Office of Calista Elwood

The small tower office belonging to Divination Professor Calista Elwood is somewhat different that it has been in recent years--it's at least the cleanest its ever been. Being promoted to Ravenclaw Head of House had definitely made the Divination professor rethink the way she presented her self in the terms of her office. The floor which was before covered with parchments scribbled with instructions for various methods of scrying, personal notes, and even a few drawing here and there, books ranging from fantasy literature to textbooks, and a number of boxes are all gone and filed away either in the new shelving unit on the wall or have found a place on the many bookshelves. On one wall a picture of some sorts is hung up on the wall that first made its appearance in the office the term before. It was once covered by a bookshelf but it had broken the previous term and now the ghastly thing was stuck to the wall by a tricky permanent sticking charm.

The desk remains still a tad cluttered with the deck of tarot cards and funky-looking globe standing out the most. In the corner is a small, magically self-serving tea-table and ice box that serves visitors lemonade or tea and there is also a box of treats sitting on top as well. The window sill is home to the biting geranium that the Herbology Professor had given as a gift as well as a small mountain plant from a former Ravenclaw prefect.

The Ravenclaw Head of House's blue and gold parrot Galileo is still here on his perch sleeping or perhaps out flying if the weather is till warm enough. Please ask before petting him though because strange people may upset him. Lastly a large wagon with the words 'The Magnificent Clairvoyant Harmony Peacekeeper!' in faded gold calligraphy is parked on the back wall.

Merlin the boy was hyper.

"That's nice to hear, especially so early in the term." Meant promise for a hard working year hopefully. But she was sure he wouldn't work too hard and still have fun along the way.

A chat about O.W.L.'s, right that was one of her duties nowadays, right? Although he was a Gryffindor and technically Seren's duty. Maybe he meant more specifically for her subject? She would find out soon she guessed. "Oh I wouldn't mind at all Tag. Come on in and have a seat."

Following Professor Elwood Tag went in and glanced around her office. Tag had never been in here before so he took in as much as he could.

Whoops! The boy felt his foot slip a bit due to all the parchment scattered across the floor. Thankfully he hadn't completely slipped. So many books covered the place, but of course a teacher would have these many books in their office, or classroom at least.

"Is that a parrot?" Tag asked in disbelief as he took his seat. "That's a brilliant parrot! Is it your's Professor?"

The boy was still in awe but he looked upon the very nice looking Professor Elwood, and smiled up at her. His main reason for being here was just to get a general knowledge of what to expect for owls, but that didn't mean he couldn't have a short casual chat with her, yes? "How was your summer, Professor?"

Coming in behind the Gryffindor and closing the door, Professor Elwood didn't notice Tag nearly fall on the parchment around the floor but instead crossed to the ice box. "Would you like any iced tea or lemonade?" It was still warm out so she didn't want anything hot, and he was her guest after all, so she got to pick, right? Right.

Oh and he'd noticed Galileo? "Yes he is a parrot actually, and yes, he's mine. Galileo's been with me for many, many years. He was a gift a long time ago and has been by my side since." She walked over to the bird's perch on her way back to the desk and scratched his feathered head.

"My summer went well. I spent sometime in America looking around my home town, then some time visiting with Professor Romanos, and some general apartment searching." She had been planning on finding a new place to live during the summer but she didn't have to go into all that detail with him. "How was your's Mr. Kildare?"

Oh. Drinks. Nice. Tag smiled brightly at her and thought about his two choices. "Lemonade would be excellent, Professor. Thanks!" An so the boy sat more straight in his seat when he'd answered.

A parrot for a gift. That sounded like an brilliant gift to get. To get an animal for a gift, well, the person who gave him to you must be really close to you." No one just gave someone an animal for a gift. They had to be close to do something like that. "Does it repeat anything after you? Or is he a generally quiet parrot?"

"Sounds like you were very busy." Tag said with a small smile. "Visiting family or friends?" It was hard to visit friends and family, when Hogwarts was so far away from many places and took up a lot of the year. As much quality time with the loved ones had to spent when one got the chance. "Now the myth has been exposed. Professors are and do hang out with each other as friends outside of Hogwarts." That was always a weird thought.

"My summer was rather relaxing." And odd because he only saw Alec twice. The injustice. "Mr. Summers and I dragged each other on mattresses. Outside of my place. As well, I took my dog out for a walk one day, we went to the park. And I started dancing with him and got myself some muggle money from people passing by." Yeah, Professor Elwood must think Tag is mental now.
