Construction may have just finished days ago, but you'd never know it by the way the newly converted courtroom-to-auditorium looked - so finished, so polished and so ready for its sole purpose - the opening ceremonies of the International Wizarding Conference. With introductions of each visiting country's Minister to be made, performances and foods to celebrate the world's leaders gathered here, and the British Ministry's very own Minister to open up the summit, a new venue needed to be constructed to allow for such events.

From the doors through which all enter, the seats cascade downward, all facing the most important area of any auditorium - the stage. A stage upon which will sit ten of the most formidable and respected leaders of the Magical World. A stage which will feature a number of speeches and performances unlike any other.

At the center of the center aisle is a round clearing, which will house the wand torch statue that represents the magic and power of a conference of this kind.

Set-up of decorations is just finishing up and shortly the opening ceremonies will commence!

Violet walked into the auditorium. She wasn't surprised to see that it was full. Her violet eyes scanned the room for familiar faces, and she hesitated, unsure of what to do. It was going to be interesting to meet the foreign ministers.

Annamaria looked around the room a bit nervously, her eyes moving over the crowd, looking for a familiar face. She was wearing new dress robes made out of slightly floaty material, but the color, a darker greenish blue, made them a bit more grown up. She felt quite confident in them, like she had finally come into her own. She scanned the room again and she spotted Jake, whom looked dressed to impress, most definitely. She almost didn't recognize him, he was so much more...debonair than usual. Not that he wasn't usually...but, well...and here she was, getting ahead of herself.

She began making her way over to him, trying to catch his eye across the room as she stopped every so often to say hello to someone else or smile confidently at a Minister or two.

There's never a dull moment with Nicoli and Forrester.” he smirked and shook his head slightly. “I've never worked in such a chaotic atmosphere before.” And that was saying something coming from the man who lived his life buried under his own (organised) chaos. “We went from cyphering codes, to using a pensieve, to patrolling the ministry for this.” he gestured around. “And I don't think any of it got finished.” Some of it hadn't even got started. He sighed. It got frustrating at times but he knew it was no one in particulars fault. “What about you? The Ministry's looking spotless I have to say.”

Nathan grinned when he heard the Chinese Minister. That was a question he had been wanting to ask himself along with 'Where firewhiskey?'

She smiled at him as he kissed her cheek. She could feel the greasy film and she as glad when he wiped it off. "Well I want to see you eat fried chicken." She said with a wink. She would watch him clean a bathroom, well she would watch from a distance anyways. He was looking handsome as ever. She had tried to tame his hair for him this morning but it was a exercise of futility, but at least it fell over his eye the way she loved. "Thank you Nathan, you are looking very fine today as well." She commented as she smoothed out a wrinkle in his lapel. "Yes it arrived this morning. I didn't even ask them for it. A owl fly into the kitchen with a box and this was in it." She told her gesturing at the robes. She loved them though. They were in her favorite colors.

She looked around they didn't clean on Level 10, but the rest of the Ministry was spotless. "Yes my team outdid themselves and I am very proud of them." She had never seen the place looking as clean. Not that the woman who had her job before Egypt did didn't do a good job. This was just Egypt's first real task as department head and she had come out on top. "Well you know Forrester. The man's brain and mouth move at 100 meters a minute. Its a wondered he hasn't burnt out by now." She hadn't met Nicoli but the one time at the wedding, but he seemed a pretty ok man. "Well you have to work in some sort of chaos. Criminals don't exactly work on a time table or in a ordered fashion. So you guys have to be adaptable to catch them." She missed some of that action being on Level 2, but she was calmer and happier without being a judge.

Ah, the problem with doing everything at once: they seem to interfere with each other. And grading papers had caused him to be 'fashionably' late to the conference. He walked around and looked about at the individuals there, wondering what they each had on their minds. He, himself, kept everything hidden that he possibly could, from thoughts to fate.

The twenty-six year old woman took a deep breathe. She was finally there. After hours of indecision and changed her dress at least ten times, she was ready. In the end, she had decided to come with a long black dress, long earings and her beautiful blonde hair was brushed carefully.
She looked around, not noticing a known face.

She didn't notice him until he was right next to her. She was pleased to see they were at the same height, even thought she was wearing heels. Lucy was tall, she didn't need to wear heels but it fit perfectly with dress.
Her greyish-blue eyes studied him before speak. He wasn't bad. Not bad at all, she thought.
"You." she said, greeting him politely. "Hello."
She was being the perfect Minitry worker again.

Lucy wanted to impress tonight and not just by her looks.

It was easy to find Reagan, she was sit down in a chair positioned behind Minister's Cooper's chair.
Angelina approached her superior with a smile, there was people walking into the room constantly, the conference would begin soon.
Reagan was surrounded by people, the young woman smiled politely at everyone that was around her boss before talking directly to her. “I think the room is impeccable. she said with a smile, well , it was. Many people had worked hard in that room’s decoration, and then added:“ If you need anything , just let me know. ”
Well, Angelina was positively sure Reagan already knew that.

Rico had just picked up a cup of chicha morada and just taken the first sweet sip when lo and behold, his favorite coffee-lover popped up by the undersecretary. And clearly, she was impressed by the decorations too.

"Miss Gilmore, it's a pleasure to see you again," he said cordially, smiling to see her. Boy she looks nice all dressed up....

"Everything - and everyone - looks great. Your department did a wonderful job." Rico had to say it again, since he knew that Angelina had had a big role in setting up the ceremonies. Er, that's at least what she said back at the pub....

She paused and added. "You're not bad yourself." well, she could appreaciate, couldn't she? Although she knew something between them... would never happen.

Yoshi Ishikawa Minister of Magic for Japan, had managed to step into the room unnoticed, which was quite a feat for a man carrying a sword and swathed in expensive silk. He approached the seat that had obviously been set aside for him and sat down, eyeing the food on display and deciding a tisane would be the first thing he'd take. Not that the English were nearly as good at making tea as they thought, but it would have to do.

The tour had been odd and Yoshi had remained in the lift for most of it and let himself be entertained by the Chinese minister for the remainder. He hoped the entertainment would make up for it.

Cassie waited and watched as the Japanese minister took his seat. She raised an eyebrow, wondering how he had came into the room without her realizing. She shook her head and walked on over to him. "Prime Minister Ishikawa. I'm Cassandra Carter, your guard for the evening." She said and bowed to the minister.

Lucy smiled back at Annamari, a warm smile, it had nothing to do hy th way she had spoke to Jake. This was a... friendly smile.

Warren's smile was rather strained at the ministers enthusiasm and grew more so as she pulled him close to her. He tried to shift away from her but the woman pulled him closer. He glanced around the room in desperation looking for Alexa, Cassandra or even Forrester to help him a bit. Not seeing anyone he managed to slip his arm out and bent down pretending to tie his shoe. What is this, Forrester's idea of a joke? I'm not sure I can stay here all blighted day with her. He stood back up, making sure there was a few feet between him and the minister. His gaze constantly passed over the room as he stayed within earshot of the minister and kept his hand in his pocket fiddling with his wand.

Annamaria looked over her shoulder as Jake led Lucy away, and she was surprised to feel anything at all as she watched them, seeing as how she barely knew him, but even she had to admit to herself that she felt slightly envious and rejected. She shook her head a bit and let out a breath. " Well, nothing ventured nothing gained," She said to herself as she left the tables to go find a seat, and hopefully anyone else she knew.
