Hufflepuff House Table

The Badgers sit under a brand new gold and black banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. It was once said that the Hogwarts House Elves are the best in the world. It is up to your stomach to agree... but surely it will! Why wouldn't it like elf cooking?

If you're thirsty, there is also fresh pumpkin juice and water on the table, regardless of whether or not it is actually mealtime.

Sundays were the predetermined "eat your breakfast with a Puff" day for Zahra. She came down in jeans and a sweater with her school robe draped over her helmet that rested just so on top of her head. Basically, she was READY for the day.

She took the usual place for Puffy Time and filled her plate with the usual bit of this and that while she waited for her Puffy friend to join her.

The Huffleuff spotted Zahra at once, and sped towards her, before eventually skidding to a halt right about where she sat; a well-practiced move.

"Morning, Z," Toby greeted her, plopping down on the bench beside her and reaching over to grab as much toast as he could hold. He may also have leaned over and given Zahra a casual headbutt in greeting, because those handy helmets made that kind of thing possible.

Toddles make rounds yes Toddles does. Toddles wants to checks foods. He sees masters and mistress sitting at yellows table. Toddles moves his little feetsies to sees if theys needs anythings. "Master or mistress needs anythings?" he piped up in his small voice. Toddles sees glass of milk and takes it yes he does. Toddles wants milkies.

"The Tooooooooooooooooooooobes," Zahra greeted her bud back, along with a bump of the helmet. She helpfully supplied his plate with like... a bit of everything, like he just HAD TO TRY IT ALL.

Oh man, then the STAR OF BREAKFAST showed up! Zahra immediately stood up and gave Toddles the House Elf a STANDING OVATION. "WELL DONE, YOU!" She tried to shake his elfy hand. "Another winning breakfast. You lot are amazing. I want to take you all home with me."


Amirght, Tobes? Z took her seat again beside him and tore into another honey covered croissant. They had to EAT UP 'cause no doubt they'd be into something later. Soon. Adventure Sunday.

He sat down when Zahra did and munched on his toast as he looked at the house elf.

"She's right. Awesome job here, Toddles. First rate elf. Ten out of ten, would elf again." He paused and looked at Z to see if she was wanting anything else, and then back at Toddles. TOBY didn't have any requests, but he did have an offer. "Toast?"

Like... did Toddles want any? Toby held some out, in case the offer wasn't immediately clear.

The Hufflepuff gave his Gryffindor compatriot a nudge in the side. "What should we do today, Z? Bungee jump? Take over the world? Form a puffskein army?" The world was their clam.

Yummy. Time for breakfast.

Happily Lux made her way to the Great Hall, smelling the amazing food that the house elves had prepared. Seriously how were they so good at cooking? She needed to talk to one and find out their secret. Maybe it was some form of house elf magic.

Sitting down at the Hufflepuff Table, she grabbed herself a heap of toast because today she felt like having a simple breakfast. Besides, toast was yummy.

Bleu was so sleepy. She walked up to the Huffie table and sat down yawning. She was so tired she didn't even put makeup on. She didn't care today. All these classes and all this studying...Fifth year was going to be the death of her. She had barely seen Dylan lately because of it all. They really needed to study together, honestly.

She reached for a piece of toast when she noticed her redheaded friend. "Mornin' Lux. How are you today?" She asked sleepily with a yawn. She needed some coffee.

Lux had been all by her lonesome until Bleu arrived. It was nice to see her new friend again because they hadn't had much opportunity to talk since the feast.

"Hey, Bleu! I'm pretty good, just tired. How are you? Anything new and exciting going on?" She knew that Bleu was trying to get out of her shell more this term.

"Um...I have a boyfriend. I believe you know him.....Dylan Callaghan." She bit her lip from letting her smile get too big. She casually continued the conversation, "Anything new and exciting for you?" She smiled hugely.

Exhaustion was something that Lux knew well by now since she had spent so much time studying already and term had just started. Maybe she would permanently reserve a spot at the study tables since she spent so much time there. "I hear you there. They are kicking my butt and I need to get really good marks on SIX of them to be a Potioneer." She was so stressed, OMG.

Sighing, she put her head on the table, though Bleu's next comment got her perked up again. "Wait a minute...Hold the phone. I want details. NOW." This was big, and she had known that Dylan liked Bleu and assumed that she liked him back...but she didn't know that the talk had ALREADY happened. Squeal! This was great news. "Oh, nothing that new and exciting happened with me. Not as big as your news at least." Heheh. She was soooo tempted to ask if they had kissed yet!!

[Toddles]

Toddles talks to other studenties. Toddles helps yes Toddles does. Toddles sees mistresses eatings and talkings. "Mistress needs anythings from Toddles?"

Bleu was interested to hear that Lux was wanting to be a potioneer. That was an extremely hard and time consuming job. She must be really good. "Wow, I had no idea you wanted to be a Potioneer. That's amazing! Maybe we can study together. I know two minds are better than one." She smiled.

Bleu giggled at Lux's reaction to the news. It was pretty great. She was so happy. "Well, I decided to go hang out in the grassy area in the courtyard. I like to go there when it's nice outside and write poems or songs, and suddenly this adorable face was in my vision." She grinned and blushed. It was a cute story after all and the fact that it involved her made her so happy. "We just started talking. The subject got on another girl. I said she was really pretty and he said I was pretty. Then he told me he liked me and I said I liked him, and then he kissed me." She blushed even more. It really was precious.



Toddles walked up to them. Did she need anything..."I don't need anything, Toddles. Thank you. Lux?"

Talking about becoming a Potioneer made Lux smile because she loved brewing potions and it was the only career she wanted. "Oh, yes. I love brewing potions. Professor Culloden gave me loads of advice at the start of term and he said next year we can have private lessons where I brew advanced potions." It would be such an amazing learning experience, and she was so thankful to Culloden for all the advice and assistance. "Do you know what you want to do for a career?" She liked to hear what her friends were passionate about. "And yeah! That sounds great! Maybe we can study with Adi, Dylan, and my friend, Zander."

Awww, Lux was thrilled as Bleu recounted what had happened between her and Dylan. It was so cute, and the blush was adorable. "I'm so happy for you guys. Do you have a date planned yet?" It was amazing that Dylan and Bleu were dating because she had definitely seen the chemistry during the feast and they would be good for each other.

At that moment, an adorable house elf arrived. Awww, they were so cute! "Can I have a snack please?" So what if it was breakfast, she loved food.

"That's amazing Lux. You will have an amazing career. I am sure of it!" Bleu smiled. It was also an amazing opportunity to get get to work one on one with the potions Professor. "That will be great. It will help you loads I'm sure." That was the question...she didn't have an answer to it. "I really don't know....well I know what I want to do but it's so unrealistic. I don't even know if its possible." She wanted to be a singer. Yes, she was great at so many different things, but the one thing she yearned to be was a professional singer/song writer. "But I should probably just stick to something in the ministry." She sighed.

"Thank you." She grinned. She was too happy for words that she actually found someone that liked her for who she was. It was a wonderful feeling after all the torment she went through. "He has a date planned. Picnic by the lake. We've just been so busy with classes and studying it's been hard to get it to actually happen." She grimaced. They had to make time to spend together to relax too. It was important to have relaxation time.

Awww, the support was wonderful and Lux really appreciated it. Bleu was a really sweet girl and she could see why Dylan liked her so much. "Thanks, Bleu. What do you want to do? I'm sure it's not unrealistic." People could do a lot of things if they put their mind to it; all that was needed was faith. "The ministry isn't that bad even though I don't really want a desk job." Because ewww, boring. Lux wanted the kind of job where she worked hands on and made stuff. She wanted to invent potions and help people.

Listening as Bleu talked about her plans with Dylan, Lux nodded. "I get that. The timing really sucks. I didn't see my boyfriend outside of class much last term because he had Prefect duties and N.E.W.T.s to study for. You guys will have an awesome date soon, I am sure." And picnics were lovely and adorable. Dylan would make it special that was for sure.

As the house elf asked her what she wanted as a snack, Lux needed to think it over. There were so many things that she loved to eat that this was a HARD decision to make. "Do you have any cookies? Or brownies? Or fudge?" Because any of those would be amazing.

Bleu was nervous to tell Lux of her talent. She didn't even know if she was good, other than what her mother said. She sighed, "I want to be a singer." She looked down at her hands, "Not just a Wizarding singer, a world wide famous singer." She really knew it wasn't possible for her. She wasn't a size 0, and she never would be. She was pretty but not famous ridiculous pretty. She had never sang in front of anyone other than her mother and her voice instructor. "Hence, why a ministry job is imminent for me." She sighed, placing her elbow on the table and resting her chin in her hand.

She was glad Lux knew how she was feeling. She hated not being able to spend more time with Dylan. They really should study together. "Yeah. It's frustrating but I know we will work it out." She really liked having another girl to talk to.

Bleu was surprised at the support she was receiving from Lux. She really never thought her dream was attainable. But she wanted it so badly. "I hope you're right, but don't you think I should have something I can fall back on in case it doesn't work out?" She guessed Lux was right. It was possible, but was it truly possible for her? "I dunno. I would love it if that were true. There is the whole stage fright thing...I've only sang for my mother and voice teacher." She had major anxiety about singing for anyone else.

Oh, Hogsmeade weekend was coming up soon. She would have to get Dylan to go to The Three Broomsticks with her. She hated going to that lovey dovey place that all the teenagers went to...she couldn't even remember the name of it. "That's true! I forgot about that." She wondered about Lux's boyfriend. "Couldn't Bay come to Hogsmeade to see you on the visit or is that not allowed?" She couldn't be for certain on the rules.

A back up career was always a good idea, so Lux was definitely in support of that. "Oh, for sure. What would you want to do as a back up?" She was curious and liked knowing what the people around her wanted to do with their lives after school. Stage fright was something that Lux never experienced, but she could definitely understand why Bleu would feel that way in front of big crowds. "How about you put on different performances and start off with a smaller audience and gradually increase it?" Maybe it wasn't a great suggestion but it was definitely worth a shot.

"You will have to tell me how it goes afterwards." Yep, she wanted details because the first dates were always huge. She had gone on many dates with Bay, though they were usually on the more casual side since they were taking things really slow. "Oh, he's allowed which makes me really happy."

[Peeves]

Turning from the snakes he flew around to find some new targets for his tomatoes. He didn't want to leave any table left untouched. Stopping just behind the badger table he lifted his arm once more and shot a few towards the unsuspecting Hufflepuffs.

Bleu really didn't know...she had an aptitude for basically everything. But she wasn't excelling in one subject over another. "I'm really not sure. I think that's why I am studying so hard for the OWL's. I'm hoping it will tell me what I am better at or what fields I am more qualified in." She really had some soul searching to do this year; more than she realized. That was actually a very good suggestion. She would probably start with one person and work it up from there. "That is a very good suggestion. Dylan really wants to hear me sing. He hasn't been pushing it or anything. We talked about it once and he said whenever I was ready." Maybe she should be ready sooner than she thought.

"Of course! You're like my only female friend. Who else am I going to tell?" She smiled. She wouldn't want to talk to anyone else about it, except maybe her mother. "That's great. At least you have that to look forward too. And of course winter and summer breaks." Being away from him must have been difficult.

Peeeeeves!!!!!!!!!!! Good thing that tomato missed her by an inch. She decided to ignore him. Hopefully he would get the picture.
