After a long hard day of hunting, and lessons, or even just a busy weekend, your dormitories will be your haven. It will be more than just your home away from home, and it is the place where you can come and relax after a long day or a late night.

The four poster beds are surprisingly comfortable, and it's easy to get lost in the smooth red velvet covers. Should you want some privacy from your chatty dorm mates, feel free to close the hangings around you and lose yourself in sleep.

After all, every lion needs their rest.

Michael had forgotten how draining school could be. It was funny how he could spend all day playing Quidditch in the garden at home, help his mum restore a car and go for a ten kilometre jog with his dad and not be half as tired as he was after spending a day sitting through classes.

He entered the dormitory, walked over to his bed and flopped down onto it. His pet ferret Perseus wiggled his way out from under the covers and planted himself on Michael's chest while his pet Jarvey, Napoleon watched from the bedside table.

"One hundred days until Christmas."

Mitchell entered the dorms and immediately flung his bag onto his bed. He followed after it and landed with a flop onto his bed. "Boarding school was a bad idea. I can't even get away. I live here now." the American heaved.

He glanced over at his dorm mate. How long had he been here? Did he just say something about Christmas?

"Last triple digit day." Sooon. He'd have a break soooon.

Rolling onto his side and pushing Perseus out of the way so that he didn't get squashed, Michael eyed Mitchell with curiosity. "Having a hard time adjusting?" He had to admit that it did take some getting used to.

Mitchell laughed. He fished his baseball out from his nightstand and tossed it up in the air. He then caught it and tossed it up several times before answering. "Yeah. Used to be able to leave all together, go home, relax, not think for several hours..." He let out a sigh. Home. It was so much different.

"I guess it's not a bad thing being away all the time though. I think I'd prefer more of like how colleges do it though. You know, dorms in a different building."

[Mell]

"Yeah I guess that would be hard. I had a private tutor before I came to Hogwarts, so I don't really know any different." That's obviously why he had never had any problems adjusting to the Hogwarts way of life.

Michael thought about that for a moment before chuckling. "That would mean more walking for us though." His pet Jarvey jumped off the bedside table onto the bed watching Mitchell warily.

"You like it here though, right?"

"What was that like?" Mitchell asked. "I couldn't imagine having someone paying attention only to me. Where other people there?" Because he thought it would be really boring otherwise. Well... more boring than normal school anyway.

He laughed too. "Probably. But horizontal walking is way better than climbing up all those staircases." In fact, he was convinced the other day that it was never ending. That he was stuck on a treadmill-like set of stairs.

He watched the Jarvey for a second before responding. "Yeah. It's aight." he said with a nod. "I miss when I didn't have to think about what people meant by things though. Hopefully the British slang will kick in soon."

[Mell]

"No it was just me. And it was..." Michael took a moment to think about it. "Good and bad. There were no distractions so it was easier to concentrate." There was no loud BFF or pretty blonde Prefects to make his mind wander. "But it was lonely and boring at times too." Not to mention that his dad was constantly checking on him.

"Well that is true. No wonder there is no fat people at this school." Who needed treadmills when there were over a hundred staircases at Hogwarts. Which was probably good considering the food they were served every day.

Michael sat up, shoving his ferret and Jarvey out of the way and there was a mischievous look on his face. "Do you need me to translate for you?"

Mitchell nodded a little. "I couldn't do it. Too social." He liked people. He liked being distracted. He didn't like school invading her personal space. Living at school was a huge change for him.

He burst out in laughter at his dormmate's next comment. "I didn't even think about that. Makes total sense though." Not that he had to worry. He liked sports and running.

Yeah... that look... didn't look promising. He raised his brow. "I'd say yes, but that look on your face is telling me to run."

[Mell]

"I'm the same, but I didn't really have a choice." So you know he had to make do with the situation. He did learn some things so he supposed it wasn't a total waste of time.

"Aww come on!" Michael got up from his bed and moved over to Mitchell's and bounced a little. "Now would I do anything to get you into trouble?" Okay yeah he probably would. "The girls will think you're cool."

Surely that would get the guy interested.

Mitchell just looked at the other lion. Would homeboy over here get him in trouble, probably. Would it be worth it? Probably.

Plus. Girls. That was always good. Yup.

"Sure." he said with a nod. What's the worst that could happen?

That's the spirit!

The guy was a true lion.

"Okay then, here are a few just off the top of my head." He was going to have to think of the others. "So when you say someone is 'daft' it means their crazy. When you are 'chuffed' it means you're proud."

They were the simple every day words that Mitchell could use. "Now if you want to impress the girls. Use words like 'fancy' it means to like. Or if you say, 'you're the bee's knees' it means their awesome. And if you want to describe a girl's looks then use words like 'stunner, looker or 'a bit of alright.'" Michael paused for a moment.

"Okay maybe just use those words with other guys. I don't think the girls would like it very much."

Mitchell nodded. "So is daft something acceptable to say?" he asked. Because there were some versions of calling people crazy that were frowned upon. And chuffed just sounded weird. He wasn't going to try that one.

He then made a face. "Really? Fancy people now?" He didn't like that terminology. Fancy people sounded like fancy people. Like people at parties with dresses and tuxedos. "Does it mean 'want to date' like or 'you're a decent person' like?" Because that was important thing to know.

Bee's knees? That sounded like someone his grandfather would say. In fact, he was pretty sure he had heard him say that.

Stunner. Made sense. Looker made sense as well. The last one not so much. Seemed almost insulting rather. But apparently they weren't supposed to be used around girls anyway, so that was okay.

Bay was glad for this break.. laying down on his bed he gave a yawn.. "ohh man so tired" he told his pet Pgymy Puff Ziggy… moving the little fur ball up to his pillow Bay was relaxed but also hungry and thirsty.. but he was to lazy to get up.

Sentio Somnium!” The boy circled his wand over the delicious-looking chocolate chip muffin, blue eyes closed as he focused on the scene in his mind: beautiful, soft white sand, crystal blue waters, the soft sound of waves and seagulls in the background… there was a wooden beach chair facing the water. And in the water there were a number of people swimming near the shore - all girls around the boy’s age, with waist-length hair and the facial features of pure veelas. Louis was whistling a tune to himself as he walked up the steps into the boys’ dormitories. He had brought with him two muffins - one without any chocolate chips, which he took a big bite from, and another with chocolate chips on which he had just cast a charm down in the common room.

“Hey mate,” said the boy as he sat down on his bed, right next to Bay’s. “I brought you something,” he announced with a smile as he handed Bay the chocolate-chip muffin, blue eyes sparkling with eagerness.

Bay was staring up at the ceiling of his bed canopy while petting Ziggy.. he heard the door open up and hear someone talk.. he knew the voice instantly "Hey Louis…." he sat up to see what his best mate had brought him.. and it looked like a muffin.. Bay sniffed the air… chocolate chip muffins. "dude your totally the best you know that right?" he said while grabbing it from his hands.

munch…munch….munch

Bay finished the whole muffin.. "ohhhhhh that hit the spot.. how'd you know i was hungry?" he casted a look at Louis.. he closed his eyes to savour the taste and as soon as he opened his eyes he was on a beach with a lot of pretty ladies…

since this happened to him before he instantly put his hands out in front of him trying to reach for Louis.. "dude… not again…. ahahah but nice one…" he laughed while staring at the girls swimming… "yooo they want me to go swimming with them…. I wish you could see this" his jaw dropped a little bit… he shook his head… he had a girlfriend… bad Bay bad.

"What, don't tell me you don't like it," he said with an amused smile, pulling out a piece of parchment from his bedside table and beginning to scribble some notes. He knew Bay had a girlfriend but alas, a boy was allowed to daydream, right?

When Bay mentioned that the veelas in the dream wanted him to swim with them, Louis raised an eyebrow. "I'd join 'em, if I were you." Hehhh. Was he supposed to let Bay out of the dream now or could the other Gryffindor do it on his own? Lou wasn't sure. "Think you can find your way back?"

Bay started to blush.. yeah maybe he will join them swimming. He took of his sweater, he didn't want to get it wet.. and he dove.. he felt like he was in water.. but what ever he was actually diving into he didn't know..

“Harm you? Why would they do that?” asked Louis as he scribbled down some more notes onto his parchment.

And now Bay was panicking about a creature grabbing his leg. Lou tore his gaze away from his parchment and looked down at the boy, only to find the sweater he had pulled off earlier, wrapped around his right leg. Aw, poor Bay he wasn’t enjoying this at all. “I’ve got you, mate, don’t worry.” Louis pulled out his wand and pointed it at the boy on the floor. “Finite!” Louis then hopped off his bed, leaning toward Bay and helping the boy to stand by holding his arm. “You alright?” What had THAT been all about?! He’d just imagined pretty veelas, not… sharks! Though Louis DID have a fear of ocean waters because of sharks and other odd sea creatures. Perhaps he’d somehow thrown that into the daydream without realizing?

Louis laughed aloud when Bay came to the conclusion that he had been his own victim. “I guess this is why mothers always warn us not to leave our clothes on the floor…” muttered the boy as he sat back down on his bed, rolling up the parchment on which he’d taken his notes and putting it away.

As Bay asked if he had anything to drink, Louis nodded his head. He always kept an empty glass on his bedside table for whenever he needed a quick drink. Every morning, the elves seemed to catch sight of it and would clean it without the boy or anyone else ever noticing. “Aguamenti,” Louis whispered softly as he pointed his wand at the glass. Once the glass was filled up with cool water, he handed it to his friend.

“I think I’d be a little scared too if I saw my guardian on the floor squirming around,” he teased, leaning back into his pillow with a chuckle. Okay, okay, no laughing at poor Bay. He wouldn’t have accomplished his Charms homework if it hadn’t been for him. “Did you charm anyone with a daydream yet?”
