"I am actually glad we are not busy right now. That just means no poor souls who have had their lives changed by this affliction. As the Muggles like to say, 'No news is good news.'" Star goes back to her desk and turns around in her chair, "Since we are not busy and we will spend most of our time in this office, do you think they would give us an enchanted window" she asks to liz. |
That would be really nice, something to break the monotony. I wonder who we would ask... |

"Ms. Silverstone, is most likely to be asked first about the window. Hopefully, we would be allowed one, because it's not likely for us to spend any time 'in the field' as they say." Star turns and picks up a basket full of chocolate Hersey Kisses and hands it to Liz. "Care for a sweet dear?" |
Oh, why thank you! I just heard horrible news. My brothers wife just died. It is so sad, I never even got to Hogsmeade to talk to my niece, before this happened... |
"Ohhh, I'm sorry to hear that dear. Just make yourself available to your niece. Let her know you are there, but do not push her to talk. Right now she just needs hugs and a good listening ear. And if you need a ear, mine is always available. I have good hugs too, My granddaughter says mine are the best." |
Thank you, you're very sweet! Liz reaches over and gives Star a hug. She's absolutely right, Liz says as she gives Star a wobbly smile. It'll be a long few weeks for the family I'm sure. I just look forward to work picking up a bit, to take my mind off it... |

"Remember dear, any time you need a shoulder, ear or a pair of arms, just come visit me. I am always available. Now about getting that window......" |
"You always did fancy that other stick. At least you came to your senses." I say laughing, "And look at you, you're huge, are you sure there's no giant in your ancestry?" I say, smiling, as I look up at my old classmate. "Well it seems as if I'm related to the Lupin family, and another person on this level, her name's Corvus. My cousin Onikami, you remember him right? Yeah, well he figured it out." |
Joseph laughed. "No, I'm not realted to any giants. Just big. I don't think I'm really related to anyone in the ministry." Joseph smiled, looking down at his old friend. |
"Yeah, well you're still huge. Probably one of the reasons you were put in this division." I say smiling as I now pull out my sketchbook to show him it. "Oh, and I've gotten better at using my photographic memory, this picture is a great example." |
Joseph took the sketchbook and looked voer the picture. "Well, your drawing has definitely gotten better. But...what is this?" He, looked up and grinned. "It looks...strange." He gave Xire his sketchbook back. "I, don't know what your talking about either. What does my size have to do with me being in the Werewolf Capture Unit?" |
I look at the sketch book, and say, "Joeseph, you were holding the book upside down, that's a griffyn." I smile at my tall friend and say, "Your hieght'll help because it'll make you look slightly more intimidating, thus making a werewolf think twice before lunging. Plus your strength'll help." |
Allison smiled at the class reunion in front of her. She went back to arranging some stuff on her desk. She slipped a notebook out of her desk and scribbled in it for a while. |
"Well," Joseph said, leaning against his desk and looking at the sketchbook. "Oh, now I see it." He laughed. "I guess you're right. I was actually hoping to get into the Dragon Bureau. That sounds like more fun. Even though This place sounds fun as well." |
Star was glad to get a chance to go back to her office. The meeting her and Liz had been to seemed to go on forever. She sat down at her desk and started going through the memos that had piled up on her desk. Her laptop beeped and said, "You have mail. " 'Oh, My granddaughter has e-mailed me!" Hi, Gramma, Will you be coming to dinner this Sunday? Mom wants to know. E-mail me when you know, you know how Mom is about all the owls. :) Love Jenesis Black |
"Problem is, I don't think a dragon would paticularily care how large someone is, unless its hungry. Size wouldn't truly matter in that division as much as magical experience. Werewolves could be restrained by a large and strong person, not dragons." I say, smiling and beging to continue the sketch on the griffyn. "So...how've you been doing since school?" |
Joseph smiled, "I guess you're right." He watched as Xire continued to sketch his Griffin, which he coul start to see. "I've been doing great, stayed in the Muggle area as a fencer. When that didn't work out I just kind of roamed until I decided to apply for the ministry, it's probably the best decision I've made yet." |
"Well, it bloody well worked out, right? If you've been wondering, I was retrieving creatures for people, but didn't complete my lst one due to my concious." I smile as I once again raise the book. "And this is him." |
Liz walks in, and sees Star at her desk. She sits down and opens on her laptop. Tapping her pen on her desk, while she waits for it to boot up. She suddenly realizes that she forgot to send that email out, and it was due last Friday! Oops, now where was that email she had typed up... She reaches into her bowl and takes out a peppermint, and sits sucking on it, lost in thought. |
"Does that mean you kept it? I thought the ministry didn't allow that?" He smiled. "I like that, we're gonna be good friends here, so don't go and get yourself fired, comprendae?" |
Star looks up after replying to her granddaughter. 'I need a cup of tea' she thinks to herself. She notices that Liz has returned to her desk. "I'm going to the breakroom to make a cup of tea, dear" she says to Liz. "Would you like any thing while I out?" |
"No, I think I'm good right now", Liz says as she looks up. "Thank you though Star!" |
