Default Welcome to Atticus's Attic First & Secondhand Music Shop!

Among the many old and well-known shops along the North End of Diagon Alley, a rather new and loud one has very recently sprung into being. The wooden sign hanging out front, carefully carved into the shape of overlapping records and CDs, marks the shop as Atticus's Attic: First and Secondhand Music Shop.

The store, named for its owner and founder Atticus T. Zeller, is just as its name describes. Upon opening the door, on any given day you will be met with the sound of Wizarding bands both new and old, their music being piped through the whole store. (Luckily for Atticus's neighbours, the walls have been respectfully soundproofed.) Step inside, and you'll find yourself already among a sea of Music Tables, boasting thousands of albums from artists both Magic and Muggle, on any medium you aspire to find. At times after closing these normally fixed down tables are moved to the back room, and the entirety of the floor is opened up for both new and established Wizarding groups to hold small shows for their fans.

Toward the back of the store the music tables give way to the Band Merchandise area - here you can find any myriad of items to show off your dedication to your favourite group. Fancy a tee shirt, or maybe a hoodie? Atticus's Attic carries Langley's "MuggleAware" Muggleproof Wear, to save you the trouble of awkward questions should you cross paths with a Muggle while wearing something for your favourite Wizarding band. Or maybe you'd prefer a necklace, or a banner? Some stickers? Or maybe even a magazine? All can be found in this area, carefully sorted and arranged.

Once you've made your discovery of the treasures that you seek, make your way back through the shop to the Front Counter, where Atticus would be happy to help you finish off your purchases so you can be on your way. If you're an artist, however, you might also take this opportunity to inquire about booking some time in The Recording Booth - the shopkeeper will gladly discuss pricing and scheduling with you, as well as your expectations and your needs for your session.

Whatever your musical needs, Atticus's Attic is sure have what you're searching for.

Personality
Atticus is, at times, quiet, reserving his true personality for those that are able to break through his tough exterior. A man of few words, he can come off as aloof or distant, unless speaking about his interests or knowledge. Coming from a family of performers, Atticus found his calling in music, learning to play several instruments and surrounding himself with like-minded people. Though life and maturity has gradually made him more grounded and responsible, he still retains a bit of a wild streak.

History
Atticus is the second of two boys born to Nikolas and Adele Zeller. His mother was an opera singer who taught her children about the nuances of song and passed on her love for music. Having taken lessons as a child, Atticus is able to play piano, guitar, and drums. As a young adult, he has worked with various bands on the road crew and as a stage technician during tours. He was also a member of the band, Silver Streeler, who had one hit song, Foe Glass Reflections, during the summer of 2084. There was much discord in the band causing them to break up shortly afterwards. Although he has tried joining and forming other bands, he has been unable to replicate the success of his one-hit wonder. He still makes himself available to play accompaniment to select bands that might need a stand-in. After the death of his mother, Atticus found it necessary to find a more stable job. With the royalty money from his one hit song, he invested in a music shop where he now spends most of his days, leaving his nights free for making music.
