"Whatever we need you for," replied Violet. "It's all in the letter you recieved when you were accepted into the position." (ooc: you got a PM telling you your Ministry job.) She restacked a pile of folders on her desk. "Mostly you just do reports and things like that, but there is the occasional mission. A few days ago everyone on level four went into the Forbidden Forest to try and talk with the centaurs about problems that have come up. The mission was unsuccesful, so we're going back soon with a new Department Head, Mr. Santana."

"Oh I can't wait to get my first mission" she had put family photos on her desk, she then sat behind her desk.

Violet smiled at her. "It's scarier than you'd think. You'll get a chance very soon." She watched the girl unpack. "I have to go attend to my duties. Is there anything else you'd like to know?"

"No, I will just have to wait for my first report or mission" she smiled at her "It is just pictures of my parents."

"A report will be in for you shortly. You'll find it on your desk." Violet smiled. "If any more questions come to mind, I won't be far." She glanced at the pictures. "Very nice. Don't put up too many decorations. Memos zoom in pretty fast. They've been known to knock down pictures and break them before." She spared Katalin a professional nod and walked briskly out. Her heels clicked against the floor and faded away to nothing as she disappeared down the corridor.

Katalin returned the nod and waited for her first memo to arrive on her desk, she was still excited about her first day.

This newly joined office of the Beast Division deals with some of the most volatile creatures of the magical world - centaurs and dragons.

Communications between Centaurs and Wizards can be dangerous if not handled by properly trained wizards and witches. All employees working here have the knowledge and skills to prevent communications from getting dangerous and violent.

And when communications have no purpose, as with dragons, research and means of restraint are often necessary. This office attempts to uncover everything there is to know about each breed of dragon and utilizes that information to restrain troublesome dragons when necessary.

All employees of this new office will work together to both liaise with the centaurs and research or restrain dragons as needed.

Evan strolled into the office, only to find it empty. He supposed he was early or something. Not quite knowing what to do, he decided to file a case on Reggie, the name they had given a (female) dragon from Denmark who's eggs were sold on the black market. They still had yet to recover the last. He suspected it was somewhere in Egypt.

He sat down at his new desk and began filing the papers, signing where her was supposed to and adding information here and there. This job was definitely not proving riveting, but it wasn't that bad. He did make a mental note to bring coffee next time.

Violet walked into the office. She had only just received the memo that her previous office, the Centaur office, had been combined with the Dragons office. As such, she did not see that the room was not entirely empty until the person moved.

Violet's eyes flicked to him. It was a new employee. Excellent. She put her things down on the nearest desk and approached him. Her heels clicked loudly against the floor.

"Hello, my name is Violet Silvermoon. I am your Division Head. You must report to either me or Mr. Santana. Who are you?" she asked, her commanding demeanor emanating as strong as ever.

Evan smiled cooly and handed her a note he had recieved for his placement. "Neither you nor Mr. Santana were in the office when I arrived this morning. I have a deadline on this paperwork. Have to send it out to Copanhagen by noon, see?"

He gestured vaguely to the papers. "Can't wait very long when dealing with dragon eggs. They have tendendency to hatch, you know. I'm Evan Pryce, byt the way."

Violet took the note and examined it. "This seems to be in order," she admitted, handing it back. "Be sure that you meet all deadlines. We're very serious about that." She regarded him with her unsettling violet eyes. "I trust you are aware of all your duties here. Please check in with me or Mr. Santana every so often, Mr. Pryce. I'd like to see how you're coming along."

Evan nodded, "Of course, Ms. Silvermoon." He was replying to all of her comments. The disiplinary attitude he was sure she had wasn't going to make them best friends, but her could deal. He thought he remembered a Violet... Ravenclaw and a couple years behind him at Hogwarts. He had a terrible memory for names and faces though.

Violet studied him for a moment and rather thought he seemed familiar. Perhaps he had been at Hogwarts with her. Maybe he'd been friends with her husband--then boyfriend, of course. She spared him a smile. "Thank you. Please know that you are welcome here. Do you have any questions?"

Demelza walked confidently along the corridors, glancing at the gold plaques hanging on each of the doors. She was afraid she was late, and that wouldn't do on her first day.

When she reached the door she was looking for, she saw it stood wide open. She hesitated, not knowing whether or not to knock. Making up her mind, she took a step inside.

A man and a woman were already in there. "Excuse me," said Damelza. "I'm starting work here today. My name's Damelza Penndragon." She strode forewards gracefully to shake hands with the woman, and smiled down at the man.

"Nope, none at all. Well, do happen to know a--" he was going to ask if she knew a boy with the last name Silvermoon, who had been in his year. Cripes he hadn't been back to England in a long time! But a young woman walked into the room and his train of thought was lost. He'd ask her again, if he could remember the name... and he had been pretty good friends with the guy...

"Hello Damelza, I'm Evan Pryce," he said, nodding at her. "Your first day, too?"

Demelza beamed at Evan, pleased that people seemed to be friendly enough, and moved over to shake his hand.
"Yes," she nodded. "So you're new? Well, its good to know," She smiled a small smile. "So, what's the work load?"

Katalin walked into the office, it was different now the two departments have been put together. She walks to her desk and looks to see what paperwork she needs to do.

Violet looked up as someone entered the room. The woman's face was unfamiliar...and so was her name. Another new employee. There had been a lot of new people coming in lately.

She shook the Demelza's hand, a smile on her face and the professional air back in place. "I'm Violet Silvermoon. I'm your division head. You can take any of the free desks." She gestured towards the back of the room, where a row of desks stood stolidly, unoccupied. "Do you have any questions for me?" she asked.

Violet raised her eyebrows. Did she know a...who? Well, it could hardly be important. She gave him a nod. "No questions from you, then? all right. Don't forget to come and see me if any come to mind."

She knew Violet from her department, there was no paperwork waiting for her. She decides to wait to see if Violet has anything for her.

Violet looked up at Katalin. She smiled at her. "I'll be with you in a moment," she promised, before turning back to Demelza and Evan. She thought again about how many new employees were suddenly appearing. It was like someone had dropped off a big box of them at the front door. Violet shook her head mentally and laughed to herself.

She waited patiently for Violet to get to her, she played with her engagement ring. Any week now she was going to be Mrs J.J. Starr, she smiled.

"I think i'm good," Replied Demelza. "Whats the work load situation? I can get to work immediatly." she smiled an excited smile.

She looked round at all the new recruits but her mind was still on her upcoming wedding.

Demela looked at the woman, and her eyes strayed to her fingers. She was wearing an engagement ring. Demelza didn't want to say anything, but smiled a congratulatory smile.

Katalin saw the girl on the next desk smiled at her, she smiled back maybe she could go over and talk to her.
