At the very end of the hallway on Level 6, there is a large oak door where lies the Department Head's office. On the door reads in pretty, cursive and gold lettering:

The piece of parchment that was previously pinned under the name plate in large, slanted head that read: "Enter at own risk, I have been known to bite without warning" has been removed and placed in the top drawer of the Department Head's desk as a memoir for she knew who'd done it.

Once inside the cozy little office, it is clear that it belongs to that of a witch by the pink walls and comfortable looking chairs with a side table that includes chocolates. There are a few pictures on the handsome desk of a few of Lorraine's close friends and family members. There is also a bookshelf with not only books on quidditch or apparition, but miniature figurines of different broomstick models, and a small jar of floo powder. Naturally, there is also a fireplace, which would of course be connected to the floo network (and Theodore Newtington's office, because she ~~loves~~hates him muchly)

Ooh. That man has it coming to him! She shook her head at him, somewhat angrily and watched him leave her office. Finally, she had some piece and quiet, other than the liaison who was so patiently standing there listening to all of this.

She closed her eyes and rested her head on the desk for about 30 seconds before returning to her work.

Lorraine was busy looking over some more files when a small wrinkled parchment flew into her office and spread itself across her desk. She smoothed it and arched her brow while reading it.

Taking out her pink broomstick notepaper, she scribbled down a quick reply message, and tapped it, "Amanda Vanalda", to send it towards her desk.

She then turned towards her liaison, Angelina, and smiled. "I'm sorry Angelina darling, but I have to head off now." Ushering her out of the office, she waited for her to leave before locking it behind her.

Angelina was about to answer to Lorraines question when the woman told her she had to leave.
She stood up from her seat and walked to the door and smiled to the woman. "That is perfectly fine, Lorrain. I'm sure we will have another opportunitys to talk." she said while she looked at the woman.
They would have much more oportunitys to talk, now Angelina should go and meet the people that she would work with.
It would be that hard.
She hopped.

Lorraine reentered her office after the broom meeting in the conference room. Plopping the paperwork down her desk, she slumped into her chair for a moment before sitting up to check the time. Still time before lunch... she thought, deciding she might as well make some rounds to her divisions and see how things were doing.

Quickly jotting down a few things, she picked up her clipboard with a few clean sheets of parchment on and her quill, leaving her office again.

Molly walked in and a confused look crossed her face. She was wondering why the head of the department was gone so early in the day, then she took a quick glance at her watch suprised to see that it was well past noon. Molly took out a peice of parchment and a quill out of her pocket and wrote a letter reading:

Dear head of the department,

I was wondering what exactly you would like me to do. I know it is a silly question, but 'tis only my first day at work. Just send me an owl, or whatever you perfer, and i will do whatever is needed around hear. Until i here from you i will ask around to see if anybody needs any help. Sorry if i cause any inconvienence to you.

Lorraine decided to make a quick stop at her office to check for any updates before continuing with her rounds to the second division on her list. She was quite alarmed to find her door ajar slightly, considering for the past six years she has been so cautious as to lock it right after leaving her office. No matter other than the privacy, considering the many confidential documents stored within her private office.

Upon entering, she was even more astonished to find letter folded neatly on her desk. Swooping it up, she walked around and settled into her hi-back chair. Scanning the document silently, she straightened up in her chair and checked her list of employees before pulling out her pink broomstick-shaped parchment to write a reply:

Thank you very much for your note. You have been assigned to the Broom Control Division, headed by Ms Amanda Valanda. Please speak with her for work to do. I do not advise asking around to others if they need help without Ms Valanda's approval; however, if you are bored than you may perhaps find interest in getting to know your colleagues in other departments down by the cafeteria.

Thank you and any other questions, do not hesitate to ask myself or Ms Valanda.

The brunette tapped the parchment, "Molly. Broom Regulatory Control," and it flew off in the direction of the recipient. She then picked her clipboard back up again and left to continue her rounds, being careful to make sure her door was locked behind her this time.

Micah ran into the room in panic. "Lorraine! there's an enlarged roach in the breakroom, hurry and help control it!!" he shouted. He ran back out to another office.

Lorraine reentered her office from the breakroom, shutting her door behind her using the back of her heel as she was carrying a stack of folders and a coffee mug. The happenings in the breakroom were all too much for her to deal with right now; slamming the papers on the desk, she settled into her chair and took a sip of coffee. Finally placing the coffee mug down on the desk, she overlooked her to-do list and sighed.

...Lunch with Evaline - postponed; Lunch with Teal - today; visit the park - today....

She would be needing to send Teal a reminder of their lunch date, as the man had the tendency to forget certain things. Silly men. She shook her head subtly, dipping her quill into the ink and began to write a memo to Delilah. That woman would be thrilled to hear of the roach eggs, she thought smirking and knowing full well that she kid.

The brunette then wrote another memo to Teal, reminding him of the lunch. Upon setting her quill down on the desk, she removed her wand and tapped the memos to fly off to the appropriate people.

Tom read the plaque pleased he had found the right door and began to knock a tune stuck in his head before realising, he then stopped immediatley hoping that whoever was in there hadn't heard. He hesitated whether to go but decided it would be rude so waited outside nervous to meet his boss.

Glancing over some more paperwork, Lorraine was in a rather odd mood today. Perhaps it was the fact that she kept a watchful eye on the clock or her upcoming lunch date with Teal, but either way it was still another work day. And Lorraine never backed away from work. Having recently heard that Flooing was down by level two, she thought she might do a bit of questioning before they locked him away. Gathering her notes on the man, she stood up ready leave her office behind when she heard that dreaded sound: a knock. Someone else wanted her?!

Holding one hand on her paperwork, she ran her free hand once through her hair before reaching out to open the door. "Ah! Mr Negarty! Good to see you again," she said smiling at tall man before her who she had just hired aboard. "Just getting ready to head out, but well, are you adjusting alright to everything?" She inquired of him, inquisitively. Despite how confident she was with her division heads, her employee's happiness with their job was always a concern.

Tom moved aside quickly as the door opened to see Ms Brothmeister appearing looking a little flustered. "Hello, Not to worry, it was nothing important just a meet and greet sort of thing." He replied friendly. "Everything is fine thanks." He said pleased that her question was genuine. "Well, you seem a little rushed so I will leave you to it." He said letting his boss pass. "See you round" He called and headed back to hiss office, planning on returning a little later.

Lorraine smiled up at him as he said he just wanted to meet her. Oh he was a charming and friendly fellow; great asset to her department - that was for sure. "Me? Rushed? No, if you needed to talk to me about something, then my employees always come first. Besides, I'm actually headed down to chat with Mr Flooing... I believe that is your division? Would you care to come with me?" she asked, offering a vague sense of a smile. Although seeing him start to head back towards his office, she was sure that being with his boss made the gentleman uneasy.

Tom turned round and smiled, a real genuine smile. He wasn't sure if Ms Brothmeister was rushed and being polite or not but he liked her. When hearing she invited him to help her, he felt very pleased. "That would be wonderful!" He said walking back next to her, he tripped over his new shoes and stumbled almost knocking Lorraine over. "Oh dear, I'm so sorry. These new shoes." He explained looking down at his large feet and grinning. "Where abouts are we headed?" He asked trying to sound very profesional after his stumble, but to him he felt that it just didn't suit him.

About to just shrug it off, as the man probably did not want to be seen hanging around with an older woman, Lorraine was starting to walk towards the lifts which would take her to level two. At least that was where she heard Flooing was being held. Until she felt a large mass fall into her, causing her paperwork to fall from her hands in an effort to keep her balance. "Woah! You alright there!?" she instinctively replied back, flustered. Bending down to regather her papers, she looked back at him curiously. He was quite humorous and oddly enough, he seemed to know it. "Level two," she said, upon regaining her composure with papers back in hand.

"Oh dear, sorry" He said picking up the few remaining papers. "Level two- here we come" He said stupidly and pressing the lift button. Soon enough the golden grilles opened and he let Ms. Brothmeister pass before him. When they were heading down he spoke again. "I know it is a little late to tell you this, but I haven't the slightest information about this Mr. Flooing character." He said his english accent apparent. "It only just occured to me otherwise I would have told you earlier." He began humming quietly to himself automatically.

Filius walked down the corridor and up to the door. As he knocked he noticed someone else was there. Filius went over what he needed to say in his head.

Lorraine headed back up to her office on the sixth floor humming. Turned out the Flooing guy was just suffered from a tad case of lunacy; nonetheless, she'd have to submit a report to Wordsmith about her recommendations to wrap that case up.

It took her a moment to adjust as she saw two people waiting outside her office; one familiar male from the portkey office and a new hire. What could have gone wrong now in the fifty minutes I was gone? she thought, cautiously approaching the two employees. "Good afternoon Filius and you too," she had blanked on the new female's name. "Let me just open my office up and then I'll be right with you..."

She moved past them and muttered the password to her office, which the door swung open. Settling her papers on her desk, she turned around to face them. "Now, who may I help first?" she asked, a vague hint of a smile on her lips.

Lorraine tilted her head slightly, as she pressed her lips together listening to Filius and what he had to say. "Oh yes, I did get a memo from him now that I think of it," she said quietly. "I didn't get it to you? He has been sick unfortunately, but I will be thinking about a filling his place with a temporary division head in his absence."

She wondered slightly why he was asking about this, but finally concluded that he must be playing the concerned employee, right? She offered a small smile to him, "Don't worry Filius. For now, just all work together unless something major comes in where I would expect you to seek counsel from me if there are any questions. Sound good?" She told him, thoughtfully, trying to work out internally if there was a perhaps better solution. Nah, that ought to cover it for now...
