Slytherin House Table

The Snakes sit under a brand new silver and green banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. It was once said that the Hogwarts House Elves are the best in the world. It is up to your stomach to agree... but surely it will! Why wouldn't it like elf cooking?

If you're thirsty, there is also fresh pumpkin juice and water on the table, regardless of whether or not it is actually mealtime.

His Cattycakes needed him. His best friend. His best friend's girlfriend. His personal chef/baker, though he would never call her that to her face. Either way, because of all of these titles, and where they were meeting, Aidan was very excited to see what she needed him for.

It was probably food related.

He thought about it a lot on the long walk down from Ravenclaw tower. It might be fudge, since that was the first food he ever tasted of hers, and that he loved and requested more of. It might be any kind of chocolate something, because chocolate was just good. It might be a bacon something because honestly, bacon was the best food ever created and Cat KNEW just how much he loved it and loved trying things that wouldn't normally have bacon in it, bacon-ized. Or it could be lasagne. Because that was probably the second or third best food ever invented. And Cat's was excellent.

Hands in his pockets, the fifth year made his way to the Slytherin table, because that would be Cat's turf, and took a seat while he waited for her. Although it felt weird to wait for her. Her common room was closer, after all. And if it WAS food tasting she needed him for, the kitchen was even closer. So where was she?

Caterina had walked from the kitchen with several plates stacked in her hands. She'd had to walk slowly so as to not drop them and she was pretty sure that resulted her in being late. Late was better than having broken plates and food splattered on the ground, though.

She beamed when she saw that Aidan was waiting for her. Good. He was here and she wouldn't end up eating all the food herself. "Hiiiiii Aidan!" She placed the covered plates on the table and was ready for smacking his hands if he tried to look too soon. "You have your badge? This is official business."

Anastasia dropped herself onto the bench, exhausted. Getting used to a new place was hard and Hogwarts was a bit bigger than her last school. She'd gotten lost four times simply trying to find her way to the Great Hall so that she could get some food. She almost felt like crying when she'd got turned around for the last time. And in truth she'd be crying now if it weren't for the fact that she didn't want to seem weak in front of strangers.

She wasn't even all that hungry anymore but now that she'd finally found her way here she was going to stay for a bit anyway. If only because she didn't think her pride was up to attempting to find her way back to the Common Room yet.

Christmas was going to sit at her own table but saw the girl she had seen in the treehouse looking down and said "Struggling to find your way about the castle i could give you a tour or draw you a map so you don't get lost anymore"

"You're the Beauxbatons girl right?" Anastasia asked, not remembering the girls name from their previous brief meeting, or if she'd even gotten it. Nevertheless she looked up at the older girl with somewhat hopeful eyes. "Thank's for offering but I don't think a map would do me much good. I'm rubbish at reading them," she added somewhat desolately.

"Anastasia, or Ana, whichever you prefer," Ana said after Christmas introduced herself. Christmas. That was a slightly strange name. Although it did make Ana feel festive to hear the name. Oh Lord. Everytime someone mentioned Christmas she was going to think of the holiday. Speaking of she needed to get her Christmas jumpers. She hadn't packed them so she'd have to ask her Mamochka to send them to her.

"It's easier to remember, right?" Ana asked when Christmas responded that she'd prefer to call her Ana, like most other people did. "So, how are you today Christmas?" she questioned, attempting to make small talk with the other girl.

"That's what other people have said too. And I'm alright I guess. Now that I don't have to go anywhere for a bit. I'm happy to be sitting down as well," which she was because her feet were killing her. She probably shouldn't have been wearing stiletto's around the school when she didn't know where she was going. She'd know better for tomorrow.

Christmas smiled and said "Yeah it is good to sit down cause if you are wandering around trying to find things your feet would hurt" Christmas knew that her fourth year was the same but i mean she still got lost even now at times

"I think I might be investing in a good pair of flats," she said jokingly. Not that she'd be wearing high heels soon anyway. She'd be digging out her boots in the near future to deal with any snow or heavy rain.

While Ana was no longer hungry she was a bit thirsty and so she grabbed the pitcher of Pumpkin Juice and poured herself a glass before looking over at Christmas, "Would you like some?"

Pulling an extra goblet towards her Ana filled it before putting the pitcher of Pumpkin Juice back down and sliding the glass towards Christmas. Taking a sip of her drink Ana thought about what she could ask Christmas about.

"So besides Quidditch what's there to do around here recreation wise?" she finally settled upon asking. If she was going to make friends Ana would need to get involved in as many extracurricular activities as possible. She was already trying out for the Quidditch team but if she didn't make it she'd need other ways to connect with her peers.
