Construction may have just finished days ago, but you'd never know it by the way the newly converted courtroom-to-auditorium looked - so finished, so polished and so ready for its sole purpose - the opening ceremonies of the International Wizarding Conference. With introductions of each visiting country's Minister to be made, performances and foods to celebrate the world's leaders gathered here, and the British Ministry's very own Minister to open up the summit, a new venue needed to be constructed to allow for such events.
From the doors through which all enter, the seats cascade downward, all facing the most important area of any auditorium - the stage. A stage upon which will sit ten of the most formidable and respected leaders of the Magical World. A stage which will feature a number of speeches and performances unlike any other.
At the center of the center aisle is a round clearing, which will house the wand torch statue that represents the magic and power of a conference of this kind.
Set-up of decorations is just finishing up and shortly the opening ceremonies will commence! |

He opened his mouth to ask if it was Reagan who was going to be doing the attacking but thought better of it, preferring not to risk looking even dimmer than he already looked. “I'm sure the Aurors will not let that happen.” He said in what he hoped was a reassuring tone.
His eyes darted back towards the stage as Egypt yelled his name. He was relieved when she came over and thought she was going to rescue him from this rather awkward situation. But no, he was still clueless as to what was going on. He merely nodded at her instructions, not having time to respond properly before she darted out of the room. For such a small woman, she was quick on her feet when she wanted to be. He looked back at Angelina and Rico. “You heard the woman.” he said as he put on his professional face and voice. “If you could just make your way quietly and calmly back to your department.” He gave Angelina and apologetic look and gestured towards the door. Yeah sure, confidence in the Aurors, that's what we all rely on, Rico thought sarcastically. He didn't reply out loud though, and merely shook his head at the man.
So they had to move out....yep, he'd already lost sight of Pablo in the crowded, frantic room. But at least he still had Ang with him... Quote:

Reagan was her boss and that was her job.
Her eyes hadn’t moved away from Rico, so she observed him ,edging out of their row of seats and then turning back to look at her, without making a move.
Though, she mechanically walked towards the man with dark eyes that had sparkling gold flecks on it, when he gestured his hand for her to join him.
He should go, not she.
Even if she wanted, she couldn't.
Well, she could, she just didn't ... absolutely wanted to. “You better head outside .. she spoke, slowly taking hold of the hand that he had been gesturing, for him to stop doing it. Though, she immediately regretted and let it go before adding with a slight professional smile “..and take your friends with you. I’m sure you have noticed how things are going in the stage.. I must go up there. And she should go fast before the people that were on it started leaving it. “I will meet you outside. ”
At least she hopped she would.
She quickly turned around and made her way through the crowd of people that were trying to leave the room, up to the stage.
But before she stepped onto the stage, she took a quick glance at Rico..and his friends, just to make sure they were leaving , of course.
She honestly just wanted that chaotic day to end. ....or so he thought. For one second, Rico's held Angelina's hand in his and all was good. Time seemed to come to a standstill as she inched closer to him.....
and then she broke away. He couldn't help but let out a little sigh of frustration for the chaos all around them. Half an hour ago they were sitting peacefully and laughing about the Billywig Ballet. Now....now all was mass confusion.
Rico tried to smile a little at Angelina as he made eye contact with her on the stage, nodding to show her that they'd meet up later; then he spun around sharply and started weaving through the crowd, eager for a bit of fresh air away from this messed-up Conference.

An unregistered portkey. The last thing Lorraine expected to be used at a conference, especially with all the Transportation Employees present. Turning around on the spot towards Melanie and Angelica, Lorraine's hazel eyes were widened with shock. "Angelica. Melanie. Just head off if this level now and back to level six, I'll be there shortly," she told them, as she now had to discuss with Blaze first, who knew more about portkeys than she did, as her specialty lay in apparition detection. Oh, good, Lorraine had noticed her and Angelica's shouting. Hopefully she would know what to do now. Glancing to her left Melanie made sure that both Angelica and Jack were still with her and that they hadn't lost each other. Phew. At least something was working out the way it should unlike the whole International Wizarding Conference which had actually started off pretty nice but now it was just creepy.
Seeing Lorraine's alarmed expression Melanie immediately started feeling anxious. What was wrong? Apart from the fact that some weird woman had threatened the Minister's wife and all but it seemed that her boss was shocked by something else as well. Nodding once at Lorraine to tell her that she'd understood her order Melanie's attention turned back towards Jack and Angelica. Her blue eyes were still full of worry and anxiety as she said, "Okay, let's get going then. Off to the 6th floor." Hopefully everything was going to be alright again.

Lizeth looked around. There were a lot of people. She didn't see anyone she recognized so she kept to herself, sipping on a glass of water and watching the stage.

I suppose I'll never understand them." She paused for a moment, "Do you have one?" "Sounds to me like you need a good sleeping draught. I've only been talking to you for a short while and already you seem to be a bit sleep deprived." 'Poor thing.'
Frida gave an evil grin and made a rather dramatic motion as she dropped a piece of parchment onto the floor, "Oops..." She said as she grinned and reached over to get it. "Just don't clobber me for that alright?" Frida told him as she laughed slightly, "Couldn't help myself. But yeah, I have a few peeves. People who are always late, unorganization, procrastinators, unreliable, selfish, egotistical, chatterbox..." She caught herself before she went into a rant. "Sorry, um, I get a bit peeved at a lot of things. Oh! And I hate when people chew with their mouth open, blah." She couldn't help but laugh a bit as she finished.
Frida smirked, "What class did she teach? I hope it wasn't one of my favorite classes, that means I might have to feel bad...maybe."
She blushed a little as well, "Um, erm, sorry. I get a little ahead of myself sometimes." Frida giggled nervously. "Not like you haven't been kissed before anyway so...yeah."
Frida glanced around the crowded room, and towards the opposite wall. 'What on Earth is going on?' She wondered, not being able to see nor hear anything. "I really should have you visit my house now. Thestrals are a bit...odd, but they are pretty sweet. Although I haven't gotten too close to them, they don't seem very dangerous at all. More like large, black, skinny horses with wings." She listened as Blaze made a final statement. "One of your best friends drowned? I'm so sorry to hear that." 'I haven't had friends since school really.'
He laughed "It is quite unsafe really" He smiled "I have one somewhere.. I dont actually know where I left it. I see no reason to have a phone to contact my dad when he's Pureblood. it just makes no sense." He laughed, wondering why his dad had even bothered to keep it.
He smiled "Sleep hates me. I'm used to it. If I have enough sugar people think I slept because I act like I'm more awake for a few hours!" He laughed "A sleeping draught sounds good. Or maybe a bat of some sort to knock myself out with.. That could work too.." He smiled
He laughed "I cant help hating the sight of paper on the floor. Maybe I'm a little obsessive?" He laughed again "It sounds like she dislikes quite a few things! At least I wasnt on that list, even if I can be a little late if I'm low on coffee!" He smiled to himself again "People chewing with their mouth open annoys me as well. It's like they can't control themselves at all.." He wondered how they could actually manage not to shut their mouths. He had always found it a little strange. "She taught History of Magic. And she made it really boring as well." He laughed "Well minus the great fire of her robes anyway. That was just plain funny." He laughed, realising he probably sounded big-headed when he had said that "It was only funny because she didnt notice for so long though.. Not just because I did it.."
He smiled and nodded "Well no, I have been kissed before.." He smiled again "Just not normally at work" He also glanced around the room and wondered when something was actually going to happen. Not that he minded of course. If it meant he could talk to her, he was fine with waiting.
He smiled and nodded "They sound like amazing creatures. It'd be great to see them some time" He smiled. The smile then turned into a sadder smile "It's hard having to watch someone you care about leaving like that. But then I suppose it's good that he didnt suffer for long." He smiled again "And there's always new friends to be made as well. And new memories to be made to go alongside the old ones." |

Frida stared at him, "You would hit yourself over the head with a bat? Maybe you are a bit, um, crazy..." She smirked a little bit before reaching into her inner pocket, pulling out a very small case. "Here," She said as she held out a tiny vial, "It's enough for one nights' sleep, enjoy." "You're not overly obsessive compulsive at all. I like to keep everything in my house in a fairly straight line, not to mention keep everything in files, alphabetically of course." She stopped for a moment, 'Whoops, I am crazy.' "Well, now I know what to get you for Christmas, a big pot of coffee with tons of sugar." Frida couldn't help but laugh, she would be the Ministry's secret Santa soon enough unless she stopped giving out gifts. "Eww, that class wasn't one of my favorites either. *Yawn* I get tired thinking about it." Frida said as she took a sip of water. "That must have been odd having someone on fire and not one other person mentioning it." 'You think somebody would for the sake of safety...'
She continued to blush, now a violent red color. "Yeah, that wasn't the most brilliant idea I've had all day." Frida said as she realized something, 'Oh gosh!' "Sorry! I hadn't even considered the fact that you might have been seeing someone." She slumped down into her seat, hoping it wasn't true, but keeping an eye out for any crazed woman on the horizon.
"Yes, it is rather sad." Frida continued in her slumped over state, "I guess the best thing to keep in mind is that their deaths weren't long drawn out and painful. And yes, lots of new memories hopefully to keep the old ones alive as well, and to keep them company."
