The Treehouse

Located in a not-so-obvious part of the grounds, you will find the giant treehouse! Before getting to the awesome-ness of the treehouse, you will have to climb the ladder first. It isn't so steep, and has a wooden railing to help you up. The treehouse is fitted with windows and a fence all around - but still giving you a beautiful view of the grounds.

Inside of the treehouse is a place of tranquility and relaxation. It is filled to the brim with cushions, rugs and beanbags for sitting. For leisure, you pretty much have to bring your own entertainment. But that's not so bad when you're in a WICKED-COOL treehouse, AMIRIGHT?

Please do not fall out of the treehouse. It is secure and safe with a cushioning charm if you do, but that would be a bit silly.

Connor decided it was treehouse time, This was one of his favorite places in the school. It was comfortable and big, the perfect place to read a book or just clear your head from your weird roommate, or your needy Cat. Assuming other people had these as well.

But whatever, it was a new term and Connor Jones was going to make the most of it. His back leaned against the wall of the treehouse as he sat on the floor, going through different pages of his book. Hmm. There was no technology here except in the Muggle Studies class, but he was fine using a quill, it made him feel like he was a writer from years and years ago, before Typewriters or computers, he debated getting a typewriter. Should be something he could use here, maybe he would ask for one for christmas? Or his birthday, kinda the same thing though.

Phoenix had been exploring the grounds some more (since he'd gotten all distracted by Clara last time) when he came across this... it was so COOL. Kinda huge too, actually. Waaaay bigger than the one he'd tried to build with one of his muggle friends back in Norfolk Park.

It didn't take long before Phoenix had scrambled up the ladder and into the treehouse, a silly grin on his face as he looked around. OOOH LOOK! Someone he recognised. "Sup!" Phe didn't think that maaaaaybe Connor had come up here for some peace and quiet, because he wasn't really sure that anyone could ever really NEED peace and quiet, so he sat down next to the guy. "Whatcha writin?" Something interesting? Something he could share?

Well more like editing..well..kinda writing." So he didn't know what he was really doing, just trying to make it better, maybe add some thing in, he wanted to make sure it was perfect so he could send it off to publishers soon.

"Just trying to make sure it's perfect." He'd been writing it for close to a year, maybe he needed to take more time with it? Ughh the whole thing had him so skeptical of himself. "So, what are you up to?" He asked the younger lion. "Congrats making Gryffindor."

Yeah, my brother was one, I bet he'll be dead chuffed." Not that he'd really have cared either way. "Charlie'll be disappointed though. Him and Krystal had this hope I was gonna be a Slytherin - my brother's bandmates - but Odder thought I'd be a Hufflepuff I think. He was teasing me about it, I don't think I'd have minded though." He was babbling, as usual, but he always thought out loud. "I didn't think I'd be a Slytherin. I don't think I'd fit." Slytherins were supposed to be sly, right? Phoenix wasn't. Phoenix was about as transparent as cling film...

Isla Reeser was ready.

Soooo ready.

She was ready to start her planning on her boy pranks and the treehouse was the best place to do it. She could scout out boys while planning with her partner-in-crime, Vinnie. That's who she was waiting for now. She stood at the base of the tree and waited, with the blank pieces of paper and quills in her arm. This was going to be great.

Nodnodnod, Connor's head moving up and down. "Yeah, it's tough. But i guess it's like sometimes the story is there and wants to be told so badly that it's easier to sit and write it than to ignore it? Other times i just wanna pull my hair out cause i've got nothing." He said and laughed a little, it was times like that he turned to other writers for inspiration, Connor thought that the best way to cure writers block was reading someone else's work.

Exploring, he did a good bit of that last term. There were still things he hadn't even seen. "Exploring is fun, the lake is a nice place to just sit. Though you don't strike me as the just sitting type." Connor grinned cause this kid seemed like a fireball, full of energy, more so than he knew what to do with. "You don't strike me as a snake, or a puffer, i would have said Gryffindor." He shifted as he put his papers in order, luckily he always remembered to number them. "So...what's up with you and Clara...Y'all seemed pretty friendly on the train?" He was being just a little bit nosy, but he liked to know things..

Vinnie made her way to the treehouse. Oh boy had she missed that place. After staying inside for such a long time last term, the brunette couldnt be happier to come back here. Usually she would picnic with Grayson here...but today was different.

She loved the nickname Vinnie gave her and was excited that they were finally getting together to plan this all out. "Hey, Vinnie." She smiled, patting the beanbag next to her so she could sit.

"So, I've already figured out the first guy we can prank and you can see him right now too." Isla whispered, nodding her head over to where the two guys were in the treehouse. "You see that guy with the brown hair...not the one with the poofy hair and glitter, the other one. His name is Connor. He's our first target." She continued to whisper. Sure Connor was her friend, but she wanted to test it out on a person who she knew wasn't going to take it too seriously and then she can get her mark out on the world that way.

Vinnie flopped down onto the bean bag next to her friend immediately. Those things were so comfortable, she loved them. Another great addition to the treehouse.Eyeing the notes on the floor all impressed, she grinned at Isla. "Good work." That girl definitely was passionate about pranking.

Connor was her first target? Now this was hilarious. Starting to laugh really loudly the brunette rolled around as much as the beanbag allowed it. "This is the funniest thing ever", she said trying to breathe,"Connor is my boyfriends best friend and also a good friend of mine."She was so ready for this. They'd have to come up with some extra special for him.

Also, the way Isla had described Phe's hair was hilarious. This girl would make Vinnie's term, she knew it.

Phoenix was impressed, okay? He was always impressed by people who were naturally talented at academic stuff, like reading and writing and spells and potions and all that jazz. Basically everything he was supposed to do at school, oops. "So they like... talk to you?" That was a bit worrying. Having stories talk to you and stuff....

"Nah I'm too restless." Obviously. "Mild ADD or something. I don't care though, 'least there's a ton of space here to run around or climb or whatever. It's awesome." Way better than being stuck at home, though at least he was near the park... He'd yet to experience lessons. "Yeah, I think Charlie just wanted me to be a mini him. I'd make a lousy Slytherin." Cause they just weren't as cool as Gryffindors, y'know?

She got permission to prank Connor. Not that she really needed it, but Vinnie was her partner-in-crime so she had to make sure just in case. "Awesome!" She smiled, doing a little dance as she sat. Which was basically her doing peace signs over her eyes and pretending to do the salsa all at the same time.

"Well out of all the boys I met, I thought Connor would be great because he doesn't seem nervous with things or anything like that. He's cool and content so I think he'd handle it all really well. So it's not really getting at him for being mean, it's just because it would be fun to watch." Isla shrugged. It was true. She was certain every prank would make her laugh, but Connor would be good to try the first one out on.

She's dating the Ravenclaw Head Boy? Isla stared at Vinnie with a blank face for a few long seconds and shook her head. "Hmm...I don't know him, but don't worry I won't prank him. I don't want to get in trouble." She nodded. Not that trouble would be a big deal, but he was Vinnie's boyfriend after all or Vinnie could have the honors. Either way.

Connor tried to think of a way to explain this process that didn't make him sound like he was insane, Hmmmmm. "Kind of but not exactly, what's it like for you when you write a song? Is the melody in your head trying to get out?" He hoped that it would make sense to him that way..

"The grounds are awesome..there's plenty of room for all kinds of games and stuff." Connor liked to play with Smaug out here, the orange cat often followed him around, today was one of the few times he slipped out unnoticed, it was hard to organize papers when your cat wants to sit on top of them. meh. "You and me both, i didn't feel like i fit here at first though."

Connor smirked at the kid and nodded. "Yeah, i think i know...good for you." He said and grinned a little..He had a friend like that, kinda..okay, not really like that at all but he took what excuses he could to think about it.

I just... pick up my guitar and it kinda happens..." There wasn't like, a process or anything. He just did it... "S'not like I can hear it already. My fingers just know it." Sense. He made it.

GAMES. "D'you like, play football or skate or anything?" He didn't really care for football, but he could play. And it expended energy. Skating though, skating he could do. He'd managed to squeeze his skateboard into his trunk with a bit of rearranging. "I was pretty sure I'd be a Gryffindor. Red and Gold. Fantastic combination. It just suits me, y'know?"

He liked Eden a lot. He was intrigued by Gareth (nice lips, that boy) and there were several people around Hogwarts that he already had a big squishy ball of feels for. He just... was made of affection, okay? He couldn't help it...

Nope. Phoenix had no idea what he was on about. It sounded like a very busy thing to have going on in your mind... Phe's mind was not so busy. It was quite... empty. Music, usually, but very little else. But he nodded anyway and just pretended like he knew what was going on with this conversation.

"Well, yeah." Pretty much. Pfft. Silly American names. But yes, he was basically right. "I used to play with a few kids in the park down our road. It's pretty good for using up energy." Especially when there were enough people for a long game. "Yeah, definitely. Where's good for skating round here?" There was a lot of grass around here... but nothing that looked cool enough for skating... unless they could do it inside.

Did he get it though? Did he reeeaaaaally? Probably. There wasn't exactly much about Phoenix TO get. "Mhmm, she's really cool... 've you met Eden yet?" Cause she was awesome too.......... "There's a lot of gorgeous people here." He'd noticed. It was a thing.

Watching Isla do her dance Vinnie couldnt help but laugh. This was the funniest thing she had ever seen A nice combination of dance moves. Such a pity the girl didnt have her camera here, this would have gone down in history."You need to teach me that dance", she grinned and wiggled her eyebrows. Those were the moves that got the boys, not that she needed any.

It was fascinating to hear all the things her friend had to say about Connor, seeing he had started of as a different person. The brunette was so proud of him, he had developed nicely."He definitely wont hold a grudge", she grinned," he's gonna be mad at first and then hes gonna laugh." Well depending on what Isla was gonna do to Con. But he'd definitely be a good test object. He might prank them back, so they needed to be secretive.Smiiiirk.

And then Isla gave her the look...what was that look about?! Laughing out loud the Slytherin eyed her friend."Why are you looking at me like that?" Did she have a bug on her nose or something?Maybe she had turned purple?"you really worry about getting in trouble?", she chuckled. It was certain that they'd get in trouble sooner or later...but it was gonna be fun, so it was all good.

That was good to hear. She didn't want people to hate her for these pranks. Just to have fun though the ones that deserved it; she could care less if they hated her. "Sorry, I didn't mean to give you a look. Just thinking." She laughed. "But no...I just want to be smart about what I do. I don't want these pranks to be mean necessarily. I don't plan on spending the entire term in detention." Now that would be terrible.

At least in people's minds. Cause Jun and Vinnie worked together perfectly. Pranks for fun were better than pranks for being mean anyway. Depending on the person of course. "We could be secretive about it", the sixth year wiggled her eyebrows,"i mean nobody has to know who it was...that way no one will end up in detention." One thing not fun about causing trouble was detention and Vinnie wasnt keen on it. But there surely was a way to have fun.Smirk.

Kace decided to owl his best friend to meet him at the tree house. He was made prefect and he wanted to talk to him about it. They didn't really get a chance to talk on the train or at the feast. One he was stuffing his face with lots of food and the train ride was too short. He wanted more time. Plain and simple. As he made his way to the treehouse, he noticed it came with new features. As he climbed the ladder, he loved the bean bags, he didn't see them before. He sat down and plopped and took in being one with nature.

So there was a reason why he was here, other than the fact that the Treehouse was one of the absolute best places at Hogwarts!! Normally he preferred to come up alone, but today was a little different. Literally. Because he was here with his little lion friend. Okay no that sounded wrong. Leo's like... three? maybe four? years younger than him. No okay. He was here with the guy that he promised to show around. As he approached the treehouse, he looked back to make sure Leo was still following along. "So this is it. My favorite place in the entire school... I reckon if you're going to get to know Hogwarts.. You might as well know the best parts?," he smiled a little. The lake was tied for favorite, but the treehouse just seemed like the better place to show Leo first. Treehouses are exciting and adventurous and if that didn't scream Gryffindor then what did?!

"It's a great place to have some fun in the middle of a rough week in potions," okay none of this was rehearsed by the way. Totally on a whim here. "And uhm. Some people think it's kind of lame... But I, I really like to come up here and think about things you know?" And at that he pointed to the ladder. "Do you wanna go up?" It was even cooler from up in the trees.

Leonard had followed him to the place, and it did sound pretty awesome. He used to have a treehouse in his backyard until they left England. That was a very sad day indeed. A smile formed on his face as the older lion began talking about the place, and it did look pretty amazing and this was on the ground!

"Well it makes sense" he commented on Zander's point of going up to think. Having 7 siblings he especially understood, he had a tendency to climb on trees and buildings in general to get away from them so a treehouse would be so convenient. "You can sort of distance yourself a bit from everything else" that was accompanied with a soft, understanding smile.

"Sure" he answered with a grin, moving over to the ladder, moving up it quickly. "This is amazing" he told the other lion.

It really was.

"Umm maybe the courtyard, but i don't know if we'd get in any trouble." He honestly wasn't but he also might be up for risking a little trouble in exchange for some fun.

Eden? Yeah, he'd met Eden she was one of his best friends. "Yeah, Eden McGee?" He asked as if there were a billion girls named Eden. It felt like a dumb thing to say once it left his mouth. Connor chuckled and nodded. "You should have seen some of the girls that graduated last term." He smirked a little, Phoenix could appreciate that, right?
