Division: Apparition Office The Apparition Office, a division within the Networking Section of the Department of Magical Transportation, is in charge of testing of-age witches and wizards for their abilities to apparate, an extremely useful skill that requires a license to perform. The division is also in charge of managing the usage of Apparition in and/or around Wizarding Britain. Employees of this Division should meet, discuss, and fix where needed with your Division Head, KatieTessa. Micah grinned a brilliant grin as he entered his office. He already felt at home. He took his large black leather seat and sat down. I love the ministry...he thought as he smiled to himself. There he scuffled through some paper work and waited for his employees. |
Dan who wanted his licence so he wouldn`t have to use floo powder went to the office and saw Micah "Good morning I would like to apply for a licence" |
Stacy went and saw Micah to see what needed to be done to get the ball rowling. |
Micah looked up to see a ministry employee he was unfamiliar with. He gestured his hand towards another seat. "Have a seat, Dan." He said, smiling. He noticed his employee, Stacy walk in. "Ahh, Stacy, I will be right with you. Take a seat if you would like." He said while curtly nodding. |
"Very well"said Dan getting into a chair "I want one because I`m tired of flo powder and I always have a cold after it" |
Quote:
Micah laughed in a businesslike way. "You've only listed one of many flaws while using magical transportation." Micah took out an application form. "You do understand that apparition, at first, can be very unpleasant. And that it will be very difficult to get used to. I shall explain what it is like to apparate. When apparating, a very unpleasant squeezing sensation, as though being sent through a tight rubber tube will be felt, each and every time." He smiled once again. "Since you are my very first applicant, I shall do the honors of filling out your application for you." He said, while smiling. "What is your full name, Mr...?" |
"Mr Dan Weasly father to Barry Weasly" said Dan " And I know about apparting I did a test before" |
Quote:
|
"One time " said Dan |
"Once..." Micah scribbled. "Right, Your age, Height, and weight please." He asked. |
" Ok 29, 6 foot 3, and 39kg" said Dan thinking why it was taking so long. |
Micah scribbled all the information. "You must understand Mr. Weasley, things at the ministry are different from Hogwarts. This test will truly test you." He scribbled the last of the application and looked back at Mr. Weasley. "Well, you're ready. Ms. Stacy here will explain what you must do, and shall test you soon. He nodded at Stacy. |
Viea stood at the door she seemed quite shy but smiled at Micah, she spoke softly, "Hello there. I came to vist and take my test." She grinned and laughed. "Ive never done this in my life, so Im guessing you want my details?" She questioned, she didnt pause long enough for him to answer. "My name is Viea Andrea Hinebux, I am only 24 years old, I am about 5ft 7" and weigh about 44kg which is equal to seven stone." |
Micah nodded at the youngster. He wrote down all the necessary information. "You're ready, you shall follow Mr. Weasley here." He nodded once again to Stacy. |
Viea smiled and nodded, she seemed pretty nervous. She stood with a man named Mr.Weasley, she smiled and nodded at him, but after that she didnt take her eyes of Micah. |
As the two left, he grabbed a piece of parchment and took out his quill. He slowly wrote his application as he needed new copies. Quote:
He finished writing then swiped his wand out. He waved it and suddenly, 50 or so copies were made. He grabbed them all and straightened it out. He walked to a small plastic pocket where files could be kept, by the door. He put them in and went back to his desk. He sat down and wrote a memo. Quote:
|
After a quick knock on the door, Delilah Carter stepped into the Apparition Test Center. "Mr. Nettings?" she asked the only man present. Delilah wasn't too familiar with many ministry employees other than the other Department Heads. The young woman smiled as she took a few steps forward. She was now standing right behind the chair in front of the desk the man sat at. Delilah was going to wait until she was sure he was the person she needed before taking a seat. |
Micah looked up from his paper work. "Ahh yes, Delilah Carter... I know you must not be too familiar with me, indeed I am Micah Nettings." He said as he got up to shake her hand. |
Delilah reached over and firmly shook the man's hand. She smiled briefly before moving around to the front of the chair and taking a seat. "I got your memo," she said curtly. "And I have to say, I agree with you one-hundred percent." The woman laughed quietly. "Unfortunately, there isn't much we can do about it. In Maintenance, our job is to stock the breakrooms with the coffee we are provided with by the Ministry. We don't have the ability to choose the kind of coffee we use." Delilah smiled sincerely. "Within my Department, we've resorted to bringing in our own coffee. If that isn't doable for you, I recommed creamer. It really does help." |
Hitachi nodded at her curtly. "Of course...I'd try any other alternative." He smiled at her. "I think that our business is done here? Could you send some of that coffee up here? Maybe sometime soon?" He asked, standing up. |
Stacy Emma Ross new to the Ministry. Apologized to Micah for leaving the other day.. I had a bought of the flu coming on . Nothing serious.. Luckily it was only 24 hours. I am so confused on what I need to do.. Can you help me.. |
Micah smiled at his employee. "Ahh, Stacy! There's a applicant who needs testing! Just down the hall, I shall accompany you soon." he said, looking back at the department head. |
Stacy was a bit confused. Micah which room is it that I meet you. I still need to fill out the necessary forms ooc.. ( Hitachi, I had to log off,, I work midnight -8am and needed to sleep , I'll be back tomorrow) |
Quote:
"So unfortunately, I can't bring any down for you," Delilah grimaced. Just then, another member of the Apparation Test Division came into the center. Delilah stood up from the seat she'd perched upon. "I'm sorry about this," she said, stepping back from the chair and pushing it in. "It was quite nice to meet you." |
Micah felt a little disappointed but he nodded curtly. "Until next time then..." he said with a smile. |
Quote:
With that, the woman slipped out the door. |
He nodded at the certainly attractive woman. He looked back at Stacy and gestured his hand towards the door. "I shall take you to the Apparition Test room. Follow me please." he said joyfully to her. He then headed out of office. |
Dan walked in wondering if he had got his licence or not when he saw Mich wasn`t there so he waited . |
Stacy came back this afternoon to see Micah. I am sorry for having to dash out yesterday. I am hoping to get everything taken care of today.. |
The nineteen year old, slowly and nervously walked towards the office. Lightly knocking on the door, she waited for someone to answer. Besides feeling nervous she also felt rather embarressed, since she had never turly taken the Apparition test, even thought she had taken the course leading up to the test. |
There were maybe three people at his door! he thought as he heard people walking by. "Come in Come in!" he called as he threw down his paper work, knowing he'd be distracted by all those people. |
Parker gave the older man a appolgetic smile, since she was begin to thing she was bothering. Since he appeared to very busy with others. Walking inside his office, she glance around for a moment. "I'm was wondering, well hoping actually. That I could take the Apparition test." she explained nervously. "I took the course in my seventh year but never actually took the test." she added with a small nervous smile. |
With a bit of a skip in is step, Charles bounded into the Apparition Testing Center. He loved work. Of all kinds. Seeing someone who appeared to be his new boss, he said "Charles Cedrian Cizorsky, reporting for duty sir" with a stupid grin on his face. |
"I was wondering have I passed or not" asked Dan |
Stacy noticed Dan a bit nervous if he passed or not.. I would be lucky just to be able to take the test she told him. I have been waiting for days. I am even thinking of transfering to a different department.. |
"One at a time, one at a time! Any of you who want a license must fill out the application! It is by the door. Dan, I'll be right with you. And all my employees please have seat!" Micah said, trying to make everyone hear. |
Quote:
|
Micah nodded at everyone with a smile. "Okay, we're settled now. I'm going to have to talk to you all, my employees today!" he said. |
Stacy came in for the meeting. Before sitting down I want to tell Micah I am sorry for the mix up on my end. I am looking forward to working with everyone here in the Transportation dept. |
Micah nodded at the promising employees. "I've come up with something to discuss. What would you think of a writing test instead of a physical test?" he asked them, square in the eye. |
Stacy was talking with Micah, and thought that the written test would be best. Plus we could have it on record incase for some reason you needed to refer back to it. |
Micah leaned back on his seat and rubbed his chin. He gave a look to his employee Charles and began to ask "Charles what do you think?" |
Stacy popped into the test center. Nothing seems to be going on here. We need to " drum up business". Stacy was thinking we need to show upcoming people who will be in our department that this is a fun department. So how to do this is going to be needing some thinking.. |
Quote:
"A written test... Gee, I dunno. What kind of questions would be on it? The three D's? It doesn't seem like there is much theory to test with Apparition, just practical. Obviously if an applicant doesn't understand the theory behind it, they'll fail the practical. It seems like unnecessary paperwork." Charles HATED paperwork. |
Micah smiled at his new, smart like-able employee. "You've got a good point there..." he said, smiling at him. "A written test wouldn't be so much of a good idea..." he muttered to himself. |
Lorraine decided her first stop should be the Apparition Test Center, which was by far her largest division. Upon entering the center, she smiled as she noted her Division Head Micah was talking with employees. They seemed to be having a staff meeting, of sorts. Approaching them casually, she smiled politely. "Good afternoon! I just wanted to stop by and see how things were going here." |
Micah shifted his head towards his department head that was checking in. "Ahh, Ms. Lorraine! Everything is fine here. Just discussing about how we should test people... Is everything alright with you?" Micah asked. |
"Oh?" Loraine said, raising a brow at him. "And what kinds of things have you thought about with ways to test people? Have you found a new protocol? Yes, everything seems just dandy with myself - just keeping busy and staying out of trouble." |
Micah waited a moment before he answered. "No, no not really. We've decided to stick with the old fashioned way. We agreed it'd be more easier. And good, good!" he said. |
Lorraine tapped her foot lightly, curious at the delay in his response. "Old fashioned can be good. I have an idea for a new method, but I will send you a memo with it," she replied back rather quickly. "But sadly, I must be moving on to visit the other divisions now, Micah. Enjoy your day." With those words, the tall brunette left the Apparition Center, moving onto the next division on her list. |
Micah nodded and smiled at his department head. How nice for her to stop by. "Good bye Lorraine." he said in a friendly tone, then he looked back at his employees. "Well I think you heard her, we'll be getting a memo with an idea from Lorraine, you can go to the breakroom for now if you would like. I'll be here doing some paperwork. Ask me any questions if you would like. Dismissed." he said curtly. |
Molly entered the room, nervous as never before. she walked over to a desk that looked welcoming and noticed a stack of papers with that said Apparation License Application in big bold letters. She filled it out with the following information: Date:3/23/43 Name: Molly Anne height: 5'4 weight: 105 Never taken the test!!! |
Micah learned that there was an application he hadn't read. Wow... over 100 years old and never took the test? he thought. He quickly wrote a memo and sent it to Molly's division. Quote:
|
Molly was then excited extremely, she walked, unfortunately not being able to apparate yet, and heading to the testing room! she whispered to herself "it's about time" |
"Ahem have I passed?" asked Dan |
Micah looked from his office table to Dan who had just came in. "Dan! I was just about to send you a letter but since you came personally.... I'd like to say congratulations! You've now earned a license!" Micah grinned at Dan and pulled out a large envelope. Inside it read: Quote:
|
"Finally thanks now I won`t have to use floo powder" said Dan thank you Micah I must get you a gift what would you like?" |
Micah laughed and joked, "Well coffee that doesn't taste horrible would be nice! really Dan, you've earned it fair and square. My reward is the success of teaching you!" he said. "I'm glad you won't have to use the floo network, apparate well, and remember, only apparate when you need to." he told. |
"Yes I heard all that last time but will get you something a supprise maybe bye" said Dan and he left |
Sky walked in the apparition center, her long brunette hair tied back in a loose bun. It was pretty unusual. She looked around the room, it was unusually empty. Odd. She shrugged the thought off as she sat down on one of the chairs and waited for Micah to arrive. |
Alexandra looked around the room as she sat down and filled out the form quickly, she didn't have much time before her break was up. Date: 4/11/65 Name: Alexandra Lee Age: 19 Height: 5'3 Weight:120 Have you taken the test?: No Signature here: Alexandra A. Lee |
Nathan entered the Apparition Test Centre looking sheepish. He had put this off for far too long; and he thought he better get a licence sorted out before the MLES found out he’d been apparating without one. But they had never asked him, they just assumed and he was too embarrassed to admit that at the age of twenty four, he still hadn’t bothered to take the test. When he was sixteen he had been discovered apparating before he was of age and as a result, was not allowed to take the test at the same time as everyone else. He’d also been given detention for about three months -good times… er, not. When he left school, it was just something that he kept putting off… until now. He picked up an application and clipboard and went to find a seat and filled the form out. Quote:

Micah raced back into his office and tucked his wand beneath his dark blue robes. "Sorry, there's been a little problem back at the break room." he said, thinking about that nasty enlarged roach. He passed the applicants and his employee to get to his chair. Micah smiled briefly at the three and took the application forms. He carefully analyzed them and nodded after he finished reading them. "This parchment and quill is magically enhanced so that if you are lying, it will detect it. Since I see nothing wrong, you are both accepted to take the test!" he paused for a while and turned to his employee. "Ahh Sky. Would you please escort these two, when and if they are ready, to the Apparition Test Room?" he asked. He smiled merrily at the three and stood to his feet. "I shall accompany you since I have not see you test anybody yet, just procedures you know." he added. |

Rebecca walked into the room and filled out the slip on the table Quote:

He looked over at the other woman as Micah address her. Great, they were going to have an audience… just what he needed to boost his confidence… not. He stood up at the same time as the woman, “I’m ready.” He replied, “Lead the way, love.” |
Quote:
"Yes, I'm ready." She said as she stood up with her, tucking a strand of jet black hair behind her ear. |
Molly walked in and sat down, she waited impatiently to be tested. Molly was excited, she had been embarrassed being part of the ministry and not being able to apparate, after all these years she had used floo powder, and many times failed with something even as simple as that. Floo powder had led her to many bad memories. she often ended up in muggle houses that were connected to the floo network for ministry purposes. but now, she would hopefully pass the test after only a few tries, and she could be awarded with an official license. Molly thought to herself of all the tests i've taken, i'm the least nervous for this one because it doesn't affect aschool grade! |
As two other applicants walked in, he held out his hand and smiled to Sky. "Well off you go! I'll be with you shortly. And Molly, please follow these three." he said while pointing at the three who were about to leave. He nodded and took the application paper to analyze it. Moments later, he nodded again and smiled. "Rebecca, please follow me." he said while walking slowly out the test room. |

Alexandra got up as she was called into the room, hopefully she wouldn't be too nervous. |
Rhiannon walked into the test center, slightly nervous about taking the test. Even though she felt like she'd be able to do well. Going over to the desk, she picked up an application and filled it out. Quote:

"Excuse me!" Cassandra said moving around the Ravenpuff and taking an Application Quote:
ooc: I took away the date, I'm assuming it'd be Trel's birthday, late june, but if I wait till the actual date it'll be too late. |
Micah walked back into his office from the testing room and saw that there were two more people. They were very young indeed. "Oh hello there. Fresh from Hogwarts?" he asked conversationally. He took their applications and surveyed them. |

Glancing over, she saw Cassandra poring over a pamphlet. Is she that nervous?, she thought. In her own mind, she just kept telling herself that she was going to be able to do this. It really didn't seem much worse than when she had to try something new in one of her classes, and she generally did pretty well there. |
"Very well, very well." Micah said after a minute or so. He got up and held this applications in his hand. "Due to the lack of Test Coordinators, and because I have nothing else to do, I shall test you both. Please follow me." He walked slowly outside his office and waited for the two. |

She waited for the man to tell them how the test was going to take place. |
"Right, we're going to the Apparition Test Room. There you will gradually practice until you've got the hang of it. You will not be able to get your license in a day. If you want, you can head over to the apparition practice room to practice by yourself. In the test room, I will observe you both and you will attempt to apparate. When I feel it is the right time, you both will be taking the real test. Understood?" |
Molly nodded hesitantly to micah's instructions. |
Nathan was standing there feeling like a right divvy wondering what in Merlin's beard he was supposed to be doing. He watched a couple of girls come and go who he supposed were students from Hogwarts. How humiliating, having to take the test at the same time as a couple of school kids. Nathan could apparate blindfolded with his hands tied behind his back, but he didn't cope well under pressure, he wasn’t so sure he would be able to do it. It would be just his luck to fail in front of a couple of schoolgirls. |
"here i go" she whispered to herself. Then molly noticed the others heard so she apologized |
Two weeks after the debacle with the house elf almost drowning her, Rhiannon showed up again at the Ministry to take her Apparition test. Looking around, she didn't see anyone else there. "Must be early," she quietly said to herself, as she took a seat to wait. She had figured this would be the most logical place to show up, so she had. She wondered if Cassandra was going to show. |
Cassandra came into the testing center, she was annoyed to have to see the man that she was going to test with. She sighed as she saw the Ravenclaw. She gave her a nod and greeted her, "Todd." |
Quote:
|
Micah walked in his own office and almost stopped dead when he saw Cassandra there. "Heh... is it really the time to..." he looked left nervously and bit his lip, "Right come with me!" OOC: You needn't to come to Micah's office. Just could've gone to the test room but no matter. |
Cassandra stood and followed Mr. Nettings to the Testing center. |
Micah looked at Rhiannon and sighed. "Please follow." He looked back at Cassandra and said, "I'm testing you first." |
No doubt getting her out of the way. Fine... She was fine with that. She always got her way... sort of. "Alright, what would you like me to do?" She asked in the sweetest voice she could muster. |
Quote:
It didn't really bother her that she was going to have to wait. Waiting meant she had more time to relax and make sure she would be able to concentrate. |
Elizabeth came and halted before the Apparition Test Centre. Knocking on the door, she opened it. Scanning the room from outside, she noticed that it was empty. She decided to step in and wait for Mr. Nettings. |
Serena walked into the room nervously. As it was empty, she took a form from the desk and began filling in the details needed. Date: 30th May Name:Serena Campbell Age: 18 Height: 5'3'' Weight:9.9 stones Have you taken the test?: No. Signature: Serena Campbell |

Micah, before he had left the room, noticed about several more people come walking into his office. What, did he have a party going on? He needed his Test coordinators at once. Only one had caught his attention and that was a girl named Oceana. He stopped and allowed the girls he was about test to continue their destination. He held the door and looked at Oceana. "Ah, yes! I, clearly, am in need of an apparation test coordinator so I thank you for your presence. Time is quite limited Ms. Mason so I shall tell you what you need to do and quickly." He looked back at the few people sitting down and the new applicant. He walked over to her and said, "Good day." He took her application form from his desk and walked a little hastily back towards Oceana. "You must read this carefully and deter whether she is allowed to be tested or not. As the piece of parchment already detects lies, it still does not know whether a 16 year old should be tested. Say a 16 year old came in and wrote '16' on where it asks for the age, the parchment will not detect anything as that is not a lie. So if we were to trust such parchment, we would be fools. Now that you see that point, I hope, I think you are on the right track then! After you have finished reading all the applications for past and future applicants, please direct them to the Apparition Test Room. It's just down the hall on my right. I hope my instructions are clear and please do ask if you are in need of help to fulfill what's expected of you as a test coordinator. Now I must be off! Welcome to my Division and I shall have a more formal chat with you soon after all of these applicants are done." And with that, he left the office and almost ran to the Apparition Test Room. He prayed she would be a good assistant. |
Elizabeth saw Mr. Nettings enter. After he was done talking to the other employee, she went over to him. "Good Morning, Mr. Nettings. I was told to report here. And was wondering if you could guide me a little as to what I should be doing here." she said |
