That's right folks, come on in a Gobstones match between two of your favorite Hogwarts houses is taking place and you don't want to miss it or the prime seats up front! The room that plays host to the Gobstones matches has a few rows of raised seats along each of the long side walls, leaving plenty of room in the middle for the players to shoot for the Jack Stone.

Find a place to cheer on your house or whichever house you want to win because these players may not be brawny Quidditch jocks (or they might just be) but they still deserve the support!

OCC Note: Magical Soul, the rest of staff and I (Nordic Witch) are going to do our best to keep an eye in this thread as Matches progress, although it is no longer a moderated thread. Remember all SS School RPG and site rules apply here. Thank you very much for watching!

Gryffindor versus Slytherin!

What a way to start off the series of Gobstone matches! Adi happily bounded into the Viewing Area (slightly late) in full spirits, all set to cheer on both Houses, though Gryffindor would be getting most of those cheers. Hehe.

Hmm... he seemed to be the only one there so far. He figured others might be joining him soon and he especially hoped Jordy would be there. Turning his attention to the match, he was just in time to hear Mr Kitridge announce the current scores. Gryffindor led 6-3! Woot!

Go, Lions! Go, Snakes!

Hayden quote enjoyed gobstones. She'd started playing it a bit last year and was planning on continuing that. But even when Hufflepuff wasn't playing she could still enjoy it, couldn't she? Hayden made her way out to the grounds and took a seat in the viewing area. She didn't even care who was playing, she just wanted to watch. She didn't have any strong feelings about who won either.

"Hey Adi," she greeted cheerfully. Hayden had her new camera around her neck. She'd snapped a few quick pictures in her dormitory just to check it out, but she hadn't really used it yet so she was pretty excited. She wanted to get a few action shots of the game.

Having been caught up in some official Astronomer Royal business back in his office, Airey arrived to the match a little later than he would have liked - but not too late as he was able to witness Mr. Zeke perform several stellar tosses in Gryffindor's favor.

"STELLAR AIM, MR. ZEKE! KEEP IT UP! GOOOOOO GRYFFINDOR!"

Merlin, he had forgotten his little Gryffindor flag back in his office all in thanks to the hasty manner of which he had left. Oh well, waving his arms about would have to do - and a salute to the two Hufflepuffs watching as well.

"YOU CAN DO IT, MR. ADAIR!"

He sat down next to them, "Hey Hayden how have you been?" he asked her. He felt guilty not keeping in touch with her a lot but here he was now. "How was your summer?" he asked curiously. He watched the match while he waited for her answer.

Hayden smiled brightly as another fellow Hufflepuff came to watch the match. "Hey Kace. I've been great, how about you?" Great may have not been the best word to use. She didn't know how long of a period of time his question covered. Did he want to know how she had been so far that day or since he had last seen her? His full intent had not been clear so she hadn't been able to answer as accurately as possible. Though he probably hadn't read that much into it so her answer didn't really matter. Besides, she was in a good mood so 'great' seemed like the best word to use.

"My summer was fun. I got to see my family, and I don't see them much over the school year. It's nice to be back though. How was yours?" Summer already seemed like it had been so long ago, even though she could count the number of day's they'd been back on her fingers. Getting back into the swing of things at Hogwarts never took very long. It was like they had never even left.

"I am doing just fantastic.." he smiled and continued watching the match. Now he needed some help. "Now do you understand Gobstones because I don't.." he said observing the match and all. Or maybe Adi knew more than he did. Aww well seeing your family is always a good thing. "Yeah I basically just visited my family and all too. I went to Australia and visited my cousins and such. I got to surf the beaches of Australia which was awesome." he grinned. He wish he could go back but he needed to focus on school.

"Yeah it's not really that complicated. Basically everyone wants to get their stone closest to that one." She pointed as best she could to the jack stone. Hopefully Kace understood what she meant. It was the only stone that wasn't being used by either of the players so hopefully he either knew what she was saying or already knew that much. "That's pretty much it, there are just a bunch of different rounds." So it wasn't a game where there was one toss and it was over, because that would be really boring.

"Australia? Really? How was that?" Hayden turned to face Kace directly. She'd momentarily forgotten about the match because his statement was more interesting. She'd never been anywhere as cool as Australia. She'd never been outside of Great Britain, actually.

The first Gobstone match of the term, oh how exciting!!! Cassie made she she was all dressed for the part in greens and reds. No need to favor one house when both would be doing their best! GO BOTH TEAMS!! Yes she was there to watch and cheer everyone on and fully watch a certain librarian..ahem...


Walking up the stands she noticed others already there, giving them all a very happy smile and a wave she found her seat. "Hello everyone! Happy first match day!" Giving some snaps of excitement.

Turning she watched a bit, "What's the score?" Had she missed a lot of the match? Gemini just didn't want to put his little bows on for the match so it had made her late and it put him in kitty timeout in her office while her and Aries came.

More persons were filing in! Woot! "Hey, Hayden! How's it going?" Adi noted the camera around his friend's neck. "Having a good time with that?" He looked back towards the entrance as someone else came in. Professor Airey! Honestly, he expected the Astronomer to have been there earlier. Probably got held up, Adi decided. The Puffer returned an enthusiastic salute as Kace came along.

It was nice to see the Badgers around, viewing th egame. "You two will play in our match, right?" Hayden and Kace would make their team even better.

"Hi, Professor Cassie!'' Adi was super pleased to see her there. So bubbly she always was. "Six- three with the Lions leading.'' Come on, teams!

"Come on, Snakes! Go, Lions!"

Wheee! Time to get all shouty!

Oh looky! Benny has scored! Woot!

"Well done, Benny!'' Adi shouted as loudly as he could. He was always proud whenever his bestie scored. But Caleb was putting up just a good fight as the Lions.

"Go,go, go Caleb!'' Caleb was his buddy tooooooo.

Goodness Adi was very hyper today it seemed. She was happy to see his excitement and it was just contagious. "Ooooh how fun! GO SLYTHERIN!! GREAT JOB GRYFFINDOR!" How fun was this! Where they others has hyper and excited as Adi.

She looked around and saw that of course a few were, including Airey, but that didn't surprise her too much. "Everyone looks like they are having a good time." She looked back to the Hufflepuff and then to the game. Wasn't this just fun, she was even beginning to understand the game a little more. Maybe one day she'd be able to play a little. Possibly get Leo to bring her over when students weren't playing and they could have a little game.


Standing and cheering again as they both did so wonderfully. "Good job!!" She snapped for everyone play and especially for the one monitoring the match.

Hayden smiled at Professor Morgan when she came to watch the match also. "Hello Professor." SHE BROUGHT HER KITTIES. Well, one kitty. Hayden scooted closer while trying to be subtle but not succeeding. She reached over and scratched the cat on the head. Should she have asked first? She was sure professor Morgan wouldn't mind. Hello Kitty.

Hayden's attention turned momentarily away from the kitty when Adi asked her a questions. "Yeah I like it," she said with a smile. "I haven't used it much yet though." She raised the camera and focused it on Adi. Click. She snapped the picture and let the camera go back to hanging around her neck. "I have to develop them in a special potion and they'll move." She knew Adi had been wondering that when she first considered buying the camera. Hayden had also been curious so she'd looked it up and found out that if she developed her pictures in a certain potion, the few seconds before and after the picture would play on loop. So that was cool, but her pictures wouldn't be extraordinarily interesting.

Professor Cassie was cheering for both teams toooooo! She was his cheering buddy for this match since Jordy was missing today. Hehe. Oh, he just had to tell her that. "You're my cheering buddy, Professor.'' Adi grinned, knowing that the bubbly lady wouldn't mind hi saying that.

Oh! Hayden wanted a picture? Adi noted when he moved to fix the camera on him. He stood there, looking as calmly as he could, his fingers of his left hand making The Sign of the Horns. "Okay. I figured as much." But he couldn't say more for Mr Kitridge was announcing the end of the match. Time to open that big mouth of his again.

"Congrats, Gryffindor and Zeke! Great job, Slytherin!

Back to indoor voice now. Hehe. The Hufflepuff looked in Professor Flamsteed.'s direction. "Congrats, Professor!"

"Hello Hayden" She beamed at the young Hufflepuff and grinned even more seeing her pet Aries, "He will enjoy that." She knew her kitten child was loving being the only pet and getting all the attention. "Are you enjoying the match?" She probably was though or she wouldn't be there, but Cassie did like seeing the students out cheering on the other houses.

Speaking of the houses playing her green eyes moved back to the match. "GREAT JOB!!'" She snapped excitedly as the plays looked to be so good and the stones so close. Wow this was just getting more exciting the more she started to understand. It wasn't just coming to watch and pretend to know anymore, she was actually understanding!

Hearing Adi's words she giggled a bit, "I can be that! Cheering buddies sounds super fun!" Turning and cheering more for both groups. Oh they were all doing so well, did one house really have to lose? Couldn't they just end in a tie? That would be so nice if it could just end with both teams winning.

"WAY TO GO!!!" Gryffindor had one, what a great match. She couldn't believe it was over already. "GOOD JOB SLYTHERIN!!!" This was so fun, but since it was over she probably should be going.

"Well it was good seeing everyone. Have a fabtastic day!" Picking up her bag she headed down the stands and out of the viewing area.

Zeke wasn't much of a spectator, he preferred playing and DOING things rather than just sitting back and watching, but as it so happened... he WANTED to see this Gobstones match. Both Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff had been good last year, and they were bound to bring the competition again this year... he had to see what he was going to be up against. Ahem.

Shuffling through the viewing area, Zeke claimed himself a spot not too close, but not too far away either, it was prime for putting up his feet and enjoying the game.

LAAAATEEE! Adi was late for the match. Thank Merlin that Huffleuff wasn't playing today because gosh, he was a mess recently. He had been up studying a little later than usual as he gradually aimed to increase his study hours. The result was the slightly disheveled Hufflepuff briskly walking into the Gobstones Viewing Area.

At least he had company. "Heya, Zeke. How's it going? What's the score?'' he asked as he tried to neaten his hair just a bit. AJ wasn't around so it wasn't necessary to keep it super messy.

Go, Claws! Go, Snakes! Adi could see Cilla, Thornton, Zoe and Sophie among the players. Goooooo, friends! Hehe.

Three terms in a row. That was what the Head of House was expecting as he strolled into the viewing area for the championship match. Of course, Hufflepuff was not to be underestimated...but the professor had high expectations and a good inkling about things.

Also blindly confident. But that was another story. He couldn't help having faith in his Gryffindors. End what has been a chaotic and messy term on a positive note.

Sitting down just as the match began, the professor clapped loudly for the Gryffindor gobstones team.

"COME ON LIONS! YOU CAN GO IT! TOSS IT LIKE YOU MEAN IT! ACCOUNT FOR TABLE FRICTION! ROAR ROAR GRYFFINDOR!"
