Oceana walked in to the office and went up to the division's head door and pinned the important note to it



she then walked out to the next office

Brooke poked her head around into the room. "Erm..." she started. But what should she say? There was somebody in the room that she could already see from her position; Brooke entered properly.

"I'm... er... I'm newly employed..." she trailed off.

Looking up very abruptly, Winter grinned at the girl who'd just walked in. Standing up, being careful not to knock anything that was cautiously balanced on the edge of his desk, Winter made his way round to her. "... And I'm the Division head." He sort of finished for her. Holding out his hand in a very... Hem... Open manner, he introduced himself in a way only he could. "I'm Winter. Like the season."

Brooke smiled, quite relieved for some reason. She shook his hand and smiled. "My name is Brooke Blackly," she introduced herself. "Hello, Winter."

As she introduced herself, Winter's eye caught a piece of paper that he'd just unearthed on his desk, that was actually trying to leap off. Forgetting totally that he still had her hand in his, he reached down and pulled the offending items back up onto the desk. Coincidently taking her with him. Mmh. The curse of the forgetful man. Letting go of her hand as if it was burning him, he turned a surprising shade of crimson. "Uhhh. Sorry about that. You might have to get used to it." He apologised, whilst trying to beat the paper into submission by putting a purple paper weight on top of it.

Brooke smiled, would that be appreciated or seem malicious. "It's no problem, honestly," she said. "I'm sure I will get used to it."

Once Winter had beaten the paper, er, down, Brooke went to her point.

"So, I thought I'd best come here," she explained. "Just to get an idea of what kind of work I will have to do, and obviously whatever I'm actually doing, if you know what I mean. Get an idea of what kind of things I'll be doing... and find out what I will be doing... and that made no sense."

Inside, Brooke seethed. She never could stop her mouth from rambling on.

Tonya walked into the Floo Network office and glanced around, "Excuse me does anyone know where I wan find Winter Casters?" she asked as she shifted her papers and brushed a blonde hair out of her eyes.

Feeling a grin spread onto his face, Winter nodded at her, "That's real awesome that you've come to me." Sometimes they went to Lorraine, which wasn't a bad thing, just sometimes he felt like she didn't think he was capable. Which actually was true sometimes. He was not capable of walking across a flat surface without falling over, and that was proven. "Weeell, we're gonna be working on creating a new type of Floo powder which doesn't have to be used IN the fireplaces!" He was very happy that this had been approved, after all, he had come up with the idea.

Turning from his newest employee, Winter gave another grin at the blonde woman who'd just walked in, and pointed to himself. "That's me." He said, a tad too hyperly for a man of twenty five.

Tonya smiled at the grinning man, "I'm Tonya Anne Springs. I'm the liason for the minister of this department." she said holding out her hand. "I'm here for an update on your division." she said shuffling her papers.

Ah.

Why were his palms suddenly all sweaty when he took her hand to shake it. Ew. That musta been nasty for her. "Okaayy... Weeell, uhum.." He looked blankly across at Brooke, then suddenly said, "It's going pretty well." That probably didn't help, at all.

Brooke kept her lips pressed firmly together in order to stop smiling. This seemed very... official. Of course it all probably was, but it just seemed especially so. Trying not to make it seem obvious, Brooke shifted on her feet to reposition herself a little further back.

Maybe this was worth listening too... she just hoped it didn't look like she was spying on her own department or anything.

Tonya smiled at Winters lack of words, "Ok, thats good to hear. But I need to know what's going on. Anything out of the ordinary or problems with anything?" she said biting back a giggle as she discretely wiped her hand on her hip.

Problems... Noo... Problems had been quite happily avoiding him which he was very happy about. "As for new ideas... Uhum.. There's a slight idea of creating a new type of Floo powder that you don't have to use in fireplaces, that you can use anywhere." Suddenly, Winter stopped. He'd sounded very professional for a moment there. Eeee! "And on the line of problems... I've had none apart from not being able to find my flat key."

Tonya smiled, "Thank you very much." she said jotting down a few notes. "Is there anything else?" she asked politely. "If not I'll be around if you think of anything." she added

"Uhumm.. No, I don't think there is." He muttered, his attention otherwise occupied for a few moments. The, pulling himself back into the room, grinned at her, "Yes, that's all... Would you like a drink..?" He lifted the invitation up and smiled again, "I hear there's a party going on."

Tonya smiled and brushed a stray hair out of her eyes, "I'll try and stop by later, I have to visit the other divisions first. It was a pleasure meeting you." she said nodding to the group before turning and walking to the door.

Raising both his eyebrows, Winter turned back to his newest employee and gave her a strange look. "Am I the only one who feels that she was a bit like a teacher?" He probably was, and it was probably very unwise to have just told the younger woman that he thought so. Reaching down to pick up his plans for the new Floo power he grinned. If this went well...

Uhum.. His grin faltered for a moment..

It went well.

Brooke smiled again. "Oh, don't worry, I'm sure people can get that impression," she reassured. Maybe it was because she was also a woman, or because she wasn't the one being addressed, but Brooke had felt comfortable enough. But she never had felt weird around teachers.

Snort. He asked her oooouut. Brooke's childish mind was singing and dancing, but she knew alot better than to comment.

"So, this Floo Powder idea seems... helpful," she commented.

Okaay. So was she agreeing with him... Or just making out that he was a total n00b when it came to inspections? HECK! He'd only been doing this for about... Eleven months.

M'kay, drop that one.

Slipping back down onto the chair, he looked back up at her. "Uhum, yees. The idea was actually mine." And being a right science geek, he'd worked out how to make it happen. Ahh, the pleasures of having a father like his. Shame he went mad at eighteen.

Brooke nodded again, "Yes, it really is quite an... interesting idea. But, probably hard to get working," she looked at the man, her division head. "I must say you'd have to be relatively... ok, real smart to get that, erm, invention? going..." What in Merlin's name are you SAYING, WOMAN?!

"So..." she let her eyes wander around the room before Brooke reminded herself she was acting like her son, Jake. "Seeing as I kinda-sorta work here now... what do I do first... where do I begin, I suppose?"

Theodore walked nervously into his new job. Gosh this was probably the more scary thing he had done in a long time, worse than the end of year exams.
He wasn't sure exactly where to go, but upon walking in he saw two people already in a conversation. What to do, should i just politely butt in?

"Erm, hi! Im Theodore Canon. I have just been appointed to work in this division. Im ment to been seeing Winter, i think."

Hopefully that wasnt to rude, he didn't want to make a bad start at his very first job.

Luna walked into the room kinda hesently "Uhh, I'm new here I just got a job. I'm Luna Stevens and I think that I need to see Winter?" Luna said nervously.

Turning instantly from his rather surreal conversation with Brooke, Winter beamed at the man who'd just walked into the room. "Hello! Hello! Very nice to meet you!" The grin was still plastered on his face. It'd been a while since he'd seen new faces in the department. "I'm Winter... Uhh, I'm not overly sure what I should be doing at the moment, but it's all good. Hello."

Someone else who was new! Eeee! Today was gonna be awesome. If he could work out what Lorraine actually wanted him to do with all these new, new people. "Luna. Hai. Yes, like I said, I'm Winter, very nice to meet you too"

Armen Recard walked into the Floo Network office and smiled to a few employees who where near by and then crossed the room to the bulletin board that held a few Ministry Announcements. He pulled out a flyer, that he was ordered to place every where on the sixth floor, and pointed his wand at it, and stuck it to the board.

This flyer had to do with the Minister of Magic Elections.

Megan walked into the room, carrying a box of stuff that was on her desk in the Portkey Office before she was sent to work here; she stopped and looked around, hmm this was much different from the way things looked in the old division that she worked in however, she would just have to adjust to working here.

She saw an empty desk and set the box down on it, beginning to set things up the way that she wanted them, which usually ended up taking several minutes. It seemed as though, she had a bit of perfectionist tendancies and couldn't be relaxed until something was absolutely perfect, those tendancies were completely evident when you saw the way she set up her desk.
