The gold-lettered plaque which once indicated the office of Ms. Lorraine Brothmeister (now-former Department Head of Magical Transportation) has been removed. In it's place, a new plaque now reads:
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Mrs. Ice Cream has moved into the Ministry of Magic and is now heading an entire level. Will the office ever be the same? Probably not, but here's hoping for the best, eh? The setup of the office is more or less what you would expect from any other office of such a kind. There's a desk in the middle, complete with portraits of the Greingoth family of three. A bookcase stands tall off to the left side of the room, containing a large, neatly-categorized collection of literature relating to a variety of subjects. Plants placed in beautifully decorated porcelain pots line the two windows found on either side of the office.
Your typical office? Yes, somewhat.
If you look closely, though, bits and pieces of Mrs. Greingoth's own personal flair are actually found in abundance throughout the place. Amongst the family portraits and paperwork stacked atop the desk, one can also find quite a few issues of fashion magazines and a few brochures relating to international travel. An entire shelf on the bookcase houses a make-up mirror, a cosmetic bag, and a random assortment of Wonder Witch products. Oh, and those plants lining the windowsills? They're pink puffapods, of course.
Yes, yes. A Greingoth woman has definitely made her way into the Ministry of Magic. | |

Armen had heard the news. Lorraine had moved to a new Department and the lady from Florean Fortesque's had moved into the office.
He wanted to formally introduce himself so he walked down the hall to her office and stood outside the door. He lifted his hand and knocked three times at a moderate tone. He didnt want to sound nervous but didnt want to seem angry. So then he waited.

With a beautiful vase of carnations, lilies, and roses resting on her growing tummy, Madison made her way towards the office of the new Department Head. It was a good thing that she didn't have to knock on the door because someone was already there, someone she didn't know. Really, she had to get out more and meet these people within her department.
"Hello," she greeted the gentleman with a vibrant smile and a warm, free hand extended. For someone who was quiet and kept to herself at times, there were other times where no one would ever know she was shy.

As Bella read through page twenty-six of the latest issue of Witch Weekly, she suddenly became aware that there was conversation being held just outside her office door. Ahhh, yes conversation...meaning people were present. Perhaps she should go and see if her employees needed anything, yes? Sounded good to her! Bella click-clacked over to the door and pulled it open.
Yes, indeed. There were employees just outside the door. Hopefully they hadn't been standing there too terribly long. Her face lit up with a smile, and she tapped her chin thoughtfully, trying to put a name with the faces she was seeing. She'd thumbed through her filing cabinet many a times, and she pretty much had all the names down pat. "Ahh, good day, Mr. ...Recard, yes?" Bella greeted. Oh, and the woman was expecting, so she must be..."Mrs. Masteron, as well. How do you two do? Please, do come in."

Yes it is Recard but you may call me Armen if you like." he said with a hand outstretched for a friendly handshake. "I am well today, thank you." he said as he stepped into her office as she asked them to. He looked around and smiled it looked very nice in here.

As the man and woman just outside her door greeted her, Bella glanced down to see that the Witch Weekly she'd been reading was still in her hands. She turned and tossed the magazine into a far corner of her office, watching as it fluttered to the ground and landed in a heap by the bookcase. "Ahh, Armen it is, then," she said, reaching out to return his handshake. What a nice, polite gentlemen. "I'm glad to hear you're doing well. Do come inside, please."
"Yes, hello, dear," she said, turning to face the woman who'd been outside the door, as well. She motioned for her to enter the office, too, and then smiled as she took in the sight of the pretty bouquet of flowers. "Well, isn't that nice! Thank you!" She accepted the bouquet and moved to place it on a windowsill next to a puffapod. "Madison, dear, I do have something to ask of you, as well. I'm glad you stopped by. I'll be teaching Apparition lessons at Hogwarts School starting in a few days. Are you available to assist with those?"

"YES!" Oh that was too loud indeed. "I mean, yes, I'd love too." She dropped her voice down to gentle yet calm...yet excited voice. "My husband is the Groundskeeper at Hogwarts as well." She rubbed her small, growing belly as he'd not seen her since that day in her office when he sneaked out of school to visit her before Lorraine left.

Seeing as she was about to get teary-eyed, she put the portrait back on her desk and turned towards Madison again. "So, Madison. What is it that you've been involved in on our level? Are you currently involved in anything besides the upcoming Apparition lessons?" she asked.

Her daydream was cut off short when Madi heard the dreadful question asked. "Involved on our level," she asked with a scared look on her face. "Well, I helped where needed, which...wasn't much." OH how she hated to not be busy as there was only so much to look for. "But I did help with other departments...when needed. I'll help anywhere. I'm a worker and I'm here to do a job." That was the truth.

I'm completely thrilled about the upcoming wedding now, but you can imagine my shock when the Newell boy popped the question," Bella said, picking up a photo of her daughter and future son-in-law and showing it to Madison. "Her fiance graduated last year, though, so I'm sure the two will appreciate their upcoming holiday reunion." Bella placed the photo back on her desk and moved to take a sit. She motion for both Madison and Armen to do the same.
"I'm sure you did a wonderful job helping out when needed. You, too, Armen," she said, nodding towards the man. Both Madison and Armen seemed especially nice and welcoming. She had no doubt both were hard workers. She blinked when Armen began to describe all the department was involved in. She really needed to get into that filing cabinet again and do some reading.
"Ahh, yes. the incident at the conference," she said, nodding and taking some notes. She leaned in close to Madi so that she could properly whisper. "Mads, what in Merlin's name happened in the conference?" she quickly asked. She honestly had no clue. She must have missed that memo while scooping up ice cream at Florean's. Madison's eyes widened in surprise as Bella began to speak about her daughter, Anna. And then a gasp was heard as she opened her mouth and inhaled. This brought back memories as the only thing Madi could share was..."I know it must be hard on Anna with her love being away from school." It was hard on Madi when Neo left a year before she did.
She then began to listen to Armen speak about the conference and Madison could do nothing but blink. She was just completely lost in what was going on, as if she'd not been here for quite some time. "Well, I...err...umm. I wish I knew! The only thing I know from the conference was that flying carpets were not passed for Britain, although I would love to see them here in the country as everyone else seems to enjoy them and have no problems." Oh she was back on her soapbox again but this time was different. She felt that determination and wondered if it was part of her pregnancy that pushed this issue.

She then began to listen to Armen speak about the conference and Madison could do nothing but blink. She was just completely lost in what was going on, as if she'd not been here for quite some time. "Well, I...err...umm. I wish I knew! The only thing I know from the conference was that flying carpets were not passed for Britain, although I would love to see them here in the country as everyone else seems to enjoy them and have no problems." Oh she was back on her soapbox again but this time was different. She felt that determination and wondered if it was part of her pregnancy that pushed this issue. Chris looked at the two women and then laughed a cheerful laugh. "So I guess Im the only one here who knows what happened?" he said joking. "Well during the Conference all the visiting Ministers from the Foriegn Ministries were seated on the stage. Then suddenly a person somehow appeared on the stage and the French Minister was killed. The culprit was not caught." he finished, and then looked at Madison with a smile. "Definately alot more than Flying Carpets." and winked. He really liked these two, he wondered if they would become friends. 'I hope.' he thought to himself.

Okaay.
So Lorraine was... Where? And why had his favourite employee of Diagon Alley taken over? Ugh. It all got too much for his little mind occasionally. Wandering slowly down the corridor, he stopped outside of the Department head's office. Eeeep. It still looked the same.... But that did just mean that she hadn't replaced the door. Which would of been a really odd thing to do. Raising one hand, he knocked lightly on the door. Better now than waiting for her to come to his shabby little excuse for an office.

"Yeah, it is. It's hard on him, too. Cale, I mean. I keep telling them that they're both far too young to be that attachced, but who am I to say anything? Alexander and I married two months out of Hogwarts, and Anna's doing about the same," she said, shrugging a little. She narrowed her eyes in confusion at Madison's gasp, figuring that just maybe something she'd said had sparked a memory or two of Madison's. She said nothing else of Anna and Cale's situation, though. She didn't want to upset Madison any further.
Bella nodded as Madison told what she knew of the Conference. She jotted down notes for her to read up on later. Why in Merlin's name had no one informed her of all this when she was hired? Did they honestly expect her to go from ice cream to this with absolutely no added information? Apparently they did...
"Nonsense!" Anna said to Armen. "I know of the Conference. I just wanted to know of our department's involvement in it." She jotted down a bit of what Armen was saying, as well. Conference...Ministers...stage...French...killed.. . Just then, a knock sounded at the door, and Bella stopped writing. "Excuse me, dears," she said, laying her quill and parchment on the desk. She strolled on over to the door and opened it, smiling politely at the young man standing there. Hmm. Now who was this? She thought back to the papers in the filing cabinet she'd looked through and tried to put a face with a name. "Ahhh, Mr. Caster! Lovely to see you. Come on in..." She opened the door wide and motioned for him to enter.

Madison's big brown eyes widened again in shock. "I was at the conference but left a little early as there were things I needed to do before heading home." She looked down in disbelief. "The Chinese Minister and I got along perfectly. He was such a nice man." She was rather thankful that it was not him, even though it was bad enough that someone was killed to begin with.
"Yes! Definitely more than flying carpets, Armen," she chuckled lowly then turned her head towards the door. "I just feel as though I am so out of the loop with things sometimes." Well with all her attention going towards her family and then worrying about her husband at Hogwarts, she was a little busy.

Armen smiled as Mrs. Greingoth wrote down some notes about what he had said happened at the Conference. And then said "Not a problem." When she excused herself to answer the knock at the door.
While the Department Head was answering the door he chuckled along with Madison as she laughed at his joke. He listened to how busy she was. "Oh well you won't have to be out it from now on, I will keep you updated." He finished with a smile. "So your husband is the Groundskeeper at Hogwarts? That must be great for you to hear all the going-ons of the school." he sighed. "I miss that place." | |

Bella could hear both Madison and Armen just behind her talking between themselves. She was listening to Madison question Armen about the years he'd attended Hogwarts. She was actually glad she hadn't been around for that little part of the conversation, for she absolutely never shared her age with anyone---at all. As far as she was concerned, they could all just believe she was about twenty-something. Nevermind the fact that she had an eighteen-year-old daughter. She smiled at the man at the door, then moved to shut the door behind him. "Do come join Armen, Madison, and I, please," she said, moving to sit behind her desk once again. "So, where were we?"
