The Department of Mysteries can get tough, but fear not; the break room is here to settle those working blues. So, sit down, pull up a chair and releax. What else better is there to do?
In the room sits several tables, along with a variety of chairs; from straight-backed to ones so soft that you can sink in, there's always a place to collapse. A magically-operated vending machine rests against a wall so you won't go hungry, and several magazines and books are scattered throughout the room. | |

Ivan nodded to all three of the people at his table and stood the rest of the way up. He looked down at his robe. Jam stain. Water he'd spit up a bit. Cookie crumbs. He brushed away the crumbs. "Thanks for the meal and the chat." Ivan winked back at Trism, "And thanks for the letter." He decided he would definitely be back to visit - although he made a mental note to bring back-up food, just in case the tuna didn't work out so well. He was assuming, of course, that none of the higher ups would give them any grief for cross-departmental fraternization.
Politely excusing himself, Ivan ran a hand through his mussed-up hair and exited the room. A minute or so later he could be seen passing the door again, heading in the correct direction of the elevator - although it would be a full five minutes before he actually found it. Ivan got lost. Frequently.

Trism watched the man walk out of the room. "Interesting man that one." He smiled at Yusuke. "Hope he comes back to tell us more about those dragons. His family's in charge of the Romanian Dragon reserve." He stood up, collected his trash and then smoothed down his green robe. "Well - back to work. See everyone later." He waved and then exited the room.

Yusuke nodded to Trism as he left.
"He is interesting and I still don't know much more about dragons..."
He slumped in his chair a bit.
"Guess we'll see you later, Trism!"
Yusuke then watched a girl who had been pretty silent this entire time, leave the room. He hoped she hadn't felt offended that she wasn't involved in the cookie disaster, but then again she may just like being quiet.

Elijah Wright entered the break room. His hands were shoved into his pants pockets and he was trying to appear welcoming. He looked around at the room, where several people were sitting, talking, and carrying on with their own business. Clearing his throat, he began to speak softly. "I have posted your job assignments onto your application forms. You may enter the room to which you've been directed, but you may not begin to work until your Division Head gives you your job. Also ..."
At this point, Elijah pulled his left hand out, ran it through his hair, then nodded at the people in front of him. "Promotions will be avaliable, though no more Division Heads will be named until our new workers arrive, or in the case that one Division Head has to step down from their job. These Heads are your bosses, and they will report everything directly to me, so I expect you to treat them with much respect. Thank you, and welcome to the Department of Mysteries."
With that said, Elijah promptly turned around and returned to his office.

Max re-entered the Break Room the following day. She didn't slink, prowl, or slither in. She walked in, relieved that nobody was in there. Max new she had a bit of tension to release and she new that some people thought her rude or snobbish. She was just quiet, to herself. You can't help what you are can you?
She found a semi-comfy chair and glanced around. There wasn't much to see, your standard Break Room stuff. Max approached the vending machine and chose a disgusting looking sweet.

Max heard someone speaking to her, she switched her attention from the pastry and replied unsure,
"Hey, name's Max. I work there too." she extended her hand waiting for Miki to take it.
At least Max was trying to be friendly.

Max got up quickly, walked out of the Break Room, and headed towards the Hall of Prophecy.

After washing her hands so that the smell could leave her hands, Estelle walked into the break room of the Department of Mysteries. The room was deserted. She noticed the parchment on the notice board which she didn't see before she went to the Death Chamber. She just turned up.
Making her way towards one of the comfy chairs, Estelle dropped her bag on the side table and sat down on the chairs and relaxed. Scrubbing equipment had made her hands ach a little. She just placed them on her lap and looked around the empty room.
She closed her eyes for a few moments and them opened them again. She then reached for her bag and drew out a book and started to read.

Yusuke wandered into the break room, hands in the deep pockets of his trenchcoat. He looked around, spotting a few of the fellow department people. It was pretty quiet on the whole floor...then again it was the department of mysteries.
He yawned a bit. He and his fellow brain roomers had preformed their task, but their boss was...well anywhere really. Hogwarts...another floor...who knew. This caused him to remember Clara Belle and her probing... ugh... she might come back.
"So, what's everyone up to?" he smiled and said in his cheery tone.
