Gobstones Match: Hufflepuff vs. Ravenclaw

The building used for the Gobstones matches had had it's doors opened to the icy, winter air and it's surfaces magically dusted by Professor Botros and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's fourth match.

The yellow and blue marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.

OOC: Remember only members sorted into Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping. Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again because it's been updated. The thread is moderated so your answer won't show up until the sponsors allow it. In the brisk cold winter air it took Mr Kitridge some time to get down to the Gobstones building. On the porch he tried his best to pound off excessive snow from his shoes. Going inside he used his wand to turn on the lights and set fire to the small fire places to get some warmth in the cool room.

By the time the two houses arrived he had finished setting up for the game and had fetched their shooters and stones. Handing them out to the respective houses he said "Welcome to the fourth match of the year. Remember any horseplay or other unsportsmanlike conduct is heavily frowned upon and will be punished. Now then let's go have some fun!

Nigel Barrington and Ella Bishop grabbed their shooters and headed out onto the court. On Mr Kitridge's signal they two released their shooters. The stone's sped off with the yellow stone leading the blue all the way up to the jack stone. The blue stone made a move for the jack that ended dismally. The blue stone swerved to the side and off the court edge. The yellow stone stopped next to the Jack Stone.

"First point of the match goes to Hufflepuff!" Mr Kitridge announced.

Ella stayed on for the puffs while the eagles sent out a player from off the bench. The two released their stones. The blue stone rolled a few meters before it stopped and sprayed the Ravenclaw bench in smelly gob. The yellow stone rolled slow up next to the Jack Stone and stopped.

"2 points to Hufflepuff!" Mr Kitridge announced.

Aleksander Strand stepped up for Hufflepuff while Sophie Brown stepped up for Ravenclaw. Both students released the shooters after a brief glance of acknowledgment. The blue and golden marbles rolled onto the board with moderate speed, the blue marble seemed to have a problem and stopped two circles away from the goal releasing the foul gob, while the golden marble continued on to touch the Jack Stone.

The yellow stone swerved heavily to the right and stopped in the court spraying the badger bench in smelly gob. The blue stone could effortlessly roll up next to the Jack stone.
