A series of desks are spread out throughout the center of this floor. Each of the desks is large and ornate, labelled clearly with the employee's name. These desks are for the staff of the Minister of Magic. Each employee on this floor ultimately answers to the Minister of Magic, albeit often through the Senior Undersecretary, and they each communicate directly with a specific department on his behalf.

Bella nodded. "I am Bella." She told her, extending her hand so she could shake it. "The Junior Assistant to the Minister." ... and she was about to tell her where her desk was and that Reagan would explain things to her when Reagen actually entered the room. Perfect. Saved her the time and energy.

She shortly reappeared. Well, actually only her head reappeared as she ducked it out of her office door, from where she called, "Bella! The Minister would like his morning tea with two wedges of lemon, one on the edge of the cup and one resting on the saucer. And let's not have any of the seeds pop out of the lemon and be strewn about the saucer. Last time that happened, I thought the man might have a fit." Reagan was about to remove her head from the doorway when she remembered something else, "Oh! And make sure it is very hot because it takes him awhile to get to it and he hates it cold. Thanks!"

Bella sighed as she watched Reagan leave the room once she heard the Minister's voice, calling for her. Looked like the Minister was not pleased about something. She had just picked up her book and flipped it open when Reagan's head appeared at the door and called for her. She instantly stood up, a pad and a pen in hand as she wrote down the instructions. It was very handy writing them down, it would prevent herself from forgetting. it was unusual that she'd forget anything, but still, it was handy.

"Right. I'll get it." She said as she grabbed her bag and hurried out of the room.

Cambell walked into a room full of desks and people. Almost everyone seemed to get to work earlier than herself, but she still wasn't late.
She had seemed to walk in at a bad time, because a woman who was sticking her head out of an office looked a little stressed.
Cambell smiled and waved at everyone nervously. "Hello! I'm Cambell." She said shortly. She suddenly got distracted by seeing her name on top of a very good looking desk. Though, all the desks looked the same, beside hers was bare, Cambell was still extremely excited to be able to have her own, special desk.
She happily strolled over to it with her things and sat down in her chair, smiling brightly. She began putting her things in her drawers and slightly decorating her desk, until someone came and told her what to do.

Alison walked in, hoping that she wasn't late. She walked meekly over to a table with her name on it and pulled out some things from her bag. It was a quill, a notebook of parchment, and a bottle of navy-blue ink. She also pulled out a wand and some books for later on, and a small plastic container. She opened it, widened one of her eyes, and popped a lens in. She did the same with another eye and pulled out a small dropper. She tipped her head back, and dropped a couple drops of liquid in her eyes and blinked furiously. She shook her head and looked around. She seemed so small, like a child next to them. She sighed and slumped. Quietly, she slipped the plastic case and the dropper in her bag.

Chad slided softly into the area of the Department Liaison Desk. He was humming a soft tune to himself and he had a smile loosely placed on his face. It was his first day, impressions were everything.

He tilted his head to the side, just slightly, and his brown eyes quickly surveyed the room. He had the feeling that he was slightly late, but oh well, better late than never.

He found the desk that was labelled with his name (he had a labelled desk! How cool is that!?) and placed his briefcase underneath and took a seat in the chair. Leaning back, he folded his hands on top of his stomach and let his eyes soak in the room.

Bella returned to the room to find Angelina still standing where she had left her a few minutes ago to get the Minister's tea. Now she had some introductions to do. She walked over to where she stood and came to a graceful stop right in front of her before she started speaking again. "Welcome to the Minister's office. As you already know, I am Isabella Brown, the Junior Assistant to the Minister." She was sure she had introduced herself to her before.

"If you could please follow me, I'll escort you to your desk." Bella wanted to snort at the way she framed those words, but she didn't. Instead she lead the way to a big, wooden desk around the middle of the room with a golden plate and the words 'Angelina Gilmore : Department of Magical Transportation' engraved on it.

"This is your desk." She guestered it to her with a little wave of her hand. She had the orders to introduce her to the others too, but she thought that she would let her settle in and take care of someone else who had entered the room. She looked new. "I'll be right back" She told Angelina and strode over to the new girl.

"You must be Campbell Robinson. I am Isabella Brown, the Junior Assistant to the Minister of Magic." She extended her hand so Cambell could shake it. "It's good to have you here and Welcome to the Minister's Office." She sighed. Here we go again.

The lady that had went to go and get tea for the Minister walked up to her desk and introduced herself.
"Yes! It's very nice to meet you Isabella!" Cambell said happily, shaking her hand and smiling brightly.
"Thank you very much! Im extremely excited to be here!" She said looking around.

Alison looked at the lady. She was greeting some people. She decided to talk to SOMEONE.

"Hello," Alison mumbled quietly to a man from across her. She hoped he didn't mistake her for a small child. "And I'm guessing that your name is... Chad?" She said carefully, trying to make a bit of small talk.

Chad returned back to reality at the sound of someone's voice. He eyed the woman softly, a warm smile displayed on his face. The woman was speaking like he was a ravage dog, rearing and getting ready to strike. There was no fear, Chad was as harmless as a puppy dog.

"Hmmm, Bonjour Mademoiselle!" he smiled and then nodded. "Indeed. I am Chad...Chad Stryker. Obviously, une liaison, mais I'm a liaison for the Department of International Magical Cooperation." He bent down and pulled some paper and quills out of his briefcase, before straightening up again to smile at the woman.

"Forgive me, but I cannot see you name plate," he leaned over slightly, hoping for a chance to see if he could see it this time. No luck. "So, who would you be, Mademoiselle?"

"Alison. Alison Raine-LaRousse." Alison blushed a thin pink. He was rather handsome and had an exotic accent. Although her mother was french, she had never bothered teaching her french. "And my nameplate is here." She said, pointing to a corner further away from the man's eyesight. "I'm Liason to Magical Law Enforcement." She added. She blinked a bit more to make sure the contacts settled.

Alison pulled at her top. It was a tube top and was prettily gold. She wished she hadn't worn it - it was rather uncomfortable.

Chad continued to smile softly, "Hmm, indeed they do, Mademoiselle. Indeed they do..." He continued to sit in his seat, feeling more at ease with the room. Perhaps he should go investigate the rest of the ministry.

He stood up, stretching his arms and turning his neck to get a kink out. "Excuse-moi Mademoiselle, mais, I really a need a drink of some sort, perhaps some coffee. I shall return later, au revoir!" And with that Chad slided out of the office, just as softly as he slided in.

Cambell had given the man a small smile as he walked out and she realized that she was thirsty too. But Cambell was prepared. She reached down into her bag and brought out her canteen of hot tea. Cambell sipped it and smiled to herself, satisfied.

You should be meeting regularly with members of the department in order to fully determine what issues they are presently handling and report to Reagan, the Undersecretery and the Minister about those issues via memo. There will be an employee handbook distributed very soon, which will clarify and expand upon your role in this department and, of course, if you have any questions or need any help, I sit right there ... whenever I am not needed and Reagan is usually available. Don't hesitate to ask us anything." She smiled as she pointed at her desk.

Bella soon turned around and noticed that two others had joined them during the time she had been busy with Cambell and Angelina. Jeez! Did all the new officers have to walk in at the same time as when she was dealing with one who had entered just a few minutes before them. They should all have come together. That would have made life easier for her. She was sure it would only be minutes before the Minister called her in for something or the other.

Being the junior assistant was NOT an easy job to do.

Bella walked over and smiled as she stopped in front of them. "Goodmorning and welcome to The Minister's office." She said as she extended her hand towards the woman (she thought her name was Alison) and then towards the man (was it Chad?). "I am Isabella Brown, the junior assistant to the Minister of Magic. You can call me Bella" She intorduced herself for the fourth time this morning. Or was it the fifth? "I see that you already found your desks." She said ... again. "And it seems like you have met all the others who are present." So no need to introduce them to the others.

Brian was the only one who wasn't introduced to them. She wondered what was up with him.

She took a deep breath before she launched into the explaination of what they were here for ... obviously not to play hide and seek. "Your job here is for clear communication between the Minister and your assigned department. You should be meeting regularly with members of the department in order to fully determine what issues they are presently handling and report to Reagan, the Undersecretery and the Minister about those issues via memo. There will be an employee handbook distributed very soon, which will clarify and expand upon your role in this department and, of course, if you have any questions or need any help, I sit right there ... whenever I am not needed and Reagan is usually available. She had obviously just repeated the exact same words she had spoken to Cambell ... all of this was something she had learnt off by heart. It was handy whenever there was a new Liaison. Her job was to help the Undersecretery overlook the work here too.

... Boy all this talking was making her thirsty. Specially after she spoke rather loudly when the Minister's tea was taking longer because they ran out of lemon.

Alison smiled and said, "Well, I'll see you later." She said, returning to a nervous state. She mumbled to herself, "Well, this will be an interesting time here..." And blinked some more.
"Hello, Miss Bella." She said politely. The woman was stressed, she could tell. She felt distracted and heard a bit on what the lady said, but wanted to go explore, so she would. She got up, dusted herself off and headed down to the "Magic Is Might" fountain.

Bella's eyes widened in surprise as she watched the girl walk away. This had never happened before. That was so ... so .... so rude! Bella had just spent her time, breath and energy telling this person what her job was and she just said I'll see you later and greeted her and walked off?

A frown formed on her face and she stared at the girl as she disappeared. Although she had been polite when she greeted her, but it didn't sound like she heard a single word Bella had said.

Cambell made a mental note to go and introduce herself to the Head of the Magical Education department before work was over.
Cambell got out her notepad and wrote a few things down that she would like to remember.
She watched as another girl walked out, wondering if walking out all the time was something that was normal during a day at work. She didnt really think so... but it was only her first day.

Bella turned to Cambell and smiled slightly. Now this was more like the response she would have liked to heard from the other one who had just walked out. Not that she wanted to hear herself being thanked or anything, but it just seemed so ... weird. That was the only thing she could think of. The other one hadn't even acknowladged that Bella had just explained to her the reason she was here.

"You're welcome." She smiled at her, although it was very slear that she was distracted.
