Lima posted a memo so that her employees could see it:

An experimental potion-infused ale was accidentally delivered to a pub. Patrons imbibing the ale turned invisible, in part and in whole (depending on how much they drank).

a) Determine what potion was used
b) Correct the problem in the ale
c) Repair any damage done

Obviously, this is not a real mission, but a way to get you guys to brainstorm and problem-solve to get experience for a real mission when it occurs. We need to solve for each part, and when we are done, send a copy of our work over to Ben.

''Well done Hallie'' Alicia said, clapping lightly. She cocked her head to the left as Lima pinned a notice up.

''Mock Mission?'' She said to herself as she read. When she reached the end of the memo she laughed. ''Invisible ale drinkers...''

Was her cloak done up tightly (painfully)? Yes. Good. C.C Woods scowled, holding onto the collar of the black material as she looked around the door on Level Three; it looked promising, but she needed more than that. She needed results from professionals, or else she was in rather a lot of trouble with more than one person on more than one count.

Unwillingly, she stepped in. These should be able to help her, right? It was the Reversal Squad, right? If it was, it was these, and then sort out that darned spell on her lower body (preferably quickly - she was sick of hitting her legs against doors and not knowing she was about to beforehand). She'd just prefer to have her own head again first.

'Is there anyone here who could help?' she called - no, wait. That was a voice that came from inside the hood; C.C's lips hadn't moved. That would be the voice that wasn't meant to be there; C.C reluctantly let her hood sag to her shoulders, revealing the extra head and the reason she needed help.

She'd better be in the right place now, or she was going to go mental.

Lima heard someone asking for help and came out of her office. It was someone from Special Ops. "What's the problem?" she asked as she headed over to them. Was this her first real Mission? Seemed like it might be.

Somebody was coming; that was good. C.C turned to her, cloak flapping around her invisible ankles, her displeasure evidently written across her original face. 'Polyjuice potion,' she muttered, embarrassed; a blush stole across the features of the blonde, while the dark-haired head simply snorted. 'Look, I don't care how you do it or if you think I'm rude - but can you sort this stupid thing out?' She gestured to the other head, who scowled.

'It's her own idiocy,' the other woman mocked. 'Trying to impersonate me - serves you right getting me attached to you.' She stuck her tongue out.

She managed not to gasp, though her brows raised so high that they practically reached her hairline. This was a new one for sure. And she felt bad for them both. "Well... this is very unusual for Polyjuice potion, but I'm sure we can help you. Don't worry," she said trying to reassure her.

The blonde didn't fail to notice the other witch's shock. Well, who wouldn't when a person had an extra head that acted just like the person you'd been intending to impersonate? 'Unusual?' Was C.C the first of her kind? Oh, no; that would be just her luck. Pray tell me no, she begged mentally. 'What can you do to help?' she persisted desperately - she wanted a cure and fast! She didn't like having an extra head that acted just like Serena, not at all. In fact, she'd take her invisibility problem over this any day. And that was saying something.

And don't worry? Though she didn't comment, she internally thought (and was sure the other head was thinking the same thing) how could one not worry?

There, standing in the doorway of the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad, was the 5'1ft. Division Head for the Invisibility Task Force. Miss Abigail Kendra Weather. With her arms crossed, she eyed the little scene in front of her with one eyebrow raised. She sensed there was something going on down here and she wanted to check it out. And, lo and behold, there stood Lima with a woman with...OMG! THAT LADY HAD TWO HEADS!!!

Her jaw slightly dropped as she just stared at the woman. In her 26 years of living on this planet, she has never seen anything like this before! "Uh, hello?" She finally said. "I'm Abigail Weather. I work for the Invisibility Task Force. Is there anything I can help with the..." She motioned her hand to one of the girl's heads.

Lima was seriously not very sure what to do to help this woman seeing as she wasn't even sure of what was going on. "Please tell me the whole story here. It might help me if I know everything that happened."

Then she suddenly heard Abby's voice. Aah, help. Very good. "Seems that there has been an issue with Polyjuice potion."

Another voice; automatically, C.C turned to it, hoping it was someone else who could help with at least one or her problems. She forced a smile, clamping one hand over Serena's mouth, at the introduction. Invisibility task force? Invisibility? Good! She breathed a sigh of relief.

'Maybe you can help with my other problem?' she asked, almost begging as she twitched aside the lower part of her cloak to reveal ... more cloak. She grimaced looking down. 'My charm didn't do what I wanted it to do and now I look like a torso floating in mid air.' Which she would actually prefer over having two heads, strangely enough.

The whole story? C.C turned back to the first woman, biting her lip. The whole story ... well, it would be the whole story - minus why she tried to impersonate someone in the first place. 'I tried to make Polyjuice potion so I could impersonate this one -' She gestured to the black head attached to her body, '- and managed to steal a few hairs from her hairbrush. Of course, I added them, downed a portion of the potion ... next thing I knew, I had her head next to my own. It looks, thinks and acts exactly as she would.' Her hand was still firm over Serena's mouth, but she quickly retracted it when it was bitten in a huff.

'I thought I'd done the potion right ... I don't know what went wrong!' Oh, she was close to tearing her hair out now - she had better not have to walk around like this for the rest of her life.

Abigail's eyes looked over over at Lima when the girl explained what had happened. "An issue with Polyjuice potion," she repeated. She finally left the doorway and headed over to the two girls and honestly wandered if there was anything to do to help this girl. Accidental Magic wasn't her area of expertize, yet, she could always try to help!

She looked at the girl with two heads when she started addressing her. Other problem? OTHER PROBLEM?! Dear merlin, this girl couldn't have two problems they needed to deal with, could she? When the girl moved the lower part of her cloak, Abigail's eyes looked down to only see... "More cloak..." she remarked. She looked back up at the girl when she mentioned using a charm. "What charm did you use?" She questioned.

She stood there with her hands on her hips as she listened to the girl's story. "Another question," she announced. "How did you brew the Polyjuice potion? Would there be any ingredients that you might have- you know- forgot to put in there?" She looked towards Lima and gave her a little smile. She knew the more answers they got, the more they would know about how to help this girl. She doubted the girl wanted to go on in life with two heads!

She listened to the woman intently. So she had brewed the potion up to standard. Well, in theory at least. She obviously made a mistake in the brewing process. But that was something that they could hopefully get to the bottom of.

And Merlin's Pants, that wasn't her only problem. "I.. see," was all she could say when she saw that the woman was half Invisible as well. Poor thing.

She listened to Abs and said, "yes, that was sorta where I was going to go in the line of questioning." Seemed that they thought along the same lines. "But don't you think you should try to help the Invisibility issue first, Abs?" She couldn't help but stare at the woman. She didn't mean to be rude but she couldn't help it.

"Can you tell me step by step everything you did to brew this potion? That's asking a lot, but it might be helpful. I need to see where you went wrong. If you didn't wait enough time in between ingredients, left something out, added the wrong quantity. Or did something in the wrong order."

She watched with anxious eyes as the woman looked down at her invisible lower body. Oh, yes; she was having the best time of her life right now. 'Disillusionment charm,' she answered immediately. 'I wanted to hide from the Muggles on my way here.' Like that had worked. If anything, had she actually emerged into the eyes of Muggles she'd have been more conspicuous than before.

Another question? At least this one was more practical and helped with the more obvious problem. She frowned, thinking through the ingredients she'd gathered and used. 'I don't think so,' was her hesitant answer, emphasising the word "think". Now that she'd used the potion, she couldn't be a hundred percent ... but pride would never let her admit she absolutely got it wrong.

No way.

Step by step ... C.C's frowned deepened as she thought harder. 'I gathered all the ingredients the book told me to,' she began, folding her arms as she thought. 'Lacewing flies, leeches, fluxweed, powdered Bicorn horn, boomslang skin ...' Was that all she'd gathered? No, there were some other things, weren't there; things she couldn't remember the name of. 'I can't remember the names of the other ingredients.'

She assumed the woman wanted the steps as well; but did she only expect, in light of everything that had happened, C.C would remember it all? 'I let the lacewing flies brew for three weeks while I started making it following the instructions and extracted the Bicorn horn ...' Hmm. She really needed to work on her memory. 'I don't remember exact steps,' she explained, almost apologetically.

It was indeed plausible she'd used the wrong quantity for something - after all, measurements weren't something she was very good at. Would that need mentioning? If that was the likely cause ... 'But I'm not good at measuring things out. I had a friend help me for most of it ... but not all. Could that be what happened?'

Dora decided to go for a bit of a walk around her level, she had not properly inspected things and she didn't like not knowing her way around places. She wandered down the corridor until she saw Abigail, her Department Head (well one of them) in the office for the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad. " 'Lo Abigail, what're you doing down here?" Dora inquired. She wasn't sure whether or not Abigail would tell her, it may be none of her business.... Then she looked over and saw the girl with two heads who was also semi invisible. "Blimey, had a rough day, huh dear?!"

Melanie knocked at the office door and made her way in. She had received a memo from Ben saying that there was a situation happening in the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad and her office help was needed.

She looked around trying to catch what was wrong and what she saw was something she had never seen. There was a woman there, apparently without legs but with more than one head. Melanie moved carefully around the room and to face the woman.

"What happened ?" she asked to Lima, the Division Head, and to the woman with the two heads.

She nodded as the lady listed off the ingredients she used. She was right so far. And got it from a book. Hopefully it was a credible one? "What book did you use, may I ask? It's probably credible but I want to know for sure." It would be really great if the lady had it on her as well, but she wasn't so sure that she would. Shame, really.

"I know it's hard for you to remember the steps but you're doing good so far." It must be hard for her to think under all this stress. She could only imagine how freaky this must be for her.

"Well, I was asking the other things just to be sure. But I think that the issue is related to not using enough of a certain ingredient. Or ingredients." Seemed to be a partial transformation to her. "You said your friend helped you for most of it. Did she add some things to the potion? Measured? If so, is she as good at measuring things as you are?"


She looked up when she saw two people she didn't really know approach. "Seems that she had some bad luck with Polyjuice potion. After a failed attempt to become Invisible." She still had no idea why the woman had wanted to be Invisible, but at this point she didn't find it highly relevant to ask.

Abigail nodded her head when the girl answered her question. "Well, dear. It's sad to say that the Disillusionment Charm takes time before it completly wears off," she explained. "It honestly depends on how well you casted the charm, you see." She paused for a moment or two and tapped her chin with her finger. Hmm. Maybe there was a charm or potion that could reverse the spell of the Disillusionment Charm, but she highly doubted it. She only knew that it took time for the effects to wear off.

"Are you good at casting charms? Please, be honest. Knowing if you are a good spell caster might help with determining how long that spell might last," she told the girl. "Also, when you cast the Disillusionment spell you need to point you wand at your head and when you cast it it should feel like broken raw egg has fallen on your head. Did that happen?" She raised her eyebrow at the girl, waiting for her answer.

Hearing her name, Abigail turned around to face no other than one of her employees, Nymphadora Lovegood. Ah, yes! It was good to finally have some back-up. "Yes, Dora. This girl has casted the Disillusionment Charm on her body," she explained. "Yet, something went wrong and only her lower body went invisible." She glanced back at the girl with two heads and added, "She also drank Polyjuice potion and the effects, well, didn't turn out do great." That was probably noticeable. It was kind of hard not to notice that she had two heads.

It seems something went wrong when the lady casted it on herself and only her lower body seems to be invisible. I know it takes time for the effects of the Dillusionment Charm to wear off. I'm correct, right? Or is there a spell that can make her lower body appear back to normal?" She still didn't think there was a spell that can reverse the affects on the Disillusionment Charm.

Mel heard both explanations carefully. She approached the woman being affected by the Polyjuice effects and the Disillusionment Charm. " Did you feel like someone split cold water on you when you casted the disillusionment charm?" she asked her before answering to Abigail " Disillusionment Charms when cast correctly can be taken back. The signs if it has been casted correctly is if the person affected feels like cold water being poured down her head, or this case... her legs I suppose. Because most people describe becoming visible again by feeling warmth." she looked at the second head, which seemed totally independent from the body where she was attached to " But this " she waved her wand in it's direction " It's totally knew, I've never heard of a case where polyjuice potion actually creates another individual, there must have been something wrong with the ingredients, or the person in stake"

She stretched a finger in the direction of the woman and asked her "Can I?" gesturing towards the other head. She wanted to feel the point where the other head joined her body, to see if she could detect something there " I'm hopping this extra brain will go away once the potion effects wore off...other wise..." she wrinkled her nose.

Piper walked into the Room, she had been told Melanie was here, and look.. there she was. Along with Dora, and three other people she didn't know. Piper almost immediately shrank back as she looked at all the other people in the room. She slunk up behind Melanie and sorta looked over her shoulder, attempting to find out what was going on.

What book? Was she expected to remember ever trivial piece of information in this situation? She barely managed to stop herself growling softly in irritation. At least she had good control over that aspect of her personality. But to remember the name of the book ...

'Something about "potent",' C.C answered, unsure - but she was saved by a sigh from Serena and her dutiful answer, 'Moste Ponte Potions.' Her tone had been a bored but slightly amused one; although why she didn't voice.

Any quiet image that may have been given already (she hadn't really butted in, had she?) was ruined when the first woman asked about the measurements. Serena ended up snorting, shaking her head as if it were one of the funniest things she'd heard in years. Biting the hand C.C had slapped over her mouth, she proceeded to answer the question with, 'I hope you're not insulting my potion skills. Neither my actual body nor this - sometimes useful - mind on her body would dare mess up a potion on purpose.' There was the unspoken addition, of course: Unless it was known that it would be used on me. 'I happen to have graduated with an "O" in my Potions NEWT.' There was no denying the smugness in her voice.

Well, of course she knew that! She hadn't left school with no knowledge! C.C felt a tad infuriated by the way she was being talked to by the woman from the Invisibility Task Force. A muscle next to her right eyebrow twitched. 'I easily attained myself an "E" in Charms,' she replied cooly. 'And yes, it did; the sensation is rather horrid.' Was it just her or did it seem like there was more talking and little work going on?

Her face fell when others walked in. Deciding she had no need to answer their initial questions, she simply scowled - honestly, the way people were acting about this second head was like they'd never seen a Polyjuice potion go wrong this way before!

Well, they probably hadn't, but that was beside the point.

'I've already answered that question; yes.' Why did she feel like folding her arms and sulking in a dark corner like a child? That wasn't a very mature thought, but it was honestly how she felt when surrounded by these people. Like she was a child who'd done magic surrounded by Muggles.

Maybe that wasn't the right analogy, but that was what it felt like to C.C.

Oh, brilliant. She fought back the desire to protest loudly in a well-chosen few words when someone else stated or acted like it was new or unusual. Those words would be forever imprinted in her brain from today on - but both minds were brought back to the present at her question.

It was Serena who answered (after all, it was her neck). 'Feel free.' Her tone was now exhausted; being gawked at or examined was tiring.

Melanie chuckled a little. She could tell the woman was getting annoyed with all the questions but now answer. " I'm sorry" she said and advanced cautiously to touched the neck carefully. " Well, one thing is certain, we can't try and take it out by force, I think it has a jugular of it's own attached to your heart, and it might kill you as well. So we really need to reverse it" she sighed a little and looked the woman in the eye " I'm sorry, I haven't asked your name yet. I'm Melanie" she smiled apologetically " and I don't know if they have already asked you this, but you don't have, by any chance, a sample of the polyjuice potion you made? just a drop in the end of the cauldron or the cup..?"

This was a hard case, it wasn't just a polyjuice potion gone wrong, it was a polyjuice potion gone widely wrong, so wrong that it endangered this woman's life. She could try and take the disillusionment spell off. " We can try to take the Disillusionment off, but seeing your condition we have no guarantee it will work. We will probably have to wait until you're back to your normal condition." she looked around for that department's support. After all she came there as an extra hand, at least that was what Ben's memo said.

She could feel Piper peeking from her shoulder. She sighed a little.

She frowned at the woman's tone. "I get that you are upset, but I'm trying to help you here. I'm not trying to insult you or your intelligence. I'm trying to figure out what's caused this." She was trying not to lose her temper, but she always was feisty and she couldn't take people being rude to her. It was all impulse for her.

She listened at she woman spoke. "Yes, I agree that it has to be reversed." But how to do it? She had no idea since she never heard of anyone with this problem as far as she remembered. "We never got to asking her for a sample yet." Maybe she should have asked that first. Instead of annoying the woman with questions she thought would help.

That was what C.C had been afraid of; being unable to remove it by force would involve a lengthy process that would just lengthen the time she was forced to live with the extra head. 'Reversing it would involve what?' she asked, worried. It had been painful enough growing the extra head rather than transforming - would it be just as painful?

Well, someone had a bit of decency: though slightly strained, C.C managed to smile in return. 'C.C Woods,' she answered, just as the other head replied, 'Serena Johnson.' Ugh. it was annoying! Why couldn't she shut up?

Now ... any remaining potion? She thought back to the basement in which she'd brewed it. 'I vanished the remainder in the cauldron,' she said slowly, trying to make sure her memory was straight. 'But not until I'd poured myself two vials.' Hmm. Now, what did she do with the vial she didn't take? 'I can't think where I put the second, but I don't think I kept it on my person after taking the first. I only thought I needed one dose or so - the second vial was a backup.' As if to double check, her hands dipped into the pockets of her cloak only to come back empty. Huh; it must still be at the house somewhere.

Huh. So she wasn't the only one getting annoyed at things. C.C smiled an apologetic smile at the woman; she was trying to help, after all, even if it was taking a long time and there were questions - lots of questions.

Melanie chuckled as the other head always seemed to have something to say " Nice to meet you C.C... and Serena. Well reversing the process... I'm afraid it would be as painful as it was to happen, since the head would shrink to your torso again.." she was sure that that wasn't a pleasant thing.

She thought for a moment, and something came to her mind " I we could get our hands on that other vial, we could try and decompose the ingredients, and make like an antidote. You remember potions back at Hogwarts? There are ways to find out every ingredient in a potion, catalog it and make the proper antidote. Thinking that this specific Polyjuice potion didn't do it's work, we can assume that there was something wrong, and it turned it into a kind of poison.. right? And even if that doesn't work we can always analyze it!" she was pacing back and forward, thinking about this possibility.

"I agree, we definitely need that other vial, if that's possible," turning to the girl(s) she stuck out her hand and said, I'm Dora, by the way, it's lovely to meet... er, both of you." She was trying to think of what else they could possibly do... "Do you all think that giving her a bezoar could counteract the Polyjuice Potion?" she said turning to the other witches standing about. Her hair had started to change colors again as she was in deep thought. She had definitely never seen anything of the sort. "As for the dissilussionment charm, I think we should try to take care of that first," thought Dora.
