 While the displays in the center of the store are moveable and often in different places depending on the day, the front counter is not. The space is small, just wide enough for the till and a record or two laid end to end; the surface appears to have been papered with old band flyers, then lacquered over so the faded pages will stay. The wall behind is also covered with various items, mementos gathered by the owner through the years. Once you've made your selections, Atticus will be happy to help you complete your purchase here. | |

This. Was. So. EXCITING.
Zephyr practically flew through the door and into the music shop, grinning wide and looking all around. Everything looked so... well, not new. A lot of the posters and stuff were old and faded, because... they were old. And faded. But they were NEW to this SPACE. This VERY NEW SPACE. And it was all so nice and inviting. He had had to take a break and put up the "back soon" sign on the door of Floreans so he could run down here to check it all out.
"Atti!" he bellowed, leaning over the counter to peer behind it. Where was he?! Zephyr stood back up and looked around the shop, absently touching everything at the counter. He would wait. That was fine with him. HE WOULD WAIT RIGHT HERE. |

It was his store's grand opening and Atticus was beyond excited - even if he didn't outwardly show it. He had made sure everything was in order before unlocking the door, then he remembered the box of music biographies that were still in the back room. He wasn't sure how well they would sell in comparison to his other merchandise, but die-hard fans were sure to be interested.
He had just picked up the box when he heard the voice and that nickname - a nickname he would only tolerate from one person. Carrying the box through the main part of the store, he spared a grin for the man at the counter. "Hey, Z," he nodded in greeting as he set the box down. "Huh... I was sure you'd have brought me a welcome to the alley pie." He might have only been half joking.

FINALLY. He had been waiting like sixty-eight whole seconds, and he had considered checking the back room to make sure that Atticus wasn't in there having a panic or anything. It's what he had done when Floreans had first re-opened with him at the helm. Had a good long panic in the kitchen, baked six or so pies and a nice chocolate cake in a frenzy, and then finally unlocked the doors. He'd been exhausted by noon, but it had all worked out well.
"What have I always told you?" he chided, shaking a finger at Atticus as the man set down the box he was carrying. "You can have all the pie your heart desires, but if you want it delivered, that's a fee."
Though...
"I suppose I could waive the fee today, seeing as you're new here and all."
In truth... he had left the pie on the counter in Floreans. But in his defense, it was just because he was SO EXCITED. A grin split his face and he looked all around the shop again, eyes focusing on the back wall last. This place was amazing... Atti had really done well with it. It was a shame he had only managed to find a space recently, because surely the Hogwarts kids were going to love it. Music? Clothing? Jewelry? Hipster stuff? Between the two of them, they'd have the busiest shops in the Alley, Merlin willing.

A fee?
Atticus raised an eyebrow and was about to speak when Zephyr beat him to it. "Mhm, that's exactly what I was thinking too," he said with a smirk as he started unpacking the box. Surely his old friend wasn't going to charge him a delivery fee on his first day. And he figured he could talk him into waiving that so-called delivery fee for forever. Especially if he was headed this way anyway to see all the cool things he had to offer.
"Well, I was hoping to open it during summer when the Alley is so busy," he said as he carefully laid out the books in the display case at the counter. "But maybe this will be good to get my bearings before the Christmas rush." It would be busy soon enough, he was sure of it. Who didn't love music?
"Take a look around. There's pretty much anything you'd want when it comes to music." And anything he didn't carry, he'd likely be able to order, for an extra fee.

Daisy needed something to take her mind of not being able to play Quidditch anymore. She had always found music to be quite therapeutic and she was getting very sick of having to take Sleeping Draughts. She slowly entered the store and made her way to the front counter, her purse full of money that her mum had given her as a fifteenth birthday present.
"Hello there. I was wondering if I could take a look at one of your drum kits. I'm interested in purchasing one." | |

Atticus didn't have a response for the teenager's explanation. She could have just as easily brought in a wrock magazine, but he also didn't care that much. Not to mention that he was already walking and he wasn't exactly a chatterbox.
