| | Meet An Author: Princesspower Witches and Wizards, Ladies and Gentlemen, Scabies and Germs... it's that time again, when we all sit around and read the interview of one of the SS authors!!!
This month... Princesspower author of: SSRPG: 50 Ficlets for Sarah Edwards - Sa13+
So without Further Ado... Droo - Interviewer Princesspower - Interviewee The Powerful Princesspower! My dearest Princesspower! I am here to interview you! You are the next contestant on the pr- Oh... wait... wrong show. But you are the Author we have chosen to feature on this month's Meet an Author! I would love to be interviewed! Great! I will start with a simple question. What was the first book you ever remember reading? As an avid bookworm I cannot remember which one I read first. I do remember reading my older brother's first grade readers though, about Meg, Sam the Dog! I then continued on reading, by the time I was nine I was reading biographies and the schoo library was always out of books for me! I don't think I know that book. Good another for my list of books to read! What got you into reading? A lot of factors resulted in me being the reader I am today. First of all in my house we never had a TV and we still don't have one, as result my siblings and I took to books for entertainment. I am one of the youngest in my family so by the time I was able to rad our home library had quite a collection. My whole family are bookworms too, so I guess I had the right climate for that What? No TV?!?! Wow! Do you have a favorite genre of books? I like Classics, preferably Romance (such a girl I know). I also like the deserted on an island/settler/ frontier life books. *bats eyelashes* aren't we all romantics at heart? LOL! When did you get into Harry Potter and how? My family has had all the computer games so I always remembered my siblings playing them as well as reading them. I played some of the games before the books! Then I began reading them and was absolutely hooked. I have read the series about 10 times now. I read Harry Potter 4 in 4 hours! Hahaha! I think I stopped playng at the forth game myself... When did you begin writing? When was about nine I began. First I wrote awesome stories in school and then I decided to write a book at that age. What?! A Book! At nine!?! Wow... What did you write about? It was basically about a girl who was meant to be three yet she acted like a seven year old. As time progressed though I stopped with that book and began writing a book at age twelve yet I kept on pushing it off and finally completed that novel in August 2012. I wrote my second novel in November 2012. Merlin's Empty Quill! I have YET to write a novel... tell me, is there a method to the way you write? Not really! I just let things flow and try to keep in mind beginning middle and end. I wish others would help me with their methods for characterization though. I guess I envy you that. I can't keep a middle and end in my mind at all! LOL! That's why I don't do a whole lot of fanfic... Though that's what brought me to Snitchseeker... What brought you to Snitchseeker? Well it was actually my friend Tali (talikins). She kept on talking about SS and my interest piqued I went to check it out for myself. And here I am a year a bit later! YAY!! Congrats on ONE YEAR!!! I'd love to know what inspires you to write. People, events, pressure, when at school idea come to me. Pressure? Now I wouldn't have guessed that at all. Have you written many other Fanfics? Is HP the only genre you write? No other fanfics... I write other genres like contemporary and historical fiction. Historical fiction? I'd love to read those! Do you have any favorite authors? As I have a lot of books I have plenty... Here I go: Louisa M. Alcott, Eleanor H Porter, JK Rowling, Anne Fine, C.S. Lewis, Anthony Horowitz, Enid Blyton (on her Malory Towers and Twins at Saint Clare books though), Lucy Montgomery of Anne of Green Gables, Laura Ingalls Wilder, George Orwell, Oscar Wilde, Charles Dickens, Frances Hodgson Burnett, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Mark Twain, J.R.R. Tolkien, Louis Sachar... the list goes on and on! As you can see from most of these authors I prefer the books from the late 1800s and early 1900s, perhaps because I like the flowering prose and its metaphors as well interesting words. So, what kind of music inspires you? I like classical and jazzy... as well as anything with a fast beat. Me too! Do you have any hobbies? Loads! I like to be busy! I sing, dance, act, draw, talk, eat, sleep during class, write, read and learn new things. I like SSering and being on the computer as well as making graphics. SSering! LOL! I call it Snitchseeking So we are nearing the end of our interview. Booooooo... but I have three questions I like to ask at the end here...so if you will indulge me... If you were to be sent to a deserted island and could only bring three things, what would they be? Dora the explorer, she has everything in her backpack. Maybe a book on survival, a laptop with batteries with internet and a generator. Interesting... though you cheated... that's more than three things. LOL! The next question Ern coined but I love to ask... If you were a Bertie Bott Every Flavor Bean, what flavor would you be and why? Bogey, cause I will be the diamond that people dig for. Chocolate... because I like to make people happy Awwww. Ok Ok Ok... Imagine you got the Nobel Peace prize for one of your writing pieces, and you were on the stage and you were being filmed so a GAZILLION viewwers were watching. Who would you thank? Peace prize? Never thought I would get one of those, as I am not the passive kind if I feel something is wrong! I would thank my family and friends (among them you guys from SS who are awesome and CRAZY). Hehehe! Thank you so much for your time! See you around the threads! |
