. Because hardly a second later a woman came and spoke nicely - as the wizard before her had done, about her speech. "Ah thank you," Uh... what was her name? Not that it truly mattered, but the wizard after Kris, now he was something...

Oh? Was she looking for a place to sit? Hmm, she should really be nice and even if she didn't get along with most females, unless it was Kaylee, when the girl wasn't stealing her boyfriend at least. But really, females were generally just a threat and caused drama (not that she was entirely innocent in that matter but you know, )

"Um.." Clearing her throat, to mostly cover up how difficult this was for her. "Sit? You. Please?" Cue eyelash flutter to cover up the awkwardness.

Alice's eyes flicked back from the tables to the Department Head, giving her her full attention once more as she thanked her.

"Your quite welcome." Alice replied, politely as always, giving her a small smile. She shifted awkwardly as the conversation paused for a moment, wondering if she should just sorta walk off speedily and get away from the intimidating silence...but, no that would be rude, and Alice Leigh Sumner was not a rude person thank you very much. Perhaps she should introduce herself...?

But before she could say anymore (something Alice considered a good thing...thankfully she hadn't embarrassed herself yet) Sofia was clearing her throat, earning alice's full attention once more. "Sure." she replied cheerfully, and perhaps a bit too quickly, as Ms.Vivaldi asked if she'd like to sit with her, leading the way to a table and seating herself gracefully. Any sort of awkwardness went unnoticed by her. Alice was simply grateful of someone to sit with... She smiled slightly at Sophia, deciding now would be an adequate time to finally introduce herself to her new boss. "I don't believe we've meant, I'm Alice Sumner, new Division Head of the Brain Room." she said firmly, though a little nervously, pride coming out in her voice as she stated her occupation. "Nice to meet you." she added, extending her hand for Sofia to shake.

'Hi..I'm Gabriella..you can call me Gabs..I work in the death chamber..nice to meet you,Rose..and welcome to the Department of mysteries.', Gabriella said , with the usual cheerful face.

Kris nodded politely as he smiled at her, a warm one to let her know that he wasn't going to bite. Well, as long as he wasn't provoked, anyway. "And you, Sophia, may call me Kris for short, if you'd like."

He noticed her follow his gaze as he also picked up something to drink. The woman over there didn't seem as happy about the man who had walked over to her. He hadn't recognized her, but he saw the glare she gave Sophia.

Looks like someone is a bit cranky today.

"Seems like she's not too thrilled, right now," he said quietly to his Department Head. "I can't understand why. You seem quite the joy to work with, so far."

Kris looked over to the other woman that had adressed their Department Head, and he was quite surprised at how pretty all the women were in the Department.

"I don't believe we've met yet," Kris said. "Kristofer Atkins. Time Room Division Head."

She needed a break.

Marina brushed bangs of light, brown hair out of sparkling, blue eyes as she walked into the Level Nine Breakroom, a little tired but definitely looking forward to a cup of tea. Thank God for magical vending machines.

It was times like these that reminded her of the perks of having been a professional model. That awesome, pink Cadillac, for instance. The a-little-above-twenty year old scanned the room with cheerful eyes, taking in everything and everyone before speaking.

"Hey guys. Good day, isn't it?" The random words were directed towards Alice, Kris, Sophia, Rose, Alyss, Gabriella and pretty much everyone else in the vicinity, really. Now they had better reply, all of them, or she was going to EYE them.

Well, not really.
