Farren smiled when jake apperated in. "Hello jack, No i havent seen anyone. I just got here a minute before you did." She smiled. "Ah yes, I didnt do as well as i thought i could. Im sorry for that." SHe looked down a little ashamed that she didnt get her job done very well.

Lance walks in the office with a tray of coffees, milks and sugar. At this point, he knew he was probably the last one there. Putting everything on the table near the door, he walks straight toward his desk. He had no clue what everyone was talking but he wanted to get down to buisiness as soon as possible. This was rather unusual for Lance to be that quiet but he didn't want to disturb whatever was going on.

"Well Jake have you ever heard of someone called Claxton" said Dan

Edith walked up to Jake Reily's desk and paused. He was busy. So she stood back and waited. Reagan had told her to come down and introduce herself. So that is what she was doing.

"Jack? Who's Jack?" Jake asked looking around "Are you ok? I don't see anyone else here by that name. Did the obliviators mess with your memory Farren? Should I be concerned?" Jake playfully teased Farren when she called him by the wrong name. "As for your coworkers, I'll have to send out a search party soon if they don't show."

"Ahhh, finally. I was just telling Farren I was about to send out a search party. At least you come bearing gifts. I guess the idea of putting a different hex on each of you for being late and letting you try to figure out how to cure it yourself can wait." Jake smirked as he grabbed a coffee.

Jake was so distracted, he had almost forgotten Dan was there. "Sorry, I think my mind was somewhere else for a moment. Claxton you say? Hmmm, the name doesn't ring a bell. Should I know him or her?"

Jake looked up and saw an unfamiliar face walk into the office. "Hmmm, could you possibly be one of the brave new souls I was told was going to join our team? Oh, and how rude of me...." Jake said as he got up from his chair and walked over to introduce himself. Out stretching his hand to shake the woman's hand, he smiled and said, "Jake Reilly, you're one and only Magical Accidents and Magical Castastrophes Division Head at your service. It's very nice to meet you. How can I be of service to you today?"

I'm glad to see new faces and old members returning to the ministry. I'll be setting up some mock missions soon to bring activity up again, so let's spread the word and start getting this division up and going again!!

Edith took Jake's outstretched hand and replied, "I'm Edith Griffiths. I'm the new Liason for this Department. If there is anything you need, anything at all, that needs to be taken to the Minister, don't hesitate to send me a memo."

"Well it's very nice to meet you Edith. A liason you say? Very interesting. Does that mean you'll be spying on us ... erm... I mean checking in on us often?" Jake laughed. "Not that we mind of course, we're always very professional here in this division, aren't we?" Jake smirked. "Care to stay and have a cup of coffee with us, and get to know everyone?" Jake asked offering Edith a cup of coffee.

Edith laughed. "Why thank you Jake, a coffee would be lovely." Edie said, taking the offered cup. "I won't be checking in that way, just to see if you need anything. Only to help, not to judge."

"Help? Hmmm, well at the moment I can't think of anything. It's been really quiet around here. Almost too, quiet. Sort of like the calm before the storm. I'm telling you, it's really strange. I feel like I'm waiting for the chaos to begin or something. Although, when it does, I'm sure I'll be sending a few memos your way." Jake smiled, sipping his coffee. "Have you heard anything about why things are so quiet? Can it really be the muggles are actually behaving themselves? Now that would be really be something...."

Edie sipped her coffee, smiling. "Well I think they may be behaving. Nothing seems to be happening at all. That also means the magical community is behaving themselves as well. Nothing needs to be covered up. Well up on Level One we've been flat out, what with the Minister's wedding and everything."

"The magical community behaving... now that has to be a first! I just got back from a crazy mission at a muggle mall, some little girl stole her mother's wand and set mannequins lose on unspecting muggles. That's been the extent of my missions lately. Pretty pathetic huh? And had it not been for the muggles trying to take control of the situation themselves, I think we would have been in and out of there rather quickly." Jake said shaking his head. "I swear they're the reason we witches and wizards find ourselves getting in trouble from time to time. We're constantly trying to find ways to sneak our magic around them and some of us just don't seem to be as clever as others." Jake laughed.

"The wedding!! Ahhh, I almost forgot. Maybe that's why it's been so quiet around here. Everyone's a bit preoccupied. I'm surprised the liason's aren't over there working the wedding." Jake grinned.

Edie laughed. "Yes the wedding. Reagan told me to come down and see if anyone needed anything. I'm new so she's a bit too bust to tell me what to do, so I'm sort of floating." Edie smiled as she sipped her coffee.

Farren blushed something terrible She couldnt believe she had forgotten her own division heads name. "I'm so sorry Jake. Im usually very good with names." She giggled a little at his next comment. She was wondering where they all were as well. "I think you might just have to do that." She smiled.

"No worries, we all have to start off somewhere and work our way up. Personally I think you're job right now is a lot less stressful then having to worry about all the wedding detail, so you should consider yourself lucky. Besides, you get to hang out with a bunch of fun characters - like my crazy team I have assembled. We have to be a bit colorful, with what we deal with on a daily basis, if we don't keep a sense of humor, we'd go insane."

Jake nodded towards Farren. "It's all good. It was quite the mission. I can understand your brain being a bit fried at the moment," Jake chuckled. "Oh, I'm sorry... Farren, have you met Edith? She's going to be a ministry liason for our division, so if we have any problems the Minister needs to know about, Edith will step in to help us out. Not bad having a liason working with us, huh?" Jake smiled.

Edie laughed. She hadn't laughed this much in a long time. "Believe me I know I'm lucky. As soon as the wedding is over I expect there'll be loads for me to do. Your team looks like it very well assembled and I'm sure you do a great job as well."

Edie stood up, elegantly uncrossing her legs and smoothing her A-line skirt over her legs. She offered her hand to Farren. "It's very nice to meet you, Farren. I'm Edie."

"Who knows, with the way things happen around here...you might just be summoned to the wedding at some point anyway. Let's just hope that nothing happens, that requires that, though." Jake said sipping his coffee.

Jake blushed at the compliment. "Well I certainly try my best. It's all about having fun and working as a team. If you don't get along with the people you work with, then this job would be a nightmare. I have the best people working with me. I expect nothing less than the best, and they always seem to deliver. I'm very fortunate if you ask me."

Edie smiled as he blushed. She had her mother's touch. No don't think about your mother! she told herself. You'll only make yourself angry. She looked back at Jake, sitting back down and crossing her legs sophisticatedly, smoothing her skirt over her legs. "Well that's the only way to do business though. If you don't expect the best, you won't get it."

"Yeah, I ummmm... welll .... I might be a bit hard on these guys sometimes. And I'm sure they'll be the first to tell you that, too." Jake laughed. "But that's just it. You're exactly right. If you don't expect the best, you won't get it. I know these guys are the best at what they do, and that's why I push them to excell all the time, because I know they can and I know they will. I'm telling you though, one of these days they're gonna hate me for it." Jake joked.

Edie looked at him, listening to what he was saying. But why did he stutter and lose his words at the beginning. Edie cocked her head to the side slightly, listening intently. She shifted in her seat slightly and looked at the mug that was still in her hand. The coffee had gone cold. She got her wand out of her her bag and tapped the cup. The coffee started to bubble and it was hot enough to drink. "Well, to excell is to better yourself and your team. I hope they don't hate you too much, they might stop working. Then my job will be on the line too," Edith joked, taking a sip of her newly-warm coffee.

Dan just sat in his chair and ate a muffin.

"Sometimes I wouldn't be suprised if they actually do hate me. I half expect them to throw a jinx at me behind my back or something. Not that I can blame them, I can be a pain in the ummm... well I can be a pain to work with sometimes. But I think I balance things fairly well. I try to mix things up a bit and make things fun. A sense of humor is a requirement when you apply for this job you know." Jake smirked.

"Just ask ol' Dan over there... right Dan... we all have a great sense of humor 'round here?" Jake teased Dan, who had grown quiet, which was very unusual for the usually very feisty man.

"Everything alright over there? Or are you just enjoying the down time for the moment?"

Edith kept sipping her coffee and laughed. "A sense of humour is never a bad thing. Balance is good too. I'm yet to see exactly how things roll in the Minister Offices. Everythings been a bit messed up at the moment. Everything will be fine once the wedding's over"

"What a time to come into the Ministry . . . with all these things happening. It must give you quite the impression. I hope it's not a negative one. Not all things about the Ministry are bad, despite what you might hear outside of here. But as far as things being ok after the wedding, this is the wizarding world, there's never a dull moment. Once one crazy event is over, a new one is lurking around the corner. I just wish I had the intuition to know what it was." Jake laughed.

Edie laughed. "Not a negative impression, no. Level One is in such disarray at the moment you can't speak to anyone with out them thinking you have something to do with the wedding. Reagan is always in a bad mood because she is the maid of honour. But things should quieten down slightly, at least it won't be so, I don't really know the word. Knowing what was coming next would be great gift! It would help so much." Edie laughed again, putting her empty coffee cup down.

Hallie walked into the office with a determined, nervous look on her face. So much had gone wrong already today, hopefully nothing else would spoil it. She put her coffee on her desk and looked at the small stack of papers on her desk curiously.
