In the center of the library near the Restricted Section Mr Kitridge has cleared a a portion of the floor and put bean bags in all colours of the rainbow in a circle for the book club meeting surrounded by the ever present bookcases. On a very orange bean bag Mr Kitridge is sitting cross-legged, waiting for the student's to arrive.
So come on in and take a seat on an inviting bean bag!
OOC: The meeting will start approx 24 hours from now. Feel free to have your student arrive in the mean time.

Ian was excited about the chance to talk about books. He thought it would be a good opportunity to talk about the giant book he'd gotten from the library. He entered the library and headed over toward the restricted section and was disappointed to see they'd be sitting in bean bags. He was pleased to see Mr. Kitridge, as the librarian was ever so kind and he didn't want to hurt the man's feelings by fussing about the seating.
He looked for a nice yellow one and shuffled over to it. He sat down as gingerly as he could and decided he'd worry about getting back up when it was that time.

Bay walked into the room with his western book tucked under his arm.. he couldn't wait to start talking about books… westerns in particular.
he spotted a few other students already here which was great he didn't want to be the only one. spotting a free bean bag chair he made his way over to it to sit down.. seeing that Mr. Kitridge was already there and sitting down he said hello "Hello Sir…how are you today?" he asked, while getting more comfortable.

Sander walked into the room and the first thing he did was walk over to the librarian and greeted him.
"Hello Mr. Kitridge. It's nice to see you again. I hope that your puffskein is feeling better," Sander smiled in greeting remembering the last time he saw the librarian was at Professor Thompson's office.
Sander turned and looked around, spotting Bay sitting down in one of the bean bags. He waved over to him.
"Hey Bay, save me a bean bag," he grinned over at his young Lion friend. Sander had a book in his hand and couldn't wait to participate in the Book Club discussion.

Humming happily to himself, Adi slowly made his way near to the Restricted Section of the Library. "Hi Mr. Kitridge,'' he said to the Librarian. "Hope you're doing well.'' He grinned and shuffled off towards Ian.
"Hello, Ian.'' Adi eased himself into the bean bag next to his friend. They hadn't gotten the chance to hang out since they worked together to polish the brooms for Professor Tyner. "What's up?''

Lux was all over that. With a smile on her face, she waved at Mr. Kitridge. "Hello, Mr. Kitridge. How are you today?" Spotting Bay, Sander, and Christmas she went to join them, taking the seat beside Sander. "Hey, guys. Aren't you excited? I love reading." This was going to be so much fun.

Ian smiled at his friend Adi. Hello, Adi. Ian shifted in the bean bag to try and get more comfortable. It didn't seem like it would be working very well. It seemed that these beanbags were rather uncomfortable. Sort of a good idea, in theory. Not much. Just here to talk about books. Maybe find some that suit me based on what others say. How about you?

A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Okay, so Kevin was not a reader. In fact the only books he ever read where comic books and the schools theory books but only because he HAS too. So why was he here at a book club meeting? Simple, to see if the man got angry or mad when he saw him hehe.
Finding a beanbag, the Gryffindor sat on it and stretched his legs. He pushed his gray hair out of his face and then placed his bag beside him. He did not say a greeting to anyone , neither to the Librarian. He simply sat there, looking at the man with a sly smirk on his face but he didn't do anything else. Just smirked and waited.
Cutty's eyes darted toward the restricted section. They were all so near, yet so far. Not that he didn't consider this another step in the general direction. He rounded on a violet beanbag and snapping himself out of his desire-induced stupor he flashed the school Librarian a smile. "Hello again, Mr. Kitridge." He greeted through his smile, although it wasn't the youthful smile it used to be, the boy being amongst the man students to have aged rapidly this year.
He practically fell into the center of the poufy beanbag and his eyes widened knowing that it was going to be a challenge to get out of there. Although he had been reading more, he'd brought along the two books he was furthest into. They rested between the young old boy's palms and against his knees.

Book club.
The Head Girl had been reading lots lately and considering she spent most of her time in the library these day anyway, why not attend? And so she wandered over to the meeting spot slowly, book tucked under her arm. If she remembered correctly, those bean bags were quite comfy. Something to look forward to.
Spotting an empty green one, the eighteen year old very carefully lowered down onto it and squished around a bit to get comfy. Then eyes went to Mr. Kitridge and she smiled a little. "Hello, Sir."

Sander decided that standing was too much of a strain on his back and so walked over to join Bay and Lux on the bean bag even as he waited for the librarian to acknowledge him.

"Hey Lux, I'm glad to see you here. Do you know whether Tessa will be joining us?" Sander asked his young Puffer friend, even as he kept a lookout for his girlfriend.
"I love reading too. I've been reading ever since my mother placed a book in my hand and told me to read to myself when I was five years old. Haven't stopped reading ever since then," Sander grinned in reply.
Then he turned to his young Lion friend.

It was awesome that everyone was so excited to be here at the book club like she was. "I'm not sure if Tessa will be here... but I hope so." Scanning the room, she saw a few people she knew, and hope that a lot more would arrive.
"I brought The Princess Bride because I want to see if romance novels will still make my want to throw up. What did you bring, Bay?" She was curious.
Book Club. How did Adelaide not know this existed? It was definitely right up her alley. After all her trunk was jam-packed with books of all sorts. She had The Great Gatsby, one of her favorites, tucked under her arm. It day say to bring a book with.
She smiled at Kitridge as she entered the room and looked around at all the bean bags. Then she spotted a familiar little red head (Lux) with an empty bean bag chair nearby. "Hey Lux." She said as she plopped down. Addi gave the young red head's other friends a small smile.

There was only one book Alice read continually, so obviously she'd brought that one. The seventh year's reading interest ranged from Muggle classics to fairytales to her Astronomy textbook, but the only piece of literature she'd brought along was her absolute favorite. And maybe Kitridge would have some interesting reading suggestions or discussions, so she didn't see any harm in attending his book club meeting.
Dropping into an empty blue bean bag next to Ella's, she offered a smile to the Head Girl before turning to their librarian.
"Hi, sir. Hope you're doing well."

Book Club Meetings. They were lovely to Javy, who had been a bookworm as well in his Hogwarts days. Taking one of his books along, he made his way along.
After arriving, he managed to curve his mouth into a small smile and curt nod for everyone, "Good day.." despite the joint pain going on from the walk. Then sitting himself in the red bean bag chair, he could now try to get comfy now.
Books were not Leah's favorites. Despite this fact, Leah headed up to the library with a few books for the Book Club Meeting. Who knows what else she might earn here.
"Hello, Prof- I mean, sir, Mr. Kitridge." Leah greeted. She remembered that the librarian did not seem really happy when she called him a professor last time. She smiled at everyone around, some of whom she knew, such as Ian, Christmas, Adi, Kevin and Adelaide. She sat down comfortably next to Kevin on a green beanbag. "Hiya. Long time no see, huh?" Leah said, smiling at him.

It seemed that not only the students but also the Care of Magical Creatures Professor decided to join the book club. He completely ignored his curt nod though like he Always did when people greeted and opened up his bag to grab out a comic book. He placed it on his lap and turned his head to the side when a young Hufflepuff girl sat down next to him on a green beanbag.
Long time no see....? Why did people say that? Kevin didn't care if he'd seen someone a short time ago or a long time. Who cared?! And another question... "yeah... who are you?"

Leah got bored really quickly. She picked up her book with shiny cover and started flipping it randomly when the boy next to her spoke. She nearly jumped up in surprise and shock at his reply.
"You... don't know me?" She said, scanning him thoroughly. Could she have been mistaken? "Well, I'm not sure... I might have mistaken you for another person." She said unconvincingly, still staring at him. She turned her gaze away and continued reading her book when she turned her head swiftly at the boy again and said, "No, I can't be wrong! Don't you remember our first Flying lesson?" Well, if he cannot remember it was not her fault.
You know who you are (Lux, Sander, Bay, Christmas).

A book club, yay! Alex loved reading and was pretty excited that she would get to discuss books. Things had been a little hectic lately and with all the required reading for class, not much time was available to read for fun. This would give her an excuse to catch up on her fun reading.
"Hello Mr. Kitridge", Alex said as she passed the Librarian. Seeing her friends sitting together as usual, Alex walked over to them and carefully sat down in the nearest beanbag. "Hi everyone", she said with enthusiasm. Ooooh, beanbags were not the best seating choice for the stiff and achy.

Lex wasn't here because of her love for reading, nor was she here because of any interest in discussing books that others might find oh so invigorating. Definitely not. Last time Mr. Kitridge hosted a book club there was food, food she didn't have to make for herself or wait for the house elves to set in the Great Hall.
The Gryffindor heard they were meant to bring books. Don't bother questioning what book she brought, it was harmful and possibly even more a danger in her possession. Curses were brilliant.
Alexa walked into the circle of book huggers and flopped in a seat by Ella and Alice. "Hello Sir." She sunk down into her seat and glanced at the two. "What are my chances of being fed here?"

Adrienne hadn't known that there was a Book Club at this school, because if she had she definitely would have been here for the past two years. Books were probably her most favourite things in the world, making it quite difficult for her to decide which one to bring today, as she was in the middle of at least four. Finally, she'd just reached out and grabbed the first book on the pile near her bedside that she touched, which happened to be Defensive Magical Theory, one that she'd been enjoying quite a bit. She blinked when she realised she was already in the library, and as soon as she saw the beanbags she made a dive for the bright sky blue one she saw nearby.
Getting comfortable in the fuzzy, bean-filled fabric, Adrienne scoped out who else was there. Mostly younger (well, older-looking, but first and second year) students, though a few sixth and seventh years and a professor. She smiled in Kitridge's direction and then opened her book, holding it up so her eyes were covered and pausing in reading to spy on everybody else every few words.

Sander fidgeted as he tried to find a comfortable position on the bean bag cushion all the time keeping an eye out for Tessa, when he noticed someone sit next to Lux. Was it Tessa? How could he have missed seeing her walk in? Sitting leaned back and glanced over Lux's head to see who it was.
He was disappointed to see that it wasn't Tessa. But she seemed to know Lux and according to Sander, any friend of his friends was his friend too. So he smiled and whispered,"Hello"
....then along came someone whom he knew very well. Alex.

He lifted up his book to display the book cover. "I brought the Dark is Rising by Susan B. Cooper," he told Alex.
