Visit with an Owl

One area of the owlery is roped off for those people caring for and visiting their owls (or the school owls, if you don't have your own). An open bag of Owl Treats sits near a perch, as well as some talon clippers and a few bowls of water.

Lux hadn't stopped by the owlery yet to see the lovely birds and say hello to Luna, so she felt that now was the perfect time to since she had no classes in the next little while and it wasn't time to eat yet. Probably best not to think of food, however, because that would make her feel hungry.

Making her way up the steps, she beamed when she reached the owls. Where was Luna? Calling for her pet, she was pleased when she came down to perch on her arm. "Hello, Luna! Good girl." affectionately she petted the bird's head. Snowy owls were so beautiful and she loved Luna. Reaching into the open bag of treats, she took some out so that Luna could eat them from the palm of her hand.

Hearing Abby, Lux turned to her friend and sent her a smile. It was nice to see Abby again, and she still wanted to know about the secret since they hadn't had a chance to speak right after the feast. "Thanks. Her name is Luna." Continuing to gently pet Luna's head, the owl gave a content hoot.

"You having a good term so far?" She was dying to know what Abby had to tell her, but it was polite not to jump right to it unless her friend wanted to.

It was nice to hear that Abby was having a good term so far. Reaching into the bag again, Lux pulled out more owl treats, watching as Luna ate them right out of her hand. The treats were amazing, because her owl ate them up like crazy. It reminded her that she needed to pick some more up in Diagon Alley. Shame she wouldn't get a chance to until next summer, but these ones would do in the meantime.

"Oh, my term is pretty good." She still got to talk to Bay, so that made her really happy. She just wished that she and Emmy were still friends, but it was best not to think about that because she was still hurt that she had been the only one who had wanted to try and make it work. But enough thinking about that... "So what was it you wanted to tell me about at the feast?" This was a good place to discuss it, since there was no risk of point loss with the only audience being a bunch of owls.

Whatever Abby had to tell Lux, a boyfriend definitely wasn't it. Not because she didn't think that her friend could ever have a boyfriend, but because she didn't see how that would cause any trouble. "Well, that's amazing! What's his name?" He was a Hufflepuff, so she wondered if she had met him or not. Just because she knew a lot of people at Hogwarts didn't mean that she knew everyone.

Not being able to help herself, she needed to ask... "Why did you think you would lose points for talking about your boyfriend?" No one got in trouble for that, it was only the PDA stuff that got you in trouble.

Tyler? Lux was pretty sure that she had never met a boy named Tyler, so it was safe to assume that she didn't know him. If it wasn't for the fact that Abby had told her they got together at the end of last term, Lux would have thought he might be a new transfer to Hogwarts. "I'm pretty sure I've never met him before. What Year is he in?" Merely curious. Age gaps didn't bother her the way they bothered some people.

Honestly Lux didn't understand why gossips overhearing would lead to points loss, but she didn't really want to question it. Instead she nodded. "Do your sisters know him?" It was a valid question in her opinion.

Aaaah, so her sisters hadn't met Tyler yet. Lux couldn't imagine having done that herself, honestly. Though she would have introduced Willa to Bay differently if she could do it all over again, that was for sure. "Well, I'm glad Angel is happy for you. My sister hates my boyfriend." Eye roll. Willa was probably waiting for them to break up. Pfft, like that was going to happen.

As Hady entered the owlery she heard voices right away. So as to not disturb anyone she entered quietly making her way through the area towards where her own owl was giving a low whistle to alert Riddick of her arrival.

Making her way towards her small owl she removed a few treats from the inside pocket of her robes as she used her free hand to open the cage. Opening her hand with the treats she waited for her owl to come forward and get them which he did one by one making a quiet noise of appreciation.

Grinning she smoothed down his feathers before glancing at the girls that were there (Lux and Abby) and raising a hand to wave at them both rather then distrupt their conversation. She didn't want to be rude by not saying hi or by bothering them.

With her being grumpy remembering the conversation with Willa the other day, Lux appreciated what Abby was saying to her. It was true, and she knew it anyway...but sometimes it was nice hearing things even if you already know. "That's very true. I don't even know why she hates him, he's so nice and wonderful." Willa could be so weird.

Seeing someone join them, Lux sent a wave and smile back to Hady. It was nice to see her. "Hey, Hady! How are you?"

A tiny fleet of a smile crossed the young girls face when her wave was returned and accompanied by a greeting. "I'm doing well thanks, how are you both?" She asked quietly speaking to both girls, holding her arm out to her owl whom climbed out onto her wrist with a ruffle of his feathers.

Aww, yeah. Lux had forgotten that Abby had never met Bay. She believe that Angel had though, because she could remember him telling her about how Angel had annoyed him a few years ago, thinking that he was a lot older than his actual age. "I'm sure you can meet him one day." Maybe.

She had talked to Bay recently so she was happy, and Abby had managed to help her feel better after the Willa thing because what the younger girl had told her was true. Curiously, she watched as Hady's owl climbed onto her wrist. "He's pretty. What's his name?" Or was it a she? "My owl's name is Luna," she added while petting her snowy owl again and being pleased when she gave out another hoot.

Abby smiled at Lux and said "Yeah i hope i can meet him as well it would have been awesome to meet him while at school but heck another time perhaps" Abby just had to see how everything went for the time being

Isla Reeser walked around the owlery, looking at all of the owls perched up; all happy and whanot. To be honest, she was sad. The owlery only reminded her of when Rocky, her pet owl, died last year. It was a tragic accident and she couldn't rid of that line that her mom said over the phone. It had hurt her. Hurt her so much that she cried for days and her ex boyfriend made her a wooden carving of Rocky.

She wanted to take care of the owls though since she didn't have one to take care of anymore. She grabbed a couple of owl treats from the bag and gave some to some of the owls. They were super cute and Isla couldn't help but smiling as they hooted at her wanting more treats.

Kace decided to come up to the Owlery because he wanted to tell his parents the good news. He wanted to go to Astronomy Camp to pursue his passion in Astronomy and it was only Arizona. It wasn't too far away. Possibly his dreams could come true. He brought some parchment and a quill and began to write when he was in the owlery.

A few scribbles....scribbles.....scribbles....here and there and he heard the owls hooting. He looked up and saw a girl was here. Now why did she look SO familiar. He kept looking at her and observing her. He really had no idea why he knew her. Then it clicked. Ah Braedon told him about their little drama that happened. He couldn't believe his cousin did that. Well know he would learn.

He cleared his throat and didn't want to scare her. "Heyyy Isla is it? Sorry to scare you but I think you know my cousin Braedon right?" he asked just to be sure.

Hady smiled glad to know the older girl was doing good as well. Smoothing her owls feathers down she slowly made her way over to Lux and Abby so they wouldn't have to talk across the whole Owlery. It made sense really.

"Thanks his names Riddick." She liked hearing others compliment her owl for she thought he was really handsome and something special. He might not be as big as some of the others but that didn't matter at all to her. Hady wasn't very big either so it worked out. "Oh she's very pretty!" She cooed softly peering at Luna.

It's been a long day. Domino happened upon the owlery. She walked inside and saw the bag of owl treats. She got a couple dead spiders from it andignored the others as they talked. It wasn't her convwrsation. She just wanted to visit her owl.
"Arrow!" She called up when she spotted her barking owl. The owl flew down at the sound of her name. Domino ded her a couple dead spiders.
"Hey girl" she said and pet Arrow's down.
