Default Fifth Floor Corridor

Connecting the Ancient Runes classroom to the staircases and the other floors of the castle, the fifth floor corridor is home to more than just a few doors. You just have to find the doors to see what's behind them all.

Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite

Alexa flopped to the floor of the corridor, back against the wall and kneazle curled up in her lap. How were there so many people in the Common Room at this time of day? Wasn't it every Gryffindor's dream to hurry down to the Great Hall to be extra early for dinner? No? Just her? Too bad, she could have used some quiet so she could attempt this reading thing.

Lottie had written a lot since she'd given her this book and Lex didn't know where to start with this mountain of notes. It was no wonder too, this was mostly History.

She slammed the book shut, startling Felix just a bit. "I don't think this is gonna work. Too many things about events I know nothing about." Add that to her zero drive for reading and soon the book was being shoved to the side. That was a good attempt at studying while it lasted. Much better than the last.

Progress.

Officially meeting a Puffer did NOT go well. She was more like a snob that just needed to get her book shoved in her face and sent back to the basement. Either way, Jun was glad he finally managed to get away from her and onto another floor. But not before heading back to his dorm and putting away his candy bag. It all needed to be saved for later occasions. Wandering along a the corridor, Jun turned the corner and noticed a blonde someone. More like a blonde someone who could cheer him up.

Power walking, he slid down and ended up by Lex's legs. Smirking, he looked up to his favorite prefect. "Prefect Candy," he nodded to her.

And just like that she and Felix weren't alone in the corridor anymore. She watched his ears flickering before looking to the top of said corridor. Oh! Not bad company at all and here she was worried she'd suddenly be stuck with an idiot she'd be forced to be nice to. Talk about instant relief.

There was that name again. 'Prefect Candy'. Did that mean it was going to stick? She found it quite fitting.

"Jun." She said nodding back then smiling. "Were you trying to beat the crowd down to dinner?" Because if so, he was still early even for being early. Even without having a watch on her she hadn't left the Common Room long ago and the clock in there said she had TOO MUCH time to kill, but not enough to grab something down in the kitchen. Not to mention it'd just be rude. What with the elves currently working to get her fed. For now candy would do.

Hm, trying to beat the crowd? "No, not really. I mean I should since it will pile up soon since everyone is always hungry here," But then there was always the kitchen to sneak off to. But Jun wasn't really hungry right now. He was just mainly bored and need to get out of the common room. It was getting stuffy with all the first years that were quickly piling up and chatting all over the place. They just need to go up to their dorms and stay there until the sum rose up the next morning. And quietly was preferred. The Head of House was also in the common room, along with his house prefects so Jun couldn't hex them to cast a spell to make them leave.

How inconvenient.

"What about you? Sitting here all alone with your...kneazle," Jun liked animals and all but he wasn't fond of cats. Maybe not even kneazles because they were over-sized cats to wizards.

He was starting to get the right idea. Heading down before the rush ensured you got to sit where you wanted and save enough seats for your friends, not to mention it gave you all the right to choose who sat next to you and who most certainly did NOT. Still, plenty of time which she indicted by waving off the idea. "Eh, still got something near an hour before it's dinner, going down there now, you'll just stare at the empty table and eager Firsties." Neither of which were appealing might she add.

"Might as well sit here and waste time with me." She said with a shrug and a grin. Felix was fine company but people were usually better, especially in times like this when the feline was all for curling up and abandoning her for sleep.

Lex glanced to the book she'd shoved away by some distance. "I was trying that studying thing people keep talking about but you'd never believe how many people are up in the Common Room right now and I can't study on my bed in my dorm...yeah...that's a recipe for getting nothing done." What would have started out as 'reading' would turn into her boucning on the bed then before she knew it, she'd be full on jumping and kicking the book away. "So far I'm failing but you could probably already tell."

Ah, very true. Which would mean Jun would have to deal with the first years even more. Plus, if they had friends, he swore he would make Charlie bring him food to the common room. She was nice enough to do it. And the girl didn't really talk much anyway. She wouldn't get suspected for anything. Charlie would be helping out a lovely friend. Lovely on certain days. And depended on who was around too. "No, thanks. I deal with them enough in the common room. All gawking at the ceiling and out the windows. Who knew I'd have no tolerance for first years," he sighed. Even if he was one years ago. But not as annoying as the ones that flood the common room now.

He nodded. "Being with you makes it all worthwhile," he tried to hold back a laugh but Jun snorted instead. At least he had someone to joke around like this with. Because Lottie said he found it annoying. But Jun knew she was just a fun sucker and all that. Though, there were times she fell for his flirtatious jokes. It made everything better.

"Don't think anyone could. I'd probably fall asleep or fling my book somewhere," Which he usually did. That's why he studied at the tables in the common room. Ear plugs came in handy then. And if someone needed his attention a LIGHT tap would do. IF he wanted to talk to the person too. Failing??? "Classes haven't even started and you're failing? How do you even manage that?"

This was beginning to sound like a Universal problem. Firsties running a muck in the Common Room, making it harder for anything to get done. "Something special going on up in your ceilings?" She asked, questioning eyebrow raised. No matter how bored she was as a First Year, she'd never taken to staring at any ceilings...except the one in the Great Hall on the first night but that got old, fast. And wasn't that a pity, no tolerance for the ickles. "I don't mind them, they're full of spunk and eager to do what you tell them. It's the annoying little brats I can't stand and guess who's obligated to be nice to them now." Which reminded her. "With my rotten luck that Kevin kid ended up with us and had a grand time telling me I was a bad prefect." Good thing she didn't care for the opinions of 11 year olds, yeah?

And what?.........Hahaha, nice one. "Well of course it does. I'm brilliant company and it's nice of you to notice." She said, trying to put on her best snobbish voice before pulling a face at him. He liked doing that didn't he? The flirting, she'd noticed it, remarkably too considering most things flew right by her. Lottie would be proud. From what she could tell he didn't mean anything serious by it which was good enough for her. She could take jokes.

Ah-hah! See? She wasn't the only one with the idea to hurl books without thinking twice. "I find the History of Magic ones are the best for throwing but the Arithmancy ones get more distance ." There was a time when she used to do the same with her Ancient Runes books but not after Botros. He made her see it in a new light. The light that says she's screwed in his class and can't destroy things if she doesn't know the runes. She chuckled, realizing he'd misunderstood the failing. "I'm not that bad. I meant I'm failing at studying." Lex clarified, nodding toward the book just a little ways off from them. Got through the first line then gave up. "It'll take half the year for me to start failing anything." Though she'd never failed before...except that Charms homework where she got marked down for sass....yeah...

Jun shook his head. There was never anything special about their ceiling. There were just stars painted on it to look like the night sky. No big deal. They could look out the window at night for that. Or go up to the astronomy tower too. Pretty sure Flamsteed would let them if he were there of course. "That comes in handy. Most fall for it too," He tried it in his third year and it worked too. Ah, good times. Those were his only favorite first years. All the others could fall down the steps and roll into the hospital wing. "Better you than me," he joked. Still, he felt bad for Lex because now she had to deal with Kevin. He was sure not even his parents wanted to deal with him either. Probably. "Nah, you're the best prefect,"

"And anyone who doesn't see that is dumb," Jun grinned. It was true. Lex hadn't really made him so annoyed. He didn't even count how they first met on the train anymore. Maybe he should stop with the flirting. But now that he was newly single, it wouldn't hurt. Lottie suggested it too. Just not with her. She was no fun. "We should plan our date soon," Which would have to be the kitchen for now because Hogsmeade wasn't opened yet.

"Oh," Well he felt a bit dumb. "I usually throw my divination one. But seeing as Elwood is my Head of House AND Divination teacher, I usually dump it into my trunk," And that's where it would usually stay for sometime. Unless he decided to take up her class again. Which he might do this term to get on her good side. Then if he causes some havoc, she could let him off a bit easy. "Just half the year? You start slacking off, don't you?" Jun understood. He got like that sometimes. But his mother threatened not to send him to Seoul anymore if he let his grades slip. Jun was so NOT letting that happen.

Nothing going on up in the ceilings made her worry even more about these Firsties. Then they said she had a short attention span?? Merlin. "I think some of them are hilarious. There was this one Puffer Firstie at our table. Looked like she'd have a heart attack when I asked if she was lost. Apparently the badge is intimidating now?" How even? As a Firstie she didn't much care for anyone with a badge, they couldn't tell her what to do either. Pfft. And wasn't that just the brightest bit of Snake logic. Better her than him. She could respect that but only because she would have been thinking it too were the tables turned and the boy had ended up somewhere else. "Best Prefect?" She asked with a grin, pleased by the idea. "And just how many others have you run into anyway?" Couldn't be a fair assessment if she was the only one...in theory.

Lex gave him a solemn nod. Compliments, she liked them and he wasn't getting all sickening with them so she'd definitely let him continue. It was refreshing to say the least. "Right? Clearly those people haven't spent any time with me...but perhaps that might be a good thing?" She wasn't in the habit of hanging with dumb people. They gave her headaches. Alexa blinked when he said date before it finally hit her. "Ooohhhh! Right! The candy date!" And an internal slap to the back of her head for forgetting anything candy related. "We will. It could probably be by the fireplace in the kitchen at a time when the elves aren't cooking so we don't get in the way." Either that or wait for Hogsmeade?

That was some bad luck there. His Head of House being the one to teach the subject he throws books in. She'd find out and it'd be extra awkward for him. "Divination books aren't all that thick, excellent for tossing, good choice but Elwood might see it in her crystal ball and come after you. Who knows." So yeah, good he stopped. No telling what that woman might do. She'd only ever seen her mad once. Lex gave a guilty smile before responding to his question. "Yup!" Seriously, when ALL the Professors start giving homework at the same time, it was time to start adamantly saying NO...then rushing through everything at the last minute. "I still get work done of course," Otherwise she'd have some explaining to do with her father, "It's just...not taken as seriously."

"Firsties would automatically be afraid of the badge. You're 'authority' now. You can rat on them and all that," Well, at least some firsties would. Like the girl in his house wasn't really afraid of their prefects. She made friends with their captain right away. She was going to be just fine in their house. Lucky girl. How many others? Hmm. None exactly. "I'm just saying. Maybe my opinion will change if I meet others," he nodded. Jun had seen his house prefects but didn't really talk to them. "So I'll just take back on comment and send it off to another, yeah?" Mhm. Lex'll get it back when she proved she was the best. Too bad for her.

Jun nodded. "Yeah, because now I get you all to myseeeeeeeeeeeelf!" Which was good because he didn't like sharing. Definitely wouldn't share Prefect Candy with anyone. Maybe he'll stick a badge on her forehead that read: "Property of Juni Jun". He'll charm it on so Lex won't take it off until he let her do so. Mhm. "Yes, because an actual would be weird? Well, not really but I usually like to get to know a girl more before doing on a date with her," Which didn't always happen that way because tie-dye took risks. Usually they ended up good, but sometimes not. "Maybe we'll have a dessert date while we wait for Hogsmeade to be opened," That way he could save his sweets for later. Or he could take some from Lottie if she let him.

Oh jeez he hoped not. Elwood should keep away from her crystal ball until further notice. Jun might reconsider taking her class this term. But then again, he should at least try to be good at divination. "How about I help you out then? I've gotten used to doing homework right away since mum has me threatened," Which she would never let go only because Jun kept insisting on the family moving to Korea. He would be a lot more happier if that happened. But then he'd have to deal with Andy and that was just a no. "No one really takes homework seriously. Not even us Ravenclaws," Very true. For Jun it was Ancient Runes homework. Which he set on fire after tries and tries in his dorm. It made his room all warm and cozy.

*Walking down the corridor Romulus had his face in a book. Today's book was spells on gardening. As long as he had a book the world around him didn't matter much. It was odd how quickly he fell back into his old routine.*

Lex couldn't help but give a snort at that thought. Her being 'authority' now? That definitely wasn't how she'd seen it when Kurumi had the badge....not for a while anyway and it wasn't how she saw Ira either. They were more like fixtures to her than the voice that was allowed to tell her what to do. "I think they'll figure out on their own that I don't rat, not unless they make a bloody obvious mess of the whole thing." She could keep quiet if they could be professional enough and NOT get caught. And whaaaaat. Alexa made a face at him before giving him a nudge. "Nope. No take backs. That titles mine now and anyone else will have to outdo me for it." You didn't just say she was the best then take it back, no Jun, that wasn't how she worked. "For now, I'm still the best, yeah?" And yes there was a wrong answer.

How was she meant to take him seriously when he said things like that? "I'm sure you do but I have a few people who might have a problem with that." And one that DEFINITELY would. Weird was right though, in fact she could have chosen a better word if she was the one saying the sentence. A date with someone you barely knew was weird, a date on its own was weird to her. Even if she'd never been on one she was almost 1000% sure they would only go horribly as all things related to such things did but this conversation was getting back to some normalcy. "I like that idea! Save the candy date for Hogsmeade and just stuff our faces with cake and cupcakes for now. Cookies too. The elves make some of the best double chocolate chippers I've ever had."

How had they moved from him offering to do her homework at the feast to him offering to help?? Oh yeah...her bones were still perfectly in tact and she wasn't suffering from some severe hex. Nevermiiind, she'd take the deal. It was good considering the circumstances and all. "Sounds good. You should haul me off to do homework as soon as we get it, otherwise Merlin knows when I'll get it done." The night before it was due? Yeah that sounded about right. "And is that a fact? I mean, I know of some pretty intense claws when it comes to that sort of thing, but then I guess they aren't the majority...." So there was always that.

True. Firsties could figure stuff out. But not for a while. "Why not mess with them for some time? Nothing too drastic, you know? But a little messing with them because you do more so now," Jun knew he wouldn't get a badge. Nor would he allow Elwood to give him a badge. She would regret that later. Very much. He wouldn't even be a good prefect. He'd let the first years travel to the tower themselves and throw students into the lake if they were misbehaving. Things like that. Jun laughed. Not much he could do now anyway. "Alright, you can keep it. I just need to meet another prefect and test them out for the title," Which they probably won't because he had high expectation for Lex. Maybe too high ones.

Like just jump into a relationship? Jun found that dumb. You have to be sure you like the person first before dating them. Then it'd be a waste of time. In his last relationship, he knew the girl since they were little and it still didn't work out. Oops. "I'm sure there's people like that all around," he nodded. Also added to the list of people to avoid. And said list was getting long. "Fireplace it is then! I bet they do too! I'll have to try some more," And steal some of course. But maybe not so much since he'd have a hard time taking it all up to his dorm. Jun'll have to charm another bags. Specifically for sweets and not candy. For now at least.

"I'll try my best and if you're not on prefect duties," But either way, Jun would still drag her away because he could. Jun didn't really care for her prefect duties either. She couldn't keep the badge if her grades were bad right? So homework was more important. "Yes, it's a fact. My friend Charlie is a 'claw too and she's not too keen on doing homework either," Or at least he's never seen her do homework. But she was probably in the library doing it. Jun preferred the common room. You know, when it wasn't all crowded and stuff.

That was a good question, really it was and it would have made all the sense in the world to but...."I used to be the most gullible Firstie ever." Seriously, looking back, she couldn't believe half the things she'd actually fallen for. "And of course lots of older students told me anything just to see if I'd do it--granted I'd do it even if I didn't believe it but stay with me here. I don't see the point in doing it to them, because I was once them and hated everyone older than 11 for it." Playing jokes and telling them a few white lies was all good and fun until someone told them the truth and there was always that one Puffer guy who liked telling the truth. "Alright..." since he insisted on having something to compare her too....."You should meet a dude named Theo, Kinsley, Slytherin Prefect. Bet you'd think I deserve my title after that."

Awesome, they were settling on the fireplace. Lex had never actually spent time on that side of the kitchen. The girl was rubbish at making things as simple as sandwiches. Adding fire to the mix was a no, not with food she intended to eat anyway. "Mhm, you should. And I think we can get them to make these really good cupcakes too, the ones that are kinda soft when you bite them--like the muffins they make. I suggest you take an active part in planning unless you want everything to end up in chocolate." That was as fair a warning as he'd evr get. To say she was addicted to chocolate would have been an understatement. If she could marry it she would.

Oh ew, why'd he have to say it like that? Prefect duties? Bleh. She was cool with being a Prefect and learning this responsibility thing too but then you add the duties and her face just sank. "Unless there's a kid about to get his face hexed off, do feel free to interrupt." Obviously it wouldn't be anything all that important then. "You know Charlie too?? Well I mean it makes sense, you two being Claws and all but yeah..." She would have never guessed!

"Good job, Lex. Setting a bad example for the first years!" Jun wagged a finger at her. Of course he was only joking because he wasn't a good example either. And hating everyone over eleven was fair. Older kids did treat the younger ones badly because supposedly they knew everything. Or were smarter; but that was barely the case. Usually the older kids were dumb and stuff like that. Not all of them, maybe like a handful were. Theo Kinsley. Yeah, Jun's never met that kid before. But since Lex said he should, he might as well. "Why? Won't live up to my expectations of Best Prefect?" Because if he wasn't, then maybe he shouldn't meet this prefect.

"You really like chocolate, don't you?" Jun liked chocolate, but maybe not as much as Lex. He always preferred candy that wasn't chocolate. He had nothing against it. It just wasn't his style. Hmm. He'd have to make a list and all that. "I'd probably make pastries or something like that," Because those were simple to make. Or at least to his crazy brother they were. Jun usually ate stole them right after Kai made them and ran off to his room. Or the basement. Kai never went into the basement. "We'll need drinks too," Unless they wanted to eat it all dry and that was just a NO.

Jun nodded. "Not unless I want my face hexed off too," That was another no. He liked his face and the place where it was. It didn't need to be anywhere else. Well, maybe snogging a girl on the occasion but not anytime soon. He chuckled. "Yeah, she's a good friend of mine. Likes to sit on me when I'm trying to sleep on the common room couch, but still a good friend," Which was true. She even saved him from a bad hair day last term when it rained and he didn't have an umbrella on him.

Lex made a face at Jun, not all that bothered by his smart remark on her being a lovely influence on the Firsties. Merlin knew together they were even worse but in all that the Firsties hadn't gotten themselves eaten yet. She was willing to call this start of term a success!! As for the 'why' Lex gave a simple shrug. "Let's just say after meeting him you'll be dying to adhaero that 'best Prefect' badge to my forehead if you have to. He's...er, not the easiest person to get along with." See how nice she was being? Not insulting so to speak but not going to lie to Jun either. Theo was HORRID, truly, he was to her at least but maybe someone else would see something else? Eh, she doubted it highly. That badge was hers.

"Like would be an understatement." Lex confirmed, without so much as a little blinking. It was a well known fact. If you wanted something give her chocolate, if you wanted to force something down her throat...dip it in chocolate. It'd caused a HUGE problem last term with the love potion made in the chocolate but she was willing to overlook that...and never take sweets from foreigners again. "You can make them? That's even better! We won't have to bother the house elves too much!" It was either Jun or the house elves. When it came to the kitchen, the Gryffindor was a DANGER to not only herself but others. As for the juice...oh wow, she'd never gotten that far in thinking. "I'm sure we'll find something down there. Lots to get juice from. Milk, lemonade, ice-tea, pumpkin juice, you name it." Drinks were totally covered, yup.

Heh, yeah, there was the logic again. "Right, so if someone's about to let a hex fly you can wait for me to floor them first but under normal circumstances you can haul me off and I can talk to them later. Maybe by then I'll have gained some interest in what they have to say." Unless caring was another responsibility of the badge? Merlin she hoped not. Empathy wasn't the easiest thing to fake you know. Oh, and that was interesting. Lex tilted her head and gave him a curiously amused look. "Are you that comfy?"

Laura was just walking around, wondering what to do next. She had been bored for a bit but well things would soon change when the lesson came and then unfortunately time would fly until she had to graduate from the school but until that time she was going to have fun and try and get as many house points as she could.

Lux was not entirely sure why she was on the Fifth Floor corridor other than the fact that she was bored out of her mind and figured that maybe if she wandered the corridors, she would find someone she knew. She loved Hogwarts, but really it could be so very dull when there were no classes to attend and all your friends were somewhere else.

Sighing, she was about to give up hope of finding any of her friends when she spotted Laura. Oh, yay. She liked Laura. Beaming, she approached the older girl. "Hey there!"

Laura was hoping to make friends with a few of the younger students. "Are you enjoying your time at Hogwarts?" Laura then nudged her younger friend. "Oh and have you flirted with a boy yet?"

Lux beamed at all the questions; seemed as if she was not the only one to ask a lot of them. Now Laura was too! "I'm good, just bored and wandering the halls. What about you? And I LOVE Hogwarts." Oh goodness. Just talking about it made her so happy, and she began to bounce on the balls of her feel again for probably the millionth time. It just made her so hyper to be at such an awesome school!

Laura giggled as Lux didn't answer her last question. "Come on then, tell me who you've got your eye on." Laura giggled seriously that would be the only reason she hadn't answered the question.

"Oh I'm just looking around for a few things." Laura had no idea what she was going to do next and now she was really wishing she could find something cool on this floor. "I'm trying to see if I can find a place I've never been before." Laura beamed.

Lux could feel herself turn red as Laura asked her again about boys. She had been trying to forget all about that question in the hopes that if she did, Laura might forget having asked it in the first place. "Ewww, that's gross!" She did not like any boy in that way. The very thought of liking a boy in that way made her want to gag.

"Oh, that sounds like fun! Have you ever been to the Room of Requirement?" She was curious, because she never had and that was one of the places that she wanted to explore at Hogwarts.

Jun nodded. Maybe meeting this guy won't be a good idea. He'll just let Lex keep her badge. Much easier and no rude people to meet. Good plan. "Yeah, I'm just gonna let you keep the badge," he grinned, lightly slapping her forehead in a gesture of putting the pretend badge on her. Too bad he didn't have an actual one. Maybe he'll take her current prefect one and and add '[i]BEST]/i]' onto it. Mhm, better than walking around with one on her head. But maybe Lex would even want that.

"So I'm going with love," And that's it. Lex loved chocolate. Jun, on the other hand, wasn't too keen on chocolate. Sure he liked it. But not so much. It made him thirsty and just no thank you. Like if it was one pepero, he'd eat all the boxes he could. He'd make it a meal and hide out in his room. No wonder his mother stopped sending him some last year. Jokes on her because he packed enough for this term. Haha. "Well, I cook mostly. I can bake, sure. Pretty sure the house elves would become annoyed with us and kick us out," Because they didn't want extra work making food for two people. They already make enough for the entire school. "I'll take up some pumpkin juice," Because it was his favorite at school. Too bad they didn't really have any back home or at his grandmother's.

"Why don't I just let you pin them down to the floor and pretend I didn't see anything?" That made things easier for him. It's not like would actually tell a professor that he was there and was just a bystander. That was no fun. "OR I can pin them down or something. You can just enjoy and watch," Because Jun hadn't hexed someone in a while and it was needed. Now he just needed a victim and he was fine. And a spot where the person could be cornered. He shrugged. "I guess? Wanna find out?" Jun stretched out his legs and patted them. He had no idea why Charlie even sat on him that night. But she didn't move for a while. Good thing Jun was too comfortable on the couch to even care.

Jun could take a hint, this was a good quality right here and saved him from having to meet people he'd rather never run into in his entire life. Granted, everyone else seemed to like Theo enough meaning he was only rude to her but that was the beauty in it. She was the only one allowed to not care. "I like this plan, yup." Best Prefect was hers. She grinned at his gesture of badging her with an invisible badge to the forehead. "I'll shine it twice a day." And a solemn nod. If only she had a badge like that, it really would be kept in good condition.

Now they were getting to the hard truth...sorta. It was more of an addiction when it came to chocolate. Staying away for two long made her break out into rashes and let's not forget the headaches that came with it as well. Withdrawal, not the best thing. Oh! Oh! Oh! He did more than bake, he could actually cook. "Why didn't I know you after the house elves got stolen? Could have saved myself the starvation or subjection to the horrid food this place had. Of course you know this means you'll have to cook for me at some point." He knew this, of course he did. It was one of those things that went without saying. "And you're in luck. I can't think of a time when the kitchen doesn't have pumpkin juice." This Dessert Date was starting to sound better and better, but it obviously would for the fact that there was SUGAR involved.

"You'd do that?" She asked, liking the idea very much. People who could see then pretend they saw nothing were her favourite. Seriously. No one liked snitches. It wasn't quite the same when the tables were turned though. "I'd love to, it would be entertaining but as a Prefect I'd have to NOT enjoy it otherwise it's considered bad form. Maybe I could leave the corridor first? Plausible deniability and all?" That still existed, yeah?

And a trial run now? Lex paused for a moment, considering the appropriateness of the situation especially given her badge but then she remembered it was just Jun and they weren't actually up to anything so..."Mmk." Why not? She did want to know. Lex eased Felix off her lap then plopped onto his legs. Were they comfy? She gave it a moment's thought. "Hmmm......." Truthfully they were comfier than most so, "You're nothing like a couch but I'll agree with Charlie, you are comfy."
