Abandoned Warehouse (Plot for Accidents and Catastrophes) When you first hear that you'll be practicing spells and counterjinxes in an abandoned warehouse, you're not exactly sure what to think. Then again, this IS Mr. Cobblesten you're talking about--Merlin knows what goes through his mind half the time. As you enter the old warehouse and get a look around, you see that someone has cleaned it very maticulously, so that even the floors are somewhat shiny now. In front of you, you see a line of dummies along the wall. The first one is already in the middle of the room. "Come on, step right up!" the dummy is yelling, and you notice immediately that the voice is none other than Ben's, enchanted to say certain phrases as you practice the charms. None of them are attacking or causing mayhem yet, I think they're waiting for people to show up...I'd be on your guard, though! You never know when one of these dummies will strike! ooc: Here is how things are going to go. If you're posting in here you should be an ACCIDENTAL MAGIC REVERSAL SQUAD or MUGGLE WORTHY EXCUSE COMMITTEE member ONNNLLLLYYY (others may be given permission to play later on in the RP). Please do NOT RP the dummies...I will be in charge of that ;] Usual RP rules apply--no Unforgiveables and stuff like that. If you have any questions please contact Whitterz, Fae or myself. Now, let's have some fun! |
Silas walked into the old warehouse unsure of what to expect. He was anxious to have a chance to get his hands dirty. Smirking as he saw the dummy in the middle of the room, Silas approached. "Alright, dummy," he chuckled. "I'm here. What you got?" |
Sorry I'm slow. Lima followed Silas as he entered the warehouse. She saw all the dummies along the wall as well as the one in the middle of the room. He was yelling in Ben's voice apparently. She had no idea how this would go down, but she was excited. |
Cobain joined his coworkers in the warehouse. He hadn't really been thrilled about work.. but really, who liked their job? He didn't know what to expect. The floors were shiny. Knowing him he'd probably slip and fall in the process of something while in here. He spotted the dummies against the wall as he heard one of them speaking.. odd. "Ladies first." he said as he looked at Lima. |
As more and more people started to pile into the warehouse, the dummy started to twitch. Finally, after there was a small gathering of people in front of him, the dummy started to move and talk once again. "Alright, let's get started!" Ben's voice came out of the dummy again and a wand popped out of it's little plastic hand. It swiveled on the spot and slowly lifted it's doll-like arm and pointed at a tiny pile of wooden boxes a few feet away. There was a WHOOOOOSHing sound and a second later, the boxes had erupted into flames. This wouldn't be toooo much of a hassle for the Squad--it was just a warm up. |
Forgetting himself for a moment, Silas cast a silent protection charm around himself when the dummy raised a wand. When the boxes burst into flames, he chuckled and internally scolded himself. This was accident practice, not dueling. "Aguamenti," he said forcefully, pointing his wand at the flames and watching the water spurt from his wand. |
The dummy raised its metal arms and clapped slowly as the man put out the fire, successfully passing the first drill. The sound of the metal hands clanging together echoed off of the walls, but luckily there was a silencing charm placed around the warehouse so no one on the OUTSIDE could hear it. The dummy stepped out of the way and went to the back of the line as the next dummy walked to the center. Without another word, the dummy lifted it's fake wand and a number of teacups popped out of thin air before they flew through the warehouse and started to circle the employees. A few seconds later, they finally attacked and began to bump against their faces and their arms with enough force to leave a bruise there in the morning. The dummy raised it's wand again and a teapot joined the army, flying after the man who had cast the Aguamenti spell. The hot steam that was clearly coming out of the top of the pot clearly indicated that it was probably NOT filled with something COLD, like butterbeer. |
Amused by the dummy's praise, Silas smirked and gave a small fake bow, lowering his eyes from the dummy. That turned out to be a mistake, because as soon as he looked up, teacups were whizzing by his head to assault his coworkers and a hot, steaming teapot was headed right for him. Eyes wide, Silas straightened up. Ignoring the tea cups - surely the others could take care of them - he narrowed his eyes at the approaching pot. "Reducto!" He cried, jabbing his wand at the teapot, hoping for an explosion, and he quickly followed it with another shielding charm to protect himself and the others from shattering porcelain and spraying hot tea. |
Alicia walked into the warehouse as a teapot exploded and jumped back out the door. Peeking round the door she saw it was safe so once again she walked in. ''Hi... Erm- What have I missed apart from exploding teapots?'' She said warily, cocking her head to the side. |

"Watch. out." He called back. "The teacups still need dealing with." They were still pelting people. Why hadn't they been dealt with? |
Dan walked into the warehouse and was met with a wave of noise. This was unexpected. It had been silent outside. He quickly reached his fellow employs and raised his wand and said "Reducto!" Hoping it would help explode a teacup. "So anything else fun Ive missed?" asked Dan grinning |
Lima turned away from the dummies as to more people joined them. And that was a mistake it seemed as suddenly there she was hit in the back of the head with a tea cup. "OUCH!" she exclaimed rubbing the back of her head which was now sore. "You haven't really missed much," she added as she she flicked her wand and silently performed the Reducto spell on the tea cup that had hit her. |
Matthew trotted into the warehouse, ready to get to work. With the recent news that he was soon to become a father, he decided to become completely commited in his job to support his growing family and set a good example for their child...whatever it may become. "Hello everyone! What's all happening here?!" asked Matthew as he surveyed the ongoings of the room. |
Teacups were exploding. People were getting wacked on the head. Silas barely escaped 2nd degree burns. Utter chaos! However, as more people began to arrive, the dummy stopped attacking and lowered it's wand, causing the teacup attack to cease before moving off to the side as another one rolled out to the middle of the floor. This time, it raised it's wand and with a swish, a bunch of Devil's Snare had appeared at everyone's feet, crawling up the legs of every employee, even pulling Lima down to the floor. Hopefully everyone had brushed up on their Herbology lately! Unknown to the other employees, the REAL Ben snuck into the warehouse just as the Devil's Snare was sent upon the workers, and he wandered over to the corner and pulled out a folding chair, sitting down and crossing his long legs as he watched the employees deal with the newest mess they had been provided. |
Tasha walked in quitely and walked upto Ben. "Hello Ben, I believe the rest of my division should be showing up soon." she said smiling. "Should I wait for instructions, or should I receive them now and then tell the rest of the Division.?" she asked for she was really excited to find out what they were going to do. |
Ben looked up from his chair and grinned, taking his attention away from the employees that were currently tangled in the Devil's Snare. "Hello Tasha!" he said with a grin. "I think we'll just wait until the rest of your employees get here, so we don't start sounding like broken records when we keep informing each new arrival of what they're supposed to do," he explained. He gestured to the small fold up chairs resting against the wall. "In the meantime, take a seat! Watch the show!" he told her with a smile. |
She raised her brow as the tea cups stopped attacking and the dummy went away. She knew that this wasn't over yet. Something new was coming. And sure enough, a new dummy came and cast out a weird looking plant at everyone's feet. Devil's Snare. Well, this one would be easy. Everyone knew that this plant was harmless if you stayed perfectly still. |
Tasha sat down next to Ben. "Well this should be fun to watch" she said while she was giggling. "This is all so exciting isn't it Ben, I mean the Qudditch World Cup is almost here it feels to unreal. Maybe I need to be pinched.?" she said. Looking over at Ben he looked like he was in deep thought of pinching her. "OH, I was just joking please don't pinch me" as she put her hands up in surrender. |
Katherine looked around the place, a little confused. She'd been told to come here, but needing a little help in the explaining of things... She saw Tasha talking to someone, and decided to walk over, hoping she wasn't going to interupt anything. "Hello!" She smiled, "So I'm a little comfused, what are we doing exactly?" Then she heard someone shout, she looked around and was suprised to see that it was dumby. Hmmmm... |
No moving. Or he could use fire. Yeah that would be much faster then just sitting there and waiting. No no he had to relax.Maybe he wasn`t any good at the fire and got himself killed? or what if he died? He closed his eyes and thought of the oceon thats relaxing wasn`t it? |
lol, I'm betting this is hostile, trained Snare. Silas had finally allowed his shield charm to drop once the teacups retreated, but in doing so was momentarily distracted and failed to notice the tendril wrapping it's way around his leg until it was too late. BLAM! Silas was pulled down and slammed against the floor. Tucking his chin to his chest to keep from hitting his head, Silas lay there a moment before realizing that staying still was clearly NOT helping as tje snare wrapped further up his leg. Flicking his wrist, Silas cast a silent severing charm, detaching his personal tendril from the rest. Staggering to his feet, he quickly followed by creating a circle of bluebell flames around him. At least he was safe now. But what about the others? |

"Since we have a few employees from your office here, Tasha, we're going to start," he explained. He casually gestured at the dummies as he began to talk. "These dummies have all been bewitched to think like muggles, and your job is to walk up to any of them--take your pick--and the dummy will ask you a question. Something along the lines of 'why is everyone dressed so weird here?' and your job, is to test one of the excuses you came up with during planning, and watch the dummies reaction. If it isn't very believable, they might tell you so, or act like they don't really understand what you're saying...if it IS very believable, they're going to leave and move against the wall," he said. "Any questions before I set you loose on the dummies?" he asked with a playful grin. Quote:

Silas, it seemed, had taken ALL the precautions against the plant that he could, including surrounding himself with flames to keep the plants at bay. Oh my...that was a bit more extreme than Ben had been thinking when he harvested that Devil's Snare, but it was working! |
Katherine grinned. "Nu-Uh." Wow! this was going to be fun! So now I just have to think like a muggle...think back to your work Kat... Kat walked up to one of the Dummies and waited. What was it going to say? |
Tasha Walked upto her Dummie that she picked, and just waited for she didn't know what the Dummie would say. |
My. It was certainly getting... warm. Silas flicked his wand at the flames he'd put up -- they'd been far too large and terribly over dramatic -- to reduce their size and intensity to something more manageable for himself but still enough to keep the snare at bay. Except, the snare away from him was not doing much for his coworkers currently being wrapped up and their wrists restricted. Would they even be able to cast? Silas looked around and, seeing no one else up (totally oblivious to Ben and the MWEC at the other side of the warehouse), racked his brain for the appropriate spell. Heat and light. Heat and light. Right. "Lumos solem!" |
