A paper airplane flew into the room and landed on Jacob's desk.

Jacob returned to his Division after a brief meeting with Evaline. It was nice to finally get to know his boss, nice to be able to say he knew her.

Returning to his cubicle, Jacob sat in his levitating chair and twirled around, admiring his homey space one last time before packing everything up for the move to his new office. He placed his briefcase, magically enlarged to fit all his office supplies and then some, on the levitating chair and guided the objects with his wand. He soon reached the office at the back; it had a door and windows looking out onto the room before it. Jacob opened the door to reveal a decently sized room with a nice wooden desk and two large filing cabinets. First things first: light. The shades covering the windows were opened with a wave of his wand, instantly lighting up the space and giving it a more comfortable feel. Those shades would stay open unless a situation dictated otherwise. Jacob moved the filing cabinets to the back wall, leaving the rest of the wall open for pinning up anything relating to an assignment. A copy of the report for Evaline was neatly pinned up.

Next he moved to the desk. It had several drawers, perfect to organize his spare paper, notebooks, inks, and quills of all caliber. The red tortoiseshell shaded lamp went to the left of the desk, although Jacob knew better lighting would be necessary. The cherry wood box with his best writing materials went to the other corner, and his small radio nearby. The two pictures, of Jonathan and his family in Greece, and the one of his family in London, were placed clearly on the left. A list of the entire Department’s staff went into an easily accessible drawer, along with the old one he had had pinned up in his cubicle. The wall to the left of his desk was decorated with his old Nile poster, a poster of Big Ben, and a poster of a Grecian island town. His new nameplate, a gift from his brother’s family, was placed at the very top of the desk to greet visitors. The cherry wood elongated pyramid carved with Jacob S. Webster was the only superiority he would allow himself. In all other cases, Jacob would try as hard as possible to act like a regular employee, albeit one with a bit more authority.

Just then, an interdepartmental memo flew through the open door and landed on his desk. He read it, neatly scrawled a quick reply, and sent it on his way before swiveling in his seat for a moment to relax. He had a few minutes before his employees should arrive.

Laura Thomas a dusky soon to be 20 year old new employee walked into the International Magical Cooperation, British division seats. She was wearing a navy blue knee length tailored skirt and white ironed buttoned down shirt with a navy blue jacket and navy blue heel shoes and had her work robes of the Ministry worn on them.she was looking every bit of a buisness employee. she walked past many cubicles and found one empty cubicle next to the last in a row. She entered and saw that her name was already placed on the desk.
She placed her bag on the chair and looked aorund the small cubicle. there was a table and a chair and one side of the wall of the cubicle was a flanel board set up with pins. The other side she had a chest of drawers. She saw on top of the chest there were few journals and magazines kept.She smiled at this small cute cubicle. Her very first office.She pulled out a photoframe from her bag which had her dad and her mum along with her in the graduation robes of Hogwarts with her certificate in her hands. All of them smiling at her now.Almost 2 years since she passed out from her beloved school.She didnt have much to set. she went and sat behind her desk and opened the top drawer and dumped some staionary articles in them. She sat down and pulled out today's Daily Prophet and started reading it.

After half an hour of reading the Daily Prophet she placed it down and looked around in her cubicle it was as good as empty.
"but it will fill up once i start working in full fledge," she said to herself.
"i think i should walk around a bit," she thought and got up and walked out of her cubicle.
As she walked by she passed a cubicle and saw someone swiveling in his chair. she giggled.
"what man in his right senses who works for such a an important department acts like a kid," she thought and shook her head but nonetheless she cleared her throat and asked
"hm...excuse me do you know where can i find Mr.Jacob Webster?"
Laura didnt know how Mr Webster looked and so she didn't have any idea either who this gentleman in this particular cubicle was.

Mid swivel, Jacob noticed a young woman walking by the open door of his office. New employee? New employee! He nearly jumped from his seat in excitement.

Just then, she asked where to find "Mr. Jacob Webster." This was a bit concerning (did he need to put his name on the door, too?), but he resisted the urge to point out the nameplate on his desk, opting instead to attribute it to first day nerves.

He rose from his levitating chair, which was now at a complete standstill. "You've found Mr. Webster, but please just call me Jacob." Jacob walked around his desk to face her and held out his hand for her to shake.

"Now...forgive me for not knowing this, but what's your name?"

Laura looked at the man who stood up and introduced himself as Mr.Webster
"damn it. i should have looked at the nameplate...i think he has one on his desk," she thought. fighting an urge to peep at his desk over his shoulder Laura gave a small smile, "i am sorry sir. i should have seen your nameplate. i am Laura Thomas, new employee under Division of British Seats" she said. Her face turned red as she shook hands with her division head.

Jacob gulped. He hadn't meant to embarrass her; she had enough to worry about, with a new job.

"Hey, don't worry about it!" he said calmly. Smiling, he added, "But no calling me sir, or I'll have to call you miss, and I like Laura much better."

"It's very, very, very good to have you working here. If you have any questions or concerns, please come talk to me."

Jacob led Laura out the door of his office, snatching his mug of Earl Grey off of his desk before leaving. "Listen, there's a Luau party hosted by the new Trading Division head. I'm about to head over now. I hope to see you there.

Jacob took out his wand and waved it, and ended up with a bunch of colorful leis in his hand. He looped one around his own neck, gave one to Laura, and hung the rest on his office doorknob. Then he swished his wand again and a note pinned itself to the door:

With a final smile and wave to Laura, Jacob headed on his way.

Laura smiled at Jacob
"ok Jacob," she said and took the colorful leis and said,"um...i will come. thank you,"
and she followed after he left....

The Luau (sadly) over, Jacob made his way back to his office. He took down the leftover leis and note before opening the door. The lei that he had worn and the note went in his briefcase to be brought home and saved. As for the leftover leis,Jacob tied them up with a thick red ribbon - they would make a nice and random gift for his niece.

Looking at the small pile of papers on his desk, Jacob sighed. Back to work. He picked up the first newspaper that detailed the current magical political problems in Greece, and settled in to his work.

Helena made her way down the Corridor like Liliana said to until she came to an office like room. Interesting work place. She thought as she made her way through the many stalls in hope to find Mr. Jacob Webster, she thought it would be best to introduce herself. As Helena walked past a man who looked like he was working hard, she doubled back and desretely read his Name plate. Mr. Jacob Webster - Devision Head. Perfect. "Exuse me. Mr Webster? Hello, I'm Helena Beaumont, A new employee here. I hope I'm not disturbing you?." she asked, as she noticed the pile of work on his desk.

Liliana walked into the division and made a beeline directly for Jacob. "I'm sorry to interupt, Jacob, but I need you in my office immediatly," she said to him, an urgent tone to her voice. She stood, trying to be as patient as she could while she waited for him to respond.

Jacob pushed the work pile a bit farther away in an effort not to scare off this new employee. "Helena Beaumont, it's wonderful to meet you. Please call me Jacob," he replied. "You're not bothering me at all. Quite the opposite in fact - I'm here to help you in any way you need. Any questions of any sort, please come see me."

He looked her over quickly - she didn't appear very settled. "If you haven't found your cubicle yet, you should go and get settled."

Liliana appeared out of nowhere. "Er...excuse me Helena," he said apolegetically to his newest employee, "it seems that I'm being summoned..."

Jacob rose quickly from his seat, snatched some blank parchment and writing supplies from his desk, and followed his boss to her office. More France issues? He hoped not.

Helena wasn't sure if she should laugh or frown at the work pile as he shifted it out of view. "Ok then, I'll remember to." she said simply then listened to him continue. My cubicle, right... how longs it gonna take for me to find it? she thought. Helena watched Liliana walk up to them and ask for Jacob. "No, No, Don't worry it's fine, I'll go and find my cubicle whilst your gone." Helena said good-day and alked off to find her cubicle.

Iridesca, one of the other Division Heads for the Department, walked quickly into the International Magical Cooperation Division quickly as to not interrupt the workers as they worked. She walked up to the wall beside the door and used a sticking charm to hang up a sign to remind the employees to VoTe! in the upcoming Minister of Magic elections. Since she was a member of the Independent Campaign Committee, her job was just encourage people to VoTe! not to encourage them to vote for one of the candidates.

The same memo flew into each room. It had been bewitched to repeat it out loud to everyone in the room, and then to anyone new that came in.

Iain moved into Jacob's division and sighed softly. He knew that there were a few new employee's in this Division, and he felt sorry for them; considering Jacob would be away for a while. He moved over to the door of Jacob's office and, after making sure it was locked, he tacked a note onto it.

As Helena made her way into work, she past Jacob's Office, and doubled back to read the note. "Hmmm.... Bless him, It can't be anything good if its urgent business can it?" she thought as she made her way to her cubicle.

she sat down and decided to open the letter she'd recieved from her youngest daughter, Iris, this morning before starting on her work. As she read through it, she couldn't believe that Iris hadn't told her about it all earlier on, and from all of the other letters that she was getting, she was begining to think that her daughter was developing some form of feelings for this Aaron boy. Helena sighed in despare as she reached the P.S. Great, she's befriended the bloody Giant Squid. Helena foldd the letter up and put it in her draw and began to read through the work on her desk.

With a wave of his wand, Jacob vanished the note from his door. It was good to be back. Making a mental note to thank Ian and Liliana for being so supportive of his sudden absence, he opened the door to his office. As he did so, he spotted the various signs urging everyone to vote... Oops. Lauren chose a lovely time to get sick. He'd just have to wish on a star for Mr. Cooper to get the job again.

With a sigh, Jacob dropped his briefcase behind his desk and dropped himself into his seat. That towering pile of international newspapers would have to searched through at home. There would be little time for them here, with the new problem to work with, overshadowing the ever present France dilemma.

Within a minute, Jacob had a new folder prepared. It was titled "International Enrollment" and contained his copy of the Beauxbatons letter. Absently, he realized he should have looked into Greece's magical school enrollments while there. Taking a large gulp of tea, he opened the most recent paper from Greece, scanning it for any news of education.

An interdepartmental memo flew into the room and landed on Jacob's desk.

"international students...interesting...it would be good to meet the members of other department too especially education department," thought Laura as she re-read the memo and noted the date and time on a sheet of paper and pinned on the corner of the flanel notice board that is there by the side. she went back to her desk and began to read the journal which was reading before...

laura looked at the other memo that came by and saw that it was a congratulatory memo for Regan Taylor
"good...wow...but how can one meet the minister of magic...its not that we will see him everyday strolling by...maybe i will congratulate him whenever i see him," she thought

Two memos at once? Jacob read the first one over carefully, adding parchment to his new folder for the meeting. As for the second...Jacob groaned. Ms. Taylor won? This was a slight cause for worry.

As bid, Jacob made copies of both notices, sending a set to each employee, posting a set on the front board, and securing the originals to his door.

"Everyone, could I have your attention please?" Jacob called out to his Division as the memos swirled into each cubicle. "These memo's outline two new developments. The first involves the recent Minister of Magic election. The second will be explained more fully at a meeting that I hope you all attend."

A few days later, Jacob was back in his office, slowly twisting back and forth in his levitating chair. With a drummer's precision, he tapped his quill on the parchment in front of him. The notes on school transfers were to his left, a new mystery novel to his right. The book was way too distracting - Jacob Banished it to a drawer with a wave of his wand. His mug of tea was in easy reach directly in the center of his desk. That was a temptation Jacob would give into - he took several long sips before he had an inspiration.

Brushing the notes aside, Jacob quickly scrawled a message on the blank parchment. A simple wand wave resulted in a paper airplane, and with a few murmured words Jacob sent it on its way.

NOW he could work. Taking a fresh parchment and his notes, Jacob detailed tentative survey ideas with his quill.

Laura walked back to her department and then into her cubicle.
"that was quite a brain storming meeting in literal sense too," thought Laura thinking about the slight argument that took place in the conference room. she sat back and relaxed and rubbed her eyes. then something struck her Katalin...

A paper airplane flew through the door and landed right on Jacob's desk.

Erik really didn't know where to go once he got to the division. He figured he should go to the Head's office and get some information. Erik went through the doors and saw rows and columns of cubicles all over the room. Erik was slightly disappointed but knew he would have to adjust. He saw the door with the name Jacob Webster on it. He head straight toward it. Paper airplanes and other appliances were flying here and there as he went. When he arrived, Erik knocked on the door like he did on Liliana's and waited for an answer.

Jacob looked up from his notes as a memo swooped in. He opened it with one hand, finishing his current idea with the other. Reading it, he smiled. Looked like he had a new friend.

Jacob opened his door with a wave of his wand, pushing what he was working on aside. "Hello," he said, taking in the sight of an unknown man. New employee? Liliana had said nothing about that, but he wouldn't complain. Jacob rose and walked around his desk, hand outstretched. "Jacob Webster, how may I help you?"

Erik took the hand and shook it. The man before him was his new boss. Wow.
"Jacob Webster, how may I help you?" he said.
"Erik P. Cedric Depown," said Erik. "I'm a new employee, and Liliana told me I was placed in this division. And, well, I really don't know where to go or start."
