Waiting Area Outside Professor Bellaire's Office

Whether you are new to Hogwarts or not, by now you should know that you can't simply just barge into a professor's office without being invited in. Knock and wait to be called in or take a seat and a magazine and read if she's busy with someone.

The chairsare comfy and won't hurt your butt.

This particular waiting area has a mirror which must be used to ensure that you look presentable before entering Professor Bellaire's office. There is no admittance to Riff-Raffs.

Ceorlic Strike-Galbraith had a mix of Emotions coming here. Nervous, Anxious, Excited. Among a few other emotions he was sure were not invented yet. The New Lion moved to the Door and gave three taps to it. Unsure what to do from here he looked to his side and saw a Wall Mirror!
Perfect! He could practice some confidence boosting here and getting a better effect because the Mirror was larger than the one Phoenix had provided him...because that's how it worked obviously.

A'm th' best efter a'. " Heroic pose, followed by an epically cheey thumbs-up. Next time he should try and drop his accent while complementing himself.

There was a knock. It was way too early in the term for there to be a knock, but as it were....

Sophia got up from her desk and went to get the door. "New lion, new face. How may I help you?"

Ceorlic puffed out his chest and about to begin a second verse when the door open, and he heard a voice comment on him being a Gryffindor. He slouched at his shoulders and turned. "Och Aye Am. Ma'am." Now as to how she can help him. Well there was that time she drew attention to herself at the Slytherin Table at the Opening feast, he overheard the 'Turn you into a Rat' comment she told the the the...Ceorlic's face went red at thought of Ruby...but he quickly shook it out of him by literally shaking his head right there. "Ah asked some classmates aroond schuil fur tae ken if ye wur th' transfiguration professor." Just because she can make that Rat threat, and probably deliver. Didn't mean that some of those other Profs at that Table couldn't. He rubbed the back of his hair a bit embarrassed now. "Ah mean, ah ken yer noo. Thay a' confirmed it ah juist wanted tae ken if ye cuid shaw me something proper ah learned aboot at Beauxbaton lest year."

What was this young man trying to say? Sophia had no idea. Did someone do a tongue tying he on him? She frowned and squinted a bit as she tried to decipher what exactly he was trying to say.

It didn't take her too long to pick up on the accent. That didn't make it much easier for her though.

"I'm going to ask you, to try saying that again young man but this time try to enunciate your words. I'm having a hard time understanding you."

"Sorry Prof. I got a little excited aboot what Ah wanted tae ask ye" Ceorlic scratched behind his ear then the side of his nose. "Yer th' Transfigurations Professor aye? Can you show me more aboot Animagi than whit ah learned at Beauxbaton. They would only shaw us history about it an' just basic stuff. Ah wantae learn how tae. It'll be richt useful." he hadn't told anyone of this until now, his interest in learning to shapeshift into an animal. None of his brothers know, and he had been reading more than just books on it's history since his last term in Veela Land.

There. That was English..or well..something close enough for her to understand. Sophia stepped aside and allowed room for the boy to step into her office. More and more students had started approaching her about wanting to learn animagi and she was wondering why. Did word get out about her?

"Step into my office and then start with your name."

Dante did remember that the Professor who stared him down was the Transfiguration one. Thank You, Ethan. So of course he would visit her first and ask some very important questions. Though he did get lost. But would never admit that. He would say we went for a pleasant stroll. Sounds fancy. Finally here he was in front of her door. Dante messed with his hair and debated whether to knock or bang on the door. Well...

Knock, Knock.

This was the second time since the school started that she had a knock on her door. Immediately she decided that she would have to check for a sign or something, because clearly there was an open for business sign on her door.

Neverless, the woman opened the door and looked down to see...

"And how may I help you?" Perhaps he was lost, first years tended to get lost a whole lot for the first couple of weeks.

Well he did not have to wait that long.

The door was open and there she was. "What's up, Professor Bellaire..That is your name right?" Dante said with a smile on his face. She could not resist that smile, could she? Hopefully he said her name right. This would be a horrible first meeting if he did. I just got some questions" Just the normal sort of questions. They would not take too much of her time. Though it did look like the less visitors she got the happy she would be.

Not that Dante cared.

He had questions and she might have the answers.

Professor Bellaire frowned down at the first year. Lucky for him, he was new because she was sure she'd have a punishment ready otherwise, but he would learn.

"I will accept good day professor, nothing less. The only thing up right now besides from the sky is my annoyance."

Oh he got questions did he?"Well where, pray tell, did you get these questions from?" She folded her arms and continued looking down at him.

Was his smile not working..no it was something else. Maybe she ate something bad before or someone rude just left. Yep, those two were better. "But what if it is morning?" And Dante was not going to say 'and the ceiling' which probably would have made her more annoyed. Which looked hard to do with how annoyed she is looking now. So nope, not going to. Still, Dante thought it was still the morning or maybe it wasn't. he did not care as long as he was no missing class or something.

"The Sky"

Yep he got his questions from the Sky.

But seriously. "I wanted to know if you could make me a fedora and a cane. I figured the Transfiguration Professor would make the best ones since it is Transfiguration and all"

He had one more question. But it could wait.

"Well then if it is morning, you will say 'good morning Professor..or good evening if it indeed..that time of the day." He was starting to remind her of her grandson. Bentley seemed to enjoy 21 questions as well.

"Are you cheeking me?" She raised an eyebrow at him. Dangerous game sir.

"I could, but it's better to teach a man how to fish instead of giving him a fish." She stepped aside, giving him room to enter her office.

Finally the last detention. Maybe. She had thought the last one was supposed to be a month ago but she'd sassed Bellaire again and got another month of it for her troubles. But through all three months of it, Ruby hadn't broken again, not since the first one, or at least not in front of the professor.

Dressed impeccably in her uniform, she knocked on the door and waited in silence.

Yeah she'd roll her skirt up later.

Professor Bellaire put her quill down and put her papers away to the side being careful to hide the grade of the student on top. The mid term grades were not as good as she would like so you could be sure that they would be getting another pop quiz soon. Just to see if they were reading.

She knew who the knocker was though, s she flicked her wand to open the door.

"Come in Miss Banner and close the door behind you."

Even if Bellaire had left her stack of papers uncovered, Ruby wouldn't have bothered to try and make out what they said. Too much effort. She shut the door behind her without comment and then just stood there. Well what, she wasn't about to make herself comfortable, what was the point?

"Professor." She said sweetly, by way of greeting.
