Restricted Section

The restricted section of the library is as the name implies restricted. In this roped off and locked section you will find old fragile books and tomes. Some of the texts are dark and dangerous and therefore cannot be kept where just anyone can get a hold of them. Should you need to access to this area to retrieve a book, you need to seek out the librarian; Mr Kitridge with a signed permission slip from a professor. This will allow you to obtain the book you need.

Do not enter the restricted section without permission . It is not advisable and any students found in the restricted section without permission will be punished. Mr Kitridge is happy to help but some books are just dangerous and too dark.

Having looked at most of the titles should could see at her height without a ladder, Medea leaned against short counter connected to the shelf behind her, staring at the book titles further up in front of her, arms eventually crossing. Hopelessness, was the light at the end of the tunnel. It would be a load of half paired dirty socks if she couldn't find the information here. Might actually have to go BUY the book then. Eh.

Opening a blue kneazle eye Madonna watched the woman enter the restricted section. Yawning she stood up from her resting place and stretched out in full length with a long pur. Walking silently up behind the woman on silent paws Madonna sat down on the floor and hissed loudly as if saying I SEE YOU.

For the LOVE of ORANGE GRAPES... "Madonna!" HONEST to MERLIN, cats were going to be the death of her. Heart pounding as fast as a snitch's wings, the defense professor chuckled, leaning against the counter top as her hand fell from her chest and flopped upon the fallen book. "Oh sveetie...jeez."

Breaths. Oooohkay. Wait...had that been a hiss?

Licking her paws meticulously Madonna waited to be spotted. When the woman dropped her book the white kneazle let out a smug purring sound. Prancing up to the book on the floor she sat down on top of it and HISSED up at the intruder. Never mind that the woman knew her name, with her master gone it was up to hear to stand guard.

Lifting a paw she fixed her blue cat eyes on the woman.

Snapping her hand away from the book, she took a step back from the cat and book, eyebrow raised. Dear Merlin, that was a hiss. At HER? That...she...but whyyyyy? "Madonna." Disbelief was evident as ever in her voice. "Oh, don't be a silly, pretty. You know me."

Keeping her distance, she slowly bent down, eyeing both cat and book. Couldn't very well leeeave that there on the floor. Couldn't very well have her hand clawed either, and by golly, she was not going to use magic on a cat. Least not any other cat other than Erma.

Dilemma.

Leo was just going to kick back and relax in his chair by the front desk when the restricted section alarm went off. Jumping to his feet, fearing the worst he strode quickly over towards the restricted section.

The scene that met him was not the one he had anticipated at all. Looking from his staring kneazle to Medea he wondered what was going on. Noting the book on the floor, probably a restricted section book Leo asked. "Medea, what's going on?"

Sitting like a queen on the book Madonna purred contentedly when her master showed up on the scene. Jumping off the book with grace she went and stroked herself against her master's leg for a pet and a cuddle. She had deserved that for stopping the intruder.

Picking up the unguarded book, she fidgeted somewhat. "Don't think Madonna likes me anymore."

Now Medea knew her ears hadn't decieved her, since Madonna had hissed twice, but, before she could answer Leo, she was briefly taken aback with his second question. Had she done something to offend Madonna? That, well...yes, she supposed it was a logical question to ask. "Not that I'm of." she answered honestly, fiddling with the edge of the book. "Unless she just doesn't like people in the restricted section. She...hissed at me. Twice."

Momentarily Leo stopped stroking Madonna by the ears to scratch his chin thoughtfully. "I think the hissing could be my fault. I've probably talked too much about how I don't want just anyone browsing around in the restricted section."

"Madonna takes guarding the library very seriously." He commented with a loving glance down at the kneazle in his arms. "Did you come to borrow a book from the restricted section?" Leo didn’t want to pry but it was his business if someone wanted to borrow books especially from the restricted section.

As Madonna started to wriggle in Leo’s arms he let her jump down. He watched his beloved kneazle prance out towards the centre of the library to no doubt get a nap in her basket. Turning to Medea again he eyed the book she was aiming to borrow. "Sure, it’s all right. Just make sure no student get’s their hands on the book." Leo didn’t want any injuries even if Medea knew what she was doing.

Taking a step closer to the defense professor he asked. "Did you and Callie end up going to a spa over the summer?" It seemed like a safe topic to bring up before he got more serious.

Oh yes, they'd discussed that at the beginning of the summer in the sweet shop, didn't they? "Yea...yea, ve did. It vos...vell, it vos a spa." What more could one say?

"Think you'll go to a spa again sometime in the future?" It seemed like something worth asking considering that he didn't quite interpret whether Medea had liked her spa visit with Callie or not.

"I'm not entirely sure." While she was all for relaxing and being at peace with one's inner self, the spa just wasn't the way to go with her. Dismissing the topic of the spa Leo reassured Medea. "Rose is fine. Her arm is already as good as new. The healers in France were skilled they just did things a little differently. They removed the bone before they put it back and healed it." A very painful experience too which Leo was very grateful he hadn’t had to endure. His sister was made of strong stuff.

Feeling something wet land on his face Leo reflexedly took several steps backwards and pulled Medea after and against him. Tossing all the caution to wind Leo leaned in and kissed Medea on the lips. Pulling back he just stood speechless and looked at her. How would she react?

"I think water is dripping from the ceiling. Peeves is probably at it again." He mumbled distractedly.

What a relief that was. Despite...the painful experience.

But before she could verbalize her thoughts, a squeak escaped her as she was suddenly tugged forward, against Leo. Oh my! Ahem. She fidgeted, awkwardly, hands upon the sides of his arms to help her regain her balance before she turned her gaze questionably up towards the librarian-

OH MY! L(°ｏ°)」

She...oh...what.......to do....

Those few quick seconds of a kiss was weighed down with so much confusion, she didn't particularly have enough thought to react. After he'd pulled away, she stared back at Leo, just as surprised as he seemed. Although, her words had not yet come back to her yet. "Oh." she managed in reply, finding that the tips of her fingers and toes started to feel like static as an uncomfortable feeling settled in the pit of her stomach.
