The first thing that catches your eye is a rather large desk near the door, with a giant nameplate bolted into the front reading:
The wizards and witches in this division have to keep tabs on any magic that goes amiss. If a young witch or wizard who does not have much control over their magic accidentally casts a spell that goes haywire, it is their job to fix it. When on an assignment, work together as a team to find the correct spell to reverse the situation, and then be sure to report it to the Head Office. | |

How are they ever going to get experience though, if we don't give them the opportunity? I have confidence in all of you that you'll do your jobs no matter the amount of time you've been here." "I agree. I think that they should only be paired with a senior if they really want them though. I think the option would be reassuring to those who arent...comfortable being alone."
She watched as Jake took in her words and shrugged a little as her thoughts consumed her. Something about him was awfully familiar. She folded her arms and pushed the thought away. Far away. She didn't want crazy thoughts popping up on her about her co-workers. She pulled her sweatshirt down and took a seat at her desk, brushing some hair out of her face.

A memo flies into the office in the shape of a little bird. The bird is going haywire, hitting the back of Dan's head before finally landing with a soft thud in Alicia's lap. Hmm, you better open it! Quote: Mock Mission:
Look over the following mission and complete the tasks that come afterwards. Be sure to take all given information into consideration. Once you finish, write down all the information you needed to answer and send it along to Ben Cobblesten's inbox. THIS IS NOT A REAL MISSION. I don't want of you running around like chickens with their heads cut off, apparating out of the Ministry left and right!
On Tuesday, Katrina Erickson accidently managed to transfigure her arms onto her dog. It is unknown what type of spell she was trying to use, or what she was trying to accomplish, but we believe it was a Switching Spell gone wrong.
-Figure out what she was trying to switch her arms for
-Why was she switching things in the first place?
-Think of possible reasons the spell could have gone wrong
-Decide whether or not she needs to go to St. Mungos
(If this were a real mission, you would try and reverse the spell on the scene on both the dog and Katrina)

Becca saw a the memo fly around out of control, eventually landing on Alicia's lap."May I see that? "she asked.
Once Alicia handed her the memo, she opened it up and read it.
"Well it look slike we will have to wait to get to know eachother a little better." she said. "We have a mock mission!"
She read it out loud, then looked around at her employees.This was her first mock mission, and she wasn't 100% sure what to do, but she knew she had to be a leader.
She cleared her throat.
"Okay, the first thing I want to hear, is some of your opinions." she said. ""Does anyone have any suggestions on what she was trying to switch her arms? Or even what made the spell go wrong?"

She looked around at them. "Come on! I want to here all you ideas! WHy did the spell backifre? WHy was she trying to switch her arms? What was she trying to originally switch her arms for? Do you think she needs to got to St.Mungo's?" she said. "This is a team effort."

"How would switching arms with a dog make her right- handed... Maybe she was just practicing the spell and th dog was in the room when it backfired... But I think Dan is right in that she needs to go to St. Mungo's... Even if we put the arms on th right bodies, she could need something to calm the nerves more than a Calming Potion..." She was having trouble putting her finger on the reason why.

"Maybe she was trying to switch her arms with something else..." Llewelyn thought aloud, "Something not having to do anything with the dog. Maybe her spell just backfired and she ended up attatching her arms to the dog on an offchance."
"Perhaps we could have the healer give the woman a simple dose of Gregory's Unctuous Unction to calm her down? That way the woman is under the allusion that the healer is her very best friend, and it might make her easier to cooperate with."

She could remember when it had been used to connect Hannah Abbot's leg to her body during Apperation lessons, but she couldn't think of the name...

A memo flies into the office. Rather than being all decorated in an origami figure as usual, it's just a plain memo, with an "URGENT" stamp written across the front. Quote: ATTENTION!
All active employees of the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes are to report to the Level 3 Conference Room to discuss urgent developments in the Ministry. Please put all other missions/assignments on hold for the time being. Hopefully, this meeting will not take a lot of time out of your day. Please bring a parchment and quill as notes will be required and of the upmost importantance. Thank you.
