Fifth Floor Corridor

Connecting the Ancient Runes classroom to the staircases and the other floors of the castle, the fifth floor corridor is home to more than just a few doors. You just have to find the doors to see what's behind them all.

First period off. Noel wasn't really expecting things to stay so uneventful till now. Why wasn't some ridiculous thing happening yet? A curse of sorts to annoy the crap out of everyone? Hogwarts clearly wanted it's students dead, one way or the other. So, what was it waiting for?

But that was just his random conspiracy theory - which he mused over from time to time.

After breakfast, which had been quiet UNEVENTFUL as well - no drama like the night before! Noel was feeling particularly bored. So he was just walking around, with his crup tailing behind him. There was nothing else to do, so yeah.

Sneaking up behind the blonde boy in front of her-which was significantly harder due to the energetic and loud nature of crups-the brunette poked him RIGHT in the side.

"Your pet is distracting mine, Noel Wallace."

Noel wasn't really taking notice of what his crup was doing, or the distraction he was being, because he never really did. His mind was racing with all the other things he was missing back home - the beach he lived near mainly.

The poke on the side was sudden and he ALMOST did a double take but refrained hearing the voice that followed. "Is he?" he said, turning to look at the Ravenclaw he had issues with.

And waho.

"Maddison Cooper!"

Did she do something with her hair?

"You look - different" he said, blunt in a skeptical sort of way. He tilted his head, curious. "Why?"

"Well spotted." She HAD chopped off most of her hair. Plus she was taller now too. Nearly a woman, for Merlin's sake! "Because I'm trying to adventure and Zeus is distracted now." The brunette motioned with her head to the kneazle who was currently circling the crup. Hopefully he wasn't planning on pouncing any time soon.

Wait. Was she getting off topic? He shook his head, gesturing at her hair. "I meant - WHY the need to cut off your hair?" He was honestly curious. They had the same size hair now. ALMOST.

Noel did notice the smile and the slight narrow of the eyes, and returned that smile with his grin. It was really going to be a challenge getting to her - wasn't it? Noel was in no hurry, he had the WHOLE year.

Meanwhile Zeus had wriggled his little bottom, let out something like a growl from deep in his throat, and launched himself in the crup's direction. Maddie merely smiled at the interaction, amused. "Thinks he's a lion or something, I swear." World's tiniest lion but still.

"It doesn't really matter what YOU think considering I didn't cut it for you." The brunette did inch around the boy now, stopping just in front of him so they were face to face. "But for curiosity's sake, what DID you decide?" HM?

"Did I say you did?" he asked, completely oblivious to what she was implying. He WASN'T saying she needed his approval, but it wasn't going to stop him from deciding how she looked. So yeah. When she asked him, what he had decided, Noel didn't reply right away. Instead, he gave her a once over before circling her and coming to a stop. "You look .. fresh, I think" he finally said. "Less mean" You know, not like a certain ravenclaw who would imply hufflepuffs die.

His attention did waver and he watched as Maddie's lion attacked his crup. Noel wasn't offended - because sure enough, just as Noel had predicted - his crup fled the scene. The thirteen year old actually laughed, before adding: "And there goes my lamb"

"Do you wanna -" he asked, his eyes at the end of the corridor where the crup had disappeared at. " - walk, Maddison?" he asked, grin in place. She was afterall the reason his walk now had a reason - to go and find his crup.

It didn't matter if you said it, Noel Wallace. She felt that it was implied. She also felt like she was some sort of exhibit at her mum's gallery, the way she was being circled. "FRESH?" "And you will be completely taken aback by it," he said, shoving his hands in his jacket. And Noel will make sure he would be there to watch it. The ravenclaw was too WELL PUT together. She needed to loosen up a little.

"Yeah - fresh!" he nodded, petting kneazle's head as she took him in her arms. "It works but you need to act by it, you know?" he tried to explain - but he knew he would fail horribly in giving Maddie the LOGICAL reasoning she wanted. Could she be smart and just read between the lines? He didn't wanted to out right say it that she needed to loosen up and not be so uptight.

He felt awkward because he hadn't MEANT it like that, but she had taken it LIKE that. Ravenclaws were suppose to be smart, you know? At first he decided to let it go and let her assume what she did. But then the silence had grown uncomfortable and too unsettling, and Noel was just not made for that. "Its not what I meant, what you think, it's not that -" He urged. "I - you look good," he finished, eyes forward and voice not so Noel-y. He wanted to break into a monologue and explain what he had originally meant. BUT she had those eyes and she wasn't the usual Maddie. So he just didn't know what to do! It SCARED him.

He felt RELIEVED and glad when she rolled her eyes and acted like MADDIE again. Even though it had only been a moment or two, but he had missed this Maddie.

"What kind of questions?" he asked puzzled, trying to get back into their usual flow. It was kinda hard, but he was trying. He thought for a minute before speaking: "I think I might but -," he stopped, turning into a corner and looking around - nope, no sign of the little Lamb of his. Yeah, he was definitely naming the crup 'Lamb'. Thank you, Maddison Cooper.

And then he turned fully to Ms Maddison Cooper - "So I think I can offer you an adventure but it can't be right now because it's like middle of the day and all. Can you meet me tomorrow morning at 5 am near the kitchens?" he asked, suddenly eyes all bright and up-for-adventure-y. "You can bring your lion too"

What was the probability of finding a mind reader at this school, anyway? No matter, she'd focus on what was being said for now. "Good. Okay." Good to know, she s'posed. She continued walking but did chance a sideways glance at him. A quick one. She didn't like that he'd so easily read her displeasure. Body language could be a real tattletale sometimes.

"The kind that are listed in a notebook labeled PRIVATE." Air quotations accompanied the word. The most important word. They did. She turned the corner too, more focused on Zeus and his kneazle senses than where Noel was looking. Z was probably a better finder, even if the boy was a puff. "But?"

5 am was early, did he know? Really early. It'd need to be an EPIC adventure if he was asking her to get out of bed that early. "By the kitchens with the lion at 5 am." Her name. He liked saying it apparently. She resisted the urge to squirm and nodded her head, giving him a brief smile before turning on her heels and going back in the opposite direction. She'd probably need to sleep NOW if she was expected to be up at 5am.

Skipping down the fifth floor corridor with Buster following behind her, Nola was in a very happy mood. Her moments of being homesick had disappeared for the time being now that Buster with her and she was off exploring the castle before she decided to spend some time on homework.

"Come on Buster, let's see if there's anyone to meet down here!" Nola called over her shoulder at the fluffy grey cat.

Buster was slowly trotting behind the Human that he wished would stop to feed him treats. He meowed when she said his name. Hopefully if they met someone down this corridor the Nola the Human would give him some treats. Really the only reason he was following her was because he wanted treats.

Meow.

Buster was slowly trotting behind the Human that he wished would stop to feed him treats. He meowed when she said his name. Hopefully if they met someone down this corridor the Nola the Human would give him some treats. Really the only reason he was following her was because he wanted treats.

Angel was walking down the corridor when suddenly she saw someone coming her way. "Hey!." Angel smiled as she looked at the girl who seemed to be older than her, she loved making friends and so she decided that she would totally be friendly . "How are you today?" Angel suddenly asked. "You exploring like I am?" Angel loved to explore. "It's a nice cat you got there." Angel smiled.

The floor was cold. Kyroh could testify to that. Or he COULD have if he was in a more conscious state. Currently the second year was lying flat on the ground sleeping. Messenger bags made good pillows.

Devlin was making his way around the castle, just strolling about. At the moment he had nothing better to do, and it wouldn't hurt for him to get out of the dungeons and use some exercising.

He walked this way and that way, not really sure, or paying attention to where he was going. So it came to no surprise when he lost some of his footing and half tripped forward. Stopping off just to the side he looked around and saw a little one. "Hey, kid. You dead?" Devlin asked quietly as he kicked the younger ones shoe. The Slytherin was just taking precautions here.

His dream had the bat mobile in it. Which Kyroh did not like at ALL for TWO reasons.

1. Batman was NOT his favourite superhero.
2. He didn't even know how to drive a car.

So why was it there huh? What was the point? What were you DOING bat mobile??

There was the bat mobile and people were running and so much going on and he was suppose to SAVE THE DAY and- a pain shot through his leg and Kyroh moaned as he shifted around to his back. There was a faint whisper and slowly his brown eyes opened. "You killed me."

Devlin waited a bit for a response. And when it did happen it wasn't exactly one he hadn't been expecting. It hadn't shocked him, but it wasn't a normal response either.

Then he shrugged. "Nope. Didn't. Must've done it yourself, somehow." But the kid believed so easily he was dead. Not even a thoughts hesitation. Which made Devlin wonder just how far he could take this before the kid started to think clearly. "I wonder how useful you'll be within the Hogwarts Ghost clan. I mean, brand new, fresh, young ghost, makes me think how welcoming they'll be with you."

Kyroh blinked a few times as his eyes settled on the boy. It took a while for him to actually register his face. And even longer for the words uttered by the boy to make sense in his brain. Then suddenly as if a lightbulb was switched on, he lifted his hands and began to pat himself down.

"You.......huh?" Kyroh sat up eyes WIDE as he glanced at the boy. "I can't kill myself. You killed me in my dream, 'cause you woke me up!" He patted himself down some more. But....he wasn't actually dead NOW was he!?!?

Devlin watched the kid as he seemed to be waking up. Slowly, but waking up. At least he wasn't dead. That was the good thing. And, ok, he was checking to make sure he was still literally alive. If he could feel all the skin on him. Smart, but not so smart. Who wakes up thinking they're dead? Where's the logic in that?

Again, logic with this one. "I think its a possibility. You know, in the wizarding world all sorts of weird things happen." He told the kid with a nod. Don't blame him. Just because Devlin had caught him lying on the floor, didn't mean he was the culprit here. Then, to suddenly prove the kid wrong Devlin brought up his hands, clean, and added, "You can check my wand for the last spell I used, if it makes you feel any better that it wasn't me." Intelligence. Devlin had it.

"I wasn't in your dream, kiddo. You're psyching yourself out." He'd even given the little one reasons to not think Devlin was a murderer. "Actually, I'm a ghost, yeah." He said casually, right now, he believed the kiddo would find everything to make sense.
