A soft, plump sofa rests against the right side, and to your left, three overflowing bookshelves line the wall. Directly in front of you is a polished, new wooden desk. After looking around, you notice Elijah isn't in the room. What to do? | |

"No, but I greatly appreciate all of your help..." his sentence wandered off as there was a knock on the door. He'd almost considered taking the woman up on her offer, but thought better of it. The vial was definitely something he should deliver by himself.
"Come in," he called, knowing at once who it was. Eagerly he sat forward. "Stay put, Irene," he nodded. "I want you to meet someone."

He stood up and crossed the room to greet her. "It's very nice to meet you, Vivienne. I'm very excited you'll be joining us to work in the Department of Mysteries." In fact, this wasn't a lie; so many of their divisions were starting to need even more attention. "The Minister sent you to me with very high qualifications and nothing but praise."
With this, he turned and nodded towards the other woman in the office. "This is Irene Ryans, one of the other Division Heads. I expect the two of you will be working closely together in the future."

"It is," he nodded, thinking. "It isn't a common occurrence. And now, Vivienne, I hate to leave you so soon, but you caught me on my way out to see the Minister. If you want, Irene here can show you how to get to your Division and give you a tour around our Department."
He waved a hand in her direction, and hoped she'd want to do it. He needed to get the vial to the Minister immediately... who knew what it contained? His fingers itched to listen to it himself, but at the same time, he knew it wasn't his place. Slowly, he flipped it back and forth in his pocket robe. He hoped to get it to him before temptation took over.

Egypt stepped off the lifts on level nine and she shivered as the cold black granite of the whole level seemed to press down on her. She shuddered as she thought of the sort of person who wanted to work down here. She looked up and down the hall and spotted Mr. Woods officer. She quickly walked up to it and knocked urgently. She did not want to be down her longer than she had to be. She looked back to make sure the man was still behind her.

The woman seemed rather unnerved by the whole concept of level nine - he eyes were shifting about, and she appeared to be extremely uncomfortable. Elijah laughed a little to himself... all of the scary stuff was locked away, but she need not know that. "So can you tell me, Mr... er... seer. How did you come to be here?"

Part of him was curious - why would this be so important that another Department Head had to come all the way to the lower floors of the Ministry, just to deliver this man? The other side of him was anxious to end their meeting and leave, to see what the Minister thought of the vial. His curiosity was, simply, tearing him in two different directions.

"Mr. Mitterbill, why don't I lead you somewhere a little more comfortable? We can discuss this there." He nodded toward Mrs. Greenwood. "Thank you very much for bringing this to me, and in such a timely manner. I appreciate your help."
He stood and walked toward the door, opening it so she could leave. He waved for the man to follow, planning on taking him to the Hall of Prophecy for further interrogation.

He gave up the search for more vials, and pulled out his wand. Waving it once, the books he had thrown across the room zoomed back into their places.
