Gobstones Preliminary Match: Hufflepuff vs. Ravenclaw

The building used for the Gobstones matches had had its doors closed against the early autumn morning chill. Its surfaces magically dusted by Professor Botros and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's first preliminary match.

The golden and blue marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.

OOC: Remember only members sorted into Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping.

Professor Botros was standing by both of the playboards with his cane clutched tightly in his hand. He was wearing his usual signature smile and waiting for everyone to gather either down here with him or on the benches in the viewing area. "Good morning everyone, hope you had your healthy early breakfast." He looked at the kids with playful eyes though he was always serious about breakfast. They must know this by now.

"Let our second game of this term's Gobstones season begin!"

Fourth year TiaMarie Mancini of the eagles walked out onto the court along side fifth year Aditya Rehman of the badgers. The two swung their shooters and kicked at their stones. The yellow stone rolled and rolled past 4 obstacles before it slowed down and stopped. The blue stone rolled and continued to roll until it had just surpassed it's oponent and then it too stopped.

"The first point of the match go to Ravenclaw!" Leo announced from his position on the sideline next to Professor Botros.

Adi stayed on the court for the badgers while the eagles switched in Dmitriy Toussaint. The two boys swung their shooters and kicked at their respective stones. The blue stone rolled with slow pace around one obstacle before it stopped. The yellow stone zoomed past its opponent and around a series of obstacles before it too stopped.

After a short break Adi and Dmitriy was back on the court again eager to swing their shooters. The boy's watched their stones take off past the first obstacle. The blue stone rolled past several obstacles before it smacked into a wall that just loomed up. The yellow stone rolled and kept rolling, missing the wall by a slim margin and thus surpassing it's opponent.

"1 point to Hufflepuff! Come on Eagles!" Leo cheered on from the sideline.

Unluckily for the eagles their blue stone only rolled past two obstacles before it stopped in the court and shot out a cloud of smelly gob in the air. The yellow stone surpassed it's opponent and cleared two more obstacles before it too stopped.

"2 points to Hufflepuff! Come on Eagles!" Leo cheered on from the sideline wrinkling his nose at the foul stench filling the air.
