Armen trying to make up for his mistake flashed a winning smile to the woman who just spoke "i have an idea. I say on the weekends we set up classes so that the students may practice and take their tests when they need to and we can send Apparation testers, thats us, he indicated the surrounding group. "and we an supervise." H eended with a smile. He really hoped they liked his plan. |
Melanie stopped in her tracks, currently on the way to her desk to think the whole thing over since the French-guy, Armen, said something. She turned around to face him with a smile. "Yes, but, would you say these classes are obligatory or optional?" |
"well we would want them to be optional because we obviosly dont have enough personell to handle those kinds of proportions at once." |
Lorraine simply nodded in understanding when he apologized for kissing her hand; it's not like she said anything though, so that was odd. Perhaps her annoyance had shown through a little. Shrugging it off, she listened to Melanie and Armen conversing a little which pleased her to know they were already thinking. "Well the only problem with that is that classes every weekend wouldn't be very feasible, considering as you pointed out the limited personnel we have here," Lorraine explained nonchalantly. "I was envisioning something more the lines of a sign up for those sixteen and up, for those who are interested in lessons. And then only one or two lessons on how to apparate, perhaps towards the middle or end of the term." |
Giving a nod as Lorraine answered his question he should have known that was what she meant. Running a hand threw his hair he listened closely to everyone's ideas. Yawn. Bore. Yawn AND bore. "Two lessons aren't really 'lot ta teach people. Wouldn't it be easier ta have like....one each month?" He said his voice coming out it a (of course fake) interested tone. "Then they got 'lot more experience but still notta 'lot o'classes." Other than that he basically had nothing else to say. "Sixteen n'up is good." Jack muttered. Letting his grey eyes fall on his co-workers for moment he took a second he examined them.Clearly Armen was a French guy who liked to kiss random woman's hands. Or maybe he was just a suck up? Jack couldn't be too sure. And Melanie..well he didn't figure her out yet but he would soon enough. |
Micah nodded at each of their opinions. They all seemed to have energetic minds, but he felt the air turn awkward as pretty much everyone stood up. Micah stood up himself and said, "Well of course, 16 year olds who would become of age when they must take the final test?" He questioned, expecting it more to be a reminder. He cleared his throat and began to speak again. "Shall we take this to the conference room or shall I arrange some seats to make this a more...formal meeting?" He scanned the room with his observant eyes and looked back to Lorraine. |
Armen looked from Lorriane to Micah. "Well id better get back to work if there is anything i could do for you two, any errand or job call me." he gave a smile and made sure he SHOOK everyones hand this time. |
Walking into the apparition test center. Liz looks around. Interesting... Taking an application she fills it out, and begins answering the questions. Quote:

Armen saw a women with an apparation form looking nervous he walked up to her and said" Hello mam im Armen recard one of the testers here. Are you taking the test?" |
"Hello, I'm hoping to!" Liz says turning toward the gentleman that came over to talk to her. |
Well have you filled out the form" he tpook it from her and said "follow me." he took her to his office. |
Listening to what the others were saying Melanie had to work hard to not throw this Spanish-looking an annoyed look. Couldn't the guy speak properly? What was his name anyway? He hadn't introduced himself to her, had he? How very impolite and rude of him. "Yes, so shouldn't someone write down all the things we're considering? So we won't forget them again, I mean." She looked around at the other expectantly, waiting for them to do as she'd told them. After some time Melanie blushed slightly. She kept forgetting that this wasn't Hogwarts anymore and that not everyone was doing everything she wished. Without another word she quickly strode towards her desk and wrote down everything they'd talked about so far, carefully not looking at anyone as she did so. She really had to get used to her new life. |
Jack nodded at Micah and began to gaze around the office some more. Good ideas. This seemed like an interesting thing to do also. Not was interesting as working with dragons. But this worked out just fine. Grey eyes turning to the woman Jacinto had a feeling that she was staring at him. What had he done!? He had done nothing! Making enemies in the office was not something he wanted to do. As she suggested writing something down Jack was about to get a pen and paper when she had already done it. She seemed, possibly smart. "Nice idea..um Miss." Jack said to her with a slowly with a nod. If she was mad at him to some reason it was best that he got her unmad. Plus he didn't know her name so he guessed that calling her Miss was alright. |
Miss?! Melanie looked up in surprise at the voice of the Spanish-looking guy. She stared at him searching for the right thing to say until finally responding, "Uhm...thank you?" What was his name again? Oh, right, he hadn't introduced himself. No manners this guy had. Standing up with a sigh and walking towards him she said, "There's no need to call me Miss. I'm Melanie." She even smiled at him tossing back her blonde hair. "Sorry, I didn't catch your name, though." That might be because you haven't introduced yourself to me, she added in her head. |
Armen noticed some of his other coworkers who he thought were new to introducing them selves so he walked over to join them. "Hey guys Im Armen Recard." He shook both of their hands. |
It seemed like she wasn't mad at him after all. That was a relief, because he really did not want any enemies. "Melanie." Jack repeated as if he were thinking the name over. It did seem to suit her. Before talking again Jack thought over what he was going to say. Whenever he did this he was guaranteed to control his Australian accent. "Sorry, I got caught up before introducing myself. I'm Jacinto Moniz. You can call me Jack." He said as he held out his hand to shake. Jack nodded as the French guy came up to him. He still though he was a weirdo. "Armen, gotcha." |
In her confusion Melanie had even forgotten that she was supposed to be taken aback by this guy, Jack's, behaviour. I mean, he hadn't introduced himself to her at first. As he repeated her name again, she actually wanted to say something along the lines of "Yes, Melanie. Should I maybe write it down for you somewhere?", let it drop though, since she didn't want to start fighting with him. Taking his outstretched hand she listened to him and simply couldn't suppress the urge to smile at his attempts to speak without his weird accent from before. At the sound of a man's voice Melanie turned to see the French-guy who had kissed Lorraine's hand before. Well, at least he wasn't doing that to her and Jack as well, as he was introducing himself. Shaking his hand she threw Jack a look that meant "Look! He's got good manners, unlike you!", even though she wasn't mad at him anymore. She was sort of unable to be. Turning back to Armen with a smile she said, "Nice to meet you, Armen. I'm Melanie." He still was kind of weird in her eyes but she wanted to get along with everyone she was working with, so she didn't let it show. |
Jack grinned, his oh so famous grin. Looking back and froth from Melanie and Armen Jack observed them. So Melanie wasn't mad at him. That was good. Very good. Armen wasn't as...insane, as he thought. Yet he was still a weird French dude. He could see himself bothering Armen. Alot. Ohh the possibilities. "Hmm, imma like this place." Jack muttered to himself. "So, Melanie, wa..what do ya- you have writen down so far?" Gah. This was what he got for living in Australia for about six years. He used to be able to separate all his accents. Now they were just mushed together. |
Glancing at Jack from the side Melanie realized that he was obviously kind of thinking the same about this French-guy, Armen, as she was. An involuntary grin flashed across her face. She quickly pulled herself together again, though, since she didn't want Armen to see it. When Jack spoke again, she just couldn't help it. She started laughing which was very untypical behaviour for her. "Sorry, I'm so sorry, Jack." Her blue eyes searched for his grey ones to tell him that she actually was sorry for just starting laughing like that. "It's just...what kind of accent is that you have, if I might ask?" Working hard to quit laughing she straightened up again and waited for his response. |
Jacinto was confused. He was very, very confused. Rubbing the back of his head with his hand he looked at Melanie. It was naturally for Jack to be confused. But not like this. "Er...'kay." Jack muttered. Perhaps he was wrong about Melanie? Perhaps she was also a weird like Armen. "Oh!..Er.." She that's what she had been laughing about. Jack shrugged it off. He had a number of people make fun of him about it. It didn't bother him at all. "Australian. I lived in Australia for 'bout eight yea's. On 'nd off." Jack said with a nod and a smile, to show he wasn't bothered by the question. |
Seeing the confusion on Jack's face Melanie started to feel really bad about the whole thing. It had been so unlike her, though, she was still sort of confused herself. Only thinking about her bad behaviour from before gave her headaches and she was quite ashamed of herself. What was wrong with her? Maybe she should have taken her father's advice anyhow and just stayed at home. Why did she want to work in the first place? So she was going to become really rude and laugh at people for no obvious reasons? Definitely not. Melanie was quite glad that Jack wasn't mad at her or anything. Even though he should have been, he really should. Turning once again to face him, she apologized one more time. "I really am sorry about my laughing at you. I don't know what came over me. It was highly unappropriate." What was she apologizing for anyway, though? He obviously wasn't taken aback but it sort of made Mel feel better. At least a tiny little bit. "Oh, wow, Australia. That explains your accent. I have never been there although I always wanted to go." Okay, this was a lie. Since if she'd really liked to go there her father would have taken her, that's for sure. "So, how come you've been to Australia for eight years?" She was trying hard to keep up their conversation. |
Jack chuckled and then grinned. At least she was nice enough to apologize. He had finally made up his mind on if Melanie was...normal like himself or abnormal like Armen. (Okay maybe he was being a little hard on Armen) She seemed to be in the middle. He knew now that it would probably be better to work on minimizing his accent. It seemed like it was the only way for him not to be ridiculed around here. "It's a'right. Not chur fault." Nodding he was surprised. She wanted to go to Australia? With that one statement she had just been upped from the middle to the awesome role of NORMAL. "You should go. If ya' ever went tell me. I'll follow ta' show you around." Jack said with a wink. "Ohhh well. I wanted a job tha' was exciting. So I went there a year afta I finished school. 'Nd got a job working wiff dragons." AH he had forgotten. Normal non-Aussie accent. "But dragon work is highly dangerous. 'Nd somedays when your not up to it you can mess up 'nd end up dead. Got tired of that reality so I moved back here a couple months ago." This wasn't the whole truth but he wasn't going to tell her his whole life story. "Soo..is this your first job?" |
The small brunette walked quietly into the room and grabbed an application form to fill out. She felt nervous almost dizzy as she looked down at the form. There were a few other people and they all seemed to be using quills. That wasn't a good thing and that small little thing made her nervous. She had never once taking the test and now she actually want to give it a try. Her current mode of transportation was the subway. Parker Grey hung her head in embarrassment as she thought about the reason why she had put off taking the test. It all had been because she was far to busy with school to care and then when she realized she need to take the test the opportunity had passed by. Then when she had tried to take the test, her life had gotten to messy that she couldn't spare a moment to take stupid test. Looking down at the application for a moment before finally starting it. Micah entered his office after a long, nice break for lunch. Seeing many of his employees converse and bringing life to his division made him quite, quite happy. He sat down on his central desk and waved his wand to conjure a poster of his nationality to the wall on the side of his desk. He couldn't find time to do it, until now when he was actually thinking about it. Quote:
He yawned and attended to the applicant. "Hello, there Ms...--" He grabbed her application paper and observed it thoroughly. "-- Ms. Grey. How are you doing today? I am Micah Nettings, the official in-charge of the Apparition Test Center. So you're interested in taking the test? Well you're going to have to start by speaking to either Mr. Moniz over there--" He pointed to Jacinto, "-- Ms. Charington over there--"He pointed to Melanie, "--Or Mr. Recard, here--" He pointed to Armen. Micah leaned back on his seat and sighed, "Jack, Melanie, Armen, you guys ready for your first real 'assignment?'" |
Armen looked up to see Micah say his name. He was talking to a woman who looked kind of nervous she must be taking the test. He got up and walked over to them. "Hello there Im Armen Recard, are you here to take the test? I will be your tester if you dont mind Ms. . .? If so follow me to my office." |
