Nicoli spun around as Aaron ended up face first in a shelf. He chuckled. He couldn't help it, and after all, he was supposed to be playing close mates with the man right? "You alright, mate?" he asked grinning at him while waiting for his change. This was perfect. This took out everyone, including him, hopefully. Nicoli decided to wait for the shopkeeper to react before shuffling over to Aaron, still grinning like an idiot. This was the old man's chance! Nicoli mentally forced the inevitable to happen. Though, of course...this old man could just be a man that happens to become greedy. The money on the counter didn't help in making sure it was the person they were looking for.

Taffy Duke smiled and quickly made change for the man, handing it to him. "That's all right, dearie." she said, smiling politely despite being exhausted. " 'ere you go. Thank you and we'll see you 'ere again soon, I 'ope."



Gonoph raised an eyebrow and nodded once, polite but silent. That seemed odd, a co-worker that encourages you to go to a candy store... But he said nothing.



"Indeed." Gonoph said, his eyes glancing to follow the couple momentarily before returning his attention to the store counter and everything on it... everything except the money that is. His eyes were purposely avoiding the stacks of galleons, sickles and knuts, as though he were allergic to such things.

What the ruddy hell? Taffy thought, groaning. Pepper Imps were jumping about left and right; candy spilled everywhere! She quickly rushed over to the aisle, wand drawn, and cast a charm to clean up the mess. "Merlin's pants! Are you alright, dearie?" she asked the customer. What a mess.

Gonoph watched the mess spill out all over the floor, expressionless.

Gonoph set his chocolate frog down on the counter as though he changed his mind. "I'll come back tomorrow; I can see you've enough to manage, dear lady. " He nodded once to bid her adieu and headed out of the shop, his right hand never leaving the pocket of his robes. Just before he stepped out of the shop, his back still turned to the counter, he let go of the galleon he had been holding in his pocket and grasped the wand in the pocket instead. He cast a quick, silent charm, his right hand twitching once in his pocket. He then stepped out into the street.

The galleons on the counter suddenly vanished.

Siobhan heard a bit of a commotion from inside and for a moment, she was sure that something was going down. She decided to wait for some kind of order though so she settled for raising an eyebrow at Chris to see what he thought. Arrests had to be done cautiously until one was sure they had the right person. After that, all mercy was gone. At least, that’s how she’d been taught. She was thrown off, however, as the man they suspected stepped out of the store. He didn’t appear to be in a rush nor did he look like he’d suffered any kind of arrest attempts in there. She wasn’t really sure what to do so she discreetly aimed a non-verbal tracking spell at him. It wasn’t strong, but it would do, if it even hit him, that is. She was still having trouble hitting targets with non-verbal spells.

Stepping outside Honeydukes candy store, Gonoph Corsair saw the individuals who had previously been inside the store. He gave them a casual nod and a polite smile as he passed them. He continued down the main street, unhurried-- just another gentleman out for an evening stroll. Ah, the evening air feels good... he thought. Nothing made him feel better than a job well done, and tonight had been very successful. He doubted the shopkeeper had even noticed yet, with all the commotion the other customers had been causing. I should have offered them a tip for being so helpful, he thought to himself with an old man's gleeful chuckle.

Nicoli's suspicions were aroused once again. With his change and odd sweets laid forgotten on the counter he thought it odd for the old man to come in to buy just one chocolate frog and then decide it wasn't worth it. His eyes followed the man as he bent over pretending to help Aaron. There just wasn't something right here.

As the man left the shop, Nicoli stood up straight, his hand held out for Aaron to take as he continued to watch the man. Had he really not taken them? Nicoli glanced at the counter, then again. It was the old man! It was! "He took the bait!" Nicoli said in urgent tones to Aaron, all covert illusions abandoned. "Let's go!" With that he walked swiftly out the door.

Once he was outside he told the other two in hushed tones what happened. "It was the old man, come on. It's time to capture him." Nicoli then proceeded to use a Disillusionment Charm and began stalking the old man, his wand now gripped tightly in his right hand.

Aaron quickly got up and apolgised again to the shop keeper then quickly left the shop with Nicoli. Following Nicoli's lead Aaron again cast the Disillusionment Charm on himself and followed the thief, his hand gripped tightly around his wand, feeling not as embarrassed as 5 minutes earlier

Siobhan nodded at what Nicoli had just told her. She followed his and Aaron's lead and disillusioned herself, wand at the ready. She walked as fast as she could until she caught up to him. "I shot a tracking spell at him, but I don't know if it hit", she hissed. She wondered what the plan was. Why were they disillusioning themselves anyway? If it were up to her, she would have just knocked him out. Ah well. She would find out soon enough, it seemed.

Gonoph Corsair picked up his pace, his brisk walk and straight posture in sharp contrast to his appearance as a very old man. He couldn't help gloating inwardly as the sack of galleons in his robes jingled a bit. This job had been the most profitable by far-- who would have thought that robbing a candy store would be so easy? Like taking candy from a baby...or rather galleons from an old lady. he thought, chuckling. He found himself hurrying to get to the Hogs Head's and into the loo... It wouldn't do to have the polyjuice potion wear off in the middle of the street, now would it? Especially as I'd be instantly identifiable... he thought. Best to keep his cover.

As he continued to hurry, he passed a shop selling nostrums and potions. He glanced in, his old man's visage creating a ghostly reflection in the glass, and saw an old advertisement for his own failed concoction. The poster read, "Coarse hair? Try Corsair's Hair Potion!" He narrowed his eyes as he looked at his true image smiling back from the poster, his own sleek black hair shining and bouncing in the magical photograph. No matter how hard he tried to market it, the product was a dismal failure; the fact was that it wasn't very good and had even become something of a joke. He had become something of a joke, too. Unable to compete with the longtime makers of Sleekeazy's Hair Potion, he had been bankrupted... losing everything- his family fortune, his hair salon, his house... he even lost his wife in the process. The life of a pauper wasn't for her, she had claimed the day she left. He sighed, remembering.

That's all in the past. With a little luck, it'll only take a few more thefts and my fortune will be restored... and Johanna will come home to me. He thought, a glimmer of hope awakening in his heart. He gave the Hair Potion poster one last look and glanced behind him... no one was there in the street. Good. He had gotten away with it once again. He continued to make his way toward the Hog's Head pub, resuming his brisk pace.

Chris Quickly looked puzzled at all the commotion but he to didn't make any sudden moves he just quietly returned the nod to the old man but watched him carefully as he walked away. Not a moments later Nicoli brought out the news that the old man was indeed the thief.

He silently put on his charm and followed behind the others. As he followed he noticed the man took a very keen intrest in a poster that hung up in the alley. He didn't know why but that seemed odd to him. So when the old man took stride again and was out of ears shot, Chris quickly slipped the poster under his robe where it seemed to had diappeared out of thin air.

Nicoli noticed the pause the old man made at the poster on the wall. Seeing it rip off the wall and disappear, he carried on, tracking the man. He seemed to be heading for the Hog's Head, for what reason was a mystery. He knew it was time to do something...he had to. So, throwing all caution to the wind, he shot a spell at him, hoping that he would be suspended in the air by his ankle. Nicoli was close enough for it to hit anyway, so it should.

Aaron seen Nicoli shoot a spell at the old man, it surprised him a little but if the old man was using polyjuice potion and they lost him they wouldn't of achieved much at all! Just in case Nicoli's spell missed Aaron sent his own stunning spell at the man, just to be safe.

Chris stopped in his Tracks. He saw the first two shots fired at the theif. He didn't want to many spells hitting the man at once as to where they couldn't even talked to him So he stood silently with his wand at ready waiting for th old man to make his move. It was four against one. How hard could it be?

Gonoph Corsair glanced backward as he crossed the path to the Hog's Head when he saw something out of the corner of his eye -- an odd motion, and then as though something was there, then not-there in the scene. He couldn't put his finger on what had changed down the street but suddenly he felt panicked, paranoid. Watched. He increased his pace, hurrying toward the Hog's Head. He had to get under cover before the transformation began; already his fingers were starting to have that odd bubbling sensation that always came when polyjuice was wearing off... the change would be coming soon, he had maybe 15 minutes or so...





Gonoph had the luck of the devil this day; he opened the door of the Hog's Head and entered, oblivious to the dual spells that were deflected off the back of the door. Hurrying, he headed toward the filthy loo of the pub. All he needed was to be hidden while the Polyjuice potion wore off... which was going to happen any minute now.

Siobhan watched Nicoli and Aaron shoot off spells. She almost had a conniption when both of them missed. She couldn't take it any monger. She broke off into a sprint and got to the door of the Hog's Head just as it closed. She opened it and saw the door to the loo closing. She turned and yelled, "I think he is in the bathroom, before opening the door fully this time and running towards the loo.

Gonoph Corsair heard a woman shout, "I think he is in the bathroon." No! Surely they hadn't... Had the candy store been a trap? He moved into the bathroom and stood by the sinks, wishing that he knew how to disapparate properly... He had never learned. He quickly cast a disillusionment charm, hoping that would fool the person chasing him long enough to make an escape. He stood quietly and held his breath, hoping to sneak past them or stay hidden until they had left.

Aaron ran into the seedy pub behind Siobhan, heard her yell about the toilet and headed in there, surely the man had heard her shout what if he disapparated? Aaron entered the smelly male toilets, Still under his Disillusionment Charm, It seemed empty but that didn't mean anything, He silently cast the Homenum Revelio charm and hoped it showed the man to still be in here.

Nicoli muttered a small stream of swear words before he removed the disillusionment charm he'd had on himself. He couldn't let that man get away! No! Nicoli sprinted towards the door of the bar, the thoughts of how obvious the capture would have to become. They may even get an audience, which would not be good at all.

He sighed as Siobhan burst through the door of the Hogs Head. "So be it." With those words, he sprinted to the door and into the bathroom after Siobhan, taking extreme care to not allow too much noise. He quickly shut the bathroom door, taking in the empty space of the long dirty stalls.

Nicoli did not move from the door. He had to be in here. Maybe. If he hadn't disapparated yet. What else could he have done? A charm? A invisibility cloak? "Siobhan!" he said urgently. She'd been in here before him. "Did you here anyone disapparating?" This was crucial. He hoped she would say no. She just had to.

Oblivious to Aaron's presence, Nicoli cast a non-verbal Hemenum Revelio. Maybe the man was still in there. With his back to the door, Nicoli then sent a harmless beam of light ricocheting of the walls of the bathroom. If the man was disillusioned, then the spell wouldn't be able to stand up to the bright light. They might be able to see a flaw.

Chris now ran int he hog heads after everyone. He could see all eyes on him and his mates. "Um everythings fine." He said politely "Enjoy the rest of you stay." He said with a light smile although ths crowd didn't seem all too friendly. He quietly walked over to the restroom with hus wand at ready. Itf the man was indeed still in the bathroom it was already 3 against one. He would cover from the outside. He could also keep bystanders from interfering

Drat! Gonoph thought as he heard people -- the people from the candy store? -- rush into the room. The jig was up... or was it? He felt his body finishing the polyjuice transformation, just as a man burst in and shouted "Hominum Revelio!" As their spell was cast, he cast finite on his disillusionment charm, hoping he had completed his transformation.

Gonoph Corsair turned to face those who entered the room, his old man's disguise shed in favour of a younger, handsome man's countenance. He looked at the man entering the room with his piercing blue eyes and smiled, revealing perfect, straight white teeth.

And then he noticed his hands, still bubbling and changing from that of a decrepit old man into a younger man's hands. He grabbed a towel and made a show of drying his hands on it, hoping he had been fast enough to hide his hands as they completed the transformation process. This way, perhaps it'll look as though I've just used the facilities anyway. At least my face has finished changing, that's something. he thought hopefully as another man burst in and cast the same revealing spell, flashing a light around the room.

With a toss of his bouncy, polished black mane he addressed the gentleman, a carefully curious expression on his face. "May I help you with something?"

As it turned out Aaron was standing right next to the man! Being brought up around potion obsessed parents Aaron knew the bubbling effect on the man's hands could only mean one thing before removing his disillusionment charm Aaron pointed his wand right at this young man and shouted "Expelliarmus", then he removed his disillusionment charm and yelled out to the others of what he has seen.

Corsair felt his wand fly out of his pocket and gasped as though utterly perplexed. In his clipped Britian accent he exclaimed, "I say! Whatever do you think you are doing? HELP! I've been attacked! ROBBERY! HELP!" he shouted, hoping someone in the pub would come in, and at least provide a distraction so he could escape. This was not good, not good at all.

Before Siobhan could even answer, everything blew up. She saw Aaron cast a spell and heard the old...well, now young man screaming for help. Ugh. How abhorrent. Who did he think he was fooling? "Silencio", she said, aiming directly at him. Goodness, she hoped it hit. It was close range after all and the screaming was irking her to no end. "Stop pretending to be an even bigger moron than you already are. We know its you", she said venomously before lifting the silencio. Technically, she wasn't even sure it had hit, but she just wanted him quiet long enough to listen to what she had to say. She didn't want to elaborate because if this man made any notion that he knew what she was talking about, he would be busted beyond repair.

Gonoph Corsair was still yelling when a woman entered the loo. "Help! ROBBERY! I'M BEI-" He moved his mouth but no sound came out - not a peep. Oh, he was in trouble... I'll never get Johanna back if I've been to Azkaban! he thought, panicked... His social climber of an estranged wife would never stand for it. Wandless and voiceless, he did what any trapped rat would do-- he bolted for the door, hoping to slam into the woman and make a break for it.

Aaron seen the rat try to run off and sent a stunning spell at him, he wasn't going to get away.

Corsair bolted through the doorway, rudely pushing the woman out of his way when he was hit by a stunning spell. Dammit! he thought as he felt his muscles lock and freeze. His only hope now was that he could talk his way out of things once renervated.
