Riku grinned, his dark eyes reflecting in the lamplight. It was nice just hearing her voice again, it had been so long since he'd last seen her, after their trip to the Leaky Cauldron. He'd had to go away, to sort a few things out with his family back in Tokyo, who'd moved there from Taiwan after his father got into a bit of trouble with a local farmer. He prefered not to think about it, it was a memory he'd rather not relive. His relationship with his father hadn't changed either. After he'd sabotaged one of his father's murders they'd deeply despised each other ever since.

He chuckled and gave her a reassuring wink, "Why thank you," he said, in response to her comment about how different he looked. He consciously touched the place where his scar used to be, before lowering his hand. He'd gotten so used to it being there and now it was just...gone. "And you..." He took a step back, "You look amazing," And she really did. That dress was beautiful, and it fitted her perfectly. It was almost as if they were made for each other.

"Sokka?" he said, more to himself than to Dree, "Oh, he's down at the Ritz with his fox-mates. It's been a long time since you've seen him, he's grown up quite a bit since that snowy night at the Leaky Cauldron," He smiled at the thought, and hugged Dree back as she hugged him. He was glad to have her back, he'd missed her, he'd missed her a lot.

Dree smiled back, taking in everything. Now she was offically happy she had come. Just seeing him made her day seem to go, well, right. Like it had been upside down and it was just turning right side up again.

Dree laughed. "Your welcome!"she said, curtsing. He really did look different, but it was a good different. Not the type to where you wonder if it really is them in a Halloween costum. She blushed even darker, blinking quickly. "Tha-thank you."she said, looking down at her dress and smoothing it down even though it already was smooth.

Dree cocked her head to the side. "Really? So he's all, big and such?"she asked, sighing. "It was bound to happen. I wonder if I went to him in my fox form if you would have some competetion."she said, winking. Then she blushed again. "Of coarse that's saying that you like me though, and I mean, how could anyone like me."she added hastily. Boy did she feel embarressed right then. Infact, sinking into the floor was an understatment in the way she felt.

Zanna moved over to a chair and pulled out her translation book. She started to read.

Liam watched as Alina come over to him smiling. He had this funny feeling that she wouldn't be smiling when she had danced with him a few time, he wasn't very good at it. He waited for her to get to him, He had this feeling she was missing Theo who was a great quidditch playing in his time, Liam had gone through the quidditch book and found out all about Theo, he wondered if Alina knew that he used to play quidditch and had won the league, well she would find out in her own time.

Liam had this feeling that Alina was thinking he had been watching to many children programmes and she would have been right to he had been watching them with his two young sons. He waited until she had got to him, she spoke just before he had a chance to. "That's alright." He smiled. "As long as y...o...u.. d...o..n...'t blaim me for any bruised toes." He too wasn't a good dancer.

He smiled, "You really do..." he said, looking her over again, and she did. He thought his heart was going to jump out of his chest. He'd felt this feeling before, ages ago, when she'd kissed him, that one time outside the Leaky. He'd felt it before then, of course, he felt it everytime he was with her, but that time had been more stronger than ever, a bit like now. He hadn't seen her in what seemed like forever, and here she was, all dressed up...

He blinked, coming back to his senses. He nodded and then grinned slightly, "Competition?" He pulled a very comical frown, his bottom lip pouting like it had never pouted before. "Have you been going out with Sokka?" he asked, in a deep voice. "Tell the truth, I have a liscence to Veritisyrm," he said, now acting like James Bond. Then he went completely back to normal, "Unless I just embarassed myself for nothing and you and Sokka have never actually laid a paw on each other," He grinned, and winked at her playfully.

Dree smiled. "Well then, thank you very much."she said, and she kissed him on the cheek. "You look quite nice tonight too. Very, what's the word? Oh yes! Snazzy."she said, giggling. He really did look nice.

Dree laughed at his face. "No I haven't thank you. And yes, I think you have just embarressed yourself infront of me. You poor soul."she said, patting him on the shoulder. "Though, Sokka might not be so bad."she said, acting like she was deep in thought. She turned back to him and laughed. "I'm kidding by the way."she added, grinning. "So....do you really have a liscence to Veritisyrm?"she asked, eyeing him playfully.

Riku blushed ever so slightly when she kissed him on the cheek. He still hadn't quite got used to it yet, it still sent shivers through his spine. "Snazzy? Why thank you, Miss Droman," he said with a formal bow, "I do try," He winked, and returned to his full height.

He let out a small laugh, and ran his hand through his hair wearily. "Oh great. Now everyone in the Department's gonna think I'm loony," He smiled sarcastically when she patted him on the back, "Thanks for your sympathy," he said, with a slight roll of his eyes. He raised his eyebrows, and then laughed. "Well that's a relief. I'd be quite shocked if you got of with my fox. And not to mention, it would be highly disterbing," He grinned playfully, and took a sip from his butterbeer bottle.

He had to stop himself from choking on his butterbeer at her next question. He took the bottle away from his mouth and gazed down at her, "Of course, how else do you think I got you to admit you liked me," He grinned, and shook his head, "Kidding," he added, taking her hand in his and giving it a quick squeeze.

Dree rolled her eyes. "Yes. Don't try to hard. Besides, if your head gets too big, how will you fit through doors?"she asked, smirking.

Dree laughed. "Well to be obvious, you technically have gone loony, since you can turn into a wolf."she said, patting him somemore. She grinned. "Your welcome......Just don't expect more."she said, winking. Dree giggled. "Really? I mean all I would have to do is get used to being a fox my whole life. Not that difficult I think...."she said, trailing off.

Dree blushed crimson, almost matching her hair. "You didn't!"she said, slightly upset. Then she sighed when he said he was kidding. "Ok then. I have one question for you, Mr. Bei-Fong. Do you, like me?"she asked, cocking her head to the side.

Riku gazed over at the door on the otherside of the room, and then returned Dree's smirk, "I could always ask the minister of magic to resize all the doors in the ministry, especially for me," He shrugged, "But then again, I'm just the guy from the Gobstones Division,"

"Oh thanks, that makes me feel loads better," he said with a small laugh, "You can hardly talk, I'm not the one who can turn into a fox," he said, his eyes turning a light amber. He winked playfully, and they turned back to normal. "You really want to be a fox all your life?" Now he thought about it, it wouldn't be that bad. She wouldn't have a care in the world, free to do whatever she pleased. "I bet Sokka would fall for you instantly," he said, with a small grin.

Riku stayed silent for a few seconds, his dark eyes locked onto her's. "How's this for an answer?" he said quietly, lowering his head. Then he kissed her gently on the lips.

Dree laughed and rolled her eyes. "Oh yes. I'm sure she would do that. Of coarse, I'm sure there are more people like you that need bigger doors."she said, grinning. She smacked him lightly on the head. "Your not just some guy. Your Riku Bei-Fong."she stated, winking.

"I'm glad."she said, patting him on the back. She giggled, and rolled her eyes. Seemed like she was doing that a lot. "Oh yes. Silly me."she said, chuckling. She watched his eyes change color, and she cocked her head slightly to the left, then focused back on their conversation. "It wouldn't be that bad. I mean, not really having to work that hard. Not having to pay bills. Life would be pretty easy I think."she said, shrugging. She rolled her eyes, but a pink color appeared in her cheeks. "Oh, thanks."she mumbled out.

Dree was defiently not expecting that one coming. She grew a bit rigged, then relaxed and kissed him back, her eyes closed. Right then, she didn't care what other's thought, she was kissing the most wonderful person in the world, and that was the best thing to her. After breaking apart, she smiled in a dazed sort of way. "Wow."was all she could say as she looked into his warm brown eyes.

He felt his heart pace slow despite her kissing him back. It was a feeling he had never experienced before, where nothing mattered in the world except her, the most amazing person in the world. He closed her eyes, as did she, and when they broke he apart, he couldn't help but smile at her reaction.

"But if you do decide to be a fox for the rest of your life, don't forget me, ok? My parents would kill me if I ever did anything like that, and they would get the law on me or something. So don't go running off with my fox, keep me in your mind for always, and remember," He smiled, "No matter where we go, and what we do, I'll always love you, no matter what," He gave her a quick peck on the tip of her nose, and then took a sip of his butterbeer.

Dree smiled back still trieing to get her vocabulary back. She had never, well, kissed anyone before. And it was.........amazing.

Dree laughed. "Oh, ok. I promise never to forget you."she said, saluting him playfully. Her smiled grew bigger when he said the last part. "Aw. Thanks Riku. I'll always..."it felt strange to say it, after she had never really had anyone in her life to actually say it too,"love you too."she said, hugging him and kissing him on the cheek. The she giggled. "You ever tried, dancing?"she asked, indicating to the slow song that was now playing.

Riku grinned, "Good," he said, saluting her back. It had felt good to finally tell her that he loved him. Ok, so maybe a department party wasn't the most romantic place in the world, but at least he hadn't left it until it was too late.

His eyes widened and a slight look of embarassment crossed his face. "Er..." He let out a sheepish laugh and rubbed the back of his neck, "Ok, I can dance...sort of. Although, I'd never do it in public," He pulled a comical angry face. "Never."

Dree giggled. "I'm glad your happy."she said, rolling her eyes slightly, not wanting to ruin the moment quite yet.

She knew she had hit a embarressed subject, just by the way he acted. She cocked her head to the left slightly, her eyes sparkling in the dim light. "Oh! So you can, but you don't like to show it off? Well now's your chance to show it off to all those lovely ladies out there."she said, winking and smirking. She didn't care if he never danced in public, she would get him out there some how. "I don't dance well myself, but it's a slow song, so we can just rock back and forth."she said, grinning. Grabing his hand, she dragged him on to the middle of the dance floor, a wide grin on her face. Putting her hand on his shoulder, and lifting the other one that was in his hand, she looked at him. "I think you place the other one on my waist. It's the proper way."she said, blushing almost the color of her hair.
